December 1998 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

December 1998 Edition.

The last issue of 1998 - so let us wish all of our readers and supporters a most happy Yuletide and a successful and prosperous New Year. 1999 promises to be a very important year for the Springbok Club as we approach the Millenium, and as can be seen from the relevant page on our "South African Exiles" web-site we already have a most interesting series of events and meetings mapped out. With all of the continent of Africa now languishing under Black rule it is becoming clear that the descent of the whole continent into anarchy and chaos is becoming more and more rapid. It is obvious therefore that sooner or later (perhaps sooner than most of us realise) the powers-that-be in the West will be FORCED to intervene and (dare we say it) re-colonise in order to restore order and civilisation. When that day comes we will be able to resume our rightful place in the country which we all love - and that, after all, is one of the main aims of the Springbok Club. We must start to organise ready for our "return" however, and with this aim in mind we plan to stage a week's seminar in a rather exotic location towards the end of 1999 under the theme of "A New Agenda for a New Millenium". If you are interested in participating then please let us know.

DAY OF THE VOW COMMEMORATION

The details of our special Day of the Vow gathering for 1998 are as follows :-

Date :  Tuesday 15th December 1998 (a day early we know, but it will be December 16th South African time when the event finishes!)

Time :  19.00 hrs onwards (no hard and fast starting time - feel free to turn up any time during the evening)

Venue : The Morpeth Arms, (the main function room), 58 Millbank, Westminster, London S.W.1. - nearest underground station :  Pimlico.

We are most honoured to be able to welcome as our Guest of Honour at this event Mr. Neil Hamilton, the former Conservative M.P. for Tatton from 1983 to 1997. As well as being an Assistant Government Whip from 1990 to 1992, and Under Secretary of State for Corporate Affairs at the Department of Trade and Industry from 1992 to 1994, Mr. Hamilton was also an active member of the British-South African Parliamentary Group from 1983 to 1994, and visited South Africa several times in this capacity. Although nowadays probably best known for the witch-hunt which was conducted against him by The Guardian newspaper and Mr. Mohammed al-Fayed, we know for certain that the full circumstances of this case have still to be finally established, and many important facts have still to be brought to light. To put it mildly, if it is a case of accepting the word of Mr. Hamilton or taking the word of a man who has constantly been refused British citizenship such as Mr. al-Fayed, then we know who we choose to believe! All in all, therefore, a man who it will be most interesting to hear speak! Incidentally, we also hope to be able to welcome an Italian student and supporter of the South African cause at this gathering.
Buffet snacks will be provided, and a small charge of £5.00 per head will be asked in order to help cover costs, which may be paid at the door.

CAN YOU HELP?

We are looking for a good venue somewhere in Central London to stage a video-showing in January. We need a room somewhere which possesses a video-player and large screen. Can anyone help we wonder? Although the venue on the Kent Coast where we staged our last braai was very good, we ideally would like to find somewhere in London to stage our two planned braais for 1999. Again if anyone knows of any outdoor site that we could use - ideally with a fixed braai-stand etc. already in place - then again please let us know.

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

One of our biggest supporters from South Africa itself, Alice Boshoff from Bloemfontein, tells us about an interesting home-based business opportunity which she is involved with. Evidently this will be suitable for anyone throughout the world. If you are interested then please contact Alice direct for more details.

Her e-mail addresses are:-

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

A regular feature in which we ask whether anyone knows the current whereabouts of a friend or colleague who has lost contact.

No.4 :  Mr. Rod Skinner.

Rod Skinner originally lived in Pietermartzburg, where he was a keen military historian who specialised in the marketing of militarana. He was last known to be living in the St.Lucia Bay area, and we would be very keen to make contact with him again.

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE

Another regular feature, in which we recommend a web-site which we feel may be of interest to readers. This month's site is entitled "The Other Side of South Africa". It is evidently based in Cape Town, and although we know very little about the people behind it (and indeed do not agree with everything which is written therein), it does even so contain a lot of extremely interesting and first-hand information about the rapidly deteriorating state of South African society. It can be accessed at :-

Finally, if you would prefer to be deleted from our "Springbok" mailing list then simply send us an e-mail with the word "unsubscribe" in it. Alternatively, if you liked this Cyber-Newsletter and think that any of your friends would like it also, then please let us have details of their e-mail addresses!
See you again next month!
