October 2019 Edition.

October 2019 edition

The British people voted decisively to leave the European Union on 23rd June 2016. It was not a narrow result as pro-EU sycophants try to claim, but was by a massive margin of over one and a quarter million! A victory margin of over one and a quarter million is not narrow!

Those who supported the Vote Leave campaign then expected Britain’s withdrawal from the EU to be quick and easy. It turned out, however, that there had to be a formal application by the UK Government to trigger Article 50 (which is the official mechanism for any nation to leave the EU), but for some unfathomable reason the then British Government of Theresa May took over nine months to apply for Article 50, only doing so on 29th March 2017. As there then had to be a statuary further two year delay in order to negotiate terms for withdrawal this meant that Britain was only due to leave the EU on 29th March 2019, i.e. almost three years after the original decision by the British people to leave had been made. In view of all the bureaucratic rigmarole involved this was acceptable – just. Unfortunately, however, the saga didn’t end there. The final exit date was postponed to 12th April 2019, and then to 31st October 2019 – and at the time of writing even this latest planned date doesn’t seem to be totally certain.

So what therefore has been the reason for this delay after delay? We are not conspiracy theorists, and dismiss all of the wacko conspiracy theories which alas abound in the crankier fringes of society with the contempt which they deserve – but we are not talking about a conspiracy theory here. We are talking about a conspiracy fact.

In February 2018 a report appeared in the Daily Telegraph stating that George Soros, the notorious American-based Hungarian financier who had made a multi-billion dollar fortune by currency-speculating on, inter alia, the fall in the value of the pound at the time of the “Black Wednesday” exit from the Exchange Rate Mechanism, was financing and orchestrating a campaign to prevent Brexit happening. He openly stated that he had contributed £400,000 to this campaign to thwart the democratic will of the British people, but the actual amount which he has ploughed into this campaign is believed to be far, far higher.

To call George Soros controversial would be an understatement. He is detested in his native Hungary to such an extent that the governing party in that country used his spectre to demonise the opposition, and then won a massive general election victory as a result. He is also greatly reviled in the United States – and not only by fruitcake conspiracy theorists, but more importantly in mainstream GOP circles.

Events which have happened since Soros’s announcement that he would be bankrolling an anti-Brexit campaign have been sinister in the extreme. Firstly a previously unknown foreign “businesswoman” named Gina Miller mysteriously had the wherewithal to mount a legal challenge to the government’s Brexit preparations in the courts, then massive pro-remain demonstrations occurred in London featuring masses of EU citizens, many of whom had been specially flown in from the continent for the occasion; this was then followed by the defections of several MPs who had been elected as Conservatives under the party’s 2017 Manifesto which promised to enact Brexit, who thereby robbed the Government of its Parliamentary majority, and then finally the unelected High Court took the unprecedented step of making a political decision and thereby over-ruling Government policy.

The hand of George Soros’s wealthy anti-Brexit campaign can of course be seen behind all of these recent most worrying developments. Happily, however, in spite of all the efforts and financial resources of this campaign, they do not appear to have triumphed, for at the time of writing the final enactment of Brexit seems to be unstoppable. When that joyful day arrives and the UK once again obtains complete independence and control over all the laws of the land two important steps must be taken as a matter of urgency. Firstly legislation must be passed to prevent foreigners such as Soros and his puppet Miller from interfering in internal British domestic affairs, and secondly, if the judiciary insists upon taking political decisions, then they must be elected rather than appointed.

The Springbok Club staged a most enjoyable, and indeed inspiring, trip to the annual “Salute to the Forties” festival at Chatham Dockyard last month. This event, which featured musical acts and other attractions with a 1940s theme, proved to be extremely well attended, with many of those in attendance coming dressed in period costume from this most patriotic and optimistic era in Britain’s recent history (and indeed that of all of the Commonwealth Dominions – including of course South Africa and Rhodesia at the time), even though most were of course far too young to have been alive at the time. It was also particularly encouraging to note that practically everyone in attendance seemed to be British, even though the Medway Towns apparently has quite a high immigrant population nowadays. The Springbok Club party managed to make some good and friendly contacts with several of the performing artists, and also remembered their sadly recently deceased member from Sweden, Lars Karnestam, by saying a few words in his honour and toasting his memory.

The Springbok Club will be holding its annual UDI Day commemoration meeting in mid-November, at which the guest speaker will be a member of the famous 1976 Rhodesia Tour party. More precise details about this event will be given in next month’s edition of the SCN.

Plans are still afoot to obtain another suitable venue whereat to stage the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony later this year, and fuller details will of course be given in future editions of the SCN.

The Patriotic Forum held a highly successful trip to Greenwich last month as a belated celebration of Canada Day. The Patriotic Forum party visited several sites in the area associated with General James Wolfe, including St.Alfege’s Church where he is buried, Churchfields and Macartney House where he lived during his youth, and the statue to him which overlooks Greenwich Park. The day culminated at a near-by hostelry where a leading member of the organisation gave a report-back about his recent trip to Newfoundland, detailing the historic places which he visited and emphasizing the friendliness and continuing very British nature of this distinct province of Canada.

The Patriotic Forum will be holding a special meeting in honour of the memory of the late, great Dennis Delderfield at the end of October, which it is hoped will be take place on Thursday 31st October so that all those in attendance can then go on to join the celebrations in Parliament Square to mark Britain’s anticipated final departure from the European Union – a cause which Dennis Delderfield devoted so much of the final years of his life in trying to achieve.

In December the Patriotic Forum anticipates holding a special meeting at which the guest speaker will be a famous former Conservative MP.

Work is now well under way towards the production of the third edition of the re-branded The Imperial Patriot (formerly S.A.Patriot/S.A.Patriot-in-Exile, which will be numbered No.40 for continuity purposes), and it is anticipated that this will be published before the end of the year. Back-copies of the magazine are available price £1.00 each, or £20.00 for a batch of 50 for re-distribution to friends and colleagues. Cheques should be made payable to “Patriotic Press” and sent to: Patriotic Press, BM SAPAT, London WC1N 3XX, U.K. (Bank account details if you’d prefer to pay by direct bank transfer are available upon request).

We have recently received this following further most harrowing message from the Network for Animals organisation, illustrating yet again the appalling conditions which pertain in the “new” South Africa. It reads as follows :-

“Three times we planned to visit Hillview in South Africa to rescue street dogs. Three times our security company refused to let us go because of the danger from gangsters. On our fourth attempt we made it. Nothing can stop our mission to save animals.

“In 20 nervous minutes, we filled a rescue truck with dogs desperately in need of medical care. We had to leave so many behind.

“Hillview is a squalid settlement of shacks in one of the poorest areas of Cape Town. Until now, dogs have had absolutely no help there, because gangsters use its narrow alleys to hide from police and view any outsider as a threat to be dealt with.

“This was our first visit and with the help of our partner TEARS, we have started to make a difference to the lives of the hundreds of dogs who scavenge for a living there. Everywhere we looked, we saw injured and sick dogs; truthfully, we didn’t see a single healthy animal.

“We rescued a dog who had been run over by a car. We rescued dogs infested with ticks, dogs with mange and hungry, sick dogs. All iin just 20 minutes.

“It was pouring with rain that morning and the dogs were sodden lumps of misery. We hated to leave a single one behind, but we and TEARS have limited budgets, that’s why we earnestly implore you to donate generously to Network for Animals today, so we can extend our work in this terribly poor place, where the need is so great.

“To make things even worse for the animals, (if that is really possible) a devastating fire has swept through the area destroying many shacks. The local council is helping rebuild the dwellings, but we are the only hope for the dogs. All the dogs we rescued are now at the TEARS shelter, a place run by caring volunteers who provide them with food, medicines and love. Hopefully, all these dogs will be adopted and find forever loving homes.

“Network for Animals has been working in South Africa’s shanty towns for several years, doing all we can to help suffering creatures. Our team is tough, but we were shocked by what we saw in Hillview and we simply have to do more for the animals. We need your help. The poor dogs need your help. Please help us by donating generously today.

“For the Animals,

“Brian and Gloria Davies (and Max and Flora!), founders and CEOs

“P.S. The government says it will take many years to solve Hillview’s problems, but the dogs can’t wait – we must help them today! Please give generously if you possibly can.”

Perhaps in this year more than ever the preponderance of sporting mercenaries taking part in the World Athletics Championship was obvious for all to see. It was no longer only Western European nations with strong colonial histories which have “poached” Black athletes from African countries, but also practically all Western and Central European countries, Arab states from the Gulf, the United States and Canada – and even Japan! It cannot be argued that Negroes do not have a physiological advantage over Whites and Asians when it comes to basic physical abilities such as running, so therefore it is not a “level playing field” to allow Blacks and Whites to compete against each other. We have argued for decades of course that there should be separate sporting competitions for all the different racial groups – as was the case in South Africa up until the 1980s. As “political correctness” declines in influence so we hope that in the not too distant future there will be at least three separate World Athletic Championships for the basic differing racial groups, so that like can compete against like.

As it was, however, it was interesting to note that the “new” South Africa obtained precisely – eh – zero medals this year, thus showing that under the present ANC regime Black sporting success has now sunk to the low levels which White sporting success declined to several years ago. Perhaps the “new” South Africa should therefore start to think about entering a man in a woman’s event in order to obtain some form of success!

Most readers will hopefully remember the name of Lauren Southern, the Canadian Internet-journalist who has produced some highly praised YouTube videos highlighting the quasi-genocide campaign currently being enacted against the remaining White population still living in the “new” South Africa, and which we featured in the May and June 2018 and the April 2019 editions of the SCN. We’ve now been informed of a further excellent YouTube video featuring Lauren Southern in which she turns her attention to the threat posed to the whole of the European continent by unchecked mass immigration from the third world. This eye-opening YouTube video, entitled “Borderless”, can be viewed at :-

The annual “Last Night of the Proms” concert has for long been a rarity among BBC Arts broadcasts (indeed a rarity within Arts circles in general) as its ethos has traditionally been one of pure patriotism. The liberal “arty” establishment has of course for long hated the “Last Night of the Proms” because of its overt patriotism, and following some most praise-worthy displays of EuroScepticism in the “Last Night” audience during the early 1990s, orchestrated by activists from the Campaign for an Independent Britain and New Britain etc., the liberal-left hierarchy within the BBC Arts Department evidently decided to act, and from then onwards ensured that EU flags and those of its various component countries were equally visible on display. This situation continued for the next couple of decades, with a string of EU national flags being strung across the front of the audience being a notorious “red rag to the bull” as far as most patriotic music-lovers were concerned. With the Brexit triumph of 2016 and the extreme set-back which the egalitarian arts establishment thereby suffered, they then evidently looked for an even more objectionable form of sacrilege to enact at the “Last Night” in order to anger patriotic attendees and viewers – and sure enough this year they managed to do just this, for the openly “queer” [her own word] American soprano who they engaged to sing Rule Britannia finished her rendition by sickeningly producing a rainbow flag of the queer movement and then waved it around!

But this was not the end of this year’s “Last Night” manifestations. As reported above, the Springbok Club staged a trip to the “Salute to the Forties” festival at Chatham Dockyard last month, and at the close the days festivities the performers gave their own “Last Night of the Proms” rendition – a hearty singalong of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory by the assembled artists and audience alike! At this finale there was only one flag seen being waved – the Union Flag! No EU flags, and certainly no hideous queer flag! This of course was the true spirit of the British people asserting itself, and this is the spirit which in post-Brexit Britain will become more and more triumphant, no matter what the egalitarian arts establishment try to do to stop it!

No.251 - Ms. PETER McGOWAN-VAN HEERDEN of Kempton Park

Peter McGowan-van Heerden was a patriotic activist in South Africa during the 1970s, being a early member of the Save Rhodesia Campaign. He was well-known for his spidery hand-writing, which alas often meant that addresses could not be interpreted and his letters were therefore not delivered! As he had British as well as Afrikaner ancestry he became particularly interested in British patriotic politics, and during the early 1970s joined the British National Front (then still an authentic mainstream party). He also however became a good friend of Harold Soref (the Monday Club and very pro-South African Conservative MP) who he met and liaised with during his many trips to South Africa, and followed his advice by leaving the National Front (which by then had been taken over by a clique of neo-fascists) and joining the British Conservative Party instead. Although based in the Transvaal, Peter visited the Save Rhodesia Campaign office in Durban whilst holidaying in the city in 1978, but alas, in spite of clearly being a relatively young man, it became obvious that he was very unwell, and the speculation was that he was suffering from cancer. Sadly very little more was ever heard from Peter McGowan-van Heerden, and it was feared therefore that he must have died shortly thereafter. It would however be very interesting to learn what did actually happen to him, and whether any of his family still survive.

Just letting you know the latest edition of The Imperial Patriot has arrived and what (once again) an edition it is. Thank you for sending it to you. I have been following the situation with Tommy Robinson. It is clear the decision made against him had been planned behind doors, long before his trial. Who are the guilty ones?

As a matter of interest regarding Hong Kong, I had a young chap staying with me with his wife overnight, both Chinese and from Hong Kong. He told me that the older people of the city wish the British never left. I also asked him what do you think of the future of Hong Kong. He answered that he was not confident. An interesting comment and revealing. Wonderful SCN again

I’ve just read the very interesting article “Whatever happened to the three Addington trainee nurses” which appeared in the July Edition of your SCN.

I’ve done some checking, and can’t find any record of “Nutty” ever marrying Jenny – let alone divorcing her. I’ve also heard rumour that he once got into trouble for trying to import some hard-core pornography. If this is true then one wonders what his true motivation was in training to become a gynaecologist!

I was interested in the comments on Sir Geoffrey Howe (July SCN – Ed.), as well as Chris Patten! It was Sir Geoffrey Howe who first started "stabbing" Margaret Thatcher "in the back", in a speech in Parliament! As the Shadow Chancellor during the 1970’s, when replying to the 10 minutes slot budget speech of the Labour Chancellor, Dennis Healey, who lectured us by saying, "We need some more national pride", Sir Geoffrey Howe stated, apologetically, that "Of course, we need some more national pride"!

After Dennis Healey went to the IMF for a loan, I heard a very good "nationalistic" response from the so-called "Left wing" Labour Party Cabinet Minister, Tony Benn, at a private Labour Party meeting in Barton Hill in Bristol! "I don't like us having to crawl on our hands and knees to the IMF for a loan. We still have the capacity to defend ourselves"! He stated further, "That's a gut reaction"! I clapped and cheered him from the back! He had a "sheepish" look on his face when we saw each other later, like a "naughty boy" found out!

On a previous occasion, after another meeting, when I wasn't feeling cross with him, like a previous occasion when I gave him a "piece of my mind", I asked him: "How would you react if someone came to you and said that you are a misguided British nationalist who needs to be re-educated and liberated from this oppressive class consciousness"! He looked very upset and replied "We can talk about it next time"! Well, we didn't need to, did we?!!!

Yours etc.,

In an episode of the BBC4 series “Spotlight on the Troubles: A Secret History” broadcast on Tuesday 8th October, mention was made of the fact that various Ulster Loyalist paramilitary groups received weapons and ammunition from South African sources during the 1980s in order to defend their communities against Sinn Fein/IRA terrorism. Something which was not mentioned, however, was that the South African “sources” were of an official nature, and that in return Ulster Loyalists were able to supply the South African government of the day with valuable anti-terrorist equipment and knowhow obtained from sympathetic elements in the British security forces.

Such links between South African and Ulster patriots were not surprising of course, for not only were there strong ethnic and religious connections between the two communities, but also because the South African nation at the time faced similar terrorist threats from SF/IRA’s close allies and brother-terrorists, the ANC. As the programme pointed out, however, the arms supplied to the various Loyalist paramilitaries enabled them to defeat the SF/IRA terrorists militarily, and although Ulster’s struggle has still not been completely won, the province still remains an integral part of the United Kingdom as the clear majority of its citizens wish.

There were of course many Ulster Loyalists who visited and indeed emigrated to South Africa and Rhodesia during the 1970s and 1980s in order not only to assist with mutually beneficial liaison and co-operation, but also to fight voluntarily on the frontline in the struggle of their Southern African kith-and-kin for national freedom (and we do not include the rogue John Hiddleston in this category!). For obvious reasons we will not mention the names of any of these true patriots who are still alive, but one leading figure who we had the honour and privilege of knowing personally during his short stay in South Africa was Robin “The Jackal” Jackson, who sadly died in 1998 (see S.A.Patriot-in-Exile No.35). Robin Jackson was a true hero of the Ulster cause, who was not afraid to put his life on the line in order to safeguard his country and his people. His stay in South Africa, which also included a trip to South-West Africa, during the early 1980s was relatively short and it is not certain what his precise role was, but it is believed that he offered vital counter-terrorist expertise and personal advice to his Southern African counterparts.

We therefore salute the memory of the brave and dedicated Robin Jackson, and also to all those other courageous Ulstermen who made selfless sacrifices in order to show their solidarity with their Southern African kith-and-kin. It is just a tragedy that those South Africans who they sought to defend and support weren’t prepared to display the same degree of courage and resolve to resist the evils of international terrorism and thus to save their country.
