SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER
April 2015 edition
As we’ve often mentioned in the past, we’re aware that many readers are not too keen on us dwelling on non-Southern African related subjects in our editorials, but as the forthcoming British General Election is probably one of the most fluid and unpredictable ever, and as political developments in the UK undoubtedly have more effect upon Southern African affairs than those in any other Western country (with the possible exception of those in the United States), we feel therefore that we have no alternative other than to comment on this subject at length this month.
We believe that it is an accepted fact that David Cameron has been a disaster as British Prime Minister. He has been a disaster for his party, the Conservative Party, and he has been a disaster for the country as a whole - in spite of the undoubted economic successes which his government has achieved. To be sure it can be argued that this isn’t entirely his fault as he has governed in coalition with the centre-left Liberal Democrat Party, but the fact remains that several of the LibDem members of his government have proved to be more able and more patriotic than some of his Conservative chums who he has appointed to leading positions. Our main criticisms of Cameron have been: 1) The manner in which he has sucked-up to ethnic minorities and the homosexual lobby and has thereby tended to ignore the approximate 92% of the population who are White-British and heterosexual. This pandering to the alien and deviant minorities has had the inevitable result of increasing the twin evils of Islamic extremism and paedophilia throughout society. 2) The criminal cutting back of Defence expenditure, which means that Britain can no longer play a significant role in the War Against ISIS/ISIL Terrorism, and thereby threatens the security of Britain’s national borders. 3) No meaningful steps have been taken to free the UK from European Union entanglement and to establish a far more economically advantageous free trading arrangement with the Commonwealth. Happily Cameron isn’t representative of the Conservative Party as a whole – not at grassroots level, nor even in Parliament itself. Several current Conservative MPs have spoken at Swinton Circle meetings and we have been highly impressed with them all - and furthermore we are confident that a far more able and acceptable Conservative Party leader is already waiting in the wings.
In spite of the relative success and moderation of some LibDem members of the government, the fact remains that at core the Liberal Democrat Party remains, well, liberal. There is therefore no way that we can recommend support for LibDem candidates, except in a few rare constituencies in Scotland.
The Labour Party under the leadership of Ed Miliband has clearly reverted back to its socialist “red in tooth and claw” past of the Attlee, Wilson and Callaghan eras. All the hard work done by Tony Blair and his supporters to create “new” Labour, which we must admit was a partial success and defended Britain’s security in the international arena, have now seemingly been undone. In this regard it must also be remembered that Miliband’s father, Ralph Miliband, was an overt Marxist and clearly a subversive who aimed to destroy the country which had given him sanctuary. A vote for the Labour Party (again with the exception of some constituencies in central Scotland) under Miliband’s leadership is therefore unthinkable.
If we are to ignore the unrealistic fantasy idealists of the Green Party then this only leaves the “new kid on the block”, UKIP. We wish that we could give unqualified support to UKIP at the forthcoming General Election, but unfortunately we can’t. The UKIP leadership has openly stated that they do not support Western military action against the ISIS/ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq, which thereby places them even to the Left of Miliband’s Labour Party! Furthermore, the UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, was rumoured to have campaigned against London being awarded the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. To the best of our knowledge he has never issued a denial of this rumour, which we challenged him to make in the August 2012 edition of the SCN. If true this clearly displays a degree of unpatriotic sentiment which borders on the treasonable, and thereby means that he forfeits all claims for support. Again however, rather like is the case with the Conservative Party, we know that there is a far better and more acceptable calibre of people at grassroots level within UKIP than in their leadership.
Our advice to all our supporters who possess votes at the forthcoming British General Election is therefore – more than ever before – to vote for the candidate rather than to vote for the party. In Northern Ireland the most welcomed electoral agreement between the DUP and the UUP in seats where the SF/IRA scum are a threat of course makes the choice easy. (In seats where no such threat exists and where the two Unionist parties are still opposing one another then we would suggest that the DUP is probably the more worthy of support) In Scotland the most important aim must be to ensure that the splitist SNP gain as few seats as possible, This means that in all seats except in the south and the far north of Scotland (where the nationalists stand little chance of winning) all true patriots should vote for whichever Unionist party is the strongest opposition to the SNP. We know that voting Labour or LibDem will be very unpalatable for many, but the continuing unity of the British nation must come before any other considerations – and furthermore both the Labour Party and the Liberal Democratic Party in Scotland are a lot nearer to the political centre than their English counterparts.
That leaves England, Wales and the south of Scotland. Here we advise all voters to examine both their Conservative and UKIP candidates in full detail, and to vote not so much for which one is most likely to win, but which one possesses the purist and firmest patriotic ideals and principles of decency. If a significant number of truly patriotic UKIP candidates can be elected, and if they are then able to form a coalition with the Conservative Party and the DUP, then hopefully a new mutually acceptable leader will emerge, who will be able to provide Britain with its best government since the days of Salisbury and Balfour.
One thing is for certain however, and that is that the remaining days of the election campaign – and the result – are going to be very interesting!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
Although unfortunately no replacement Organiser of the Springbok Club has been elected/appointed, this present writer, the previous Organiser who resigned in January, has been requested – and indeed begged in some cases – to reconsider the position by many of the organisation’s members. All options are therefore open, and a final decision will probably be made before the end of April.
Be this as it may, the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club is planning a trip to the annual Rochester Sweeps’ Festival in early May, and the organization at national level is planning a trip to an art exhibition being staged by a supporter at Southend-on-Sea towards the end of May. Tentative plans to stage meetings to be addressed by interesting guest speakers in June, July and August have also been made. More precise details about these anticipated events will be circulated to all members and supporters, and included in future editions of the SCN, as soon as they’ve been finalized.

THE CRICKET WORLD CUP
Once again the “new” South African team failed to progress further than the semi-finals of this year’s Cricket World Cup. Many commentators have blamed this failure on the imposition of a “quota” system in order to ensure that a sufficient number of non-Whites were present in the side to satisfy the ANC regime, regardless of their talent and standard. As if to rub home this fact New Zealand’s winning runs in their semi-final against the “new” South Africa were scored by Grant Elliott, a White South African by birth who had decided to emigrate to New Zealand in order to improve his opportunities!
The tournament as a whole, which was held in both Australia and New Zealand, proved an outstanding success however, in spite of the fact that many criticized the length of the competition. This was because there were only two leagues in the group stage, each consisting of seven teams. The logical solution to this would surely be to increase the number of competing sides to sixteen and then to have four preliminary groups of four – as was the case at the 2007 World Cup held in the West Indies. Rather than return to this common-sense solution, however, the ICC are currently unbelievably proposing that the 2019 World Cup (to be held in the British Isles) will have the number of competing teams cut to ten instead of being increased! This barmy idea will of course prevent many Associate Nations from reaching the finals, which will not only harm the development of the game worldwide, but will also curtail spectator interest, as there will be no opportunities of viewing new teams with their ever-present ability to cause an upset. We therefore urge all readers to lobby the ICC and to advocate that the 2019 tournament reverts to a sixteen nation competition, with the same structure as in 2007.

“NETWORK FOR ANIMALS” CAMPAIGN AGAINST RHINO HORN SALES
We have recently been forwarded the following appeal from the Network for Animals charitable trust alerting people to the fact that the “new” South African government proposes to legalise the sale of rhino horns, and asking everyone to protest about this. Their message reads as follows :-
“The South African government is moving to legalise the selling of rhino horn, at a time when poaching is out of control and rhinos face extinction in the wild. Almost 15% of the rhinos in South Africa have been slaughtered since 2010, 1116 in 2014 alone. Often the poachers hack off the rhino horn while the animal is still alive, then leave the animal to die in agony. Legalising the trade in rhino horn will allow the South African government to sell 22 tons of rhino horn that it has in storage (roughly 25 000 dead rhinos) but that would not even dent demand in China and other Asian countries. Instead the illegal trade will boom because it will become easy for a criminal to pass off a poached rhino horn as legal. Today, please email the South African Environmental Affairs Minister, and urge South Africa to say no to rhino horn sales.”
The Network for Animals organization can be contacted via their web-site at : http://www.networkforanimals.org/

LATEST NEWS CONCERNING CLIVE DERBY-LEWIS
The latest reports about the condition of that great South African patriot Clive Derby-Lewis which we have received from his defiant wife Gaye read as follows:-
“PRESS STATEMENT ON THE REFUSAL OF MEDICAL PAROLE FOR CLIVE DERBY-LEWIS
“Clive Derby-Lewis simply shook his head as he listened to Justice Minister Masutha give his reasons for refusing him medical parole. Clive’s comment: par for the course.
“After the 1993 assassination of Chris Hani, Nelson Mandela stated that ‘in this case, we will not recognize indemnity for the murderer of Chris Hani’. This was followed by F.W.de Klerk who said ‘there will be no political amnesty for the persons who killed Chris Hani’. In December 1993, the ANC declared that it was determined ‘that whatever deal is struck about amnesty must not benefit Janus Walusz or Clive Derby-Lewis.’ In June 1994, Nelson Mandela again reiterated that ‘this case (the Derby-Lewis case) will be addressed in a different way’. Thereafter numerous ANC cadres from Robert McBride, Tokyo Sexwale, Geraldine Fraer-Moloketi, Matthews Phosa, Cheryl Carolus and none other than the then Justice Minister Dullah Omar expressed a similar opinion. Even the perennial Max du Preez said they shouldn’t be freed because it wouldn’t be ‘in the interests of reconciliation’. So the die was cast years ago with regard to Clive Derby-Lewis going free under the law. The politicians had decided.
“With regard to the Minister’s reasons for refusal:
1. There is nothing in the Act that says the granting of medical parole depends on remorse.
2. The Minister says Clive used a nom de plume on entering the hospital after he was stabbed in March 2014. There was a lot of media interest at the time which worried the Department of Correctional Services (DCS). In his judgment, the minister ‘bemoans Clive’s conduct’ with regard to the other name used. But it was DCS the Minister’s own department that insisted Clive use a nom de plume because of security reasons and the proximity of the press near the hospital. DCS was worried about the media getting into Clive’s ward so they CHAINED HIM TO HIS BED. The Minister clearly doesn’t know what happened in this regard. He should have checked WITH HIS OWN DEPARTMENT for the reasons for the different names.
3. The Minister also said he had not received the affidavits signed by both oncologists who treated Clive (Dr. van der Lingen and Dr. Fourie) to the effect that the nom de plume (du Plessis) belonged to Clive Derby-Lewis. These affidavits were handed to the Advisory Board’s Dr. N. Ndamase on 16 January 2015. She took them from the hospital and it is assumed she gave these affidavits to the Ministry or their representative. If the minister didn’t receive these affidavits, it’s not Clive’s fault. We are obtaining copies of these affidavits.
4. Dr. M. du Rand Clive’s physician said that the PET scan of Clive’s lung showed that the cancer had spread. Also, Dr.Fourie, the oncologist, declared that Clive’s cancer is already “inoperable”. The Minister declared that Clive could not be released until these two conditions were present but they are already present!
“We will be taking the Minister’s decision on urgent legal review.”
and
“PRESS RELEASE RE SUPPOSED “FRAUD” BY CLIVE DERBY-LEWIS
“We have noted Minister of Correctional Services (DCS) minister Masutha’s latest remarks in the press and on television that there is the possibility’ of Clive Derby-Lewis committing fraud and ‘if any fraud is found, Derby-Lewis will be charged’, declared the minister.
“Any old red herring will do to deflect from the fact that Clive Derby-Lewis has terminal cancer, that his lung condition is ‘inoperable’ and that his cancer has spread to his adrenal gland. He should have been granted medical parole, and if there is any fraud in existence, perhaps some people should look in the mirror.
“The three reasons given by the Minister for not granting medical parole are spurious.
“Firstly, remorse is not a criteria for the granting of medical parole. But for the record, and for the Minister’s edification, Clive expressed remorse publicly during the TRC hearings at the end of the nineties, and this is on public record. Clive asked to speak to Mrs. Hani on more than one occasion and Adv. George Bizos, acting for the Hani family, refused.
“Secondly, as far as the so-called fraud is concerned, when Clive entered hospital in 2010 with a gangrenous leg, he was admitted by the Department of Correctional Services under an assumed name! This DCS declared was for security reasons. The name chosen by DCS was either Gerhard or Philippe du Plessis, we can’t remember which.
“When Clive was stabbed in March 2013,he was again admitted to hospital and again the assumed name was used under instructions from DCS as journalists were trying to find him by walking around the wards. So this ‘fraud’ that Clive is supposed to have committed is untrue, and if this current minister had taken the trouble to check with his own department, he would have discovered why the nom de plume was used. He must be very careful what he says – we have sent his remarks to our legal team for further discussion. Calling Clive a fraud is bad, and coming from a minister makes it even worse. We will see what our attorneys say.
“In addition, seventeen doctors who are members of the Medical Parole Advisory Board recommended parole for Clive. They take into account everything about his medical history and condition, not only his lung cancer. He has other ailments. The minister is not a doctor, yet he has overruled his own Advisory Board, clearly for political reasons. These seventeen doctors know the parole legislation perhaps better than the minister and they wouldn’t recommend parole outside these regulations. A P.E.T. scan was ordered by DCS and was carried out by DCS doctors,. two of whom were oncology and lung specialists. The PET scan showed the cancer had spread to the adrenal gland.
“It is interesting that none of these doctors questioned the hospital records (some of which were in the name of du Plessis). They were happy with the affidavits signed by the various hospital specialists!
“The minister says there are no supporting affidavits relating to this identity question. He said he only received Clive’s affidavit in this regard. Yet I sat in the hospital room with Clive, DCS warders and Dr. N. Ndamase of the DCS Area Commissioner’s Office on 16 January 2015 when she collected the affidavits from the two specialists re the identity question, and purportedly took these affidavits to the Minister’s office via the Area Commissioner’s office. WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE TWO AFFIDAVITS which the non-appearance of which the minister is using as an excuse not to grant medical parole?
“It is also significant that Clive applied for normal parole in November 2013 at the same time as Eugene de Kock. De Kock is out and Clive has heard nothing. The application is probably in File 13!”

BRITAIN’S RACIST ELECTION
Last month Channel 4 Television broadcast a programme entitled “Britain’s Racist Election” which focused upon the campaign in the Smethwick Constituency during the 1964 General Election, when the Conservative Party candidate in this traditional Labour seat, Peter Griffiths (see obituary in the December 2013 edition of the SCN), won a surprise victory by campaigning mainly on an anti-immigration platform.
This was indeed a significant event in post-WWII British electoral history, but unfortunately the momentum was not maintained, and since then it has been “swept under the carpet” by the left-leaning media. It was however a most encouraging incident which confirmed the basic underlying patriotic instincts of the British people – and also demonstrated to the Conservative Party how they could win future General Elections easily if they were to adopt similar anti-immigration policies.
Channel 4 is therefore to be congratulated upon showing such a morale-boosting documentary reminding the British people of this exhilarating victory of the past – and hopefully thereby inspiring them to re-capture the spirit, energy and triumph of Smethwick 1964!

SCN BLOGSPOT
We are happy to be able to announce that we have now at last completed the task of transferring all back issues of the Springbok Cyber Newsletter to our blogspot. All past editions can now be viewed by supporters at any time by accessing :-
http://springbokcybernewsletter.blogspot.co.uk/
We say that all past editions are now available, but strictly speaking this isn’t true, for unfortunately a virus attack which we experienced in 2005 meant that the July, August and September editions of that year were corrupted. If any reader still possesses copies of all or any of these three missing issues and could forward us copies then we would be most grateful.

"P.K. VAN DER BYL - AFRICAN STATESMAN" by Hannes Wessels
ISBN: 978-1-920143-49-7 / paperback / illustrated
Retail price: R250.00, Web-site price: R200.00 + postage
The narrative gives the reader an overview of the history of the White man in southern Africa with detailed emphasis on the Rhodesian story through the life and times of PK van der Byl, one of the major players in a political drama that ended in the accession to power of Robert Mugabe under the auspices of the British government. By his very nature PK was controversial and confrontational. This account is likely to give offence to some because it portrays him as bluntly as he was in real life. Much can be contested about PK van der Byl but few will dispute he was an extremely colourful character with a devilish sense of humour. This memoir covers his life with a full flourish while doing nothing to detract from the seriousness of the international political and military conflict in which he was engaged. The reader will glean new information on a highly controversial subject and emerge with a more sympathetic understanding of what PK van der Byl and his colleagues did and strove for. The human tragedy that has followed the removal from power of Ian Smith and his Rhodesian Front party will almost certainly force the reader to deal with some uncomfortable conclusions, of value to anyone sincere about grappling with the volatile and deeply troubling challenges that confront all Africans today.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?
No.197 – Dr. TONY WELCH of Durban.
Tony Welch was a very popular and highly skilled dentist who practiced on the Bluff in Durban during the 1970s and 80s. He lived life to the full, and was a prominent member of the “Paul Roper set” (see April 2001 SCN). A superb Lawn Tennis player, he seemed to be the perpetual runner-up to Paul Roper in the famed Blair Atholl Grant Lawn Tennis tournaments staged at Westville. A Man of Kent by birth, he was educated at Kent College, Canterbury, where he was evidently one year behind John Redwood. He was surprisingly spotted at a Cricket match in Canterbury during the late 1990s when he was in the UK after taking up a locum appointment at Maidenhead, and spoke then about relocating to Australia because of the collapsing conditions in South Africa. We do not know whether he did eventually move to Australia however, but would be very keen to find out.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
SMETHWICK SPIRIT
Sir,
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and card from the members and supporters of the Swinton Circle and the Springbok Club, in fond memory of my father Frank, who died suddenly and unexpectedly aged 90.
Throughout the years Frank remained a strong avid supporter in our stirling efforts to bring attention to the world of the on-going injustices against the White population in southern Africa.
He held fond memories of his first introduction to the Springbok Club, and particularly attending the talk given by historian, Andrew Roberts. We also had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the former Rhodesian Premier Ian Smith on his autobiography book tour in London some years ago.
Only distance kept us away from attending more recent functions, but none the less my father kept up to date with each and every new development as a true British patriot. He had proudly served during WWII in the Coldstream Guards, and certainly earned the regiment's motto Nulli Secundus (second to none).
I only hope I can now carry his torch, as he would be so proud to hear of the future successes of the Swinton Circle and the Springbok Club.
Look forward to seeing everyone again very soon,
Yours etc.,
Karl Brookes, Staffordshire, U.K.

MINORITY WRONGS
Sir,
Ritual slaughter without pre-stunning is indeed cruel and should be banned - not tolerated. It will not be because there are a large number of Muslims with votes and politicians without principles. More ritual slaughter, female genital mutilation, forced marriages, even "honour killings" - are these among the benefits of immigration, multi-culturalism and diversity? When I read an article by actress Shirley Maclaine on FGM in Africa in the early 1970s I really did not expect to be reading about it in Britain four decades later. Am I suggesting that we take it on ourselves to judge other people's cultures? Actually - yes.
Yours etc.,
Mark Taylor, London, U.K.

WE’RE NOT AFRAID TO FIGHT AGAIN ……
Sir,
Thank you for your email re the rugby - I'd love to have been able to come but unfortunately I don't get far these days due to the family - nice problem to have of course.
Which brings me to the lovely card I received - I haven't had time to thank you yet, so apologies for that, but what a kind and thoughtful gesture. My wife and I were both flattered and touched and would be very grateful if you would please pass on our thanks to all signatories.
One can only wonder what kind of world the three will face due to p.c. Marxist rats traitors like Cameron, but I'll do my bit to keep the truth alive. My John Edmonds troopie songs will be passed on!
Yours etc.,

ROGUES GALLERY
Long-standing readers will undoubtedly remember the name of Arthur Kemp, the traitor who claimed to support our movement whilst we were still based in South Africa during the 1980s, but who was subsequently revealed as being an “asset” of the South African government (and who furthermore turned States Evidence in the trial of Clive Derby-Lewis!). Once exposed as the “double-agent” which he was in South Africa he mysteriously turned up in the UK, where he soon became prominent in the equally phoney “British” National Party (BNP). Ever since we helped to expose him as the back-stabbing scumbag which he was we became subject to a continuous smear campaign on various Internet forums and other outlets, which we knew from the style of writing were almost certainly written by Mr. Kemp - but happily these irritating smears seemed to cease several months ago. We therefore decided to check Kemp’s blogspot recently, only to discover that although it was previously updated on an almost daily basis (mainly with esoteric articles about ancient Egypt and “plugs” for the silly books which he had written) it hadn’t contained any further entry since 16th July 2014. What has happened to the odious Mr. Kemp we therefore wonder? We would be very interested to learn if anyone knows!
----------------------------
Another rogue who has caused us considerable problems over the years has been Mr. Allan Robertson, who as long-standing readers will again probably recall had to be expelled from the Swinton Circle after he staged an unsuccessful coup attempt to take control of the organisation in 2008. We have recently been disturbed to learn that Mr. Robertson is still living in denial however, and is trying to pass himself off as “The London Swinton Circle” with the help of a few neo-fascist friends, and thereby causing great potential embarrassment to the genuine Swinton Circle. He has also evidently been publishing what he terms an “Online Magazine”, which includes items of an extremist nature written under the name of “Arthur St.Hugh” (presumably named after the medieval anti-Semitic icon). Who is this “Arthur St.Hugh” we therefore wonder? Is it a pseudonym for Robertson himself, or could it possibly be Arthur Kemp? Again any information would be eagerly received.
