Ever since the Belarusian elections of 9th August, indeed for several weeks before that, the Belarusian nation – and more particularly it’s President Alexander Lukashenko – have been subjected to an almost unparalleled campaign of odium from the international liberal media. Given the fact that Belarus was previously regarded as having the most Stalinist regime surviving in Europe this was particularly strange, as also has been the fact that although Lukashenko’s authoritarianism doesn’t seem to have changed one iota since he came to power 26 years ago, this international Leftist condemnation has only just surfaced.
The reason for this seems to be obvious. With the semi-exceptions of Sweden and New Zealand, Belarus is the only Western country which hasn’t been prepared to kow-tow to the dictates of the international busy-body medicrats in regard to the global Covid-1984 hysteria. People are not forced to wear ridiculous face-masks in Belarus, they still enjoy freedom of association without having to “distance” from their fellow human beings, children have not been denied a continuous education, and all sporting fixtures have carried on as normal (and furthermore without any obscene acts of subservience towards Marxist rioters and insurrectionists before matches!).
There is much of course that we don’t like about Lukashenko’s administration – the apparent authoritarian nature of his regime, the evident suppression of many individual liberties, and, if true, the rigging of elections. Furthermore we would far prefer the white, red and white horizontal tricolour flag of Belarus to be re-adopted in place of the unattractive Soviet-era design. Serious though these misgivings are, however, the wider freedoms which Alexander Lukashenko has given to the Belarusian people by not forcing them to comply with the de-humanising regulations now so sinisterly being enforced is so many other places around the Western world seems far more important. We therefore wish Alexander Lukashenko every success in withstanding the international onslaught against his administration – and furthermore we hope that he might also be able to forge closer links with Putin’s Russia in order for that nation also to break free from the draconian Covid-1984 restrictions.
But there is another more important world leader who the forces of darkness are also determined to topple – namely President Donald J. Trump of the United States. Donald Trump’s tenure in office may not have been ideal so far, but he has even so provided great hope that decency and civilised values can still prevail in this troubled world. The only conceivable alternative to him, the demonic triumvirate of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi, are however too ghastly even to contemplate, and so Donald Trump’s re-election is therefore essential for the very survival of our Western Civilisation and the future of our children.
At the time of writing Donald Trump seems to be behind in the opinion polls, but he proved in 2016 that he is a determined and effective fighter who has the ability to win when “received wisdom” says the opposite. We know that all (or certainly the vast majority) of our readers from the United States will be voting for Donald Trump in November in any case, but the tragedy of South Africa during the 1980s shows that simply voting for what is right and decent isn’t sufficient. What is required is active campaigning to persuade as many other people as possible to do likewise. We therefore implore all our US readers to strain every sinew in their bodies to ensure that Donald Trump is re-elected in November.

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
The Springbok Club successfully resumed activities last month following all the “lockdown” lunacy, by staging a visit to the Royal Naval War Memorial in Chatham. The main purpose of this visit was to pay respects to the memory of Sub.Lieut. Charles van der Byl, a South African submariner who was killed in 1916 whilst serving on the submarine HMS G1, and who is commemorated on the memorial. Mr.Gary Vincent, who had undertaken a tremendous amount of research into the history and structure of the memorial, gave a fascinating cameo talk on the subject, and respects were then also paid to Engine Room Artificer Arthur Grant, the grandfather of the current Chairman of the Springbok Club, who once served on the same ship that Sub.Lieut.van der Byl later served on, HMS Goliath, before being transferred to HMS Derwent which struck a mine and sank in 1917, and who is also commemorated on the memorial. Afterwards the Springbok Club party viewed several near-by sites of interest, including the inspiringly-named Imperial Road and the house where Engine Room Artificer Arthur Grant had once lived, The Springbok Club party then adjourning to a hostelry in Chatham where a highly informative PowerPoint presentation was given by Gary Vincent about the Naval career of Sub.Lieut.Charles van der Byl, and the history of the famous Cape family from which he came, which included the Hon. Pieter K. van der Byl, .the erstwhile Rhodesian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Later this month the Springbok Club will be honouring its promise to the late Peter Sladden by maintaining the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony to mark the anniversary of the foundation of Rhodesia in 1890. Because of all the unfortunate continuing “lockdown” restrictions this will alas only be a symbolic act of commemoration this year, but will confirm to everyone our determination to maintain this important and inspiring event, and will be held this year at Hythe on the south Kent coast. The Springbok Club is also still planning to stage a meeting to be addressed by Mr. James Lockwood about the Loyal Orders, and this will now hopefully be held in October.

WORRYING NEWS FROM FAUNA & FLORA INTERNATIONAL
We’ve recently received the following most disturbing message from the Fauna & Flora International organisation. It reads as follows :
“You’ve probably seen it. A huge chunk of East Africa is choking in clouds of locusts. The human cost is going to be horrendous. Crops that people can’t afford to lose will be destroyed - and for eastern Black Rhinos, if the swarm gets much worse, it could be a hammer blow for their already battered population.
“If these locusts hit their grazing grounds - something that’s not really in our power to prevent - it could spell catastrophe. Whether through starvation, or conflict over access to pasture for livestock and wildlife, the long and short of it is that rhinos are likely to die.
“In the context of their dreadful recent history, it's patently clear that the Rhino population can’t afford to sustain any extra losses. Over disturbingly few decades, the vast majority have been shredded by poaching and there are fewer than 850 left on the planet.
“Overwhelming and unpreventable threats to Rhinos such as this locust plague are only going to increase in future, so if we keep losing them to pointless - and preventable - poaching, their kind is not going to come out the other side alive.
“It’s 2020 - the medical age of robotic surgery, wireless brain sensors and 3D-printed bones. This mindless poaching for mythical medicines made from their horns should have ended by now.
“So that’s what we’re aiming to do.
“Through your donations, we're training and equipping rangers to protect Rhino populations across East Africa. Not only that, but we're bringing local people on board to tackle the causes of poaching at grass-roots level.
“That way, we can save these mighty two-horned tanks, and make sure that they grace our natural world for generations to come.”

NEW ORDER FOR SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE RUGBY
The international chaos caused by the Covid-19 panic has meant that both major southern hemisphere Rugby Union competitions have been severely disrupted this year. The Rugby Championship (which involves national teams from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina) was completely abandoned in its original format, although plans are afoot to stage a replacement competition during November and December with all matches to be played in Australia – though significantly it seems that South Africa is highly unlikely to compete in this.
The Super Rugby competition (which involves regional sides from five participating countries: (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina and Japan) was terminated after only a few opening rounds were played - but even before this the tournament had been beset by big problems, with the Japanese team, “The SunWolves”, disbanding and rumours abounding that the competition was to be re-structured to involve only Australian and New Zealand teams. Both the Australian and New Zealand Rugby Union authorities then went ahead and staged their own very successful competitions, with the idea being mooted that their respective winners should play for a resurrected Super Rugby title. The South African authorities organised no replacement tournament however.
It would seem therefore that the Covid-19 panic has only hastened a new Rugby Union order in the southern hemisphere which was going to come into being in any case, for several suggestions for a replacement format for Super Rugby from 2021 onwards had already been tabled. Some of these suggestions involve teams from Australia and New Zealand only, whereas others also include teams from the South Pacific island nations. In none of these proposed formats do teams from South Africa feature however. This isn’t really surprising of course, given the ongoing dangers to both players and supporters who visit the lawless and disintegrating “new” South Africa. It would seem therefore that South Africa’s surprising victory in the 2019 Rugby Union World Cup was probably the “last hoorah” for Rugby in South Africa – until some form of civilised order can be restored to that beleaguered land.

EXPOSING THE ENEMY WITHIN
In this brilliantly analysed article by Ralph Harrison (a long-standing anti-EU activist who played a central role in the pro-Brexit campaign in East Mercia) he not only expertly exposes the evils behind the Marxist subversive “Black Lives Matter” campaign, but also delivers a devastating denouncement of all those who kow-tow to it. It is a “Call to Arms” for all patriots, so definitely warrants far wider distribution. We therefore call on all our readers to re-circulate it as much as they possibly can :-
After the 2016 EU Referendum we saw how well organised and how activist, the anti-Brexit movement was. Their demonstrations were more frequent and often bigger than those organised by the patriots. I remember arriving at Westminster tube station one day to take part in a Leave demonstration, and noticing that every single exit barrier at the station had a professionally produced "Better Off In" sticker affixed to it. That degree of advertising needs plenty of money to back it up, money that our own side often lacked. Yet, in the end, it was the ordinary voters of this country who won, and not the agitprop demonstrators and their well-financed backers. Ultimately, the question of Brexit was settled through democratic votes: in the 2016 EU Referendum, in the May 2019 Euro-election, and in a succession of general elections, culminating in the Johnson government coming to power on a pledge of "Get Brexit Done". So, for this reason, I am not frightened by the hideous spectacle of the “Black Lives Matter” protests that we have recently been witnessing in this country, because I know that ultimately they will fail in their anti-patriotic and pro-Marxist objectives. After all, it is the very same people organising these protests as organised the anti-Brexit marches - and, for all their huffing and puffing, the anti-patriots lost over Brexit, and they lost big-time!
Nevertheless, BLM's outpouring of hatred directed against White society, White authority figures, and White policemen is appallingly racist. For anti-White racism is racism, pure and simple. Nevertheless, we have witnessed disgusting acts of cowardice by some in authority, and by certain members of the police force, kneeling - like slaves - in submission to the baying mobs of Black and red Fascists. The desecration of the cenotaph and Churchill's statue so soon after the VE day commemoration - and some of it on the D-Day anniversary itself - was a calculated insult to the war dead and to our ancestors. It was obviously designed to inflame racial hatred and community tensions further, and to express a repudiation of allegiance to our nation.
What is BLM's big idea? What is their philosophy, if we can dignify it with that word? Let me sum it up for you. Basically, they are saying that the police, when they see a Black person, prejudge the situation and assume that the Black is a potential criminal. If that Black person, for whatever reason, starts acting in an aggravated or agitated way, the police, they say, over-react because they have fixed assumptions about Black crime, and so tend to act heavy-handedly in dealing with the Black population - and this, then, leads to cases such as that of George Floyd, where an unarmed Black man was killed by a White policeman, who over-reacted in carrying out an arrest. O.K., I've got it! So the Blacks are aggrieved because there is a perception among the police - and among the public - that Blacks are innately more violent and criminally inclined, and this is the root cause of the difficulties they face in their dealings with the police.
So what is BLM's response to this? They organise a month-long campaign of violence and criminality, which included shootings, arson, looting, criminal damage, and more violence towards the police. That of course can only possibly reinforce the perception of Black violence and criminality, which they say is at the root of their problems. How very stupid! Just how very, very stupid can you get? But of course, the Black protesters are acting stupidly in these protests, because the perception of Black criminality has now been consolidated by their very own protests. But their clever, White organisers, using the Blacks as revolution fodder, are laughing. Their aim has always been to exacerbate racial divisions within society so as to bring on the revolution. They do not care about the lives of ordinary people, Black or White. They would gladly sacrifice anyone - as a matter of principle - to advance the cause of the revolution, a revolution which was laid out so clearly many years ago in Karl Marx's "Communist Manifesto".
The Communists are very clever up to a point. Edward Colston was a good target, from their point of view - and the toppling of his statue in Bristol was an excellent propaganda coup. Of course, there might be a perfectly good argument for saying that the statue of Edward Colston should have been removed from public display. But the right course of action for those that think that way would have been to lobby their local council and use the democratic process to get their wishes implemented. Actually, the statue is a fine piece of art (if you have seen it) and deserves a place in a museum. I have no particular drum to beat for Colston in particular. But what we have seen is simply mob rule, the police withdrawing for fear of upsetting the leftists and for fear of being called "racist", and even Conservative politicians justifying this act of anarchy. I want to live in a society where the law protects the individual law-abiding citizen, not one where it kow-tows to a mob of thugs, which is what we have now.
However, revolutions need continuous momentum. It could never stop at Colston, could it? The BLM movement, emboldened by success in getting away with destruction of property, assault, and breach of the lockdown laws, will aim for more targets. Whichever of our nation's heroes they choose to denounce they will try to topple. Have you noticed that the figures that they have condemned with particular hatred are those great British leaders who defended our nation from potential invasion and thus kept us British free from becoming slaves ourselves? The statues of Sir Francis Drake, who helped defeat the mighty Spanish Armada of king Philip, and thus preserved England from the terrors of the Inquisition and its Auto-da-Fes; of Lord Nelson, the great British naval hero of the Napoleonic Wars, who humiliated Bonaparte and frustrated his aim of creating a pan-European empire, in which the national independence of its peoples would be snuffed out for ever; and, of course, Sir Winston Churchill, who defeated the mastermind of the Nazi holocaust, and whom BLM - inanely - had the audacity to insult with the pathetic graffiti "is a racist"? No, BLM, you're the racists!
No doubt it is for the same reason that these people oppose patriotic songs. The BBC, The Guardian, and BLM have denounced that well-known song whose refrain goes, "Britons never, never, never will be slaves!" - and anti-slavery song if ever there was one - because they think it supports slavery. They haven't just lost the plot; they have, it seems, lost the use of their reason. A song written in praise of the Royal Navy which in historic times spent so much of its resources in suppressing the slave trade, some of it conducted by Black Africans and Arabs, could only be condemned as pro-slavery by a half-wit - or a liar. The same people were agitating to remove a statue by the founder of the Scouts movement, Lord Baden-Powell, until it was pointed out that Baden-Powell played an important part in the Ashanti Wars which were aimed at suppressing slavery in a part of Africa, corresponding to the north of modern-day Ghana, where Blacks slaves were being used as human sacrifices - carried out by other Blacks, of course. But I am sure BLM will not let historical facts get in the way of a good agitprop.
It is clear, that BLM are not just misguided. They are traitors, and they are anti-democratic proponents of Communist tyranny, and their hatred for those who defended Britain's freedom knows no bounds. There are only two reasons why anyone should attack Churchill's statue. Either they could be an admirer of Adolf Hitler; or they could just hate Britain and its people. BLM, you are convicted of racist hatred of the British people! - and you should be exposed for it! We patriots must resolve to defend our nation's heroes with our lives, if need be. If we allow the traitors to topple their statues, if we allow them to remove the memorials to those who died in the fight for our independence and freedom - as Carmarthen Council are currently considering with the possible removal of Sir Thomas Picton's obelisk - then our nation's independence and freedom will be imperiled. We have seen how the politicians, like frightened children bullied in the playground, kow-tow to the demands of the mob; we have seen how even the police have knelt in submission to the law-breakers and Communists. We have no police force now, we have no democratic leaders. We only have ourselves now! e, the patriots, must take this matter in hand. We shall smite the traitors, as we did in the battle for national independence from the European Union - and we shall defend our nation's honour now too, just as the exemplary heroes did in days of yore!

No.262 - Mr. A.MARSHALL of Catford.
Mr. A. Marshall (we are uncertain of his christian name, but one of our supporters believes that it is Alan) was an early subscriber to S.A.Patriot when the magazine was still based in South Africa. He was particularly impressed by the series of articles by John Jewell (see November 2014 SCN) which were published in the magazine, and indeed produced a compilation of these articles which he had printed and circulated. Alas contact was lost with him around the time that we were forced to re-locate to the UK, but in the early years of the Internet age contact with him was happily re-established. Although we never seemed to make direct contact with him, one official of the Springbok Club reported that he had turned up at one of the organisation’s meetings, though sadly without introducing himself to anyone. Earlier this year, however, copies of the SCN which were sent to him started to be returned as his e-mail address was evidently no longer recognised, and when a letter was subsequently sent to him in this regard this was also returned as he was evidently no longer known at his former Catford address. If anyone could inform us of either his current e-mail or postal addresses then we would of course be most grateful.

The fed’s said it was not compulsory; However, if you did not, you would not be able to apply and do selected jobs. Now we have found it has been a total failure. There is not ONE instance where it has worked. $70 million down the drain. The only one to benefit from it is the Singapore company which manufactured it.

BETTER DAYS BECKON

At 87 I am in desperation that the grim reaper will gather his harvests of like-minded countrymen who feel as I do that the country we knew, loved, and above all respected has possibly passed. I am overcome with shame observing MP’s, the Police, sports and other national personalities embarrassingly subjugating themselves in the race to “bend the knee”. Is this what my father walked up the beaches of Normandy for?
Add to the above the combined Corona-Virus epidemic with the rise of the Marxist “BLM” (backed by Soros the international financier) has exposed all of our political inabilities to deal with these totally foreseeable weaknesses, highlighting the urgent need for political and financial change.
Here we are, heading towards an excess of £2/3 trillion national debt, yet, on the brink of bankruptcy (and possible civil unrest) and still giving away Billions of Pounds of tax payers money (£15b in foreign aid, £1m a day to the defunct EU) all promoted by naïve liberalised misguided philanthropic career-mined MPs. Surely, the first lesson we should learn is the necessity that we have to return to becoming producers, not consumers.
Sadly, the answer to our financial woes is so simple if only we had a government with the daring to undertake the following?
Stop contributing to world organisations that give no benefit to the UK. Insist all newcomers to the UK have guaranteed employment and paid up UK medical and legal insurance. All offspring must be educated privately (each child costs £15k to educated by the state)
All companies operating in the UK with overseas call centres to UK located (by taxation or other means) creating local spending, the quickest way to regenerate home grown economies. All major construction contracts, i.e. power plants, communications, steel to be awarded to UK companies but ensuring competitive at all times.
To encourage immediate investment, reduce corporation tax to 14%; it’s not the amount tax is set at, but the amount it generates.
All national utilities, i.e. Post, Police, gas/power, BT companies etc to use vehicles only produced in the UK - just following French and German polices. Railways on a John Lewis basis of all employees being partners coupled with a “no strike” agreement - already proved on the North Eastern Line.
Most importantly the Green Parties energy wasting policies must be exposed, Turbines, the financial and energy costs are never fully recovered. Importing wooden pellets all the way from Canada, gas from fracking from Russia that can be turned off at any time. Energy from UK fracking would transform our economy in just a short five years benefitting us all but stopped on spurious reasons from the Green Party of earthquakes based on 2.5 scale rather than the world accepted official Richter Scale of 4.5. They are however happy to import fracking energy conveniently the energy used in transporting here.
Think on this, unless we immediately take ruthless financial and political steps, we will be condemning our grandchildren to penury and probably subservience to the ethnics from those very nations we are being so generous to now.
I appreciate the above is small business economics, but banking and government is far to important to be left to bankers and politicians. Its time for back-to-basics, local government and fair taxation!

THE “WHITE RHINO CLUB” (Mk 1) – WHAT WENT WRONG?
We are still occasionally asked whatever happened to the original White Rhino Club, the Durban-based patriotic activist organisation. The saga of its brief history is alas very sad, and in a way quite disturbing, but although this was briefly covered in S.A.Patriot No.27 .it is thought that now is probably a good time to explain what went wrong in greater detail.
The White Rhino Club was founded by a merger between the Voters’ Policy Association (VPA) and the Sherwood Action Committee (SAC). The VPA had been formed earlier by a merger between a number of conservative Durban groupings and branches of national patriotic organisations. The leading official in the VPA had been Patrick Kenney (see November 1998 SCN) who had earlier published a series of pamphlets entitled Attack/Aanval! which had galvanised opposition to various racial-integration proposals in the city. The SAC had however been a single-issue organisation, fighting against the proposed re-proclamation of the White Durban suburb of Sherwood as an Indian Group Area – a struggle in which they achieved total victory! Most, if not all, involved were also members or supporters of Ivor Benson’s National Forum (see August 2014 SCN), but were looking for a movement more active than the mere “talk-shop” which this organisation tended to be.
The newly merged organisation held a foundation gathering on 8th January 1980, which was attended by 13 people, all of whom were then co-opted onto the committee. The number of 13 may well have been an unlucky omen for the new grouping however, for almost immediately it was beset by set-backs. Patrick Kenney was not able to take any active role as expected as he had been victimised at work because of his patriotic activism, and wanted to establish himself in a new job before resuming active participation. Other leading members of the VPA alas also declined to become involved for various reasons, but the biggest disaster occurred shortly before the second committee meeting was due to take place when Bill Griffiths – who had been chairman of the SAC and had been appointed to a similar role in the merged organisation - unexpectedly died. In his honour the new body was named after his suggestion, the White Rhino Club (WRC), even though several members thought this title rather cranky.
In his place Bryan Hurt was then appointed chairman. Bryan Hurt was a talented artisan and a successful businessman who ran his own roofing company, but alas he had no academic skills and would admit himself that he was not a natural chairman. His wife Lynn Hurt (aka Lynn Howe), who ran her own ladder-hiring business, acted as the WRC’s secretary, but the real power in the organisation lay with Michiel Falck, an organisational and administrative genius, who was both the de facto chairman and organiser, as well as fulfilling practically every other role which was needed!
By the time of the next committee meeting two most encouraging developments for the WRC had occurred. Firstly Ian Long, who ran his own highly successful printing company, Lithotone, produced a superb array of professionally printed material for the WRC – recruitment forms, membership cards, constitutions and policy documents etc.. This material was subsequently widely circulated to like-minded patriotic movements around the Western World, thus creating the global impression that the WRC was actually a far larger and better-established organisation than it actually was. The second important development was that it was agreed to found a WRC magazine, which eventually came to fruition in the form of S.A.Patriot, which of course metamorphosised into S.A.Patriot-in-Exile and then into today’s The Imperial Patriot. The WRC had one big problem with the launch of this new magazine however – there was no obvious candidate for editor: Michiel Falck couldn’t become editor because he held a prominent position at the University of Durban-Westville, Bryan Hurt didn’t have the ability, this present writer was still slating for his South African citizenship, and Ian Long and others couldn’t because of business and/or employment commitments. In the end a young newly-arrived Ulster immigrant by the name of John Hiddleston was offered and accepted the post, though this alas proved to be a disaster – but this is another story!
Problems for the WRC then started to escalate. At the following committee meeting the National Forum member Louis Onody – a Hungarian refugee whose family had fled the Communist regime – turned up and astonishingly announced that he was resigning from the organisation. He gave no specific reason for this, though Lynn Hurt told everyone afterwards that she thought that this was because Onody, being a devout Roman Catholic, had been instructed by his priest to leave “that horrible right-wing organisation”! This was then followed by this present writer being confronted by Ken Lawson, a personal friend of the Hurts who hadn’t previously been involved with any of the component organisations, and bizarrely accused of trying to seduce his girl-friend! There was of course no truth in this deranged accusation whatsoever, but it seemed to be “par for the course” for Lawson, as he had previously exhibited irrational antipathies towards other members, and was constantly negative and defeatist in all his contributions to discussions! (Incidentally, as Lawson’s girl-friend was of German origin though with a dusky-skinned appearance which suggested that she actually had far more exotic ancestry, she most certainly was not the type of woman that I would ever have wished to seduce!).
Almost immediately after the first edition of S.A.Patriot was published, however, a most unexpected and indeed worrying incident occurred, for Hiddleston was contacted by the SAP Special Branch and told that he had to submit copies of the magazine to them immediately upon publication in future. As the first issue had only just been produced, and was distributed only at a committee meeting of the WRC, it was therefore obvious that the authorities had managed to place a “spy” within the organisation. There was much speculation about who this might have been – it couldn’t have been Onody as he had left the organisation before the first issue of the magazine had appeared, so suspicion then fell squarely upon Lawson. A few months later, however, after the WRC (mk 1) had collapsed, Ian Long was informed by a conservative sympathiser whose authenticity he vouched for from inside one of the security services (an avowedly anti-Communist Serb who had fled from Tito’s Yugoslavia) that the infiltrator was actually a certain Alan Richards. The previously unknown Richards had only become involved with the WRC because he had recently married the much previously-married Pam Sweet, the daughter of Reg Sweet (see April 2009 and August 2011 SCNs). Richards predictably denied the accusation and apparently threatened to sue the security services officer in question, though nothing of course ever came of this threat. Richards then disappeared completely from the conservative political scene in Durban, but towards the end of the 1980s it was reported that he had spoken on the same platform as the notorious political phony Brendan Willmer (see http://www.springbk.org.uk/BJW-CPP.htm). As Willmer was an acknowledged agent of the sell-out National Party government the accusation against Richards therefore seemed to be well founded.
Alas the first public meeting being planned by the WRC had to be cancelled (the reasons are complex and not worth going into detail about now), but at the following committee meeting, after Michiel Falck produced draft copies of membership renewal forms which he had prepared, but before discussions about them could begin, Lawson got up and declared that “We’re a failure, and we might as well give up”. This of course angered Michiel Falck greatly as he had put in such a tremendous amount of time and effort organising and running the WRC and its various anti-integration campaigns, and he announced that if this was the opinion of the whole meeting then he was resigning from all positions in the organisation with immediate effect. Bryan Hurt, having no idea about how the chair a meeting (he usually relied upon Michiel Falck for advice), was then completely flummoxed, and instead of calling for a vote on Lawson’s outrageous proposal simply closed the meeting. The date and venue for the next committee meeting was however arranged, but shortly before this was due to take place the Hurts unilaterally decided to change the date to a day earlier. This present writer could not make this revised date (I had a date that day – but not with Lawson’s girl-friend I hasten to add!), but Michiel Falck – who had only resigned from his offices, and not from the organisation as a whole – was not informed, and thus turned up a day late. This proved to be the last event which the WRC (mk1) ever arranged.
As is known, of course, although the WRC (mk1) itself collapsed less than a year after it was founded, its magazine, S.A.Patriot, continued as an independent publication – and in its re-branded form still survives to this day. Furthermore, after those of us who were forced to relocate to the UK re-launched S.A.Patriot as S.A.Patriot-in-Exile in 1991 and decided to launch an organisational wing to the magazine, it was discovered that the name “White Rhino Club” still had so much resonance amongst British patriots that they wanted this name to be used – and so the White Rhino Club (mk2) to founded – which of course after its merger with the Rhodesian Forum in 1996 became the Springbok Club, which again survives to this day!
But what of those who caused the destruction of the White Rhino Club (mk1)? Lawson, we understand, remains in the “new” South Africa, thus confirming that his membership of an organisation which wished to maintain civilised rule in the country must have been phony. Richards, however, seems to have disappeared completely, having left his wife Pam and presumably condemning her to yet another divorce. But the situation with Onody is the weirdest of the lot. We recently by chance managed to make contact with him via FaceBook, and surprisingly discovered that he too was still living in the “new” South Africa. For a person who fled the Communist regime in Hungary in order to find freedom in civilised-ruled South Africa, then to decide to remain in a crypto-Communist country when his own native Hungary had at the same time fought for and regained its freedom, is – to say the least – sickening. Naively, however, we thought that there might still be some residing patriotic sentiments remaining inside Onody, so we therefore told him what we were trying to do “in exile” via FaceBook, hoping that he might in some way be willing to give us his support. Instead we received the following laughable demented message from him, which we repeat unaltered: “Thanks for the offer. I rather give you the most effective weapon for defeating the Devil led Oligarths and that is the holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary who is appointed by God to crush the head of the serpent. That’s about it. Pray the Rosary unceasingly”!
So there we have it. Of the 13-person original WRC committee (only 12 following the death of dear old Bill Griffiths) one turned out to be an enemy infiltrator, one a paranoid trouble-maker, and one a complete nutter. They all betrayed those who they claimed they aimed to serve and support however – not so much their fellow White South Africans in Durban, but all those White patriots around the Western World who had initially been so impressed by the material which the WRC had produced and believed that the organisation was a truly dynamic and authentic patriotic movement, fighting for the future of White South Africa. The failure of the WRC (mk1) does however teach other patriots throughout the Western World an important lesson. Before establishing any new organisation all the participants should be thoroughly vetted!
