After viewing the notorious toe-curling BBC interview with Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1995 Richard Ayre, then the BBC’s Controller of Editorial Policy, stated: “This programme is going to mean either the end of the BBC or the end of the Royal Family”. Now, almost 26 years later, the Royal Family’s public support has gone from strength to strength, as the public outpourings of grief upon the death of the Duke of Edinburgh and the growing admiration for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has well confirmed. For the BBC, however, this prediction seems about to come true.
Without doubt the recent revelations about how the devious and subversive interview came about has cast a dark shadow over the BBC’s long-term future, involving as it did subterfuge, forgery and downright lying - but the exposing of the fact that there was a 25-year cover-up campaign to prevent the truth being revealed must mean that there is something so systematically wrong with the management of the BBC that it will have to undergo a total roots-and-branch transformation.
There has however been a far more fundamental and hideous problem with the administration of the BBC over the past few decades which has been emphasised by this stupefying scandal. The initials of the BBC stand for the British Broadcasting Corporation, yet increasingly over recent decades the corporation has employed unacceptably high numbers of non-Britons – especially non-Whites – to appear on our TV screens. Even if we are to accept that these non-Whites have a right to reside in the UK, the number that the BBC employs in front-line positions are clearly out of all proportion to the percentage of non-Whites in the country itself. In relation to the infamous interview itself, it was conducted not by a British presenter but by an ethnic Pakistani – Martin Bashir. Why was this Asian with an apparent contempt for the Royal Family and all that Britain represents ever employed by the British Broadcasting Corporation in the first place? Surely there were and still are more than sufficient talented Britons around both qualified and available to be BBC presenters?
The 343 Group campaigned for many years to have the BBC licence fee abolished, and when the 343 Group merged with the Swinton Circle and New Britain to form the Patriotic Forum the newly merged organisation continued to support this campaign. Now surely, after all the disgusting scandal surrounding the fabricated interview and the increasing popular opposition to so many non-Britons appearing on BBC programmes, there is clearly an urgent need for a far more fundamental change in the BBC’s structure.
It should be remembered of course that the BBC started off not as the British Broadcasting Corporation, but as the British Broadcasting Company. Surely therefore not only should the BBC licence fee be abolished, but also the whole organisation should be sold off to ordinary British shareholders – with the institution then hopefully returning to Reithian standards of decency, honesty and patriotism.

Scott Balson is an expat’ South African who migrated to Australia in 1986. His business evolved and grew with the dawn of the Internet in 1994. Scott retired and shut down his business in 2015. As someone at the forefront of the Internet in 1996 he established one of the first daily online newspapers in the world. He has always had an interest in South Africa and spent 30 years researching the Griqua people, resulting in his eighth book "Children of the Mist" published in 2007. Since 2018 he has been putting up videos daily about the real stories behind the news in South Africa - with a focus on politics and crime in the country. His main YouTube channel, Loving Life, has close to 100,000 subscribers, but due to increasing censorship by “Big Tech” he is now transitioning to his own platform at: https://lovinglifetv.com. Over the years Scott has published over 7,000 videos covering a remarkable time in South African and world history.
The Springbok Club is also planning trips to a location on the Kent coast with significant historical connections in July, to a place on the Essex/London where a prominent member of the 1890 Rhodesian Pioneer Column was born in August, and to a property once owned by Cecil John Rhodes in Suffolk in September. Needless to say, fuller details of all these events will be given in future editions of the SCN.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS
Unfortunately the Patriotic Forum hasn’t so far been able to finalise arrangements for any Zoom meeting in June, though it is still hoped that one featuring a high-profile guest speaker will take place before the end of the month. All members and supporters of the Patriotic Forum will of course be notified of the details once finalised.
The Patriotic Forum has also made provisional arrangements for meetings to be addressed by other interesting guest speakers later on during the year, both via Zoom and live. Again more precise details will be circulated in due course.

MESSAGE FROM THE POLITICAL ANIMAL LOBBY
We have recently received the following worrying message from the Political Animal Lobby (PAL) organisation, which reads as follows:-
“One of Namibia’s [South-West Africa’s] last remaining free-roaming elephant herds is in desperate trouble. Drought is forcing them to move from a safe haven to areas where they risk being shot. 20 elephants, who have taken refuge on a 20,000-acre (8,000-hectare) family farm, are living on borrowed time. This elephant family needs your help!
“PAL received an anguished call from animal lovers, in the remote Kunene region of Namibia [South-West Africa] where the elephants live. Their home, a huge farm, is the only one in the area that does not permit hunting. As long as the elephants stay on the farm, they are safe - but if they move, they risk death.
“The elephants have lived on the farm for 20 years and have learned that if they wander too far, death awaits, so they stay. Until recently, they have been thriving, and several babies have recently been born. Now, disaster has struck. A severe drought has dried up waterholes and farm dams; there is virtually no water left. This means that the elephants must either die of thirst or risk being killed if they go elsewhere to seek water.
“With you help, we have promised to provide emergency aid to drill a borehole and repair the dam on the farm that will provide water for the elephant family and save their lives.
“But time is running out - we must act quickly as only one week’s worth of water remains.
“Namibia [South-West Africa] is a hot, dry country, and elephants need to drink large quantities of water every day. Can you imagine their desperation as they wander into dangerous areas, anxious to protect their calves and quench their thirst?
“PAL is the only organization fighting for the survival of this elephant family so your help is crucial. We are close to our goal of raising $7,000 (£5,000) for a borehole and dam that will provide water for the elephants. Your donation today will provide a thirsty elephant with water tomorrow and help save an entire elephant family.
“If we don’t act right now, this fragile elephant family faces disaster and death!
“Elephants are intelligent, social creatures who depend on tight-knit family bonds. If one dies, or the herd is split up or relocated, it results in massive torment and suffering for each elephant. This has disastrous long-term impacts on the wellbeing and survival of each elephant.
“Namibia’s [South-West Africa’s] elephants are so severely under pressure that we cannot miss a chance to give a family of 20 of these amazing creatures the chance of continuing to live in the wild without being shot.
“Africa has already lost 60% of its elephants to ivory poaching, and numbers are continuing to crash. If we don’t act now to save wild elephant populations, there will soon be none left.”

THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION’S INCREASING LEFT-WING BIAS
For some considerable time the Football Association (the governing body for Soccer in England) has displayed extremely pro-left-wing tendencies. Many English fans have become increasingly angry at the number of foreign players being allowed to play in the country’s higher divisions, which thereby prevents many of their own players from reaching the highest levels of the game. This anger has of course been intensified by the manner in which the FA kow-towed to the Marxist/anarchist “Black Lives Matter” subversives last year – though happily this sickening subservience has been met with widescale booing at matches since the “lockdown” restrictions were lifted. The English supporters involved in this booing must therefore be congratulated upon their courageous stance in favour of decency and civilised standards!
A more specific recent manifestation taking place after prominent Soccer matches has confirmed and highlighted the extreme left-wing bias of those currently in charge of the FA however. Foreign players playing for both Leicester City and Manchester United have disgustingly held up flags of the Palestinian entity after matches, and this at a time when the Palestinian terrorists have been firing missiles into Israeli towns indiscriminately killing civilians and their children. Any decent and respectable sporting authority would of course have banned all those implicated in this provocative action sine die – but alas not the FA. They reprehensibly announced that they would be taking absolutely no action against the pro-terrorists involved, stating that the Palestinian flag was a “national flag” and that their rules allowed the displaying of players’ national flags! But the Palestinian flag is not a “national flag”. Palestine is not an internationally recognized country – not even by the United Nations – and furthermore none of the players involved came from the Palestinian territories!
Quite clearly therefore, like the BBC, the Football Association is in urgent need of total roots-and-branch reform!

DOCUMENTARY FILM ABOUT THE N.P.U.K.
A supporter from Sussex has recently informed us that a Granada TV documentary about the National Party of the United Kingdom, which was originally broadcast in 1976, is now available on-line. This documentary was however nothing more than a smear programme produced by Granada TV at a time when the Wilson/Callaghan Labour Government was facing increasing opposition from parties of the patriotic right. A full account of the history of the National Party of the United Kingdom can be found in S.A.Patriot-in-Exile No.37, but in a nutshell although the National Front had been founded as an authentic British patriotic party, a group of neo-fascists managed to usurp control of it in 1975, and as a result the authentic patriots founded the NPUK – and started winning council seats! This frightened the Labour establishment, and it is against this background that the fake claims in this documentary should be judged. [Most significantly it is interesting to note that the two central characters in the programme who had the picture of Hitler on their wall were later exposed as National Front members who had taken Granada’s “shilling” in order to smear the NPUK – and indeed one of them subsequently stood for election as a National Front candidate.]

We were recently sent – anonymously – a copy of a most intriguing newspaper entitled The Light. The headline of the issue which was sent to us, No.9, read “What Pandemic?”, which clearly indicates that this newspaper does not exactly tow the line of the medicrats who maintain that that Covid-19 virus is the most deadly virus which has ever mutated! Indeed the lead article of this issue goes on to state: “Millions know the truth. They’ve done their own research and learned obvious, evident deceptions about the ‘covid-19 pandemic’ such as the lack of any annual death spike” – and furthermore this article is accompanied by several helpful graphs illustrating how the extent and severity of the Covid-19 virus has been exaggerated out of all proportions. A lot of hypocrisy from the Australian Labor Party - why is Bob Hawke still a Labor icon after he cheated on his wife for years, which was covered up by the media and his own Party! That doesn't show any respect for women. He treated Hazel like dirt, and they are just about to name an electorate after him.
A lot of hypocrisy from Labor & The Greens about respect for women. Look at the treatment they dished out to Pauline Hanson. The Greens walked out in the middle of her second "maiden speech" - an example of bullying of female politicians. She was pelted with missiles, shoved, spat on, jostled by Labor and Greens supporters wherever she went, and not a sound of complaint from Labor and The Greens

In the time 1969 to 1975 I and the boys around me where I lived at Barnet in Hertfordshire used to go and play Cricket at Hadley, a village just north of Barnet. One of the residents was the comic Spike Milligan. We knocked our ball into his garden one day and he became cross. I always liked Spike, he was a great comedian and was enormously funny. Mr. Brendan Willmer said Mr. Milligan was not funny. He was wrong! Spike and the Goons did many shows together, and even Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, supported Spike.

CAPE TO MONTEVIDEO
Sir,
Regarding the article “Escape to Paraguay” in the April edition of the SCN, Uruguay is a better option.
Uruguay is the Switzerland of South America; a stable economy and politics, a tax haven and low crime. I visited it in 2011 and compiled a report that compares South Africa with Uruguay and New Zealand against 34 indicators, e.g. exchange rate, rate of crime, quality of living, cost of living, etc. It shows that, although Uruguay is not as attractive as New Zealand, Uruguay is a better place to live than South Africa, especially for South Africans who do not qualify to emigrate to New Zealand.
I took many photos when I was there in 2011. They are not spectacular photos of tourist attractions, but they will give an idea what "everyday life" looks like in Montevideo, neatly organized by area in Montevideo :-

Condolences to H.M Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family on the passing of an incredible Consort and husband of Her Majesty, H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was also a good friend of Rhodesia. While still fit enough to do so, he always had a chat on Armistice Day with those on 'parade' at the Rhodesian plot in the Garden of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey.

FAKE FAITH
Sir,
Your article on the British Israelite, David Culverwell (“The Strange Case of David Culverwell”) prompted me to pen a few thoughts on this curious and eccentric sect.
The British Israelites, though they can trace their origin to the late 18th century, enjoyed their hey-day in the 1920s and 30s.. It was a heady time for odd, minority religious movements – like the Theosophists, followers of the charismatic Russian lady, Madame Blavatsky, who claimed to have received her doctrine from mysterious spirit teachers hidden away in inaccessible Tibetan hide-outs; or like the Christian Scientists who dispense with medical intervention; or like the Spiritualist Church, which fell prey to many a confidence trickster claiming to communicate with the dead, and whose activities prompted the passing of the Fraudulent Mediums Act.
All of the aforementioned sects attracted many wealthy adherents in their day, not least the British Israelites, whose patron at one time was Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, daughter of Queen Victoria's youngest son, Prince Leopold. Nowadays, however, these sects are fading away, as an older generation dies off.
This is hardly surprising in the case of the British Israelites, whose principle defining belief is that the British people are descended from the lost ten tribes of Israel, who, according to the Bible, were taken into captivity to Babylon some 720 years before Christ.
It is truly amazing how some people manage to hold devout beliefs for which there is not a shred of evidence.
After all, the native British people are demonstrably of northern European origin, racially speaking, and the modern science of genetics bears that out abundantly. Likewise the English language – as well as Welsh and Cornish, and Irish, Scots and Manx Gaelic – are totally unrelated to the Semitic language of the ancient Israelites, Hebrew and Aramaic, English being an essentially Germanic tongue, and the others Celtic, and thus members of the Indo-European language family wholly distinct from the Semitic-Hamitic language group. And the history of the arrival of the Angles, Saxons and Jutes from northern Germany from the mid-5th century onwards is well attested by historical chronicles and archaeological evidence.
But the British Israelites have little time for scholarship. Their counter-arguments are that “Saxon” derives from “Isaac's sons” and that “British” comes from the Hebrew word, “brit” meaning “covenant”. That is about the full extent of their flimsy, supposed proofs, arguments actually founded on uneducated pseudo-etymologies, which can barely be taken seriously.
Nonetheless, it has to be admitted that the British Israelite prejudice is rooted in an instinctive patriotism, insofar as it expresses a desire to be able to claim for the British people a noble lineage and a “chosen race” status, but this sometimes blends into a peculiar strain of anti-Semitism, with the British Israelites claiming that the British, not the Jews, are the true Israelites, and the Jews are little more than imposters. It leads, in some of its adherents, to a “more Jewish than thou” mentality in which they try to outdo – or should I say out-Jew – the Jews in strict application of the Old Testament's dietary and sartorial laws.
This hardly, in my view, represents an inspiring or authentic model for future generations of British patriots to emulate, and so it is just as well that the British Israelites are now going the way of the once-vigorous, but now-extinct sects of the Irvingites and the Muggletonians. In other words, they are going down the plughole of theological history into oblivion - and about time too!

OBITUARY
TED CLAPP
We recently received the sad news of the death of Ted Clapp, who we believe was well known to many of our readers, from the Falkland Islands Association. Their appreciation of him read as follows :-
“It is with great sadness that we report the death of Ted Clapp. Ted was invited to become an Honorary Member of the Falkland Islands Emergency Committee in the early 1970s when he was Head of the British Antarctic Survey office in Port Stanley. After the 1982 War this evolved into the Falkland Islands Association and Ted was a vital member of the Executive Committee, becoming Honorary Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Secretary. When he retired from those positions he was invited to become a Vice President. He was a staunch supporter of the Falklands and in 1998 was awarded an MBE for his services to the Falkland Islands.“
