In the UK, or in England at least, all “lockdown” restrictions placed upon the population because of the alleged Covid-19 pandemic will be lifted on 19th July. This news was greeted by a loud cry of “Halleluiah” from an unidentified Conservative back-bencher in the House of Commons. “Halleluiah” indeed, but the main emotion which should have been expressed was not joy that these draconian infringements on personal liberty were about to be removed, but the questioning of why they were ever imposed in the first place.
To be sure, the UK has not been the only Western country to have been inflicted with such demonic and unprecedented regulations, so we therefore do not condemn the Johnson Government in the UK alone, but all those Western governments who have imposed similar tyrannical and unjustifiable restrictions on the rights and liberties of their citizens. Only Sweden (until pressure was exerted on them by their EU “partners”) and Belarus stand out as noble exceptions in the Western world, who rejected the madness and thereby preserved the freedom of their people.
Now is probably a good time to remind ourselves of the FACTS :-
1) Variants of the influenza virus have mutated throughout human history, yet never in the past has any government thought it necessary to “lockdown” the whole of society in order to counteract them.
2) Viruses are minute single-celled organisms – far smaller indeed than bacteria which are themselves too small to be visible to the human eye. If the ridiculous face-masks which the authorities have tried to insist that everyone wears are porous enough to allow people to breath then they are also porous enough to allow viruses to flow in and out!
3) Viruses are also so minute that they have practically no mass. They are therefore airborne and float around in the atmosphere, regardless of how close people stand to each other!
4) Human beings naturally produce anti-bodies which attack and destroy all kinds of viruses which enter their bodies. As viruses mutate so also do the anti-bodies evolve – some of them far quicker than others. Most human beings therefore display no symptoms whatsoever when exposed to viruses as their anti-bodies speedily eradicate them. Practically all humans have therefore probably “caught” Covid-19 (and indeed many of the other multitude of influenza virus variants which constantly circulate in the atmosphere!), with most being totally unaware of the fact because their anti-bodies are so efficient!
5) Of those who have been tested and have been shown to have “caught” the virus (and by no means everyone has been tested!) 99.97% have NOT died within the following 28 days.
6) Of the total number of 124,000 deaths attributed to Covid-19 in the UK (at the time of writing), only slightly over 3000 have Covid-19 as the ONLY cause of death recorded on their death certificates – in other words the vast majority of these deaths involved people with other underlying health conditions, which contributed in part – or in full – to their deaths.
In view of the above facts then why has so much irrational panic, fear and paranoia been whipped up by the international media? The simple answer is that the reason is currently unknown – but anyone who reads George Orwell’s 1984 will gain some incisive clues. There has been much speculation about a not-so-secret plan by a self-appointed international liberal “elite” to initiate what they refer to as “The Great Reset” – a scheme to re-structure the international economy and global society completely in the wake of the pandemic disruption, featuring mind control and population coercion. Incredible though this speculation may seem “all the facts fit”, as they say!
But if there has been one thing which has been even more disturbing than the mainstream media’s exaggerations, hysteria and mis-reporting about the alleged pandemic then it is the manner in which such a high proportion of ordinary citizens have been taken in by all the insane claims spewed out by governments and media alike, and have been prepared to accept the most humiliating regulations placed on them without putting their grey-cells into action. There have however been a small but growing number of examples of resistance to all the “lockdown” lunacy and defiance of the draconian restrictions. Those who are brave enough and intelligent enough to engage in active opposition must of course be supported to the hilt – but more importantly plans must be drawn up to bring all those responsible for all this madness to account!

The Springbok Club held a most enthralling Zoom meeting last month which was addressed by Mr. Scott Balson, the founder and presenter of the expatriate South African Loving Life streaming channel. In his captivating talk Mr. Balson told something about his South African background and how he subsequently emigrated to Brisbane, Australia, where inter alia he founded the Loving Life channel. The Springbok Club will be staging a trip to Herne Bay on the north Kent coast on Saturday 24th July, when the site where the Dam-busters’ “bouncing bomb” was tested will be visited, as well as other sites associated with Sir Barnes Wallis and Amy Johnson, whose aircraft crashed just off the coast. Provisional arrangements are to rendezvous at Herne Bay Railway Station at approximately 12.30 hrs, but we would ask all those intending to attend to notify us beforehand either by e-mail or by ‘phone on: 07711188430 so that we can gauge numbers and give more precise details.

The Springbok Club is also planning a trip to a location on the Essex/London border where a prominent member of the 1890 Rhodesian Pioneer Column was born in August, and to a property once owned by Cecil John Rhodes in Suffolk in September, where the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony will take place. Needless to say, fuller details about both of these events will be given in future editions of the SCN.

MESSAGE FROM THE NETWORK FOR ANIMALS
We have recently received the following most sickening report from the Network for Animals organisation which illustrates vividly the descent into savagery of so many African countries – in this case “Namibia”, the erstwhile South-West Africa – since the abandonment of civilised Western rule. It reads as follows :-
“In Namibia [South-West Africa], baboons are treated as vermin. They are shot by farmers, caught by humans and their body parts used for traditional medicine. Many baboon mothers are killed, leaving innocent babies orphaned and defenceless.
”Baboons are clever, family-orientated creatures who have as much of a right to live on this planet as we do. Abusing and torturing them is barbaric and disgusting, but that is exactly what happens in Namibia.
. “’ Boy’, a young baboon, was caught in a steel-jawed trap. He fought so hard for his life that he freed himself by chewing off one of his back legs. Can you imagine the agony the poor creature must have felt? But it gets worse.
“’Boy’ got away and headed into the wilderness, but crippled and whimpering in excruciating pain, he was spotted, quickly recaptured and chained up. Our Namibian partner, the Co’Lu’Bi Sanctuary, was alerted by an outraged witness, and volunteers made the tough three-hour journey through a desert to investigate. When they reached ‘Boy’, he was still chained with the bone exposed from what was left of his leg. He was crying inconsolably for his mother.
”’Boy’ was rushed to a vet who had to amputate his leg just above the knee, then the Co’Lu’Bi Sanctuary took over his rehabilitation.
”Another baboon, four-month-old ‘Lulu’, suffered an equally horrific ordeal. She had been captured and kept alive so she could be tortured in preparation of traditional Namibian ‘medicines’.
“’Lulu’ was then left to suffer until her body was needed again. The process would have been repeated until she died. Such cruelty boggles the mind.
”Co’Lu’Bi saved ‘Lulu’, and she is now at the sanctuary, safe from further harm. But ‘Lulu’ is just one of the scores of baboon babies flooding the shelter, saved from similar fates. This is just so wrong. Baboons live much like us, living in social groups, fiercely loving and protecting their young. But they are inquisitive, clever and can be mischievous thieves; they love dashing into houses and helping themselves to any food they can find. This gets them into trouble. In Namibia, the poor creatures are punished for the crime of being who they are.
”So many injured baby baboons are arriving at the shelter that the volunteers can’t cope. As soon as they arrive, these babies need medical care, food and love. The love is free, but medical care and supplies are not. We have promised to help raise funds to provide for the baboons' needs, but we can only do so with the help of animal lovers.
“The Co’Lu’Bi Sanctuary is located in an extremely remote corner of Africa where supplies are expensive and difficult to get. But medicines, such as antibiotics, and supplies, such as bandages, are essential for the baboons to recover and have a chance of being returned to safe areas in the wild when they get better. It’s a long and difficult process, but the good people who run the sanctuary possess the rare and necessary skills to help integrate the babies back into wild troops.
”Our partners have an amazing connection with the baboons at the sanctuary - one that we have never seen before! Every day, they walk with the baby baboons, supervising them as they forage in the wild. When the babies are strong enough to be released, they are handed over to a resident wild troop in the area to raise as their own.
“The Co’Lu’Bi Sanctuary gets no help from government and struggles to meet all the baboons’ needs by eking out of its meager resources to the absolute limit. They have turned to us for help, and we promised to ask our supporters for assistance. So please if you possibly can, donate to Network for Animals today so that we can give ‘Lulu’, ‘Boy’, and all the other rescued baboons, the vital care they need to heal as they prepare to return to the wild.

SPORTSMEN’S RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH
No sooner had Ollie Robinson, the Sussex fast bowler, made a spectacular debut in England colours by taking 7 for 101 against New Zealand in May than he was suspended from the game by the ECB because he had sent a number of allegedly “racist” and “sexist” tweets some eight to nine years earlier. The allegedly “racist” and “sexist” tweets complained about simply read “My new muslim friend is the bomb #wheeyyyyy” and “females who play video games actually tend to have more sex”. These tweets were certainly most bizarre, but how any rational person can take offence at them is beyond belief! As a result of this nonsensical complaint Ollie Robinson was banned from the game for eight matches by the Cricket Discipline Commission – though five of these match-bans were suspended.
Ollie Robinson hasn’t been the only leading cricketer to fall foul of the anti-free speech “politically correct” sporting Gestapo however. In 2015 Craig Overton, the Somerset and England fast bowler, was banned for two matches for allegedly telling a Pakistani batsman to “go back to your own f*cking country” – a phrase which, if correctly reported, is no different from those which can be heard in almost any pub or street-corner on any day of the week in any part of the country! A number of top Footballers have also been victimised simply because their historic alleged comments and opinions did not meet with the approval of the “politically correct” soccer authorities, most recently Jarrod Bowen of West Ham United.
This attempted curtailment of the freedom of speech against sportsmen and women should not be tolerated however, and encouragingly the banning of Ollie Robinson has been attacked by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Oliver Dowden as being “over the top” – an observation which even received the backing of the Prime Minister. Happily Ollie Robinson is now back playing for Sussex again, and even more happily is once again in the wickets!

EXPAT’ SOUTH AFRICAN ACTIVITY IN THE U.S.
Supporters now based in the United States have recently written to us to tell us about the most encouraging activities of a South African expat’ organisation they have made contact with. Their report reads as follows :-
“We went to a skaapbraai hosted by Jax SA yesterday. They sold 300 dinners and people actually flew in from Canada to attend. This is an annual event that is growing due to the large South African population in Florida and surrounding states. They spoke Afrikaans and played South African music. I could send pictures if you want.”

WORRYING NEWS FROM SANWILD WILDLIFE TRUST
Long-standing readers will undoubtedly remember the SanWild Wildlife Trust, the South African wildlife conservation centre founded and run by a remarkable lady, Louise Joubert, who sadly died in 2018, and with whom we enjoyed close and friendly relations. Although the running of SanWild was taken over by a new board of trustees following Louise’s tragic death, we alas subsequently lost contact with them, but have recently received a couple of very worrying circular e-mails from them, the second of which reads as follows :-
“I wanted to use this opportunity to update everyone on what happened last night and all the information that came to light throughout the day.
“I think most of the community is still shell-shocked at the scale and audacity of last night's coordinated attack on SanWild and several surrounding farms. As I mentioned this morning, two rhinos were poached on a neighboring farm, and we found out this afternoon that the cow was pregnant. So in effect, we are looking at three rhinos that lost their lives.
”Our hearts go out to the owners of the farm. Having been through this ourselves, I can testify how difficult and demoralizing it is when you lose an animal like this. Everyone's investing an incredible amount of resources and time to keeping their rhinos safe. We hardly ever speak of the successes, the days that poachers are successfully stopped before they can do any harm. But in the rare days that poachers successfully breach security and kill a rhino as they did last night, scrutiny comes down like a guillotine, and all the successes and hard work is gone in a second.
”So what happened that night? It would seem that the poachers restructured their standard approach and planned a mega attack. Perfectly coordinated, they had small teams hit alarm stations on SanWild and surrounding farms at the exact same time. Response teams set out to all the locations, and while this was happening, the poachers send in another team to poach the rhinos. Not only did they manage to steal solar panels of solar pumps, but they manage to steal complete alarm systems with energizers and SMS modules. On SanWild, they stole three units at R20,000 each... the damage is astronomical. They also stole about R30,000 solar panels from one of our borehole water pumps. On our neighboring farms, the exact same thing happened.
”We estimate that at least 20 poachers participated in this coordinated attack.
”What is the way forward? We are busy replacing the electrification and alarm systems on SanWild's perimeter fences that were stolen. The three units come in at about R60,000 ($4,300) and borehole solar panels set at about R25,000 ($1,800).
”We want to thank all our followers who have donated to help us replace the solar alarm systems. We still have some ways to go, but every little makes a big difference which is critical at the point to get our alarm system back up and running.
”The other solution that we are looking at is an AI (artificial intelligence) camera system that we can deploy on the roads surrounding SanWild, and its neighboring farms. Artificial Intelligence can monitor hundreds of video camera feeds at the same time. They can identify humans from animals; they can identify cars, number plates, and human faces. The system can be set up to notify the control room and response teams when a car stops and lets people out. Likewise, it can identify people crossing a road from one farm to another. It can time a vehicle from where it enters the road network to where it exists. The time it took can be compared to others and indicate whether the car stopped anywhere on the road.
”If implemented to cover each segment of a road, this technology could help us stop poachers before they can enter a property. I wanted to thank everyone again who reached out and for those who made donations.

Mr. C.E. Hedgcock operated out of a P.O.Box at the central Durban Post Office, though it is believed that he actually lived on the Bluff. He was a relatively early subscriber to S.A.Patriot magazine, and he is believed to have attended meetings of the original Patriotic Forum in Durban occasionally. LETTER TO THE EDITOR
AMERICAN NIGHTMARE
Sir,
As for America, while the streets are presently quiet and while we are starting to loosen up a little on COVID-19 hysteria, my friends and I are starting to see a very dark time coming for Caucasians in America. Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston has already proposed "priority" (refusal) of cardiac care to Caucasians in arbitrary favor of other races; which (pardon my bleeding heart) I view as an unfathomable breach of medical ethics. But, more than that, I am seeing a lot of unofficial discrimination in the medical sector and judicial system.
To boil it down, African Americans (especially) and Latinos seem to get lighter penalties in the American judicial system and more access to pain medications in the American medical system. They also get special academic waivers and preference in university admission, even though it is usually Caucasians and certain (not all) groups of Asians who tend to possess the actual academic prowess. The bar is obviously lowered to suit communities of people who tend to struggle in academics and in the workforce, and the very small percentage of persons who excel in those communities are lifted up as proof positive that it is only a matter of time before the rest of their communities come along; but that of course never happens and any Caucasian or Asian who dares to point out the failure in logic is silenced. ...and, this dressed up hatred is rapidly magnifying.
Right now, it seems as though Caucasian Americans think they can still move away from the aforementioned problems, rather than fight the problems. However, I am confident that is a losing strategy because there is no moral high ground in a war, and whether Caucasian Americans want to see it or not, communities of African-Americans (especially) and communities of Latinos have already declared their own war on Caucasian Americans. For the African-Americans, their community (not every individual) seems possessed by a blind rage over perceived historical grievances which ironically often have a root in their own native tribes and, for the Latinos, their community (not all individuals) seem less murderous than the African-Americans, but hell-bent on invading our southern border in the interest of stealing social benefits which should be reserved for legal American citizens. So, in the end, I believe that Caucasian Americans were very foolish not to have fought back when our cities burned last year and very foolish not to have expelled the illegals as they invaded the country over the past 50 years. It is only a matter of time before it is the suburbs which start to burn, and only a matter of time before America becomes more like a 3rd world, South American state. (...and count on the same human rights abuses, too, which will clearly be directed at Caucasian Americans.)

OBITUARY
DONALD HENRY RUMSFELD
It was with much sadness that we learnt of the recent death of Donald Henry Rumsfeld at the age of 88. Donald Rumsfeld was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1932, and graduated with a degree in political science from Princeton University. After a spell in the US Navy he embarked upon what was to prove to be a long and accomplished political career, being elected as a Republican congressman for an Illinois district in 1963.
His undoubted talents were soon spotted by leading figures in the GOP, and he was appointed as Head of the Office of Economic Opportunity by President Richard Nixon. There then followed a succession of government appointments including US ambassador to NATO, culminating in his appointment as US Secretary of Defence by President Gerald Ford. When the GOP lost power to the Democrats Donald Rumsfeld entered the private sector, serving as CEO for a number of scientific-orientated companies. He re-entered government service under President George H.W.Bush however, and when his son President George W.Bush entered the White House he re-appointed Donald Rumsfeld as US Secretary of Defence.
It was in this position that Donald Rumsfeld truly made his mark. Following the al-Qa’eda terrorist attacks on the US in 2001 he was a forceful advocate of determined military action against al-Qa’eda bases in Afghanistan and the Saddam Hussein Ba’athist regime in Iraq, who had backed and financed them. As a result of his forthright action whilst Secretary of Defence the pro-terrorist Ba’athist regime in Iraq was overthrown and their Taliban allies in Afghanistan were contained, and there were then no further terrorist attacks on US soil.
Donald Rumsfeld was therefore not only a great American, but also a hero-figure who the whole of the West owes a big debt of gratitude to. Our sincerest sympathies are extended to Donald Rumsfeld’s widow Joyce, his three children and his seven grandchildren.
