The outcome of the trial of the vandals who toppled the statue of Edward Colston in Bristol was without doubt one of the most perverse, disgusting and obscene “verdicts” in the history of British jurisprudence.
It was not so much the fact that the self-confessed hooligans who attacked this fine piece of public commemorative sculpture were sickeningly found “not guilty”, but the fact that they tried to justify their criminal actions by claiming that they were on the side of “good”. Edward Colston was described by his contemporaries as “a wise and virtuous man”, a description which was repeated almost two centuries later as an inscription on the plinth of his statue when it was erected in 1895. If the toppling of a statue to a man who was regarded as “wise and virtuous”, who brought great prosperity to the British nation and who bequeathed schools, hospitals and almshouses to the people of Bristol, can be regarded by both the perpetrators of this diabolical act and at least two jury members at their trial as being “good”, then quite clearly – to paraphrase Marcellus in Hamlet – there is something rotten in today’s State of Britain!
But before anyone argues that jury trials are a traditional part of the British justice system, and that their verdicts must be respected regardless of any personal opinions, one most important fact should be remembered. Prior to 1972 jury members in Britain had to be property owners, ipso facto they therefore had to be British. It only needs two jury members to refuse to allow a guilty verdict to be passed, so it is therefore highly likely that the proper verdict was not passed in the trial of those who vandalised the statue of our great national hero Edward Colston only because of a couple of non-Britons, who for one reason or another harboured a hatred for the country in which they resided.
It is also important to remember that the middle phase of the Triangular Atlantic Trade system which Edward Colston, along with many other sea-faring entrepreneurs, practiced involved the purchasing of negroes from West African warlords who had captured them after defeating rival tribes, and who would have had them butchered if it wasn’t for their purchase and subsequent transportation to a new life in the New World. To be sure, their new life of enslavement wasn’t utopian, but it was obviously the lesser of two evils. In this regard it is therefore poignant to note that those negroes who were instrumental in the toppling of Edward Colston’s statue wouldn’t have been alive to do this if their ancestors hadn’t been rescued from a certain horrific death by the likes of Edward Colston. Makes you think, doesn’t it!
There are now therefore three important changes which all true British patriots should campaign for :- 1) A reversion to the pre-1972 qualifications for jury members (i.e. a property qualification which will mean that foreigners will no longer be eligible to serve on British juries). 2) The restoration of Edward Colston’s statue in Bristol to its previous position of prominence, and the erection of similar statues to other great British heroes and philanthropic benefactors in other towns and cities across the land. 3) A reform of the education system so that the true facts about British history are taught and our heroes honoured, rather than the teaching of the “politically correct” lies which are currently being spewed out in an attempt to brainwash our kids.

The Springbok Club will be holding a joint celebration of Burns Night and Australia Day later this month, the details for which are as follows :-
Date : Tuesday 25th January 2022
Times : Assemble from 18.30 onwards. Meal to commence at 19.00 hrs
Venue : The Sir John Hawkshaw (a Wetherspoons pub), Unit 3, Cannon Street Station, Cannon Street, London EC4N 6AP.
This event will consist of firstly a traditional haggis meal and recitations. A section of the pub has been reserved for the Springbok Club party to the left of the main entrance, which will be identified by an arrangement of blue chairs. After the meal and other festivities have been completed, at approximately 21.00 hrs, the party will move on to the near-by bust honouring Admiral Arthur Phillip (who founded the settlement at Sydney and became the first Governor of New South Wales) where due respects will be paid and the original version of the Australian National Anthem will be sung. It will of course be Australia Day in Australia itself by that time!

“So faced up against heavily armed poachers, they don’t stand a chance. They need our rangers’ defences - brave men and women who are willing to check on every rhino, every week, and defend them from the lurking threat.
“With your support, we can give those rangers the equipment they need to do that. From boots, to canine support units, to scout equipment - if they have the necessary tools provided by people like you, it means they can focus on the task at hand and safely defend these wonderful animals.
“Right now, the story of what humanity did to rhinos is horrible. Absolutely horrible. But - because of people like you - we are on the cusp of turning that around. We’re on the cusp of actually saving them.”

SOLIDARITY WITH NOVAK DJOKOVIC
Novak Djokovic of Serbia is currently ranked as the world’s No.1 male Lawn Tennis player. He has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles, including winning the Australian Open 9 times. He is the current Australian Singles Champion. Yet in spite of all his achievements the Australian authorities have decided to deport him from the country, and thereby to prevent him from defending his title.
So why was this? Has he been guilty of some crime? Has he tested positive for some performance-enhancing drug? Has he been involved in some betting coup? No, his “crime” was to have entered the country without having the decreed anti-Covid-1984 vaccinations.
Novak Djokovic has proved to be a bit of a Covid-sceptic – though not as fundamentally so as many would have liked him to be, as he has alas often been photographed wearing one of those ridiculous facemasks. He has however been forthright in his opposition to compulsory vaccinations, and for this stance in favour of individual freedom he must surely be congratulated.
But there has been another most important revelation which has emerged from his victimisation. He has twice “tested positive” for the Covid-19 virus – yet he has never displayed any symptoms! Such a illogical situation seems however to have been commonplace with the vast majority of people who have “tested positive” for the virus, and as a result have been forced to “isolate”. Surely if there are no symptoms then there is no disease – and so the whole international paranoia about what is self-evidently a relatively innocuous virus has been shown to be a wild over-reaction!
Novak Djokovic is a great Lawn Tennis player, but perhaps his more important contribution to the world is that he has highlighted – albeit only in a limited manner – the entire demonic nature of all the Covid-1984 hysteria. Those who ruled in favour of his deportation have brought great shame on the great nation of Australia. Novak Djokovic’s name will however live on in the world’s Hall of Fame long after the names of those idiots who ordered his deportation are forgotten!

SUCCESS FOR PATRIOTIC FORUM CAMPAIGN
The recent government announcement that the BBC licence fee is to be phased out over the next five years represents a triumph for a long-standing Swinton Circle (now part of the Patriotic Forum of course) campaign. Initiated way back in the late 1980s by Swinton Circle/Patriotic Forum stalwart Brian Danes, the aim of this campaign was to have the BBC licence fee abolished entirely, so that the organisation would then have to pay its own way, and thereby hopefully would no longer be a vehicle for “politically correct” bias.
Brian Danes was tenacious in his monitoring of left-wing bias in BBC programmes, and of the numbers of non-White foreigners who appeared on BBC screens – particularly as newsreaders. He circulated the Fact-Sheets which he produced as a result of this monitoring widely, with the campaign gaining great publicity and influence in high places – which was confirmed when he was granted a sympathetic interview with John Whittingdale when he was Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. Congratulations must therefore be extended to Brian Danes and other Swinton Circle/Patriotic Forum activists for their determination in promoting this campaign.

Gert Cronje from Nigel in the Transvaal made contact with us shortly after we were forced to leave South Africa and to re-establish operations in exile, and became a subscriber to S.A.Patriot-in-Exile as a result. OBITUARY
RICHARD ERSKINE FRERE LEAKEY
It was with great sadness that we learnt of the recent death of Richard Leakey, the internationally renowned paleoanthropologist, conservationist and political activist. Born at Nairobi in 1944, Richard Leakey was a true and esteemed son of the British Empire. His parents, Louis and Mary Leakey, were internationally respected paleoanthropologists who had discovered many fossils and bones of early humanoids in Tanganyika, but although Richard was eventually to follow in their footsteps in this line he eschewed more formal education and was largely self-taught in the subject.
Richard’s own paleoanthropologic discoveries and the theories which he advanced as a result of them were to prove ground-breaking however, and he demonstrated clearly the fundamentally differing routes of human evolution from the apes and homo-erectus – a subject which of course was very controversial in post-independence Africa! Richard Leakey was a courageous and determined man however, and unlike most other British Imperial administrators and entrepreneurs he remained in Kenya after premature independence was granted in 1963, even though there were many threats against his life.
As well as pursuing his studies of paleoanthropology, becoming acutely aware of the catastrophic destruction of wildlife taking place in post-independence Kenya, he increasingly devoted his life to environmental conservation. Through his high international reputation and the sheer force of his personality he surprisingly managed to gain the respect of and influence over the new Black rulers of Kenya, and was appointed Director of the National Museums of Kenya and the head of the Kenyan Wildlife Service. In the latter role he had to deal with rampant corruption and inefficiency in the service, but managed to turn it around, with his most famous and praise-worthy achievement being the curtailment of the ivory trade by the widely-publicised destruction of a massive pile of captured elephant tusks.
Richard Leakey’s relationship with the Black Kenyan president Daniel Arap Moi was always frosty, but Moi and other Black leaders gradually came to realise that it was in their own and their country’s best interest to gain a good international reputation, and thus to encourage the tourist trade, rather than continuing to drive its wildlife into extinction. At one stage, however, Richard Leakey became so frustrated with the corruption and inefficiency of the Kenyan civil service that he founded his own political party, Safina (“Ark”), which in spite of being led by a White Man obtained so much popularity among Black voters that Richard Leakey was eventually appointed Cabinet Secretary by Moi. As a result Kenya undoubtedly became for a while one of the best governed countries in Black Africa, and Kenya’s prosperity rose as a result.
Richard Leakey’s unlikely successes in the political and environmental spheres in Kenya led to him gaining a very high reputation throughout the Western world – and across the political spectrum! At a Swinton Circle meeting held in London during the mid-1990s, just after the tame surrender of South Africa, it was asserted that “Richard Leakey is about the only White Man behaving like a White Man in Africa today”. Although there was disruptive opposition to this remark from one unfortunate “moan and groan” character present, it was however greeted with full approval by the meeting as a whole.
Richard Leakey was a great scientist, a great conservationist and a great human being. His memory will live on as an inspiration for all who wish to see civilised norms return to the African continent Our sincerest condolences are extended to his widow and to his three daughters.
