As readers will know, the SCN usually only concerns itself with affairs relating to South Africa, the U.K. and other parts of the British Commonwealth. The recent conflict between Russia and the Ukraine is however so catastrophic and of such global importance that it can’t pass without comment.
Our movement is of course staunchly Unionist in the U.K. context, and as such tends to support the unity, and in some cases the re-unification, of all the great European nation-states. As a result we also naturally support the unity of the Russian people – and by saying this we mean “All the Russias” as the country was termed during Tsarist times, meaning basically Russia itself, Belarus (“White Russia”) and the Ukraine.
President Putin therefore has much validity when he asserts that the Ukraine is an artificial country. The very word “Ukraine” means “borderlands” - i.e. the borderlands of Russia. Apart from a few months following the Soviet Revolution, and for three years as a German puppet state during WW2, there was never any independent country with the name of “Ukraine” prior to 1991. The Ukrainian language, being an East Slavic tongue, is little more than a linguistic dialect of Russian, written in the same Cyric alphabet; and Kiev (to use the long-standing English spelling) was capital of Russia (i.e. “All the Russias”) from 882 to 1243.
Having said all this, however, Putin’s “Special Military operation” into the Ukraine surely cannot be justified. Not only is it morally wrong – involving the slaughter of thousands of innocent civilians – but it is also clearly counter-productive. Rather than encouraging the Ukrainian people to rejoin “Mother Russia” it will have completely the opposite effect, as the trauma of the conflict will remain in the Ukrainian psyche for generations to come. The military operation of only a few days will put back the aspiration of Russian re-unification by a hundred or so years!
To be sure there are many unpleasant aspects about the current Ukrainian state which have caused genuine apprehensions within the Russian government – the rampant corruption throughout society; the strength and influence of extremist forces who idolize the German puppet-state of the 1940s, and of course the current president, who although undoubtedly an honest and decent person himself, is a comic actor by profession and clearly not qualified for such high office, resulting in him becoming a puppet of the more sinister forces in the Ukrainian “deep state”. Perhaps the most worrying aspect of the current Ukraine however is the control which the United States – specifically the Biden Administration - has over it, for Biden’s son Hunter holds great financial interests in the country. We believe however that it would have been infinitely better and more effective if the Russian Government had used the rapier rather than the sabre to eliminate these threats on their border.
But there is something more fundamental and important involved here. In spite of being termed a “Special Militaty Operation” the conflict is in reality a war – a civil war. Both sides in this conflict are Slavs, and thereby all participants and casualties are White. During WW1 a commentator observed that whilst the White nations were massacring each other the non-White nations around the world were sitting back and laughing. This alas is probably also the case now. We therefore can only entreat both sides to enter into immediate negotiations to end this self-defeating fratricidal conflict. We say this not as an enemy of Russia, but as a friend.

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
Arrangements for the Springbok Club’s 2022 AGM have now been finalized, and are as follows :-

Time : Assemble from 14.00 hrs, meeting to start at 14.30 hrs
Venue : The Antelope (the upstairs “snug” room), 22 Eaton Terrace, Belgravia, London SW1W 8EZ (nearest tube station: Sloane Square)
All fully paid-up members of the Springbok Club are entitled to attend and to participate in this meeting, though only Life, Honorary and Full members will be entitled to vote and stand for office. Invitations containing full details about the itinerary of the business side of this meeting will shortly be forwarded to all current members by post and/or e-mail.
Following the conclusion of the business side of proceedings (which is anticipated at approximately 15.15 hrs.) there will be a fascinating PowerPoint presentation about the British colonisation of New Zealand, starting with Capt. James Cook’s voyages of discovery at the end of the 18th century through to the first permanent settlements organised by the New Zealand Company in 1839/40...All friends and supporters of the Springbok Club, be they current members or not, will be welcome to attend this section of proceedings.
The Springbok Club also has an exciting series of potential events mapped out for the rest of the year, and these will be discussed and finalised at the AGM.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS
The Patriotic Forum held a highly informative Zoom meeting last month, which was addressed by Ms. Kay A. Shemirani, a holder of a General Nursing Diploma (Pers Nutr), and a leading campaigner against the unjustified Covid-19 regulations and compulsory vaccinations. In her extremely knowledgeable talk Ms. Shemirani fully exposed the nature of the “Covid con” and the part played by “big Pharma” in the controversial drive for mass vaccinations.
Unfortunately this Zoom meeting was beset by technical problems, and as a result didn’t begin until twenty minutes after the advertised start time. We know that quite a number of people who wished to attend presumed that the meeting had been cancelled because of this delayed start, and so we apologise to all these people for their disappointment and frustration.

The Patriotic Forum has decided not to stage any further Zoom meetings until the technical problem has been fully resolved, but in any case intends to resume live meetings as from next month. MESSAGE FROM THE ANIMAL SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION
We have recently received the following truly alarming message from the Animal Survival International organisation about the plight of Rhinos in the “new” South Africa. It reads as follows:-
“Please, help us provide the special foods and medications and 24-hour care that Daisy (and her three friends) need to survive!
“We have terrible news! Right now, four baby rhinos have been orphaned after their mothers were killed for their horns in the South African bush. We have been asked to help save them. Taking advantage of freak storms, poachers swooped in on a game area in South Africa’s “Mpumalanga” [South-East Transvaal] area and slaughtered every rhino they could find. These orphans need our help!
“They are the innocent victims of a poaching epidemic that has swept the country. Poachers have killed 24 rhinos in South Africa since the beginning of December, according to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment.
“Each baby rhino story is more heart-wrenching than the next…it’s a miracle that four babies survived!
“One baby was no more than 12 hours old when she was found lying next to her mother’s mutilated carcass with the umbilical cord still attached. Now named Daisy, she had yet to take her first steps; she couldn’t even stand. She was rushed to our partner, Care for Wild’s (CFW) sanctuary where she received an emergency blood transfusion from an older rescued rhino.
“Daisy now has intensive round-the-clock care. She is fed hourly and always has a caregiver with her. She is a tiny, tiny baby and has already lost out on receiving the nourishing colostrum from her mother’s milk that should’ve kick-started her development.
“One of the last of his species, baby Taro wandered hungry and alone for days…followed by hungry hyenas!
“It couldn’t be more important that Taro, a baby black rhino, survives because black rhino are hurtling towards extinction, with only 5,000 left in the world. Taro’s survival could make an important contribution to breeding – if we can keep him alive. Poachers used the cover of a storm to brutally kill his mother and he wandered alone in the wilderness for several days before an anti-poaching unit found him and sent him to our partner.
“For 18-month-old Taro, proper nutrition is crucial – he must eat between 20 and 30 different shrubs and trees every day as well as take special medication for the next two months if he is to have a chance.
“So traumatized by his ordeal, Aquazi had to be sedated and blindfolded before his pneumonia could be treated!
“Aquazi was found when he was just three weeks old. He’s another little miracle because he had wandered the bushveld on his own for several days and still survived, just. He was so stressed that he had to be blindfolded, given earplugs and sedated before he could be put on a drip to fight pneumonia in his body. Aquazi is now stable. He has a sweet nature and has befriended an orphaned zebra at the sanctuary.
“Shiloh was so close to death she had to be medevacked by helicopter during a ferocious storm!
“Shiloh was found lying motionless close to her mother’s body just as a ferocious storm rolled in. A rescue helicopter managed to get the baby to our partners just in time and veterinarians immediately began treating her on the helipad.
“All four babies are so stressed by their ordeals that they must be given medication to prevent the development of deadly ulcers. Without it, vets say all four would die.
“It is amazing that these defenseless babies survived long enough to be rescued. Although they are now safely in the hands of a devoted team of caregivers (in an undisclosed location – for their safety), it remains a touch-and-go situation for all of them.
“The CFW team is working in shifts to ensure a caregiver is always by the orphans’ sides – they must be monitored around the clock. The youngest calf, still only a few days old, must be fed every hour because she is not stable, and her condition is of major concern.
“All of the babies are severely traumatized and fighting for their lives. We have never before been called upon to save four baby rhinos at the same time – it is a staggering task and one we cannot complete without the help of animal lovers like you.”

THE 2022 OLYMPIC GAMES
This year’s Winter Olympic Games held at Peking/Beijing will not go down in history as one of the best organised Games ever. It was a controversial choice as host right from the beginning, not only because of the appalling human rights record of the People’s Republic of China, but also because most of the venues were hundreds of miles away from the nominal host city, and were situated in the far northern wilderness in unsuitable climatic areas which had never previously been used for international competitions.
The situation was made far worse of course by the paranoid measures taken as a result of the so-called Covid pandemic, which involved very limited numbers of spectators being allowed to view the events, all competitors being required to wear ridiculous face-masks when not actually competing, and competitors being barred from competing if they had “tested positive”, even though they displayed no symptoms!. Given that these Games took place in the People’s Republic then these draconian restrictions were perhaps not surprising! There was also the unwarranted banning of Russian competitors being allowed to compete under their country’s name and flag, allegedly because some Russian sportsmen and women had tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in the past. If all countries who had sportsmen and women testing positive in the past were to be sanctioned in this way then there would be very few national flags on display!
The organisation of events clearly lacked efficiency and expertise, which was of course most obviously exemplified by the mis-direction of Jarl Magnus Riiber in the Nordic Combined event! This of course mirrored the chaotic scenes at the start of one of the Triathlon events at last year’s Summer Olympic Games at Tokyo. It seems quite clear therefore that Asian venues and organisers are totally unsuitable for major sporting events. There are after all plenty of resorts in the Alps, Scandinavia and the Rockies eager to stage future Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games!
As far as the competitions themselves were concerned there were several outstanding performances, with the magnificent victory of Eve Muirhead’s Women’s Curling Team being the highlight of the Games for all British fans. Other notable Gold Medal winning performances which deserve hearty congratulations include those of Beat Feuz (Switzerland) and Corinne Suter (Switzerland) in Alpine ski-ing events, Quentin Fillon Maillet (France), Johannes Thingnes Bo (Norway) and Marte Roiseland (Norway) in Biathlons, Alexander Bolshunov (Russia) and Therese Johaug (Norway) in Cross-County Ski-ing, Marius Lindvik (Norway) in Ski-Jumping, and Nils van der Poel (Sweden) and Irene Schouten (Netherlands) in Speed Skating.
But what of the “new” South Africa? After the 2018 Winter Olympics held at PyeongChang in the Republic of Korea we observed that the “new” South Africa had only sent one competitor. In 2022, however, even this was surpassed, as this year the country sent zero competitors! Surely nothing can more clearly demonstrate that sorry land’s decline from First World Sporting Super-power to irrelevant Third World non-starter than this! We’ve asked in the past if anyone knows what became of the Springbok Ski Club of the 1970s, and the most delightful lady who ran it, but alas we never received any response. We ask again therefore whether any reader has any information?

A TRAITOR’S OWN GOAL
Reader’s may well remember an individual named Ben van der Merwe who made contact with the Springbok Club in 2018, expressed seeming support for the organisation, and even claimed to be the great-grandson of Frank Waring, the former NP cabinet member. Van der Merwe was subsequently exposed as a traitor when he was involved in the stealing of a Rhodesian flag at the 2018 “Raising of the Flag” ceremony, after which it was discovered that he was the author of some very left-wing articles in the Oxford University publication Cherwell!
A supporter has however recently informed us that van der Merwe has now evidently moved-on, and is currently writing for the Leftist magazine The New Statesman. The article which caught our supporter’s eye, however, was complaining that new legislation meant that some six million foreigners currently resident in the UK would no longer be eligible for British citizenship. Rather than advancing his Leftist cause by this article, it has actually proved something of an “own goal”, as it has been a great encouragement and morale-booster for patriotic Britons who have for long campaigned for an end to immigration and the initiation of an effective repatriation programme, This most interesting article can be accessed at :-

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?
No.280 - Mr. KEITH BOLTON of Wellington, New Zealand.
Keith Bolton (he sometimes went under the name of Kerry Bolton) was a patriotic activist in New Zealand during the 1980s. He was National Secretary of a New Zealand patriotic political party called New Force and was on the editorial board of their magazine Attack!. In 1983, however, New Force changed its name to the Nationalist Workers Party, but alas this rather strange change did not prove a success, and the organisation collapsed shortly thereafter. Keith Bolton maintained his patriotic activism however, and founded a patriotic publishing and book-selling enterprise called Realist Publications. Keith Bolton and the New Force established very close and friendly contacts with S.A.Patriot during the early 1980s however, and indeed were featured in an article in the magazine’s “White Renaissance” series in edition No.20 of S.A.Patriot. Alas contact with Keith Bolton somehow ceased after the magazine was forced to relocate to the UK in 1990, although being an exchange subscriber he continued to be sent copies of both S.A.Patriot-in-Exile and The Imperial Patriot. The latest couple of copies of The Imperial Patriot sent to him were returned however, as he is evidently no longer living at his last known Wellington location. If anyone knows what has happened to him and where he is now we would be most interested to learn.

GLOBAL STRUGGLE
Sir,
In my eyes, those behind your organisation are heroes. When so many other 'cardboard men' hurt South Africa, you exposed them and you tried to stop the disaster from happening. I really do look up to you. Overall, 98% of our values are the same. I'm a wee bit more 'flexible' on a few social issues involving marriage [mainly because of my time in Thailand], but we see the world through pretty similar eyes. I believe in civilized rule, and it's been a great honour to be part of your organization, even though I am not South African.
As for me, I've been quiet because I've been slammed with final exams. I also had a major family issue recently, and have to go through the pain of a broken heart. At age 44, I've learned that the pain of a broken heart never changes. It's just like being a teenager again; and I'm immersed right now in exposing some wrong things that Thailand's international hospitals are doing. I'm convinced that at least a modest part of it has to do with racism. This is Asia, and Caucasians have been told to be last in line for Covid care/major medical care because, frankly, of what I call Asian supremacism.

TAX ADVICE
Sir,
It is high time that UK income tax payers realise that WE are the EMPLOYERS of all publicly funded personnel. The government of every hue never, ever, thinks of cutting un-necessary costs when unforeseen expenses occur. They only think of raising taxes or reducing necessary benefits. One essential reform would be to cap ALL publicly funded salaries to say, £100,000 pa. This would sort out the NHS executive salary quoted in the example below. Of course this salary cap would need some exceptions but these could be listed and published. Many council employees are also paid vast salaries which the council tax payers have absolutely no control over. Hence the non-publicly funded UK income tax payers are paying their taxes, pensions and income tax taken from their salaries.
Cutting costs means that we cannot afford HS2 and this should be scrapped immediately. The benefits paid to illegal immigrants must be minimised which should help to reduce substantially the numbers coming to the UK. We are apparently signatories to international treaties that prevent us sending them back to France. So, revoke our involvement in the treaties which overrule the rights of countries to control who can live .in their country. We the taxpayers are having to pay for all these immigrants most of whom are apparently economic migrants anyway. I understand that some treaties insist that immigrants have the RIGHT to live in any country they want to. In other words UK taxpayers are expected to fund the total world population if they all want to come and live here. Totally ridiculous. Hence UK taxpayers must combine to assert what we are willing to pay for. example, senior civil servants are often given a vast payment on retirement. This is when many UK citizens are relying on food banks to survive. The government tried to put a cap on the amount but the Civil Service Union objected and I think the craven government gave in and the cap was either removed or increased. These payments MUST be scrapped altogether.
Another bone of contention is the CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) for UK lorry drivers. This involves every lorry driver having to go back to school for a week every 5 years to keep his certificate current. This was another bureaucratic requirement legislated by the EU some years ago. Why is it necessary? The UK had a HGV driving licence system before this was introduced which must have been perfectly adequate for road safety. After all lorry drivers are all professional drivers and 35 hours of classroom tests every 5 years are an insult to their professionalism. Now assume we have 250,000 lorry drivers (includes, bus drivers etc.) in the UK. Therefore every 5 years we are losing 250,000 weeks of deliveries. That is 50,000 delivery weeks every year. Hence scrapping the CPC system would result in putting another 1,000 lorry drivers on the road. We, the consumers, are obviously funding this colossal waste of effort thanks to the EU. Now it could be argued that if our drivers do not have a CPC they could be banned from driving in the EU. Two responses to that argument:
1 Why should UK drivers who only drive on UK roads have to comply with driving qualifications imposed by another, foreign, country? Why stop at EU rules? Why not make them comply with Mexico's standards or Venezuela’s and Indian driving licence requirements? It is clearly ridiculous and is another example of where there is a problem, such as the lorry driver shortage, it is made worse by another EU imposed regulation that is at fault. The tosspots in government and the civil service are also hugely at fault for not abolishing it.
2 Secondly, if the EU bans UK lorry drivers who do not have a CPC then the UK should ban EU drivers who have not met UK driving licence requirements and qualified for a UK HGV licence. This will probably mean all cross channel goods being made in trailers which are picked up each side of the channel. Good! More work for UK lorry drivers. This also means that the UK could impose the maximum lorry size we had before joining the EU. This would reduce wear and tear on the roads and minimise huge lorries going through our cities.
There must be literally hundreds of other examples including the BBC ‘poll tax’ licence fee, climate change scam, House of Lords and Life Peers, ‘woke’ culture wasting police time etc., etc.
The problem is of course in getting the tax paying public to mass together and demand change. The only way is for a new party to take over government, but the number of new parties is preventing that from happening. They must combine together to create a force for change. Their performance in recent by-elections has been pitiful, even when their results are combined. What is needed is a recognition of the need for them to get together, combine forces and review their campaigning strategy, particularly to promote more benefits to taxpayers

VLAKPLAAS
A long-standing supporter has recently given us a copy of the book “Vlakplaas” by Robin Binckes (published by Pen and Sword Books Ltd., ISBN 978 1 526729 21 7). This book purports to tell the story of the operations of the counter-terrorism division of the South African Police during the final decade and a half of civilised rule in South Africa, when their main operating base was a farmstead called “Vlakplaas” in the south-western Transvaal.
Although written from a pro-terrorist perspective, this book gives a fascinating account of the tactics and operations employed by the SAP’s counter-terrorism division (subsequently named the Civil Cooperation Bureau or CCB), with its central character being Lt.Col. Eugene de Kock, who was Commander of the SAP’s counter-terrorism division from 1985 until the final days of the true South Africa in 1993. Lt.Col. de Kock was in reality a true hero of the South African nation and people and its struggle to maintain civilised standards, and was featured in the article “Top Policeman Framed” which appeared in edition No.33 of S.A.Patriot-in-Exile.
There are several facets of this book which make its complete veracity doubtful however. It is stated that Blacks could not own property or vote in South Africa during the days of civilised rule (they could, albeit only within their own group areas), it stated that the wretched Peter Hain was a Liberal MP in the UK when he was staging his anti-South African campaigns (he was never a Liberal MP – he was a Labour MP, but only after South Africa had fallen). There are furthermore great doubts about its claims that the SAP’s counter-terrorism division was responsible for the assassinations of both the NP’s candidate for Springs at the 1977 General Election Robert Smit and the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. Smit was almost certainly killed by a hit squad hired by a faction within the NP which included Dr.Nico Diedrichs who Smit had discovered were illegally transferring money out of the country into numbered Swiss bank accounts, and Palme was almost certainly killed by Kurdish militants.
In spite of these obvious flaws and falsehoods, the main thrust of this book has an air of truth and accuracy about it. The SAP’s counter-terrorism division and the CCB which it became was certainly very effective in accounting for the main controllers of ANC terrorist operations (who on the whole were White rather than Black), disrupting ANC activities overseas, and “turning” formed ANC minions into loyal citizens of the South African nation. By so doing they were actually winning South Africa’s War against Terrorism, and this War would undoubtedly have been won completely if there had been the political will to continue it to its conclusion.
Lt.Col. de Kock and all his other SAP and CCB colleagues were therefore great heroes of the South African struggle, and therefore deserve to be honoured and remembered, rather than being demonised, as this book wickedly tends to do. Perhaps the most telling revelation about the true worth and greatness of Lt.Col. de Kock comes at the end of the book however, when it tells how after he was disgustingly imprisoned by the ANC terrorist regime he was visited in jail by one of his former Koevoet (“turned” terrorist operatives) who brought his young son with him, and revealed that he had named him “Eugene de Kock” in honour of his former boss who he admired so much. This surely shows clearly that the operations of the SAP counter-terrorism division and the CCB were not aimed at Blacks per se, but at ANC terrorists, who were both Black and White!
Given all the unquestionable effectiveness of the SAP/CCB counter-terrorism operations throughout the 1980s it is therefore more dumbfounding than ever why the NP sell-outs – and more especially the naïve and cowardly White electorate – were prepared to surrender their country and the future well-being of their children to the ANC terrorists in the early 1990s!
