May 2014 edition
We have for long predicted that the European Union (EU) – or the Common Market as it was originally called – was doomed for failure. It grouped together proud and independent nation-states with long and different traditions and national characteristics, which furthermore possessed very similar – as opposed to complimentary – economies.
The imposition of the Euro single currency (in reality simply the Deutschmark writ large) only compounded the problem. The so-called “PIGS” of southern Europe have suffered tremendously by sacrificing control of their own economies, with Greece and Cyprus faring the worst. The resulting massive riots, unemployment and suicides have wrecked havoc to the very foundations and social fabric of these nations. Just because the international media seems to have lost interest in reporting the devastation suffered in these sorry countries doesn’t mean that the problems have gone away. Quite the reverse in fact. Only the Republic of Ireland somehow seems to have overcome the catastrophic problems wrought by adopting the Euro.
But there has been another more recent problem affecting all the nations of western Europe caused by the EU. The recent acceptance into membership of so many countries from beyond the former Iron Curtain, who because of decades of adherence to the nonsensical communist economic system now find themselves poverty-stricken, has meant that most of their people now wish to migrate west. No-one can surely blame these refugees from the disastrous results of failed communism for wishing to better themselves – but no-one also can surely blame the citizens of the western European nations for objecting to their countries being invaded by foreigners from the east.
This month’s Euro elections therefore seem likely to herald a massive upsurge in support for anti-EU parties throughout Europe. Many of these parties, alas, seem so extreme that we cannot possibly support them, but others – particularly UKIP in the UK – clearly do not fall into this category. There has, indeed, been a fair amount of criticism of UKIP for being “too liberal”, particularly because of their seemingly “knee-jerk” reaction to any allegation that they are a “racist” party. To reject UKIP on these grounds and to vote instead for a way-out fringe party we believe to be a big mistake. In this regard we ask everyone to remember how the HNP continued opposing the Conservative Party of South Africa throughout the 1980s claiming that it was not “pure enough”, with the end result being that the patriotic vote was hopelessly split and the sell-out National Party managed to cling onto power. It is to be hoped therefore that the same reprehensible scenario is not played out at this month’s Euro elections.
These forthcoming elections have all the hallmarks of being epoch-marking, and could well signal the beginning of the end for the entire EU edifice. We urge all supporters therefore to register their votes not necessarily for what they might consider the idealist party, but rather for the anti-EU party which has the most chance of obtaining significant success. We are not experts in the minutiae of party politics in continental Europe, but in the UK this can only possibly be UKIP. In spite of certain misgivings UKIP now seems to have it within their ability to achieve a dramatic national electoral breakthrough, and thereby to lead Britain out of the hated EU. We wish them well.

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
Although the turnout for the Springbok Club party who attended the London Scottish v. Bristol rugby match last month was smaller than expected, those who did attend certainly enjoyed a most memorable day. Bristol won this match by 55 points to 31, and after the game was over the Springbok Club party adjourned to a near-by hostelry for a most pleasant conclusion to the day.

The Springbok Club will be staging a special event to celebrate Empire Day 2014 on Saturday 24th May, the details of which are as follows :-
Congregate at Henry's Cafe-Bar, 80 Piccadilly, London W1J 8HX (adjacent to Green Park underground station) between 12.00 noon and 12.30 hrs.
Susan Gordon will then conduct a shortened version of her highly-acclaimed Art, Architecture and Social Interest walking tour through the St.James's area of London, focusing on the many colourful characters whose steps will be traced, particularly on the 1st Baron Clive (Clive of India) and other prominent personalities from the age of British Imperial expansion.
The party expects to reach The Old Star, 66 Broadway, London SW1H 0DB (adjacent to St.James's Park underground station) at approximately 14.00 hrs to 14.30 hrs, where an alcove table has been booked in the downstairs "vaults" area, and where a convivial and hopefully enlightening discussion will take place about some of the heroes of Empire, particularly Clive of India, whose steps have been traced.

In September the Springbok Club will be staging a meeting at which they will be welcoming a special guest speaker who has been involved with a large contract in the “new” South Africa for the past few months, who will be able to give a firsthand report about the true state of affairs presently prevailing in that country.

The Swinton Circle staged an informal but very informative meeting to celebrate St.George’s Day last month, at which the main talk focused upon the threat to English society posed by expansionist Islam.

He advised the late General Pinochet following his illegal arrest in London during 1998, and was lead council in the “Metric Martyrs” test case of 2000/02. He has represented US and Israeli intelligence officers and briefed staffers on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Joint Congressional inquiry into 9/11. He has assisted intelligence and law enforcement agencies in the global War on Terror, and was intelligence consultant to the BBC TV Spooks series. A member of the Royal United Services Institute and of the US Naval Institute, he is also an Honorary Life Member of the Bomber Command Association and a member of the M.C.C..

WORLD CUP EUPHORIA
It seems hardly possible that it is now almost four years since the problematic Soccer World Cup took place in South Africa. This tournament was of course marred by problems from beginning to end – unfinished stadia, rampant crimes committed against both players and spectators, inadequate transport infrastructure etc., etc. - but still FIFA pig-headedly went ahead with the competition in such a woefully unsuitable third world country.
This year’s tournament will of course take place in Brazil – a second world country, where the problems which bedeviled the 2010 finals in South Africa will undoubtedly be nowhere near as bad. In spite of this fact, however, there seems to be a concerted international leftist media campaign to decry this year’s competition in Brazil – with often exactly the same people who were so keen to support the 2010 tournament in South Africa and to overlook all the fundamental inadequacies involved, now being eager to run-down Brazil’s preparations at every opportunity.
It is not only the international leftist media who are trying to sabotage the 2014 Soccer World Cup however. There have also been left-wing street demonstrations in many Brazilian cities against the tournament complaining about the “costs involved” and how the money could be “better spent” on social projects. These nincompoops seem very similar to the left-wing neanderthals who complained about the “costs involved” at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, although it is now universally recognized (except for a certain Mr.A Kimber of Sutton) that the 2012 Games brought an economic bonanza to the UK, and were the most decisive factor which enabled he UK to become the first western nation to come out of recession!
We believe that Brazil is well on course to stage a spectacular and memorable Soccer World Cup this year, in spite of all the leftist opposition. We stated after the culmination of the best-forgotten disastrous South African finals in 2010 that we couldn’t wait for the next tournament in Brazil – and that is still our same position today. Viva Brazil!
[ N.B. It is very interesting to note that in spite of hosting the 2010 competition as allegedly the leading African soccer nation, South Africa haven’t even qualified for the 2014 finals! ]

THE WARTHOG’S TUSK

No.186 : Mr. GRAHAM EVANS of Cardiff
Graham Evens was instrumental in establishing the “Friends of the Springbok” organization (subsequently the Friendship International Group) with fellow Welsh rugby enthusiast Stuart Weaving during the early 1970s. There were disagreements between the two however, and Graham Evans left to found his rival “British Southern Africa Association” during the mid-1970s. Alas this venture did not prove a success however, and nothing was heard of Graham Evans, who lived in Cardiff and was a property-owner and part-time wedding car driver, thereafter. It would however be very interesting to learn what became of him.

ROGUES GALLERY
Long-standing readers will no doubt remember the severe problems which the Swinton Circle encountered in 2008 when the erstwhile Organiser of the organisation, Allan Robertson, attempted to stage a “coup” in order to remove the democratically elected committee and to re-admit a small clique of trouble-making neo-fascists who had earlier been barred from attending meetings.
In total three conspirators were expelled from the organization following a fully constitutional Emergency General Meeting of the Swinton Circle held on 17th January 2009. Apart from Robertson himself one of his two sycophants who was also expelled was a certain Daniel Wilkinson, who one committee member subsequently nicknamed “Little Child” because of the infantile manner in which he initially tried to curry favour with both the committee and Robertson.
It was actually a great surprise that Wilkinson sucked-up to Robertson at the time of this crisis as he always previously gave every impression of being a loyal and affable member of the organization, and indeed his betrayal was probably even more dumbfounding than that of Robertson himself.
Robertson went into complete denial after his expulsion, and pathetically tried to found a rival organization, though his only support seemed to come from his fellow expellees and the neo-fascist clique who had earlier been barred. The Swinton Circle committee initially considered taking legal action against him for this deception, but alas as it transpired that he was a man of extremely limited financial means this did not prove financially viable. Although the meetings which he has tried to stage have been infrequent, they have even so featured a known Scottish Holocaust-denier on a regular annual basis, and more recently a former UKIP councillor who had been expelled from that party after making cranky and controversial remarks about the “cause” of the Somerset floods. As Robertson uses a title for his outfit which is very similar to the name of the Swinton Circle, this could therefore prove extremely embarrassing for the authentic Swinton Circle.
As no mention of Wilkinson’s name had been heard for some time it was believed – and indeed hoped – that he had come to his senses and had cut all ties with Robertson. Indeed preliminary discussions had taken place within the Swinton Circle committee about what action should be taken if he applied to re-join the organisation. More recently, however, has come the news that he is definitely still connected to Robertson, and in fact seems to be acting like his pet poodle and general dogsbody. More someone to be pitied than hated we therefore believe.

It was with great anger and outrage, though we must admit no great surprise, that we recently received a press release issued by Gaye Derby-Lewis, the wife of the controversially imprisoned South African Conservative politician Clive Derby-Lewis, which read as follows :-
“Clive Derby-Lewis and Janus Walus were attacked Wednesday February 26 at around midday in the Pretoria Central Prison by an inmate wielding a sharpened spoon. Both suffered severe head wounds. In addition, the inmate tried to stab Derby-Lewis in his face and to defend himself, Derby-Lewis’s left arm was so badly damaged that a bone was broken. There were multiple stab wounds, and his arm is now in plaster. Both the Department of Correctional Services and the Kalafong Hospital meted out excellent treatment to both Walus and Derby-Lewis – all we have to worry about now is infection which we believe the prison’s medical personnel are keeping under control.
“The facts of the case are now being investigated by the prison authorities but our comment is this: If the Communist Party and Advocate George Bizos hadn’t made it their business to thwart and oppose all of Clive’s parole applications, he wouldn’t have been in prison now. According to the law, Clive was due for parole in October 2008. He was RECOMMENDED for parole by DCS’s own parole board. He has applied for parole three times and EACH TIME Bizos and the Communist Party have come up with some cock and bull reason to oppose the parole. And each time Bizos has managed to manipulate the system so that Clive’s parole was refused.
“We are now in the process of taking legal action against the former DCS Minister who stated publicly that she would ‘never’ grant parole to Clive. Clearly politics is the reason why Clive is still in jail at the age of 78. And for someone like Bizos whose clarion cry is justice for all, it is something of a travesty that he should be the reason why justice is NOT for all, particularly with regard to Clive Derby-Lewis.
“We await the results of the Department of Correctional Service’s findings about the attack. But the key question that should be asked by all who believe in justice is: why should the SA Communist Party and George Bizos be able to thwart justice to suit their political ends? That is the question for South Africa.
“If Clive had been killed in the attack, where would that put the SACP and George Bizos? It is question they should ask themselves. Does South Africa need a political martyr at this stage of its political history?”.
As we have stated often in the past, although it is indisputable that Janus Walus pulled the trigger which eliminated the terrorist leader Chris Hani, there was not a scintilla of evidence produced in court which would have convicted Clive Derby-Lewis had the trial taken place in any Western nation. All that the “evidence” against him consisted of was the fact that he knew Walus, that Walus had ‘phoned him after the deed to boast about having done it – and a sinister alleged “hit-list” of names and addresses which was mysteriously found at his home. This listing had evidently been drawn up by a certain Arthur Kemp, who was initially also charged with the murder, but who subsequently turned State’s Witness and testified for the prosecution. (It should also be remembered in this regard that “The Mail & Guardian” of February 18th 1997 revealed that Kemp was an “informant” for the new South African security services, something which was subsequently confirmed and expended upon by his first wife on various Internet forums).
Clive Derby-Lewis has now been incarcerated since 1993, in conditions which – as this recent hellish attack has confirmed – are the epitome of the worst of third world jails. He should of course never have been imprisoned for one day, but the ANC terrorists and their sellout NP poodles realized just how dangerous his charismatic oratory and incisive political analysis was, so he therefore simply had to be silenced. The big question is, however, why now that the ANC have long since consolidated power and therefore no longer have anything to fear from him, they still insist that he remains behind bars? Is it just out of sheer spite, or are they eager to ensure that such a clear miscarriage of justice is never brought to light?
But who is responsible for this abomination whereby a great patriot and innocent man has now been locked away for over 20 years? “During that period, we received a phone call from Charara advising us that the party goers were once again teasing the elephants. We are not sure how many elephants were involved but they were apparently shot with a paint ball gun and 2 vehicles were damaged. We contacted KAWFT in Kariba and asked them to please check out the situation and ask the police to get involved. A while later, we received another phone call to say that the police went to Charara to warn the youngsters to leave the elephants alone so thanks very much to KAWFT and the police for preventing another tragedy from happening.

“Shortly after Christmas, a black rhino was shot at Midlands Conservancy and the horn was removed.
“The man suspected of being responsible for this atrocity was a worker at Bemthree Ranch who was recently fired from his job.

ANTONIE CLAASSEN
During the recent Scotland v. France match in the 6-nations championship we were quite surprised to see Antonie Claassen, the son of the great former Springbok Rugby captain Wynand Claassen, come on as a replacement. We of course remember Wynand Claassen well from the days when he played for Natal, and indeed recall seeing him often and socialising with him at Collegians Club in Durban during the 1980s. We remember also his small but active son running around and playing in the Clubhouse at the time – undoubtedly the infant Antonie Claassen! We believe that Wynand Claassen and his wife both had strong Huguenot ancestry, so the decision of Antonie Claassen to play for France rather than the “new” South Africa is simply loyalty to his ancestral roots. Like Tommoso Allan earlier during this year’s 6-nations tournament, Antonie Claassen has therefore turned his back on the disintegrating “new” South Africa and to pledge his future to the land of his ancestry. We wish them both well.

Very interesting comments by “South African Observer” concerning Thinkers’ Library [March SCN – Ed.]. One thing he or she didn’t mention was Thinkers’ Library’s involvement with a tour of South Africa by the quack historian David Irving. I was young at the time and didn’t know anything about Irving then, but I was a history student and had studied Churchill in depth, so seeing that Thinkers’ Library was advertising a meeting in Durban to be addressed by Irving on a book he’d written about Churchill I went along. Quite naturally, as Irving was apparently a British historian, I – and I think probably most other people in attendance – thought that it would be in praise of the great man. Instead he simply ran Churchill down, and by all accounts the book was simply an ignorant diatribe against him. The meeting ended in a near riot.

OBITUARY
JOHN WILKINSON
John Wilkinson, who sadly died earlier this month, was a diligent Conservative MP and a true patriot. The son of an Eton housemaster, he was educated at that school and then at the RAF College, Cranwell. Commissioned into the RAF in 1961, he took a brief sabbatical from the service in order to read modern history at Churchill College. He finally left the RAF in 1967 and immediately embarked upon a new career in politics, joining Conservative Central Office as an aviation research specialist.
He entered Parliament first in 1970 as Conservative MP for Bradford West, but after losing this seat in 1974 re-entered Parliament as MP for Ruislip-Northwood in 1979, a seat which he held until his retirement in 2005. He specialized on defence matters in Parliament, serving variously as PPS to Defence Secretary John Nott and on both the Defence Select Committee and the Conservative Defence Committee. He was scathing in his criticisms of defence cuts and inefficient defence spending, and warned forthrightly against weakness in the face of Soviet threats during the Cold War. It was at the time of the Falklands War when John Wilkinson played his (up to then) most important role in national life however, for as PPS to the increasingly out-of-his-depth John Nott his expertise and backbone played a pivotal role in ensuring triumph in this conflict.
Although initially blind to the insidious dangers posed to the British nation by the EU, John Wilkinson’s eyes were opened by his experiences of the reality of the situation in Parliament. Once convinced he became a brave and defiant opponent of increased European integration, and as such became one of the nine courageous “Maastricht Rebels” who defied John Major and thereby had the Conservative Whip withdrawn for five months. This bold action, in retrospect, can be seen to have kick-started the EuroSceptic movement.
John Wilkinson spoke on several occasions to the Swinton Circle and was always well-received. Although on one occasion his apparent opposition to British military intervention in Sierra Leone was questioned he replied by saying that he thought that Britain’s then limited military resources should be better used by intervening in Zimbabwe. He would never forget faces from Swinton Circle meetings, and during subsequent pleasant social contacts would display his keen interest in cricket.
All the time that the British nation can produce men like John Wilkinson we have nothing to worry about for the future. Our sincerest condolences are extended to his widow Cecilia and to his two children.

It was with great anger and outrage, though we must admit no great surprise, that we recently received a press release issued by Gaye Derby-Lewis, the wife of the controversially imprisoned South African Conservative politician Clive Derby-Lewis, which read as follows :-
“Clive Derby-Lewis and Janus Walus were attacked Wednesday February 26 at around midday in the Pretoria Central Prison by an inmate wielding a sharpened spoon. Both suffered severe head wounds. In addition, the inmate tried to stab Derby-Lewis in his face and to defend himself, Derby-Lewis’s left arm was so badly damaged that a bone was broken. There were multiple stab wounds, and his arm is now in plaster. Both the Department of Correctional Services and the Kalafong Hospital meted out excellent treatment to both Walus and Derby-Lewis – all we have to worry about now is infection which we believe the prison’s medical personnel are keeping under control.
“The facts of the case are now being investigated by the prison authorities but our comment is this: If the Communist Party and Advocate George Bizos hadn’t made it their business to thwart and oppose all of Clive’s parole applications, he wouldn’t have been in prison now. According to the law, Clive was due for parole in October 2008. He was RECOMMENDED for parole by DCS’s own parole board. He has applied for parole three times and EACH TIME Bizos and the Communist Party have come up with some cock and bull reason to oppose the parole. And each time Bizos has managed to manipulate the system so that Clive’s parole was refused.
“We are now in the process of taking legal action against the former DCS Minister who stated publicly that she would ‘never’ grant parole to Clive. Clearly politics is the reason why Clive is still in jail at the age of 78. And for someone like Bizos whose clarion cry is justice for all, it is something of a travesty that he should be the reason why justice is NOT for all, particularly with regard to Clive Derby-Lewis.
“We await the results of the Department of Correctional Service’s findings about the attack. But the key question that should be asked by all who believe in justice is: why should the SA Communist Party and George Bizos be able to thwart justice to suit their political ends? That is the question for South Africa.
“If Clive had been killed in the attack, where would that put the SACP and George Bizos? It is question they should ask themselves. Does South Africa need a political martyr at this stage of its political history?”.
As we have stated often in the past, although it is indisputable that Janus Walus pulled the trigger which eliminated the terrorist leader Chris Hani, there was not a scintilla of evidence produced in court which would have convicted Clive Derby-Lewis had the trial taken place in any Western nation. All that the “evidence” against him consisted of was the fact that he knew Walus, that Walus had ‘phoned him after the deed to boast about having done it – and a sinister alleged “hit-list” of names and addresses which was mysteriously found at his home. This listing had evidently been drawn up by a certain Arthur Kemp, who was initially also charged with the murder, but who subsequently turned State’s Witness and testified for the prosecution. (It should also be remembered in this regard that “The Mail & Guardian” of February 18th 1997 revealed that Kemp was an “informant” for the new South African security services, something which was subsequently confirmed and expended upon by his first wife on various Internet forums).
Clive Derby-Lewis has now been incarcerated since 1993, in conditions which – as this recent hellish attack has confirmed – are the epitome of the worst of third world jails. He should of course never have been imprisoned for one day, but the ANC terrorists and their sellout NP poodles realized just how dangerous his charismatic oratory and incisive political analysis was, so he therefore simply had to be silenced. The big question is, however, why now that the ANC have long since consolidated power and therefore no longer have anything to fear from him, they still insist that he remains behind bars? Is it just out of sheer spite, or are they eager to ensure that such a clear miscarriage of justice is never brought to light?
But who is responsible for this abomination whereby a great patriot and innocent man has now been locked away for over 20 years? REPORT FROM THE ZIMBABWE CONSERVATION TASK FORCE
January’s report from the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force (ZCTF) reads as follows :-
“NEW YEAR'S PARTY IN CHARARA
“Despite all our previous attempts to put a stop to this party, it took place as usual. It lasted for 3 nights of continuous loud disco music.
“During that period, we received a phone call from Charara advising us that the party goers were once again teasing the elephants. We are not sure how many elephants were involved but they were apparently shot with a paint ball gun and 2 vehicles were damaged. We contacted KAWFT in Kariba and asked them to please check out the situation and ask the police to get involved. A while later, we received another phone call to say that the police went to Charara to warn the youngsters to leave the elephants alone so thanks very much to KAWFT and the police for preventing another tragedy from happening.

“Shortly after Christmas, a black rhino was shot at Midlands Conservancy and the horn was removed.
“The man suspected of being responsible for this atrocity was a worker at Bemthree Ranch who was recently fired from his job.
“2 ELEPHANTS SHOT IN MATUSADONA
“Some holiday makers over the Christmas period saw the remains of 2 elephants that had been shot between Spurwing and Palm Bay. The tusks had been removed.”

ANTONIE CLAASSEN
During the recent Scotland v. France match in the 6-nations championship we were quite surprised to see Antonie Claassen, the son of the great former Springbok Rugby captain Wynand Claassen, come on as a replacement. We of course remember Wynand Claassen well from the days when he played for Natal, and indeed recall seeing him often and socialising with him at Collegians Club in Durban during the 1980s. We remember also his small but active son running around and playing in the Clubhouse at the time – undoubtedly the infant Antonie Claassen! We believe that Wynand Claassen and his wife both had strong Huguenot ancestry, so the decision of Antonie Claassen to play for France rather than the “new” South Africa is simply loyalty to his ancestral roots. Like Tommoso Allan earlier during this year’s 6-nations tournament, Antonie Claassen has therefore turned his back on the disintegrating “new” South Africa and to pledge his future to the land of his ancestry. We wish them both well.

Engela Nortje was the widow of Johan Nortje, the great Durban patriotic activist who tragically died following a botched hernia operation in 1999 at an appallingly young age. They had twin children, still only young at the time, named Johan jnr. and Engela jnr., but alas nothing has been heard from any them since the tragedy. It would however be nice to learn what became of them.

With the passing of Mandela, albeit half a century overdue, I’ve been asked by a few friends and colleagues to show them examples of the atrocities that he (and other ANC people) have committed over the years. Any documents, photos, URL links, etc. that you can you let me have would be appreciated.
It got to a rather sad point a few weeks ago when an ex-pat vicar at the church to which we used to go prayed for Mandela’s recovery. You think he would’ve known better! Suffice to say we no longer worship there.

Very interesting comments by “South African Observer” concerning Thinkers’ Library [March SCN – Ed.]. One thing he or she didn’t mention was Thinkers’ Library’s involvement with a tour of South Africa by the quack historian David Irving. I was young at the time and didn’t know anything about Irving then, but I was a history student and had studied Churchill in depth, so seeing that Thinkers’ Library was advertising a meeting in Durban to be addressed by Irving on a book he’d written about Churchill I went along. Quite naturally, as Irving was apparently a British historian, I – and I think probably most other people in attendance – thought that it would be in praise of the great man. Instead he simply ran Churchill down, and by all accounts the book was simply an ignorant diatribe against him. The meeting ended in a near riot.

OBITUARY
JOHN WILKINSON
John Wilkinson, who sadly died earlier this month, was a diligent Conservative MP and a true patriot. The son of an Eton housemaster, he was educated at that school and then at the RAF College, Cranwell. Commissioned into the RAF in 1961, he took a brief sabbatical from the service in order to read modern history at Churchill College. He finally left the RAF in 1967 and immediately embarked upon a new career in politics, joining Conservative Central Office as an aviation research specialist.
He entered Parliament first in 1970 as Conservative MP for Bradford West, but after losing this seat in 1974 re-entered Parliament as MP for Ruislip-Northwood in 1979, a seat which he held until his retirement in 2005. He specialized on defence matters in Parliament, serving variously as PPS to Defence Secretary John Nott and on both the Defence Select Committee and the Conservative Defence Committee. He was scathing in his criticisms of defence cuts and inefficient defence spending, and warned forthrightly against weakness in the face of Soviet threats during the Cold War. It was at the time of the Falklands War when John Wilkinson played his (up to then) most important role in national life however, for as PPS to the increasingly out-of-his-depth John Nott his expertise and backbone played a pivotal role in ensuring triumph in this conflict.
Although initially blind to the insidious dangers posed to the British nation by the EU, John Wilkinson’s eyes were opened by his experiences of the reality of the situation in Parliament. Once convinced he became a brave and defiant opponent of increased European integration, and as such became one of the nine courageous “Maastricht Rebels” who defied John Major and thereby had the Conservative Whip withdrawn for five months. This bold action, in retrospect, can be seen to have kick-started the EuroSceptic movement.
John Wilkinson spoke on several occasions to the Swinton Circle and was always well-received. Although on one occasion his apparent opposition to British military intervention in Sierra Leone was questioned he replied by saying that he thought that Britain’s then limited military resources should be better used by intervening in Zimbabwe. He would never forget faces from Swinton Circle meetings, and during subsequent pleasant social contacts would display his keen interest in cricket.
All the time that the British nation can produce men like John Wilkinson we have nothing to worry about for the future. Our sincerest condolences are extended to his widow Cecilia and to his two children.

A supporter has recently sent us a highly revealing report from the Irish Political Review of January 2014. In this report, written by Manus O’Riordan, he states inter alia:-
“Kader Asmal was South Africa’s Minister of Education on the occasion of our last meeting in May 2006, when he and Louise hot-footed it from Dublin Airport to spend the afternoon with the O’Riordan family on the day of my father’s funeral. There was, however, one Asmal-O’Riordan secret that my father had taken to the grave with him, and Kader certainly did not divulge it to any of us on that day. Indeed, it was only after Kader’s own funeral – five years later – that their secret was first published in his memoirs, in Chapter 3 on Ireland:
“’The 1980s opened with a spectacular coup de main against one of South Africa’s most strategic installations (which) did involve an Irish connection, a fact that till now has not been public knowledge. In the late 1970s I was asked if it was possible to arrange military training for some MK {ANC terrorists] combatants. I wanted very much to undertake this task, but it was a delicate one because it would of necessity involve the IRA. I went to see the general secretary of the Communist Party of Ireland, Michael O’Riordan, who was a man of great integrity [sic] and whom I trusted to keep secret the information at his disposal. He in turn contacted Gerry Adams of Sinn Féin, and it was arranged that two military experts would come to Dublin to meet two MK personnel and take them to a safe place for two weeks of intensive training. Later we did arrange a successful meeting, the training was conducted, and I believe the expertise the MK cadres obtained was duly imparted to others in the ANC camps in Angola. Then on 1 June 1980 South Africa was shocked by one of the most daring [sic] and audacious acts of military [sic] insurgency in the struggle against apartheid. On that day the country’s major oil refinery plant in the town of Sasolburg was bombed by explosives. Black smoke billowed over the Highveld. Every newspaper and television station carried pictures, footage and stories of the attack. The propaganda value and its effect on the morale of the liberation movement [sic] were inestimable. I had again been approached by the MK High Command who wanted us to find two people to conduct a reconnaissance operation and report back on the feasibility of attacking Sasol, South Africa’s major oil refinery, vital to the maintenance of the apartheid state [sic]. Once again I arranged the task with Gerry Adams of Sinn Féin through the intermediation of Michael O’Riordan. They laid the ground for one of the most dramatic operations carried out by MK personnel. Some months after we’d set arrangements in place Louise rang me at work to say that I must come home immediately. I excused myself from an important academic meeting at Trinity College and drove as fast as I could in the Dublin traffic. There on the television was the extraordinary spectacle of Sasol in flames, lighting up the sky for miles around. We cheered and felt we had made a major contribution to the struggle. It was a huge morale booster, and must have been the same in South Africa. It was evident that the regime [sic] had suffered a demonstrable loss and embarrassment. Yet only Louise and I knew (plus, of course, O’Riordan and Adams – MO’R) that the attack on Sasolburg was the result of reconnaissance carried out by members of the IRA.’
“Mandela fully approved of Asmal’s revelations in Politics in My Blood, and penned an appreciation of Kader as a forward to that book. His debt to Adams was, in turn, repaid by his inclusion in the Mandela guard of honour this December 14th.”
So there we have it, straight from the horse’s mouth. It has been known for some time, of course, that the Ellis Park car bombing in 1988 was a direct operation carried out by IRA operatives, but never before has the full extent of IRA involvement in ANC terrorism in South Africa been revealed. Not only this, but the fact that the SF/IRA terrorist leader Gerry Adams was given the “honour” of being in the guard of honour at Mandela’s funeral (something sinisterly ignored by most of the international media at the time) shows just how close ANC/IRA links have been.
There are two important factors which must be emphasized as a result of these revelations. 1) That international terrorist organizations co-operated closely throughout the era of the Cold War, and that liaison between them seems to have been coordinated by the international Communist movement (witness the fact that Michael O’Riordan was general secretary of the Communist Party of Ireland), and 2) that the ANC themselves were probably the most ineffective international terrorist organization, and relied upon assistance from elsewhere in order to carry out their “spectaculars”.
Given these factors, the fact that the NP government decided to surrender to ineffective ANC terrorism at the very time when the entire evil empire of Soviet Communism was collapsing is even more inexplicable and reprehensible. Had a counter-coordinated Western War Against Terror, similar to that initiated during the 2000s, been conducted during the 1980s then in all probability South Africa would not have been allowed to fall to the ANC terrorists. All that of course is history now, but what we should be looking towards today is a re-vigourated Western War Against Terror, and this will mean the Western powers taking steps to remove that ANC terrorists now ensconced in power, who undoubtedly are not only re-paying favours to the IRA, but are also harbouring and bankrolling many of the Islamic/Palestinian terrorist movements causing havoc around the globe..

The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club organized a most enjoyable trip to Rochester earlier this month. The highlight of this event was a visit to the historic Rochester Guildhall Museum, whereat Springbok Club member Gary Vincent, who is an expert on Royal Navy history, gave a fascinating illustrated talk about the lives and careers of Admirals Sir Cloudesley Shovell and Sir John Leake, both of whom served as MPs for Rochester at various times, and whose portraits and other artifacts are housed in the Guildhall Museum.

On Saturday 26th April the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to a top Rugby match with special significance in south-west London. Full details will be given in next month’s SCN.

Edward Spalton was a corn merchant and animal feed miller, supplying the livestock industry. In 1981 he started his own company making appetite stimulants and feed flavours for farm animals and domestic pets. He has now retired from business. Initially favourable to the idea of European togetherness, his experience of the Common Agricultural Policy led him to question the bona fides of the whole EU project. Digging deeper into legal, foreign policy and defence integration convinced him of the fundamentally anti-democratic, authoritarian nature of the EU. He became a member of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) in 1994 and stood as a candidate for the East Midlands to the European Parliament in 1999. He also stood in the 2005 General Election in South Derbyshire as a candidate for Veritas “because I have always voted at elections and there is nobody else standing whom I can support”. He is not now a member of any political party and campaigns for British independence on a cross-party basis. He is particularly interested in Eastern European and Balkan affairs and is a member of the Lord Byron Foundation for Balkan Studies, and is Honorary Secretary of the cross-party Campaign for an Independent Britain (CIB).
The CIB is a long established cross-party group which has existed since the late Sixties. The affiliate organisations are Labour Euro Safeguards Campaign, Conservatives Against a Federal Europe, Get Britain Out (originally the Anti-Common Market League) and the Freedom Association. Members of UKIP serve on its national committee. It exists by members' subscriptions and public donations, with the support of patrons from both Houses of Parliament, as well as eminent economists and business people. It is an umbrella organisation, in competition with nobody but the EU. It aims to become a catalyst and force multiplier for the independence movement, bringing activists and organisations together for the long haul.

As unfortunately New Britain has had to cancel its planned St.George’s Day celebration on St.George’s Day itself, the Swinton Circle has stepped into the breach, and will be holding a special meeting on that day (Wednesday 23rd April) in central London, at which there will be special musical entertainment as well as a speech on the threats to England today being posed by expansionist Islam. NEW BRITAIN NEWS
Unfortunately New Britain’s planned events to celebrate St.David’s Day, Commonwealth Day and St.Patrick’s Day all had to be cancelled for reasons beyond the organisation’s control, and the planned Keep the United Kingdom United Rally has now been postponed until September. It is however hoped that New Britain will be celebrating St.George’s Day with a special event featuring a 15-member professional choir and a children’s fancy dress competition on Saturday 26th April in the City of London. Further details will hopefully be given in next month’s SCN.

SANWILD LION FEEDING APPEAL
We have recently received the following appeal from the SanWild Wildlife Trust :-
“Please do spare a thought for the SanWild lions today, rescued many years ago in 2003/2004 from South Africa's sordid canned lion hunting industry. Although we unfortunately do not have enough land to set them all free, they have lived in their respective prides in large natural habitat enclosures. - The BBC, financed by and promoting the EU today, pursued a policy of appeasement of Fascism in the 1930s, keeping Churchill off the air while the BBC’s Head in the 1930s and 1940s was an admirer of Hitler.
- The first president of the European Commission Walter Hallstein was a leading Nazi academic and had been trained as a “Nazi Leadership Officer”.
- Adenauer’s Chief of Staff in the 1950s, Hans Josef Globke, who made his senior appointments, had drafted the Nuremberg Race laws and the emergency legislation which gave Hitler absolute power in the 1930s.
- The Hitler appointed Secretary of his "Europe Committee", was chosen by Adenauer in 1949 for a similar job as Director of the "European Division" of the West German Foreign Office leading the negotiations for founding the European Economic Community in 1958.
- Several Nazi institutions like the Toepfer Foundation, the Federation of European Ethnic Groups and the Charlemagne Prize carry on even today.
Atkinson quotes many late 20th century founders and promoters of the European Union to prove that their words would have equally reflected the ideology of the Fascist Europe of the 1940s :-
“Might is right in politics and war”, "Those who take a position against Maastricht will no longer have the right to engage in politics" “The Jews should consider whether they would have behaved heroically if they had not been victims of the persecution”. “Germans are tired of philosemitic over-compensation in the media”. "Genocide is a natural phenomenon, even commanded by the Almighty".
He describes how the rise of State and corporatist power over enterprise capitalism and democracy and the appeasement of multinational companies and political institutions by national Governments removed democratic power from the people and prepared the way for a new corporatist fascist European Union.
The Euro was a political idea forged by many who expected economic collapse as a direct route to more power for the European Union over nation states – a surrender which voters would never have contemplated without such a collapse.
Throughout the creation of the corporatist fascist European Union, says Atkinson, the voters were ignored, manipulated or deceived into the surrender of their precious democratic rights and their countries were bled of their sovereignty and - through the Euro – their economic existence. The European Union’s share of world trade has fallen dramatically, welfare systems have collapsed, suicides have risen and a whole generation of young people (unemployment rates of between 30% and 55%) has been betrayed by an unaccountable European elite.
No area of Europe better proves the return to the violence and fascism of the past than what the new Europe has done in Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia and Atkinson devotes several chapters to proving the resurgence of Nazi and Fascist ideas and institutions in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo.
The vast majority of the EU’s population, says Atkinson, entirely reject the “European project” but, because it was established on anti-democratic principles it is almost impossible to overturn by normal democratic means. The Euro-elite are able to continue their destruction of parliaments, constitutions, economies, welfare, education, health services (“more Europe”) – until there remains to the peoples of Europe only increasingly violent confrontations.
The book proposes the alternative to the democratic and economic disaster of the European Union – The Charter of the Free Nations of Europe, supported by academics from all over Europe.

Following the highly successful London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, post boxes in all the home towns of British competitors who won gold medals were painted gold in their honour. It was reasonable to expect therefore that post boxes in the home towns of gold medal winning competitors in this year’s Sochi Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games would also be accorded the same honour – but alas this has not turned out to be the case. Sir,
Regarding Thinkers’ Library (see January 2014 SCN – Ed.), the business definitely did seem to go out of existence about a decade ago. I met Frank ------ * on a few occasions when he visited Durban, and he was certainly a very charismatic and intelligent character. The books he stocked were an eclectic lot, but I decided not to purchase anything from him when I became aware that they included many advancing wacko conspiracy theories, and even worse holocaust denial. I also knew his Durban agent, Brian Kemper, who also disappeared many years go. Brian Kemper clearly had mental health and alcohol problems (probably related?), and was known to “spike” the drinks of those he was socializing with who didn’t agree with his holocaust denial theories. I don’t know whether they both saw through all the holocaust denial nonsense and that this was why they disappeared from the scene. I doubt whether this was the case with Brian Kemper, but I hope it was the reason with Frank. He was a nice chap.

OBITUARY
NICK LAMPRECHT
It was much sadness that we recently learnt of the death of Nick Lamprecht. Nick grew up in Johannesburg and became a keen and very successful amateur boxer during his youth. He fought in the South African qualification competition for the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games at Flyweight, when he opposed Willie Toweel in the final. Toweel won a controversial decision after Nick had tripped on his shoelace and the referee mistakenly stopped the bout as a result. Willie Toweel went on to win a Bronze Medal for South Africa at the Helsinki Olympics.
Later Nick Lamprecht moved to Durban where he played soccer in goal for Durban City, and also ran the Comrades Marathon twice, winning silver medals on both occasions. He worked in the building trade at this time, and was heavily involved with major building work at both Glenwood High School and the Royal Hotel. He subsequently became a building inspector employed by the Durban City Council, and passed approximately 500,000 houses and 200 schools in the Black townships during the final days of civilized rule.
Our sincere sympathies are extended to his nephew Nicky Lamprecht, and to the rest of his family.

A supporter has recently sent us a highly revealing report from the Irish Political Review of January 2014. In this report, written by Manus O’Riordan, he states inter alia:-
“Kader Asmal was South Africa’s Minister of Education on the occasion of our last meeting in May 2006, when he and Louise hot-footed it from Dublin Airport to spend the afternoon with the O’Riordan family on the day of my father’s funeral. There was, however, one Asmal-O’Riordan secret that my father had taken to the grave with him, and Kader certainly did not divulge it to any of us on that day. Indeed, it was only after Kader’s own funeral – five years later – that their secret was first published in his memoirs, in Chapter 3 on Ireland:
“’The 1980s opened with a spectacular coup de main against one of South Africa’s most strategic installations (which) did involve an Irish connection, a fact that till now has not been public knowledge. In the late 1970s I was asked if it was possible to arrange military training for some MK {ANC terrorists] combatants. I wanted very much to undertake this task, but it was a delicate one because it would of necessity involve the IRA. I went to see the general secretary of the Communist Party of Ireland, Michael O’Riordan, who was a man of great integrity [sic] and whom I trusted to keep secret the information at his disposal. He in turn contacted Gerry Adams of Sinn Féin, and it was arranged that two military experts would come to Dublin to meet two MK personnel and take them to a safe place for two weeks of intensive training. Later we did arrange a successful meeting, the training was conducted, and I believe the expertise the MK cadres obtained was duly imparted to others in the ANC camps in Angola. Then on 1 June 1980 South Africa was shocked by one of the most daring [sic] and audacious acts of military [sic] insurgency in the struggle against apartheid. On that day the country’s major oil refinery plant in the town of Sasolburg was bombed by explosives. Black smoke billowed over the Highveld. Every newspaper and television station carried pictures, footage and stories of the attack. The propaganda value and its effect on the morale of the liberation movement [sic] were inestimable. I had again been approached by the MK High Command who wanted us to find two people to conduct a reconnaissance operation and report back on the feasibility of attacking Sasol, South Africa’s major oil refinery, vital to the maintenance of the apartheid state [sic]. Once again I arranged the task with Gerry Adams of Sinn Féin through the intermediation of Michael O’Riordan. They laid the ground for one of the most dramatic operations carried out by MK personnel. Some months after we’d set arrangements in place Louise rang me at work to say that I must come home immediately. I excused myself from an important academic meeting at Trinity College and drove as fast as I could in the Dublin traffic. There on the television was the extraordinary spectacle of Sasol in flames, lighting up the sky for miles around. We cheered and felt we had made a major contribution to the struggle. It was a huge morale booster, and must have been the same in South Africa. It was evident that the regime [sic] had suffered a demonstrable loss and embarrassment. Yet only Louise and I knew (plus, of course, O’Riordan and Adams – MO’R) that the attack on Sasolburg was the result of reconnaissance carried out by members of the IRA.’
“Mandela fully approved of Asmal’s revelations in Politics in My Blood, and penned an appreciation of Kader as a forward to that book. His debt to Adams was, in turn, repaid by his inclusion in the Mandela guard of honour this December 14th.”
So there we have it, straight from the horse’s mouth. It has been known for some time, of course, that the Ellis Park car bombing in 1988 was a direct operation carried out by IRA operatives, but never before has the full extent of IRA involvement in ANC terrorism in South Africa been revealed. Not only this, but the fact that the SF/IRA terrorist leader Gerry Adams was given the “honour” of being in the guard of honour at Mandela’s funeral (something sinisterly ignored by most of the international media at the time) shows just how close ANC/IRA links have been.
There are two important factors which must be emphasized as a result of these revelations. 1) That international terrorist organizations co-operated closely throughout the era of the Cold War, and that liaison between them seems to have been coordinated by the international Communist movement (witness the fact that Michael O’Riordan was general secretary of the Communist Party of Ireland), and 2) that the ANC themselves were probably the most ineffective international terrorist organization, and relied upon assistance from elsewhere in order to carry out their “spectaculars”.
Given these factors, the fact that the NP government decided to surrender to ineffective ANC terrorism at the very time when the entire evil empire of Soviet Communism was collapsing is even more inexplicable and reprehensible. Had a counter-coordinated Western War Against Terror, similar to that initiated during the 2000s, been conducted during the 1980s then in all probability South Africa would not have been allowed to fall to the ANC terrorists. All that of course is history now, but what we should be looking towards today is a re-vigourated Western War Against Terror, and this will mean the Western powers taking steps to remove that ANC terrorists now ensconced in power, who undoubtedly are not only re-paying favours to the IRA, but are also harbouring and bankrolling many of the Islamic/Palestinian terrorist movements causing havoc around the globe..

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club organized a most enjoyable trip to Rochester earlier this month. The highlight of this event was a visit to the historic Rochester Guildhall Museum, whereat Springbok Club member Gary Vincent, who is an expert on Royal Navy history, gave a fascinating illustrated talk about the lives and careers of Admirals Sir Cloudesley Shovell and Sir John Leake, both of whom served as MPs for Rochester at various times, and whose portraits and other artifacts are housed in the Guildhall Museum.

On Saturday 26th April the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to a top Rugby match with special significance in south-west London. Full details will be given in next month’s SCN.

Edward Spalton was a corn merchant and animal feed miller, supplying the livestock industry. In 1981 he started his own company making appetite stimulants and feed flavours for farm animals and domestic pets. He has now retired from business. Initially favourable to the idea of European togetherness, his experience of the Common Agricultural Policy led him to question the bona fides of the whole EU project. Digging deeper into legal, foreign policy and defence integration convinced him of the fundamentally anti-democratic, authoritarian nature of the EU. He became a member of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) in 1994 and stood as a candidate for the East Midlands to the European Parliament in 1999. He also stood in the 2005 General Election in South Derbyshire as a candidate for Veritas “because I have always voted at elections and there is nobody else standing whom I can support”. He is not now a member of any political party and campaigns for British independence on a cross-party basis. He is particularly interested in Eastern European and Balkan affairs and is a member of the Lord Byron Foundation for Balkan Studies, and is Honorary Secretary of the cross-party Campaign for an Independent Britain (CIB).
The CIB is a long established cross-party group which has existed since the late Sixties. The affiliate organisations are Labour Euro Safeguards Campaign, Conservatives Against a Federal Europe, Get Britain Out (originally the Anti-Common Market League) and the Freedom Association. Members of UKIP serve on its national committee. It exists by members' subscriptions and public donations, with the support of patrons from both Houses of Parliament, as well as eminent economists and business people. It is an umbrella organisation, in competition with nobody but the EU. It aims to become a catalyst and force multiplier for the independence movement, bringing activists and organisations together for the long haul.

As unfortunately New Britain has had to cancel its planned St.George’s Day celebration on St.George’s Day itself, the Swinton Circle has stepped into the breach, and will be holding a special meeting on that day (Wednesday 23rd April) in central London, at which there will be special musical entertainment as well as a speech on the threats to England today being posed by expansionist Islam. Full details will of course be given in next month’s SCN.

NEW BRITAIN NEWS
Unfortunately New Britain’s planned events to celebrate St.David’s Day, Commonwealth Day and St.Patrick’s Day all had to be cancelled for reasons beyond the organisation’s control, and the planned Keep the United Kingdom United Rally has now been postponed until September. It is however hoped that New Britain will be celebrating St.George’s Day with a special event featuring a 15-member professional choir and a children’s fancy dress competition on Saturday 26th April in the City of London. Further details will hopefully be given in next month’s SCN.

SANWILD LION FEEDING APPEAL
We have recently received the following appeal from the SanWild Wildlife Trust :-
“Please do spare a thought for the SanWild lions today, rescued many years ago in 2003/2004 from South Africa's sordid canned lion hunting industry. Although we unfortunately do not have enough land to set them all free, they have lived in their respective prides in large natural habitat enclosures. Those lionesses that arrived pregnant gave birth and raised their own cubs. Since then all the male lions have had vasectomies and no breeding is allowed.
”Feeding and caring for these lions remain one of our small charity's most costly overheads; however with the support of a handful of fantastic donors we have always managed to give our lions the care and love they deserve. This morning I would like to once again appeal for your generosity and help to raise the necessary funds to ensure we can continue to provide food and quality veterinary care if and when needed. We will be most appreciative of your support and kind donations.”

- The BBC, financed by and promoting the EU today, pursued a policy of appeasement of Fascism in the 1930s, keeping Churchill off the air while the BBC’s Head in the 1930s and 1940s was an admirer of Hitler.
- The first president of the European Commission Walter Hallstein was a leading Nazi academic and had been trained as a “Nazi Leadership Officer”.
- Adenauer’s Chief of Staff in the 1950s, Hans Josef Globke, who made his senior appointments, had drafted the Nuremberg Race laws and the emergency legislation which gave Hitler absolute power in the 1930s.
- The Hitler appointed Secretary of his "Europe Committee", was chosen by Adenauer in 1949 for a similar job as Director of the "European Division" of the West German Foreign Office leading the negotiations for founding the European Economic Community in 1958.
- Several Nazi institutions like the Toepfer Foundation, the Federation of European Ethnic Groups and the Charlemagne Prize carry on even today.
Atkinson quotes many late 20th century founders and promoters of the European Union to prove that their words would have equally reflected the ideology of the Fascist Europe of the 1940s :-
“Might is right in politics and war”, "Those who take a position against Maastricht will no longer have the right to engage in politics" “The Jews should consider whether they would have behaved heroically if they had not been victims of the persecution”. “Germans are tired of philosemitic over-compensation in the media”. "Genocide is a natural phenomenon, even commanded by the Almighty".
He describes how the rise of State and corporatist power over enterprise capitalism and democracy and the appeasement of multinational companies and political institutions by national Governments removed democratic power from the people and prepared the way for a new corporatist fascist European Union.
The Euro was a political idea forged by many who expected economic collapse as a direct route to more power for the European Union over nation states – a surrender which voters would never have contemplated without such a collapse.
Throughout the creation of the corporatist fascist European Union, says Atkinson, the voters were ignored, manipulated or deceived into the surrender of their precious democratic rights and their countries were bled of their sovereignty and - through the Euro – their economic existence. The European Union’s share of world trade has fallen dramatically, welfare systems have collapsed, suicides have risen and a whole generation of young people (unemployment rates of between 30% and 55%) has been betrayed by an unaccountable European elite.
No area of Europe better proves the return to the violence and fascism of the past than what the new Europe has done in Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia and Atkinson devotes several chapters to proving the resurgence of Nazi and Fascist ideas and institutions in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo.
The vast majority of the EU’s population, says Atkinson, entirely reject the “European project” but, because it was established on anti-democratic principles it is almost impossible to overturn by normal democratic means. The Euro-elite are able to continue their destruction of parliaments, constitutions, economies, welfare, education, health services (“more Europe”) – until there remains to the peoples of Europe only increasingly violent confrontations.
The book proposes the alternative to the democratic and economic disaster of the European Union – The Charter of the Free Nations of Europe, supported by academics from all over Europe.

Following the highly successful London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, post boxes in all the home towns of British competitors who won gold medals were painted gold in their honour. It was reasonable to expect therefore that post boxes in the home towns of gold medal winning competitors in this year’s Sochi Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games would also be accorded the same honour – but alas this has not turned out to be the case. Sir,
Regarding Thinkers’ Library (see January 2014 SCN – Ed.), the business definitely did seem to go out of existence about a decade ago. I met Frank ------ * on a few occasions when he visited Durban, and he was certainly a very charismatic and intelligent character. The books he stocked were an eclectic lot, but I decided not to purchase anything from him when I became aware that they included many advancing wacko conspiracy theories, and even worse holocaust denial. I also knew his Durban agent, Brian Kemper, who also disappeared many years go. Brian Kemper clearly had mental health and alcohol problems (probably related?), and was known to “spike” the drinks of those he was socializing with who didn’t agree with his holocaust denial theories. I don’t know whether they both saw through all the holocaust denial nonsense and that this was why they disappeared from the scene. I doubt whether this was the case with Brian Kemper, but I hope it was the reason with Frank. He was a nice chap.

OBITUARY
NICK LAMPRECHT
It was much sadness that we recently learnt of the death of Nick Lamprecht. Nick grew up in Johannesburg and became a keen and very successful amateur boxer during his youth. He fought in the South African qualification competition for the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games at Flyweight, when he opposed Willie Toweel in the final. Toweel won a controversial decision after Nick had tripped on his shoelace and the referee mistakenly stopped the bout as a result. Willie Toweel went on to win a Bronze Medal for South Africa at the Helsinki Olympics.
Later Nick Lamprecht moved to Durban where he played soccer in goal for Durban City, and also ran the Comrades Marathon twice, winning silver medals on both occasions. He worked in the building trade at this time, and was heavily involved with major building work at both Glenwood High School and the Royal Hotel. He subsequently became a building inspector employed by the Durban City Council, and passed approximately 500,000 houses and 200 schools in the Black townships during the final days of civilized rule.
Our sincere sympathies are extended to his nephew Nicky Lamprecht, and to the rest of his family.

It was widely rumoured, and indeed greatly expected, that the death and/or funeral of the ANC terrorist leader “Nelson” Mandela would be the signal for a mass pogrom of Whites in South Africa. The terrorist Mandela died at the end of last year, yet this sadistic apparent wish of his did not come to fruition as he had evidently planned. Why was this we wonder?
It was widely acknowledged in the international media that the wretched Mandela actually died several months prior to when his death was officially announced. The reason for this delay in confirming his death has been the subject of much speculation, with no uniformity of explanation being agreed upon. We believe that these two puzzles are connected however.
Apart from his corruption, lunatic assertion that taking showers can prevent AIDS, and the fact that like Mandela he was a convicted terrorist, it should also be remembered that Jacob Zuma, the current president of the “new” South Africa, is a Zulu - unlike most in the Xhosa-dominated ANC hierarchy. The Zulus have always been seen as a far more martial race than any other Black ethnic groups in southern Africa – and as a consequence have been far more authoritarian in the exercise of power. There has furthermore been a long tradition of respect by Zulus for the White man – provided, that is, that the White man has displayed strength. Could it be that the realities of power have made Zuma and his administration realize that a continued White presence was essential for the survival of their “new” South Africa, and as a result that the planned pogrom of Whites had to be prevented? Could it also be that Zuma’s authoritarian nature ensured that all instruments of state power were mobilized to prevent such a pogrom, and that the death of Mandela was therefore not announced until after such preventive measures had been put in place? If so then Zuma has proved to be an unlikely hero who has stymied Mandela’s bloodthirsty wish.
But the entire history of Black Africa shows that the most ruthless and bloodthirsty leader always rises to the top. How else did Mandela ever gain leadership of the ANC? Already Mandela’s ideological successor, Julius Malema, is flexing his muscles, being the most vocal and vitriolic critic of Zuma – indeed it was probably Malema more than anyone else who was orchestrating plans to fulfill his hero Mandela’s dream of a mass pogrom of Whites which Zuma’s administration eventually managed to prevent. Zuma himself is ruthless of course, as his ANC terrorist background confirms, and it wouldn’t surprise us in the least if he manages to eliminate his rival for power Malema in the near future. Malema does not stand alone however, as he has the weight of the ANC Youth League (now apparently operating under the title of the “Economic Freedom Fighters”) behind him, as well as the backing of Mandela’s second wife, “tyres and matches” Winnie. Even if Zuma is able to eliminate Malema another, perhaps even more ruthless, disciple of Mandela will undoubtedly rise to the surface from within these ranks, similarly hell-bent upon killing all Whites.
The Whites of South Africa may have obtained a stay of execution by Zuma’s unexpected moderation once in power, but the threat definitely hasn’t gone away. Our advice to all Whites still trapped in the “new” South Africa still remains the same therefore. Get out as soon as you can and by whatever means you can.

SPRINGBOK CLUB JANUARY ACTIVITIES
The Springbok Club staged its 2014 AGM at the end of January, which proved to be a most encouraging and successful event with a healthy turnout. Following reports from both the Organiser and the Treasurer for 2013, the current Executive Committee were then re-elected en bloc for 2014. A general discussion then took place concerning activities and ideas for growth during 2014, with a number of interesting suggestions decided upon. After the conclusion of the business side of affairs Mr. Dennis Delderfield outlined the spectacular itinerary of events being planned by New Britain for 2014, and it was observed that New Britain’s commitment to strengthening links with the Commonwealth realms (particularly Australia, New Zealand and Canada) dovetailed very well with the Springbok Club’s own ideals of remembering and working towards the restoration of civilised rule in southern Africa. At the conclusion of the meeting Mr. Cliff Moore gave a highly informative and enlightening talk about his own experiences and memories of Rhodesia.
Earlier during the month a contingent of Springbok Club members attended the Saracens v. Natal Sharks friendly rugby match at Allianz Park. This proved to be a most enjoyable event, with Saracens winning by 23 points to 15, and a large number of new supporters being contacted as a result (several of whom we now welcome to the SCN circulation list!). Alas there were also many idiots at this match who chose to carry the hated ANC flag (and even a couple of scumbags who were waving the terrorist ZANU-PF Zimbabwe flag!), so quite obviously the Springbok Club still has a lot of educating to do! Against this it was of course most reassuring to see a number of real South African flags in the crowd – and perhaps even encouraging was the fact that the De la Rey Song was played in the main bar after the match! Officials at Saracens RFC therefore deserve full congratulations upon organising such an exhilarating occasion.

SPRINGBOK CLUB BRANCH ACTIVITIES
The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will be organizing a trip to Rochester on Saturday 15th March, at which a visit will be made to the historic Rochester Guildhall which houses many exhibits and artifacts relating to Royal Navy history. Rochester, of course, was the location of the signing of the “Rochester Declaration” in 1994, when supporters of the embryo Springbok Club pledged their determination to work towards the re-establishment of civilized White control of the African continent. All members and supporters of the Springbok Club will be welcome to attend this activity of course, and more precise details about rendezvous time and location will be included in next month’s SCN.
The London Branch of the Springbok Club is planning trips to a special exhibition at the Imperial War Museum and to a London brewery later during the year.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS
The Swinton Circle has already given its active support to the first three events of New Britain’s splendid itinerary of patriotic activities for 2014, namely their Australia Day celebrations in January and their Goldsmith Lecture and New Zealand Day celebrations in early February, and aim to continue giving support to New Britain events during the rest of the year. More precise details are of course given in the New Britain News column.
Unfortunately, however, one Swinton Circle supporter expressed disappointment that more events weren’t being staged by the Swinton Circle itself at the Goldsmith Lecture. It should be emphasized therefore that the Swinton Circle will be holding a meeting to be addressed by a leading official of a prominent EuroSceptic pressure group towards the end of March. More precise details about this event will be given in the March edition of the SCN.

Is it not time for a regular cycle of Winter Commonwealth Games also to be established we therefore wonder?
It could be argued that not sufficient Commonwealth countries participate in Winter Sports, but it should be remembered in this regard that the various component parts of the United Kingdom have traditionally compete separately at Commonwealth Games, and that calls have been made for the Australian states to compete separately also. Perhaps the various Canadian provinces could therefore compete individually in these proposed Winter Commonwealth Games.

NEW BRITAIN NEWS
New Britain’s exciting itinerary of 2014 events started in January with their annual Australia Day celebrations. Unfortunately the inclement weather meant that this year’s events had to be curtailed somewhat, but even so the wreath-laying ceremony at the statuette of Admiral Arthur Phillip went ahead as planned, with an Australian-themed reception being held afterwards.
This year’s Goldsmith Lecture held in early February proved a great success. This year’s speech was given by Zac Goldsmith MP, the Conservative MP for Richmond Park and the son of the great EuroSceptic activist Sir James Goldsmith, after whom these annual lectures are named. In a wide-ranging and inspiring address Mr. Goldsmith showed that he was continuing with the vital mission embraced by his father, and was also campaigning for more democratic accountability in Parliament.
A few days after the Goldsmith Lecture New Britain staged their annual New Zealand Day celebrations, which consisted of the laying of a wreath at the statue of Captain James Cook in The Mall, followed by a New Zealand-themed reception in the City of London.
New Britain will be staging four events during March, the details of which are as follows :-
1) On Monday 3rd March St.David’s Day will be celebrated, which will consist of a wreath-laying ceremony at the Welsh National War Memorial in Cardiff, to be followed by a reception.
2) On Saturday 8th March a big “Keep the United Kingdom United” Rally will be held at St.Sepulchre’s Church, Holborn, in the City of London. This will feature professional singers from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, as well as musical performances on both harp and bagpipes. There will be a minimal admission charge of only £5.00 for this event.
3) On Monday 10th March New Britain will be supporting the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, commencing at 15.00 hrs. H.M. The Queen will be attending this event, and New Britain has obtained a limited number of free tickets.
4) On Monday 17th March New Britain will be holding a reception on the City of London in order to celebrate St.Patrick’s Day.

REPORT FROM THE ZIMBABWE CONSERVATION TASK FORCE
We have recently received the following report from the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force which follows-up their disturbing report which we included in January’s SCN . It reads as follows :-
“UPDATE ON ELEPHANT CYANIDE POISONING
“Further to our last report, the number of elephants poisoned by cyanide in Hwange National Park continues to rise daily. Around 100 carcasses have now been found. 3 of the 8 poachers have been sentenced.
“Robert Maphosa (42) has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with labour.
Thabani Zondo (24) was also sentenced to 15 years and was also asked to pay US$600,000 to National Parks by December this year.
Deanie Tsuma (25) was sentenced to 15 years and asked to pay US$200,000 to National Parks by December this year.
“National Parks and Wildlife Authority believe these sentences will be a deterrent to would be poachers.
“The most frightening part of this is that although all the water holes have not yet been tested for cyanide, we do know that at least 2 are contaminated. This means that any animal that drinks from these water holes will die and any carnivores that feed on the carcasses will also die. We are expecting the death toll to keep rising and we will keep everyone informed as we receive the information.
“RABIES IN BUHERA
“We have received a report that a rabid hyena in Buhera has bitten 5 people who are now being treated for rabies. The game fences have all been removed and the plains game are escaping. Thus, the carnivores are having trouble finding food and appear to now be attacking humans. Apparently, the local people have now laid poison down to try and kill the rabid animals. This is a big concern because children and domestic animals are also at risk of being poisoned.”

THEATRE REVIEW
Mark Taylor has recently sent us the following review of the play “Black Jesus” :-
“The new play ‘Black Jesus’ ran at the Finborough Theatre in Earls Court until October 26 of last year, but the script published by Bloomsbury is still available.
“The play is set in 2015, when Zimbabwe has set up a South Africa-style Truth and Justice commission dealing with the atrocities under Mugabe. Idealistic investigator Eunice Ncube is questioning barbaric killer Gabriel Chibamu, known as ‘Black Jesus’ because he'd decided who'd live and die. He's still unrepentant and defiant, but bitter that the top men who gave the orders aren't in jail like him. Eunice is acting under White Zimbabwean Rob Palmer, married to a Black South African and kicked upstairs to be replaced by Government minister Endurance Moyo, an old friend of Eunice's father with doubts about the whole commission, partly for personal reasons. Shall we say that he, Eunice and Chibamu all have skeletons in their closets?
“The play was well acted and seemed relevant and realistic. As it's unlikely that readers will get the chance to see it, the script is well worth reading.”

TOMMASO ALLAN
It was very interesting to see that Tommaso (Tommy) Allan has been playing at fly-half for Italy during the current 6-Nations tournament. Tommaso Allan is the son of William (Billy) Allan and the nephew of John Allan, who played as hooker at international level for both Scotland and South Africa. John and Billy Allan were furthermore both keen members of the Rangers FC Supporters Association Durban Branch (RFCSADB) during the 1980’s, both playing for the branch’s team which competed in the Natal Sunday Soccer League (John played in goal on Sundays after playing hooker for Natal the previous day – something which the Natal RFU were evidently not aware of!). Their father was Ricky Allan, a stalwart of the RFCSADB’s social side, who was also – not surprisingly for a Rangers supporter – a staunch Loyalist. A fantastic man therefore is Ricky Allan, being the father of a Scottish and South African international and the grandfather of an Italian international – and he a firm British Loyalist who lived much of his life in Natal, “The Last Outpost of the British Empire”! Although we would of course have preferred to see Tommaso playing for Scotland rather than Italy, we still naturally wish him well.

OLYMPIC FEVER
The 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games were of course a tough act to follow, with all the efficiency, excitement and national glory which London 2012 produced, but the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi have certainly run them a very close race! In one aspect moreover, namely the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Sochi undoubtedly put on a far better show than the rather facile efforts produced by London. The Russians certainly proved that 25 years after the collapse of repressive Communist rule the strengths of the capitalist free-market system have been fully embraced to the benefit of all their people, and as a result Russia is now a fully integrated part of the West. In one respect the Russian government is undoubtedly even more advanced than most other Western governments, namely its abhorrence of sexual perversions, where its attitude is undoubtedly more in tune with the majority of people in the West rather than their governments. In this respect it was interesting to note that in spite of all the pre-Games bluster by pervert organizations there were no noticeable boycotts, and no meaningful protest demonstrations!
One other aspect of the 2014 Winter Games also struck us however. In spite of 88 countries from around he globe competing, one once significant nation was not able to send any competitors – namely the Republic of South Africa. Although such countries as Togoland, Monaco and the Cayman Islands were able to send participants, the “new” South Africa was notable by its absence. Surely nothing further needs to be said about how far the country has fallen under ANC mis-rule!

In the November 2013 edition of the SCN we commented about how former Swinton Circle Executive Committee member James Lockwood had appeared on the highly-respected BBC TV quiz programme Mastermind, and had made an extremely creditable performance thereon. After a few years of independence under Kwame Nkrumah Ghanaians were asking the British to come back. Nkrumah wrecked his country's economy with Marxism and megalomania, basically differed from Hitler and Mussolini solely in his failure to make the trains or anything else run on time, and was of course one of the darlings of the British progressive Left whose concern for civil liberties seemed to come to an end when the oppressors were Black rather than White Africans.

LONG MARCH TO ENSLAVEMENT
Sir,
Our labour laws are such, that employing anyone (Blacks especially) is just not a good idea – we might as well be living in a communist state. It’s worrying because costs are rising and our govermoont keeps inventing new taxes – to pay for their luxuries.
The political scene is somewhat like it was when the ANC was doing their best to make the country ungovernable. Now it’s the ANCYL (the youth league) against the ANC (or at least against Zuma).
The result is that corruption is rife, murder rate rising, violent crime etc, etc. It has been a gradual process, so most do not realise how much living standards have declined. But if one takes a proper and honest assessment of the situation, the lowering of standards is clearly apparent. Filth in the streets, water quality and availability (despite high prices) is dubious, constant electricity failures (and so called load shedding). Apparently 70% of electricity generated is not paid for (the same goes for water).
State hospitals are best avoided, schooling standards have been lowered so that the dumbest are promoted. My daughter’s son went to St Henrys (catholic school nearby) for a short while.
She told me that the big fat Black mamas rolled up with their kids in the morning in their million Rand plus Mercs and BMW s – but these parents paid not a cent for the education of their kids - why? They are classed as “previously disadvantaged”.
Prangs (and I mean those that wipe out 20 or more at a time) are frequent. If you bribe the official in question all sorts are possible – like a passport, an ID card, a driving licence (not just for a car but even a 30 ton semi), a road worthy certificate for your totally stuffed car with no brakes, a university degree – the list go on.
Police are corrupt from the top down. It is said that the army is 70% infected with AIDS. Of the frigates and submariness that costs billions hardly one is operable. Fighter planes are flown full tilt into the side of a mountain by under trained (untrainable?) pilots. Our head of state sets the example, so who is surprised?
I guess I should not complain – I and many others knew what would happen when we yielded to Black rule. Some liberals of course bought the idea that we would all live in paradise with no racial friction – what a joke - anti-White sentiment is promoted ceaselessly by politicians and bureaucrats. In business (if you are White and have Black employees) then you are constantly harassed by upstart and arrogant bureaucrats. For example if one of your employees has a headache and asks for an aspirin you are likely to be charged by the CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration) for improper issuing of drugs.
Otherwise it’s still old Sunny South Africa (its raining at the moment) – but then we need the rain for our new garden! (Jacob Zuma hasn’t taxed the rain – not yet anyway). He has a wonderful new “residential complex” – cost us tax payers around a quarter billion.

February 2014 edition
It was widely rumoured, and indeed greatly expected, that the death and/or funeral of the ANC terrorist leader “Nelson” Mandela would be the signal for a mass pogrom of Whites in South Africa. The terrorist Mandela died at the end of last year, yet this sadistic apparent wish of his did not come to fruition as he had evidently planned. Why was this we wonder?
It was widely acknowledged in the international media that the wretched Mandela actually died several months prior to when his death was officially announced. The reason for this delay in confirming his death has been the subject of much speculation, with no uniformity of explanation being agreed upon. We believe that these two puzzles are connected however.
Apart from his corruption, lunatic assertion that taking showers can prevent AIDS, and the fact that like Mandela he was a convicted terrorist, it should also be remembered that Jacob Zuma, the current president of the “new” South Africa, is a Zulu - unlike most in the Xhosa-dominated ANC hierarchy. The Zulus have always been seen as a far more martial race than any other Black ethnic groups in southern Africa – and as a consequence have been far more authoritarian in the exercise of power. There has furthermore been a long tradition of respect by Zulus for the White man – provided, that is, that the White man has displayed strength. Could it be that the realities of power have made Zuma and his administration realize that a continued White presence was essential for the survival of their “new” South Africa, and as a result that the planned pogrom of Whites had to be prevented? Could it also be that Zuma’s authoritarian nature ensured that all instruments of state power were mobilized to prevent such a pogrom, and that the death of Mandela was therefore not announced until after such preventive measures had been put in place? If so then Zuma has proved to be an unlikely hero who has stymied Mandela’s bloodthirsty wish.
But the entire history of Black Africa shows that the most ruthless and bloodthirsty leader always rises to the top. How else did Mandela ever gain leadership of the ANC? SPRINGBOK CLUB JANUARY ACTIVITIES
The Springbok Club staged its 2014 AGM at the end of January, which proved to be a most encouraging and successful event with a healthy turnout. Following reports from both the Organiser and the Treasurer for 2013, the current Executive Committee were then re-elected en bloc for 2014. A general discussion then took place concerning activities and ideas for growth during 2014, with a number of interesting suggestions decided upon. After the conclusion of the business side of affairs Mr. Dennis Delderfield outlined the spectacular itinerary of events being planned by New Britain for 2014, and it was observed that New Britain’s commitment to strengthening links with the Commonwealth realms (particularly Australia, New Zealand and Canada) dovetailed very well with the Springbok Club’s own ideals of remembering and working towards the restoration of civilised rule in southern Africa. At the conclusion of the meeting Mr. Cliff Moore gave a highly informative and enlightening talk about his own experiences and memories of Rhodesia.
Earlier during the month a contingent of Springbok Club members attended the Saracens v. Natal Sharks friendly rugby match at Allianz Park. This proved to be a most enjoyable event, with Saracens winning by 23 points to 15, and a large number of new supporters being contacted as a result (several of whom we now welcome to the SCN circulation list!). Alas there were also many idiots at this match who chose to carry the hated ANC flag (and even a couple of scumbags who were waving the terrorist ZANU-PF Zimbabwe flag!), so quite obviously the Springbok Club still has a lot of educating to do! Against this it was of course most reassuring to see a number of real South African flags in the crowd – and perhaps even encouraging was the fact that the De la Rey Song was played in the main bar after the match! Officials at Saracens RFC therefore deserve full congratulations upon organising such an exhilarating occasion.

SPRINGBOK CLUB BRANCH ACTIVITIES
The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will be organizing a trip to Rochester on Saturday 15th March, at which a visit will be made to the historic Rochester Guildhall which houses many exhibits and artifacts relating to Royal Navy history. Rochester, of course, was the location of the signing of the “Rochester Declaration” in 1994, when supporters of the embryo Springbok Club pledged their determination to work towards the re-establishment of civilized White control of the African continent. All members and supporters of the Springbok Club will be welcome to attend this activity of course, and more precise details about rendezvous time and location will be included in next month’s SCN.
The London Branch of the Springbok Club is planning trips to a special exhibition at the Imperial War Museum and to a London brewery later during the year.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS
The Swinton Circle has already given its active support to the first three events of New Britain’s splendid itinerary of patriotic activities for 2014, namely their Australia Day celebrations in January and their Goldsmith Lecture and New Zealand Day celebrations in early February, and aim to continue giving support to New Britain events during the rest of the year. More precise details are of course given in the New Britain News column.
Unfortunately, however, one Swinton Circle supporter expressed disappointment that more events weren’t being staged by the Swinton Circle itself at the Goldsmith Lecture. It should be emphasized therefore that the Swinton Circle will be holding a meeting to be addressed by a leading official of a prominent EuroSceptic pressure group towards the end of March. More precise details about this event will be given in the March edition of the SCN.

With the culmination of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games the Swinton Circle will be embarking upon a campaign advocating the inauguration of regular Winter Commonwealth Games. Letters shortly to be sent to various sporting authorities and media outlets will read as follows :-

Just as the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games did, this year’s Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi captivated the attention of the entire nation. Furthermore in a few months time the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow will undoubtedly generate similar massive enthusiasm. Is it not time for a regular cycle of Winter Commonwealth Games also to be established we therefore wonder?
It could be argued that not sufficient Commonwealth countries participate in Winter Sports, but it should be remembered in this regard that the various component parts of the United Kingdom have traditionally compete separately at Commonwealth Games, and that calls have been made for the Australian states to compete separately also. Perhaps the various Canadian provinces could therefore compete individually in these proposed Winter Commonwealth Games.

NEW BRITAIN NEWS
New Britain’s exciting itinerary of 2014 events started in January with their annual Australia Day celebrations. Unfortunately the inclement weather meant that this year’s events had to be curtailed somewhat, but even so the wreath-laying ceremony at the statuette of Admiral Arthur Phillip went ahead as planned, with an Australian-themed reception being held afterwards.
This year’s Goldsmith Lecture held in early February proved a great success. This year’s speech was given by Zac Goldsmith MP, the Conservative MP for Richmond Park and the son of the great EuroSceptic activist Sir James Goldsmith, after whom these annual lectures are named. In a wide-ranging and inspiring address Mr. Goldsmith showed that he was continuing with the vital mission embraced by his father, and was also campaigning for more democratic accountability in Parliament.
A few days after the Goldsmith Lecture New Britain staged their annual New Zealand Day celebrations, which consisted of the laying of a wreath at the statue of Captain James Cook in The Mall, followed by a New Zealand-themed reception in the City of London.
New Britain will be staging four events during March, the details of which are as follows :-
1) On Monday 3rd March St.David’s Day will be celebrated, which will consist of a wreath-laying ceremony at the Welsh National War Memorial in Cardiff, to be followed by a reception.
2) On Saturday 8th March a big “Keep the United Kingdom United” Rally will be held at St.Sepulchre’s Church, Holborn, in the City of London. This will feature professional singers from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, as well as musical performances on both harp and bagpipes. There will be a minimal admission charge of only £5.00 for this event.
3) On Monday 10th March New Britain will be supporting the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, commencing at 15.00 hrs. H.M. The Queen will be attending this event, and New Britain has obtained a limited number of free tickets.
4) On Monday 17th March New Britain will be holding a reception on the City of London in order to celebrate St.Patrick’s Day.

REPORT FROM THE ZIMBABWE CONSERVATION TASK FORCE
We have recently received the following report from the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force which follows-up their disturbing report which we included in January’s SCN . It reads as follows :-
“UPDATE ON ELEPHANT CYANIDE POISONING
“Further to our last report, the number of elephants poisoned by cyanide in Hwange National Park continues to rise daily. Around 100 carcasses have now been found. 3 of the 8 poachers have been sentenced.
“Robert Maphosa (42) has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with labour.
Thabani Zondo (24) was also sentenced to 15 years and was also asked to pay US$600,000 to National Parks by December this year.
Deanie Tsuma (25) was sentenced to 15 years and asked to pay US$200,000 to National Parks by December this year.
“National Parks and Wildlife Authority believe these sentences will be a deterrent to would be poachers.
“The most frightening part of this is that although all the water holes have not yet been tested for cyanide, we do know that at least 2 are contaminated. This means that any animal that drinks from these water holes will die and any carnivores that feed on the carcasses will also die. We are expecting the death toll to keep rising and we will keep everyone informed as we receive the information.
“RABIES IN BUHERA
“We have received a report that a rabid hyena in Buhera has bitten 5 people who are now being treated for rabies. The game fences have all been removed and the plains game are escaping. Thus, the carnivores are having trouble finding food and appear to now be attacking humans. Apparently, the local people have now laid poison down to try and kill the rabid animals. This is a big concern because children and domestic animals are also at risk of being poisoned.”

THEATRE REVIEW
Mark Taylor has recently sent us the following review of the play “Black Jesus” :-
“The new play ‘Black Jesus’ ran at the Finborough Theatre in Earls Court until October 26 of last year, but the script published by Bloomsbury is still available.
“The play is set in 2015, when Zimbabwe has set up a South Africa-style Truth and Justice commission dealing with the atrocities under Mugabe. Idealistic investigator Eunice Ncube is questioning barbaric killer Gabriel Chibamu, known as ‘Black Jesus’ because he'd decided who'd live and die. He's still unrepentant and defiant, but bitter that the top men who gave the orders aren't in jail like him. Eunice is acting under White Zimbabwean Rob Palmer, married to a Black South African and kicked upstairs to be replaced by Government minister Endurance Moyo, an old friend of Eunice's father with doubts about the whole commission, partly for personal reasons. Shall we say that he, Eunice and Chibamu all have skeletons in their closets?
“The play was well acted and seemed relevant and realistic. As it's unlikely that readers will get the chance to see it, the script is well worth reading.”

TOMMASO ALLAN
It was very interesting to see that Tommaso (Tommy) Allan has been playing at fly-half for Italy during the current 6-Nations tournament. Tommaso Allan is the son of William (Billy) Allan and the nephew of John Allan, who played as hooker at international level for both Scotland and South Africa. John and Billy Allan were furthermore both keen members of the Rangers FC Supporters Association Durban Branch (RFCSADB) during the 1980’s, both playing for the branch’s team which competed in the Natal Sunday Soccer League (John played in goal on Sundays after playing hooker for Natal the previous day – something which the Natal RFU were evidently not aware of!). Their father was Ricky Allan, a stalwart of the RFCSADB’s social side, who was also – not surprisingly for a Rangers supporter – a staunch Loyalist. A fantastic man therefore is Ricky Allan, being the father of a Scottish and South African international and the grandfather of an Italian international – and he a firm British Loyalist who lived much of his life in Natal, “The Last Outpost of the British Empire”! Although we would of course have preferred to see Tommaso playing for Scotland rather than Italy, we still naturally wish him well.

OLYMPIC FEVER
The 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games were of course a tough act to follow, with all the efficiency, excitement and national glory which London 2012 produced, but the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi have certainly run them a very close race! In one aspect moreover, namely the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Sochi undoubtedly put on a far better show than the rather facile efforts produced by London. The Russians certainly proved that 25 years after the collapse of repressive Communist rule the strengths of the capitalist free-market system have been fully embraced to the benefit of all their people, and as a result Russia is now a fully integrated part of the West. In one respect the Russian government is undoubtedly even more advanced than most other Western governments, namely its abhorrence of sexual perversions, where its attitude is undoubtedly more in tune with the majority of people in the West rather than their governments. In this respect it was interesting to note that in spite of all the pre-Games bluster by pervert organizations there were no noticeable boycotts, and no meaningful protest demonstrations!
One other aspect of the 2014 Winter Games also struck us however. In spite of 88 countries from around he globe competing, one once significant nation was not able to send any competitors – namely the Republic of South Africa. Although such countries as Togoland, Monaco and the Cayman Islands were able to send participants, the “new” South Africa was notable by its absence. Surely nothing further needs to be said about how far the country has fallen under ANC mis-rule!

MASTERMIND
In the November 2013 edition of the SCN we commented about how former Swinton Circle Executive Committee member James Lockwood had appeared on the highly-respected BBC TV quiz programme Mastermind, and had made an extremely creditable performance thereon. Alas, in spite of sending congratulatory messages to James both by e-mail and through the post we worryingly have received no response from him. It would appear therefore that he has changed address and contact details within the past couple of years. Does anyone know how he can now be contacted we therefore wonder?
In a subsequent edition of Mastermind a competitor answered questions on the History of Rhodesia from 1965 to 1979 as his specialist subject, and again finished as runner-up in his heat, thereby having a good chance of advancing further. This competitor’s name was Andries van Tonder, and we would very much like to make contact with him if possible. Again if anybody could help with contact details we’d be extremely grateful.

Sammy Goodfellow, who hailed originally from Glasgow, was a keen and loyal member of the Rangers F.C. Supporters Association Durban Branch (RFCSADB) during the 1980s. A stocky and friendly character, he constantly seemed to have a smile on his face. We believe that he returned to the UK in the early 1990s however, but it would be nice to know where he is now, if anyone can help.

After a few years of independence under Kwame Nkrumah Ghanaians were asking the British to come back. Nkrumah wrecked his country's economy with Marxism and megalomania, basically differed from Hitler and Mussolini solely in his failure to make the trains or anything else run on time, and was of course one of the darlings of the British progressive Left whose concern for civil liberties seemed to come to an end when the oppressors were Black rather than White Africans.

LONG MARCH TO ENSLAVEMENT
Sir,
Our labour laws are such, that employing anyone (Blacks especially) is just not a good idea – we might as well be living in a communist state. It’s worrying because costs are rising and our govermoont keeps inventing new taxes – to pay for their luxuries.
The political scene is somewhat like it was when the ANC was doing their best to make the country ungovernable. Now it’s the ANCYL (the youth league) against the ANC (or at least against Zuma).
The result is that corruption is rife, murder rate rising, violent crime etc, etc. It has been a gradual process, so most do not realise how much living standards have declined. But if one takes a proper and honest assessment of the situation, the lowering of standards is clearly apparent. Filth in the streets, water quality and availability (despite high prices) is dubious, constant electricity failures (and so called load shedding). Apparently 70% of electricity generated is not paid for (the same goes for water).
State hospitals are best avoided, schooling standards have been lowered so that the dumbest are promoted. My daughter’s son went to St Henrys (catholic school nearby) for a short while.
She told me that the big fat Black mamas rolled up with their kids in the morning in their million Rand plus Mercs and BMW s – but these parents paid not a cent for the education of their kids - why? They are classed as “previously disadvantaged”.
Prangs (and I mean those that wipe out 20 or more at a time) are frequent. If you bribe the official in question all sorts are possible – like a passport, an ID card, a driving licence (not just for a car but even a 30 ton semi), a road worthy certificate for your totally stuffed car with no brakes, a university degree – the list go on.
Police are corrupt from the top down. It is said that the army is 70% infected with AIDS. Of the frigates and submariness that costs billions hardly one is operable. Fighter planes are flown full tilt into the side of a mountain by under trained (untrainable?) pilots. Our head of state sets the example, so who is surprised?
I guess I should not complain – I and many others knew what would happen when we yielded to Black rule. Some liberals of course bought the idea that we would all live in paradise with no racial friction – what a joke - anti-White sentiment is promoted ceaselessly by politicians and bureaucrats. In business (if you are White and have Black employees) then you are constantly harassed by upstart and arrogant bureaucrats. For example if one of your employees has a headache and asks for an aspirin you are likely to be charged by the CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration) for improper issuing of drugs.
Otherwise it’s still old Sunny South Africa (its raining at the moment) – but then we need the rain for our new garden! (Jacob Zuma hasn’t taxed the rain – not yet anyway). He has a wonderful new “residential complex” – cost us tax payers around a quarter billion.
