September 2022 edition
The past two weeks have witnessed one of the most dramatic periods in British – indeed in world – history. First of all the election of Liz Truss as leader of the British Conservative Party, and thereby Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and then the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the longest serving monarch in British history. The end of an era indeed.
Liz Truss’s predecessor, Boris Johnson, ascended to the post with high hopes and much good-will from a wide section of the patriotic British people, but alas these high expectations were dashed immediately that he announced his first cabinet, which was not so much a British cabinet as a United Nations one! As a result his popularity soon plummeted, as was confirmed by the Conservative Party’s defeat at several by-elections in constituencies which had been rock-solid Tory strongholds for decades. Liz Truss therefore had much going for her after being elected Conservative leader if she was to return the party to its patriotic roots. In spite of the fact that she was only elected by the Conservative Party membership because “she was not Rishi Sunak” she immediately made the same mistake as Johnson by appointing foreigners – and non-White foreigners at that – to the highest positions in her cabinet. Such an insult to the British people will not be forgiven of course, and so her chances of winning the next General Election now seem to be zero.
Although the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II of England, Northern Ireland and Wales) was both inevitable and expected, it still came as a great shock to the world. The practically universal outpouring of grief was not only far higher than many expected, but also – most sad though the occasion actually was – a manifestation which endears great national pride. Queen Elizabeth was undoubtedly a good, sincere and dedicated woman. Of that there can be no doubt. But to term her “Elizabeth the Great” so soon after her death, as Boris Johnson has insisted upon doing, is surely a clear case of hyperbole. Let history decide. The fact remains, however, that although when Queen Elizabeth’s illustrious ancestor, Queen Victoria, died her country possessed the greatest Empire which the world had ever known, when Queen Elizabeth died that Empire had shrunk to only 15 realms where she was Head of State and 14 colonial possessions. Now however is not the time to discuss whether she herself could have done anything to prevent this humiliating national decline.
We must now however look to the new monarch of the United Kingdom and his other realms and territories, King Charles III. There are some who view his succession with trepidation, but we ask them to consider two important facts. Firstly his current wife is a woman with impeccable credentials who will undoubtedly influence him greatly for the good – quite unlike would have been the case if he was still married to his former deeply flawed wife. Secondly we ask everyone to remember King Edward VII. When he was still Prince of Wales he was also predicted to be a disaster as King, but after he ascended to the throne he proved to be a magnificent monarch who helped to increase the power and glory of the British Empire. We believe – and certainly hope – that King Charles III will likewise defy his doomsaying critics.
There are however three requests that we would make to the new King and his Royal Household :-
1) Although the title “Queen Consort” is constitutionally correct, it was never used colloquially in the past. The Queens Consort of Kings Edward VII, George V and George VI were always referred to colloquially as Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth. Likewise the current Queen Consort should from henceforth be referred to as Queen Camilla. 2) The decision to prevent HRH The Duke of York from being allowed to wear naval uniform in events associated with the late Queen’s funeral and the succession should immediately be rescinded. There is a tenet in British Law that everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty. HRH The Duke of York has never been found guilty of any offence, in spite of serious accusations being leveled against him by a gold-digging American sex-worker. He was advised to pay extortion money to her by unknown figures within the Royal Household in order to prevent acute embarrassment to other members of the Royal Family, rather than defending himself to establish his innocence. This decision we believe was a great mistake, and shouldn’t be used to imply that he admitted guilt. 3) At the time that Prince Edward was created Earl of Wessex it was stated that the then Duke of Edinburgh wished his title to continue for posterity, and that after his death and that of his wife, Her Majesty the Queen, the Earl of Wessex should inherit it. Both the former Duke of Edinburgh and Her Majesty are now dead, yet there has still been no announcement that the Earl of Wessex has inherited his late father’s title. This we believe should now be done.
Be these matters as they may, we mourn the passing of the late Queen and cherish her memory, and pledge fealty to the new King and Queen and the new Prince and Princess of Wales

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
The Springbok Club staged a most enjoyable and enlightening trip to the Dr. Johnson House Museum in central London last month. This proved a very successful event, and enabled those present to learn a lot more about the great 18th century essayist and lexicographer’s life and achievements. Both prior to and after this visit members of the Springbok Club party patronised the near-by historic Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese pub, where in a convivial atmosphere ideas and plans for future Springbok Club activities were discussed.

This year’s “Raising of the Flag” ceremony will be held on Saturday 1st October at Swanage in Dorset. This venue has been chosen because Swanage was the town where Cmd. Edward Carey. “Teddy” Tyndale-Biscoe RN – who of course was the person who first raised the Union Flag at the site which subsequently became Salisbury, Rhodesia, on 13th September 1890 – lived from 1936 until his death in 1941. Assemble at “The Anchor Inn”, 30-32 High Street, Swanage, Dorset, BH19 2NU from 12.00 noon until approximately 14.30 hrs on Saturday 1st October, before attendees will proceed to a site close to Cmd.Tyndale-Biscoe’s former house at “Braemar”, 8 Bon Accord Road, Swanage. The actual ceremony will then take place, starting at 15.00 hrs, and will consist of the symbolic raising of the Union Flag, short key-note speeches by two prominent personalities, and the singing of both the British and the Rhodesian National Anthems. After the ceremony the party will adjourn to the near-by “Black Swan” pub (which is believed to have been Cmd.Tyndale-Biscoe’s “local”) where a PowerPoint presentation about his life and career (as well as that of another great naval hero from the area, CPO Ernest Pitcher VC) will be given, starting at 17.00 hrs and lasting until approximately 19.00 hrs, after which an evening meal will be available. The day’s events will also include a toast being raised to the memory of Cmd.Tyndale-Biscoe with Sandeman’s port – a drink which has been chosen because both his mother and his first wife were members of the famous Sandeman port importing family!

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS
In view of the mourning period for Her Majesty the Queen the Patriotic Forum’s meeting to be addressed by Mr. Peter Lindsay has been postponed from September until October. Peter Lindsay has been a patriotic activist all of his adult life, having worked actively for the “No” campaign during the 1975 Referendum regarding whether Britain should be a member of the then “European Common Market” or not, and subsequently becoming a keen and dedicated member of UKIP. More recently he has established his own e-mail circulation list on which he comments upon a range of current political issues. The subject of his talk will be “The World Crisis”. Full details about this meeting will be included in next month’s SCN, and will also be circulated directly to all Patriotic Forum members and supporters once finalised.

MESSAGE FROM THE ANIMAL SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION
We have recently received the following extremely concerning report from the Animal Survival International organisation about the plight of Vaquita Porpoises. It reads as follows:-
“The vaquita is the most endangered marine mammal in the world. Right now, there are only about 10 of these small porpoises left in the entire world - we are perilously close to losing them forever.
”Vaquitas live only in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico where imminent extinction beckons because they become entangled in illegal fishing nets and die. It’s that stark and that simple and without our help, another unique creature will be lost because of mankind destroying the oceans.
“Vaquitas could be extinct within the next few years. These rare creatures are in grave danger of disappearing within our lifetime
“Vaquitas have striking dark-ringed facial features that are often compared to a smiling panda. They are shy and reclusive - steering clear of boats when approached. Unfortunately, they can’t always propel themselves away from potential threats fast enough. Over the last decade, the vaquita population has plunged from 576 to less than 10 individuals. Human greed and selfishness is the cause.
“Vaquitas are routinely caught by fishermen using gillnets, long walls of netting that hang in the water trapping fish. Gillnets are illegal, but commonly used by poachers seeking totoabas - an endangered species of fish that shares the vaquita’s habitat. Once vaquitas become entangled in the nets they are unable to surface for air and drown within minutes. Those who do manage to escape often suffer severe injuries and do not survive the trauma.
“In an attempt to protect vaquitas, the Mexican government banned gillnet fishing in 2016. But enforcement efforts are feeble, and vaquitas continue to be obliterated. Not all hope is lost - the impending extinction of vaquitas CAN be prevented. But if these animals are to have any chance at survival, it is critical that the authorities step up enforcement measures to terminate illegal fishing operations FOR GOOD.
“Animal Survival International will work alongside Earth League International (ELI), an innovative, hands-on NGO that fights wildlife crime through undercover operations. At considerable risk to themselves, they penetrate planned poaching operations before they start fishing. Law enforcement officials and local government officials are presented with such strong evidence that they have no choice but to act. This they can easily do because their job has been done for them. It's an approach that works and one that with your help, will make their species stronger.“

CONGRATULATIONS BIRMINGHAM!
This year’s Commonwealth Games, which were centred in Birmingham, proved a most well-organised and spectacular success. Birmingham of course may have seemed like an unlikely venue for such a massive global event, but the organising committee and the city elders not only staged a faultless show but also proved that there were places in England outside London which had character of their own and were worthy of recognition
It should not be forgotten, however, that Birmingham was not the original choice to host the 2022 Games. That accolade was originally due to go to Durban in the “new” South Africa – but it didn’t take the Commonwealth Games Federation’s Executive Board long to realise that today’s Durban was a totally unsuitable place to hold such a global multi-sports spectacular. Durban of course was a beautiful and well-administered city during the days of civilised rule in South Africa and would then have been an ideal city to host events such as the Commonwealth Games, but today alas it is just another third world cess-pit where all infrastructure has collapsed and rampant crime and rioting is the order of the day. Hopefully this will be the last occasion when a foolhardy decision is made to stage a major sporting competition anywhere in the decaying “new” South Africa!
Birmingham however showed how a civilised first world country could and should stage a major global sporting tournament. It was not only the superb organisation which made it such a memorable occasion which brought joy to millions however, as there were also many outstanding achievements by the competitors themselves. These outstanding triumphs are really too numerous to mention, but we feel that we must mention Flora Duffy from Bermuda retaining her Women’s Triathlon crown and Lucy Beere and Alastair Chalmers winning Guernsey’s first medals at the Commonwealth Games since 1994!
In spite of all the successes of Birmingham 2022 there were even so some disappointments. Firstly there was the presence in the Games of a number of countries which never had any connection with Britain or the British Empire, such as Mozambique and Rwanda. This of course is a fault of the Commonwealth itself rather than the Games’ organisers, but surely it is about time to slim down the Commonwealth to that it consists of only those countries which recognize King Charles III as their Head of State and Britain’s remaining overseas territories, plus perhaps a few other countries which have strong historic and friendly relations with the United Kingdom such as Malta, Fiji and Tonga. Secondly, rather like the Olympic Games, there are too many “pseudo-sports” relying upon the opinions of judges rather than the stop-watch or the tape-measure included in the Commonwealth Games itinerary. These “sports”, particularly Rhythmic Gymnastics, should be dropped immediately, along with Judo, which is a Japanese form of Wrestling which has nothing to do with Britain or the British Empire. In their place should be added some more traditional British sports such as Snooker, Rowing and Polo – plus of course Men’s Cricket to join their female counterparts!
Hopefully all these faults will be rectified in time for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Australia – an event which we can hardly wait for!

DISTURBING REPORT FROM THE BRITISH FREEDOM PARTY
Although we have no direct connection with the British Freedom Party (BFP), we do find that we have many opinions and aims in common. It has therefore been very disturbing to receive the following message from Ms. Jayda Fransen, the Leader of the BFP :-
“I actually cannot believe this is happening.
“As you know, I have been working very hard to keep the office running whilst caring for my much loved pug, Buster, who is desperately unwell.
“On top of all that, Buster and I may now be in danger.
“In the middle of a very busy and stressful time, I found myself the subject of a vicious and completely FALSE smear campaign by individuals who alleged to be in the same cause as me.
“As a direct result of the lies they have tod, I have been instructed by the Police to place extra security on my home over serious safety concerns.
“To say that I am horrified at this is an understatement.
“I have devoted many years of my life to honest and loyal activism. I have confronted terrorists, exposed child groomers and served time in jail for this cause.
“Yet now I face the threat of serious harm, or even worse – NOT because of a jihadist or child groomers – but because of lies told by people whom I have previously stood beside.
“At a time when my main concern is getting little Buster the medical help he needs, I am now having to find the money to put extra security on my home to keep he and I safe.
“I do not have the means to pay for any of this, but I cannot risk any harm coming to myself or Buster, especially when he is so sick.

New South African (“Azanian”) wealth tax laws are to come. This terrorist tax on wealth will slowly strip the wealthy of the middle class of South Africa to the bone financially. The private sector will crash over the next three years. The super wealthy have been leaving South Africa in swarms over the last two years with their wealth intact. If you own two or three homes and rent them because the pension you paid into during the 80s and 90s is defunct or just a joke in 2020, my advice is sell your houses, move the money out of South Africa and leave.
The ANC have run out of stolen money and will tax you to death. Your bank accounts are going to be looked at and the wealthy will have their South African accounts locked down and pilfered by the ANC terrorist syndicate. The Rhodesians warned us in the 80s! Rhodesians had their state pensions stolen by 1983 to the last Dollar. It all went into the back pocket of the new terrorist state.

A PHONY REVEALS HIS TRUE COLOURS
Many readers will undoubtedly recall the disaster which befell the Swinton Circle (which merged with New Britain to form the Patriotic Forum in 2016) on 31st July 2015 when its meeting was gate-crashed by some two dozen uninvited trouble-makers who then proceeded to disrupt the event, and when asked to leave refused to do so, so that the meeting then descended into chaos (see August 2015 SCN, September 2015 SCN, October 2015 SCN and November 2015 SCN).
It was learnt at this meeting, and confirmed subsequently, that the person who had issued the unauthorised “invitations” to this event was named Jack Buckby – a person who we had never previously heard of, let alone being connected in any way to the organisation! Subsequent information seemed to indicate that this mysterious Buckby character was connected to Paul Griffin, who had been a Committee Member of the Swinton Circle before exposing himself as being in league with the gate-crashing trouble-makers by chatting merrily away to one of the main disrupters of the meeting, prior to resigning from the organisation before he could be expelled. Shortly after the disastrous meeting Griffin induced two other Committee Members, Robin Willow and Paul Symonds, to meet him privately, at which rendezvous he evidently either threatened them or smeared the organisation sufficiently so that they also resigned their membership
Now comes news that the mysterious Jack Buckby, who evidently became associated with several far-Right and extremist organisation, repudiated his former Right-wing views in an interview with Channel 4 News in July 2020, and stated that he now regarded himself as a supporter of Left-wing causes, a position where he felt far happier.
This revelation of course casts a completely new light on the troubling events of 31st July 2015. We wonder therefore whether the two-faced infiltrator Paul Griffin has also now renounced the previous patriotic views which he claimed to hold, and also now supports a Left-wing agenda? Furthermore we wonder what the true positions were and are of the cowards Robin Willow and Paul Symonds, as we have heard nothing further from these traitors since they betrayed the organisation which they held office in?
