There can surely be little doubt that the current wave of migration by swarms of third world minions is the greatest existential threat to the peoples of Europe since the advent of human life on the continent.

Although the vast majority of the British people are – quite rightly – extremely concerned and indeed angry about the high number of illegal migrants crossing the Straits of Dover in inflatable boats, the fact of the matter is that this is only the second phase of the migrant invasion. The first is the even more numerous crossings of the Mediterranean into Italy, Greece and Spain, from where the parasites spread out into almost every European country – whether in the EU or not!

But of course Europe’s immigration crisis did not start with the so-called “refugee” influx of the past few decades, but rather began almost immediately after the conclusion of WW2, egged-on by the self-hating egalitarians who had been ineffective in their aims of destroying all forms of national identity for many centuries beforehand. Alas the excesses of the fascist states during the 1930s and early 1940s induced a knee-jerk reaction against all forms of patriotism, which can only be considered as completely unnatural, as surely it is the natural instinct of all species to defend and to protect their own kind against those who threaten them?

The most sickening aspect about this current state of affairs is the manner in which practically all European governments – and alas people – seem to accept the migrant invasion and do nothing effective to halt it. The only exceptions seem to be Serbia (outside the EU) and Hungary (unfortunately ham-strung by still being in the EU). What is required is surely a concerted and united policy of defiance against all “Human Rights Declarations” and “Refugee Conventions” by all European governments and peoples – and if this entails leaving the EU and taking drastic measures to prevent the migrant landings then so be it!

More fundamentally required, however, is a total rejection of the unnatural egalitarian mindset, and a campaign of ruthless opposition against it, so that the poisonous Linekers of this world can be consigned to the dustbin of history!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club staged a most enjoyable and inspirational trip to Chislehurst last month. This event started with a visit to view Camden Place House, which was the home of the Anglophile French Emperor Napoleon III (Louis Napoleon) for the final few years of his life, after being forced into exile following France’s defeat in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71. Following this visit the Springbok Club party went on to join a conducted tour of the near-by historic Chislehurst Caves (in reality mines rather than caves), during which they learnt a lot about the history of the caves from the Stone Age until the present day, with special emphasis on the WW2 period when the caves were used as air-raid shelters during the Blitz. The day ended with an adjournment to a near-by hostelry for convivial conversations, and where Mr. Gary Vincent gave another of his fascinating and well-researched PowerPoint presentations, this one being about the life and career of the Prince Imperial, the son of Napoleon III, who after living with his father in Chislehurst volunteered to serve in the British Army, wherein he was sadly killed in South Africa during the Anglo-Zulu Wars.

Unfortunately the Springbok Club’s planned meeting for April has had to be cancelled (though hopefully only postponed) because of the current ill-health of the anticipated guest speaker. Instead the Springbok Club Kent Branch’s activity for April will be turned into the organisation’s main event for April. This will take the form of a trip to Rochester in order to experience the atmosphere of the famous Rochester Sweeps Festival on Sunday 30th April. Assemble in or around “The King’s Head”, 58 High Street, Rochester, Kent, ME1 1LD (nearest rail station: Rochester) between 12.30 hrs and 13.30 hrs. The Springbok Club will be holding a special meeting in conjunction with the Patriotic Forum in order to celebrate Empire Day on either Saturday 20th May or Saturday 27th May, which will be addressed by a prominent guest speaker, and in June the organisation will be staging a weekend’s trip to Portsmouth in order to see both HMS Victory and the Mary Rose. Details about both these two events will be given in next month’s SCN.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS

As explained last month, as one of the leading Committee members of the Patriotic Forum has recently experienced a serious health problem, and as two other Committee members are currently in the midst of important personal developments, it has therefore been decided to put the organisation into “cold storage” for the next few months, and to devote its resources to assisting other wings of the wider patriotic movement. This will entail supporting the Springbok Club in their special Empire Day celebration in May (as mentioned above) as well as helping to produce and distribute the next edition (No.43) of The Imperial Patriot, as detailed below.

Happily we can report that thanks to a small but still very useful bequest left to Patriotic Press in his Will by a long-standing subscriber to S.A.Patriot/The Imperial Patriot, we are now in a position to afford to publish the next issue of The Imperial Patriot, No.43, in the very near future. Work has already begun on writing this edition, and it is hoped that its distribution will have begun by the time that next month’s SCN is circulated. MESSAGE FROM THE SANWILD WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Long-standing readers will undoubtedly recall the name of Louise Joubert, the quite remarkable young woman who founded and ran the SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary in the Far Northern Transvaal, but who tragically died in a car accident in 2018. We were uncertain of what became of all her estimable wildlife conservation efforts after her devastating death, but we have recently received a message from the SanWild Wildlife Trust which confirms that her excellent work is continuing, and even though the contents of this message about the plight of hyenas is disturbing, the fact that SanWild’s endeavours are continuing is even so most encouraging. The message reads as follows :-

“Dear SanWild Friends,

“It's been a hectic couple of weeks with an unfortunate incident that involved our hyenas.

“Many of you have followed the introduction of a female hyena, Vlootjie, with our resident male, Nicholas and their release into the greater SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary during the past month. SanWild has always been a unique game reserve in that rehabilitated wild animals are afforded a second chance at freedom by being released into this protected Sanctuary.

“The biggest challenge with hand-reared or rescued wild animals is that they lose their innate fear of humans. In nature, any wild animal will flee or keep its distance from people. Even dangerous species like lions would rather shy away than attack unless they feel provoked, injured or trapped. However, this natural apprehension is not present with tame or semi-tame wild animals. In conservation circles, we refer to this condition as "human imprinting", which is the most significant obstacle rehabilitators face when releasing animals back into the wild.

“Unlike domesticated animals, wild animals will always have an unpredictable side, making them inconsistent and extremely dangerous, especially when they reach puberty.

“At SanWild, we are cognizant of this fact and manage the Sanctuary accordingly to prevent human-animal interaction by keeping safe distances, not allowing people to hike or walk around in the Sanctuary and always having an armed ranger when work is being done out in the field. Likewise, we limit human interaction to prevent human imprinting when we work with orphaned or injured animals at our rehabilitation centre.

“This brings us back to our two hyenas, Nicholas and Vlooitjie. Both of these animals came from animal rescue centres where they were hand-raised and thus do not have the same intrinsic fear of humans as wild hyenas do. Nicholas has been on SanWild for several years, wandering the Sanctuary on his own, scavenging and hunting for his food. For all purposes, a successful reintroduction back into the wild but still a risk factor for our employees working out in the field. With the introduction of Vlooitjie, we finally found Nicholas a mate, and we hoped that he would teach her the ropes of scavenging and fending for herself. What we didn't foresee was that there would be a drastic behavioural change once he had a female and formed a pack with her. Nicholas has become aggressive and unpredictable, and this factor, combined with his lack of fear for humans, makes him extremely dangerous.

“On Monday morning, 18 October 2022, Farm manager Lukas Geldenhuys and SanWild board member Johan Schoeman were working on one of the water troughs when Nicolas, with Vlooitjie in tow, charged out from the shrub and attacked Johan. Lukas fired two shots with his firearm that chased off both hyenas, but by that stage, Johan's right leg was already badly mauled. Johan was taken to Mediclinic Hospital in Tzaneen, where he underwent surgery to treat his wounds. Animal bites have a considerable risk of infection due to the bacteria involved and require intravenous antibiotics, tetanus and rabies shots to treat and prevent further complications. Johan is doing well and will be in the hospital for a few days until the doctors are sure there's no infection in his wounds.

“Due to the inherent danger that Nicholas and Vlootijie pose to our employees, both hyenas were darted and moved to an enclosure on Tuesday. It has become apparent that we will not be able to release them into the greater Sanctuary as it is simply too dangerous.

“It's with a heavy heart that we had to take away these two magnificent animals' freedom. Having them in a small enclosure is not ideal and, in many ways, goes against everything we stand for at SanWild. To make the best of a bad situation, we hope to raise funds to construct a 100-hectare (250-acre) predator enclosure allowing Nicolas and Vlooitjie a sizeable natural habitat where they can roam freely. This enclosure will require 4 km (2.5 miles) of fencing, encompassing hills, waterholes and other wildlife, recreating a smaller game reserve within the larger SanWild Sanctuary.

“Unfortunately, as a non-profit organisation, we do not have the financial means to fund this project on our own. To turn this predator enclosure into reality, we would need the support of donors and charities that would like to get involved with this endeavour.

MICHAEL VAUGHAN’S VICTORY

The fact that the Cricket Discipline Commission of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) “acquitted” former Yorkshire and England Cricket captain Michael Vaughan of the charge of “racial abuse” is of course to be welcomed – but there still remain many very disturbing aspects regarding this kangaroo trial-like case.

Firstly, why is specifically racial abuse considered a crime? Physical abuse is of course undoubtedly a crime, but merely uttering some opinions must surely be considered a matter of free speech. In Vaughan’s case he was accused of merely saying “There’s too many of you lot” [presumed to be a reference to Asians, and a comment which he denies]. Such comments can of course be heard in every pub, club and shopping arcade throughout the land from time to time, so what is therefore wrong with it, regardless of whether Vaughan uttered such words or not? There is an old maxim “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”, and this truism should surely have been born in mind by the trouble-making Azeem Rafiq.

Secondly, why was the charge against Michael Vaughan dismissed only on the “balance of probabilities”, rather than him being unambiguously declared totally innocent? It was admitted by the Commission that the accusations against him were riddled with inconsistencies, and would thus undoubtedly have been thrown out by any proper court in the land.

Thirdly, why were the other five Yorkshire players and officials accused of making “racist comments”, Tim Bresnan, Matthew Hoggard, John Blain, Andrew Gale and Richard Pyrah, all found “guilty” when they all refused to testify because of the perceived kangaroo court-style nature of the Commission’s hearings, and therefore were not able to defend themselves? At the very least such charges should have been held in abeyance until some acceptable tribunal could be established.

Finally, why was no charge brought against Rafiq himself when the Commission themselves stated that his testimony was riddled with inconsistencies, and after it was revealed that he had sent a number of anti-Semitic FaceBook messages in the past?

After the Commission’s “verdicts” were announced Michael Vaughan stated that the proceedings were: “inappropriate, inadequate and [a] backward step”. We agree with him, and call for the ECB’s Cricket Discipline Commission to be reformed so that it deals only with matters directly related to the game in future.

At the time of writing it is believed that both John Blain and Tim Bresnan are considering taking legal action through the proper courts of the land in order to clear their names against all the frivolous charges made against them by the Cricket Discipline Commission. We wish them well!

BRILLANT ARTICLE IN THE DAILY MAIL

The Daily Mail of 7th April 2023 contained a brilliant and most important article entitled “Were masks in hospitals a waste of time? Hated NHS policy made ‘no difference’ to Covid infection rates, study finds”. Although this article is crouched in rather moderate terms and the research relates only to the ineffectiveness of face-masks in hospitals (why if they were ineffective in hospitals aren’t they ineffective everywhere?) it even so provides valuable evidence to present to those idiots who still go around wearing those ridiculous face-masks! WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.293: Mr. VAUGHAN FRIEND of Rhodesia and the Isle of Sheppey

Vaughan Friend was born in Rhodesia, but moved to the U.K. during the 1980s, settling on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. A keen sportsman (particularly an avid Golfer), he became a founding member of the East Kent Branch (now the Kent Branch) of Rhodesians Worldwide, and remained active in the organisation throughout the 1990s. Alas he disappeared from the scene during the 2000s, and nobody seemed to know what had happened to him, although there was a rumour that he had married and moved to Australia. It would however be great to be able to re-make contact with him.

The article in the November 2022 Edition of the SCN on the drought in Addo is bad news indeed. But please reassure the correspondent from the Animal Survival International organisation that diesel powered pumps are definitely acceptable as the AGW climate change crisis is an almighty scam of immense proportions. Please read my note below.

AN IRREFUTABLE CLAIM FOR A.G.W. CLIMATE CHANGE

The AGW claims for causing Climate Change are continually being promoted by many institutions, including the IPCC, the media, (BBC, Sky TV, The Guardian for example), and politicians. The UK is being subjected to crippling costs due to scrapping coal fired power stations (at the EU’s demand) and trying to replace them with renewable forms of energy. This is costing a fortune for UK taxpayers as renewables are unreliable, very expensive and demand huge subsidies. Our cars are being banned in favour of EV’s which again raise horrendous operational problems.

Incredibly this is all for absolutely no benefit whatsoever! In fact it is probably an enormous dis-benefit to human existence. Why?

A graph contained in the link below defines the effect on global warming due to increasing levels of CO2. This proves beyond any doubt that increasing CO2 has an imperceptible effect on increasing earth’s temperature. This graph is copied from a lecture given by Dr Tom Sheahan. Hence:

1 Talking of reparations for third world countries is a ridiculously ludicrous idea as any increase in the worlds CO2 due to our industrial revolution has a vanishingly small effect on global warming.

2 Promoting Climate Change (meaning AGW induced Climate Change) is totally and criminally, FAKE propaganda.

3 Using CO2 levels to debate Climate Change is a worthless exercise as CO2 makes a vanishingly small effect on global warming. Especially, as the UK produces only 1% of the world’s 3% annual human production of CO2. YET the stupid Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy “provided £1,173,666.21 (excl. VAT) to the contractor responsible for delivering the ongoing UK Greenhouse Gas Inventory For the 2021/2022 financial year. The outputs of this work included providing the data for the 2020 UK Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report, and also a number of other products”. What a colossal waste of taxpayers’ money!

4 Reducing CO2 is probably having the opposite effect to that required for the world’s population! If CO2 level gets too low all world vegetation will die and mankind with it! More CO2 increases world greening and plant growth! (Proven by satellite observations and greenhouse use of CO2.

5 Dr Sheahan also makes the point that Methane, CH4 and Nitrous Oxide, N2O are also insignificant with regard to global warming and even less effective than the vanishingly small effect of CO2.

Sir,

People forget history. Men sacrificed their youth, they fought against tyranny, many died so that we could have our freedoms that we have today.

South Africans also sacrificed for our freedoms. They stepped forward in the World Wars, then they stood firm to stop the spread of Communism in Africa, our young men fought and many died in Angola with bravery, honour and commitment.

All of us have been betrayed by the elite, and if we don’t do something about it soon they will use our sons and daughters, who they are brainwashing against us. Call me a liar, call me crazy, but remember how they used our military and police forces around the world to enforce their lockdowns for the lie of a worldwide virus, remember that they are already for casting another one next year.

OBITUARIES

PROFESSOR DAVID MARSLAND

It was with great sadness that we recently learnt of the death of that great friend of our movement, Professor David Marsland.

David Marsland was born in 1939 at Watford, and educated at Watford Grammar School and Christ’s College, Cambridge, where he studied classics, before taking a post-graduate course in sociology at LSE. Unlike most sociology graduates he was no Leftist, proudly terming himself a Thatcherite and a Neo-Conservative and delighting in baiting his fellow sociologists with some of his more forthright Right-wing opinions. He went on to become a lecturer at Brunel University, where he was a firm advocate of the “the market” being the best method by which society should function, and advocated the privatisation of as many of the state’s institutions as possible, as well as believing that individual self-reliance and enterprise were far more effective means of eliminating poverty than the welfare-state.

His main interests outside academia and politics were the traditional pursuits of patriotic activists – sport and wildlife! He was a staunch supporter of the State of Israel and of the cause of Ulster Unionism, and was also an uncompromising supporter of the West’s War against Islamic terrorism. He was also a fierce opponent of “political correctness” in all its forms, arguing forcefully that it was an unacceptable attack on free speech.

David Marsland spoke several times at Swinton Circle (now part of the Patriotic Forum) meetings, and also addressed the Springbok Club in July 2004, where he delivered a speech entitled “Fighting for Freedom – Fighting Tough!”. A copy of this superb speech can be accessed at :-

L/Cpl KEANE SMIRTHWAITE

It was with great shock and devastating sadness that we learnt of the tragic death of L/Cpl Keane Smirthwaite last month at the tragically early age of only 22.

Keane Smirthwaite, who had Anglo-Welsh ancestry, was born at Gillingham, Kent, in 2000 and educated at Byron Road Junior School, Gillingham, and at Brompton Academy. He excelled at school in I.T. and took a great interest in history. He was also a keen sportsman, being an avid supporter of West Ham United. Most importantly, however, he proved himself to be a firm and dedicated patriot, and was a staunch believer in the Odinist faith.

After school his patriotic sentiments encouraged him to join the Army, with his I.T. expertise making it natural for him to enlist in the Royal Corps of Signals. Once in the Army he excelled at all form of technical communications, and was soon promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. He was also recognised as having natural teaching abilities, and became a valued instructor of younger recruits.

In 2022 Keane married his childhood sweetheart Danielle “Dani” Baker, and they produced a fine son, Haydn, with a second child being on the way at the time of his untimely death.

Earlier this year he was stationed to Estonia, and it was here where he met his sudden death, which the Ministry of Defence has only described as being in “unexplained circumstances”. He was given a full military funeral earlier this month, which proved to be a highly emotional though strangely uplifting event, with his coffin being carried out to the tune of the West Ham theme song, “I’m for ever blowing bubbles” and three rounds being fired over his grave by the escort party. The 15th Signal Regiment of the Royal Corps of Signals, with which Keane served, are to be congratulated upon performing such a moving and faultless ceremony.

Keane Smirthwaite’s oh too short life gives the lie to those – even those of our own patriotic persuasion – who claim that the current younger generation does not possess the same virtuous qualities as earlier generations of Britons. His short life proved that our nation and people can still produce the same brave and dedicated patriots as our parents’ and forefathers’ generations did. The memory of Keane Smirthwaite will always remain with those of us who knew him, even though this was only for a cruelly short period, and will inspire us to re-double our efforts to advance the patriotic ideals and beliefs which Keane stood for.

Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to Dani and to the rest of Keane’s family, and trust that in the years ahead they will be able to convey to Haydn and to his as yet unborn second child what a great and inspirational man their father was, and sincerely hope that they will be able to maintain and continue his life’s ideals.

As a stanchly Unionist movement we cannot help but be delighted at the recent turmoils which have engulfed the splittist Scottish National Party (SNP).

The problems which have overwhelmed the SNP actually started with the criminal prosecution of the party’s former leader Alex Salmond, who was charged on 14 counts of attempted rape, sexual assault and indecent assault. Although Salmond was found not guilty on 12 of the charges (not proven on another and one charge withdrawn), these verdicts of innocence did not seem to please Salmond’s successor as SNP leader, Nicola “Gnasher” Sturgeon (they had previously been “the best of buddies”), and he was ostracised from all positions in the party as a result – consequently breaking away completely to form his own Alba Party.

But it is another sexual controversy of a completely different nature which has been the cause of the current conflicts embroiling the SNP. “Gnasher” Sturgeon resigned as leader of the SNP both suddenly and unexpectedly last month – and with only an incoherent explanation for so doing. Prior to her resignation, however, “Gnasher” Sturgeon’s Scottish “government” forced through so-called “gender recognition” legislation (lunatic proposals - many would even say evil proposals - which would allow people legally to change their gender from that which nature said was the case!), but although none of the sheep-like SNP MSPs dared vote against this lunacy, it is believed that privately the majority of them were alarmed at what was happening - especially when it led to a convicted rapist being sent to a women’s jail - and as a result the men in tartan suits told “Gnasher” that her time was up!

The resulting SNP leadership contest has thrown up a bizarre set of candidates, which shows that the SNP is hopelessly divided and has no idea where it is going. The favourite surprisingly seems to be Kate Forbes, a staunch member of the Free Church of Scotland, a denomination which takes a praiseworthy stance on moral issues, not only opposing “gender recognition” lunacy but also being opposed to all forms of sexual perversion and to abortion. Although it might seem odd to many that such a staunch Protestant would be associated with an anti-Unionist party like the SNP, the fact of the matter is that historically many “wee frees” have supported the SNP, as in Scotland – unlike in Ulster – the internal Protestant divide between Presbyterianism and Anglicanism has remained strong. The second favourite seems to be even more bizarre however, namely Humza Yousaf, who, as his name clearly indicates, is not Scottish but a Pakistani Muslim. So much therefore for Scottish “nationalism”! Yousaf is regarded as the “continuity candidate”, i.e. he is expected to continue with the Sturgeon’s policies – “gender recognition” nonsense and all! For a practising Muslim to take such a stance on the matter of sexual perversion surely says all that needs to be said about the Mohammedan religion – as well as the SNP’s relationship to it! The final candidate, and apparent outsider, is Ashten Regan. She also seems opposed to all the “gender recognition” lunacy, but also appears to have the most extreme policy regarding ensuring Scotland’s breakaway from the rest of the United Kingdom – which even many of the most hardline nationalists realise is totally impractical and laughable.

So there we have it then. The SNP is now hilariously split into three factions – with Alex Salmond waiting in the wings for a possible comeback, meaning a four-way split! For all Unionists this is of course music to our ears, and so we should perhaps remember he original fourth verse of the British National Anthem, written at the time of an earlier Jacobite insurrection in 1745 :-

Lord grant that Marshal Wade, May by thy mighty aid Victory bring. May he sedition hush, And like a torrent rush Rebellious Scots to crush! God save the King!

In 2023 there is clearly no need for a second Marshal Wade to arise to crush rebellious Scots, as they happily seem to be crushing themselves!

But it is a quote from an earlier great and Loyal Scotsman which perhaps we should bear in mind the most at this time to remind us of the necessity not only to crush nationalist sedition, but also to ensure that the Unionist ideals of a previous era are finally enacted – an injunction voiced by King James VI of Scotland when he became King James I of Great Britain in 1603: And I will make them One Nation!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club held a most enjoyable and extremely successful meeting last month, which was addressed by Mr. Gavin Sandeman. Mr. Sandeman had of course given an enthralling talk at the Springbok Club’s November meeting, when he read from some fascinating letters and diary entries written by his illustrious distant relative Cmd. E.C. "Teddy" Tyndale-Biscoe (who of course first raised the Union Flag over what became Salisbury, Rhodesia, in 1890) about early life in Rhodesia during the 1890s. In his latest talk he continued reading from these enthralling historical documents (which were contained in the Sandeman Family Clan Magazine), and which this time covered the early years of the 20th Century and included accounts about life in southern Africa at the time written by other members of the Sandeman family.

On Saturday 25th March the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to Chislehurst in order to visit the famous Chislehurst Caves, and also to view sites associated with Emperor Napoleon III (Louis Napoleon) and his son the Prince Imperial, who spent several years in exile at Camden Place, Chislehurst. If you wish to see Camden Place then assemble at Chislehurst Railway Station between 12.15 hrs and 12.30 hrs, but if you’d simply like to visit the Caves then assemble at the Bickley Arms (which is adjacent to Chislehurst Railway Station) between 13.00 hrs and 13.45 hrs. Both groups will re-assemble at the Bickley Arms in order to join a conducted tour of the Caves commencing at 14.00 hrs (there will be a £8.00 charge to visit the Caves, concessions at £6.00). After this the Springbok Club party will return to the Bickley Arms where, inter alia, Mr. Gary Vincent will give a PowerPoint presentation about the life of the Prince Imperial and his tragic death whilst servicing in the British Army during the Zulu Wars. On Sunday 30th April the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will be staging a visit to the famous Rochester Sweeps’ festival. More precise details about this event will be given in next month’s SCN. In May the Springbok Club will be holding a special meeting in order to celebrate Empire Day, and in June the organisation will be staging a weekend’s trip to Portsmouth in order to see both HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.

MESSAGE FROM ANIMAL SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL

We have recently received the following most important report from the Animal Survival International organisation about the plight of marine mammals. It reads as follows :-

“A truly terrifying statistic is that every year, more than 300,000 whales, dolphins and porpoises die after getting entangled in fishing nets, with devastating effects on the different species. Some drown immediately, while those who survive their initial entanglement endure many painful months, ultimately bleeding out from deep wounds or dying of starvation because their ability to dive and feed is impaired.

“The situation is even more critical now because peak calving season has begun along the South African coastline.

“The risk to whales is particularly high in South African waters which are part of humpback whales’ yearly migratory route and where southern right and Bryde’s whales go to mate and give birth – in areas where, to make matters worse, illegal fishing is rife. Once whales get entangled in fishing nets, they can’t dive as deep or as easily which means they catch less food and slowly but steadily become weaker, with fatal consequences. When this happens to mother whales, they struggle to nurse their calves while dragging the fishing gear they are entangled in - simultaneously while weakening from injuries they may have sustained.

“The great whales of our seas barely escaped being hunted to extinction. We cannot let fishing gear entanglements push them over the edge. We can have a positive impact - we can save lives - but we need your continued support.

“As the international fishing industry grows, the problem is getting worse. Fortunately, there are brave and dedicated expert teams that put their lives on the line to help free entangled whales. Our partner, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), responds anywhere along the entire South African coastline to free whales from life-threatening entanglements.

“These highly trained teams are on 24-hour standby - as soon as they get a report of an entangled whale, they take to the seas.

“It is a dangerous job, requiring skill and rigorous training. NSRI volunteer teams must get close to these stressed, giant wild animals - often in wild open seas. Using specially designed knives and hooks at the end of long poles, and working lines and kedging buoys, they free the whales from ropes and nets, while being careful to not cause them further injury.

“Freeing whales requires specialized equipment. For this reason, NSRI reached out to ASI for support in funding the purchase of a whale disentanglement kit and the training of 10 new disentanglement experts.

“During peak calving season for whales along the South African coastline - which, again, is right now - even more newborn calves and their mothers are at risk of becoming entangled in relentless fishing gear. If we can raise another $2,000 (£1,500), we can fund the purchase of two additional whale disentanglement kits for the NSRI. $2,000 does not seem like a lot to make a major contribution to the well-being of whales.

“Disentanglement procedures are filmed to give researchers valuable information about the identity of the animal, the damage caused by the entanglement, and the size and species of the whale. The teams also recover the nets, buoys and ropes causing the entanglement so that skin samples can be extracted to record DNA information in the research database.

“We must continue to help better equip the NSRI’s expert whale disentanglement teams so we can save more whale lives.

“Habitat loss, pollution, loss of food sources, toxic substances, sonar testing and incidental by-catch are just some of the dangers these majestic animals still face. Global warming and changes in food availability mean these whales are spending longer periods in waters around Southern Africa.

“Migrating whales can be seen along the country’s coastline from June up until as late as December each year. We MUST make sure the whale disentanglement teams at the stations along the country’s coastline are fully equipped to respond rapidly to all whale-entanglement reports.

LINEKER MUST GO!

Gary Lineker played soccer 80 times for England. He was undoubtedly a talented footballer, and his subsequent media career showed that he possessed broadcasting talents as well. The recent controversy over certain tweets which he made shows however that there is something darker, something more sinister, something quite disgusting about the man.

Contrary to what many claim, the most important matter in this controversy is not the question of free speech, nor whether Lineker’s comments broke BBC guidelines, but rather the actual contents of his tweets, and what they showed about Lineker’s mindset and motivation. Even though he had represented his country at international level, he openly advocated support for parasitical foreigners who have been invading the same country which he had represented, sickeningly even referring to those who could afford to pay thousands of Dollar to people-smugglers so that they could then sponge off the assets of a country which was not their own as “poor souls”. The only “poor souls” involved in the whole illegal immigrant crisis are of course the ordinary British people who are now facing severe threats to their well-being from those who have no links to their country, but who are now being allowed to wreck havoc in the advanced country which their British ancestors built up!

Lineker is a disgrace, he is a charlatan, he is a traitor. Not only should he be sacked from all positions within the BBC, but as he evidently has no love for the country of his birth nor for its people which he once represented on the football field, but rather sides with those who attempt to invade and steal from that country, he should clearly return all the awards and other paraphernalia which he gained during his international career!

CAMPAIGN VICTORY: VILE GLASTONBURY FOOTAGE REMOVED BY THE BBC!

We have recently received the following most encouraging message from the British Freedom Party concerning the success of their campaign against the BBC for broadcasting footage of obscene acts appearing at the controversial Glastonbury Music Festival. It reads as follows :-

Steve Ford was the manager of the St.George’s Hotel in Durban during the late 1970s. He proved to be a very popular hotelier, and as a result was promoted and transferred within the Gooderson’s Hotel Group to the Fairydene Hotel (subsequently the Rebel Inn) in Pinetown. It is believed however that after this he moved to an even higher hotel management position in Johannesburg, though nothing more is known about him since then. It would therefore be very interesting to learn what actually became of him.

On the contrary it has given protection and encouragement to those Ukrainians (Russians) who have been slaughtered in their homes for years with the full support of NATO and the EU.

But you are right to compare with Northern Ireland. Another comparison would be Kosovo which the West illegally recognised without any referendum.

MONKEY PUZZLE

Sir,

I saw what you said about Dr. Fauci and, rest assured, he is very evil. In fact, while this is just suspicion, I suspect his gain-of-function research might be afoot again.

The date today is July 24th. As of today, Monkeypox (a very uncomfortable disease) has somehow exploded in Europe, and we have a big outbreak in New York City. However, don't you find it rather odd & convenient that a contagious disease which has rarely ever been seen outside its originating continent just now is hitting Europe & America not only as we reopen, but also are about to hold an election in which the American Republican Party is so deeply poised to make massive gains?

I am suspicious that someone released this intentionally. I have no proof of that. But, however this terrible disease got to Europe & New York City, I noticed that it apparently started mainly among homosexual men. All morals aside, I know from treating AIDS patients that homosexual men would be the ideal group to target to intentionally release this kind of disease as there are inherent health risks to the physical action, as well as a high degree of promiscuity among most of them. If this was done on purpose (as it is a convenient emergency before another election which neither the American Democratic Party nor China want to be free-&-fair), well, I do not have words. I'm concerned this might be Deep State bioterrorism.

What's gradually happening now is the disease is spreading to other groups and also completely innocent children as it is contagious. It's very odd to have another rare disease start to spread only two years and change after the first. And, the time at which it took off (only four months before a very important American Mid-Term) makes me deeply suspicious. We'll see if my doubts turn out to be misplaced, but I'm wondering if a state agency might have dumped another virus on us again. [Albeit, it might be a knock-on effect from all the Covid masks etc.]

THE “SAVE RHODESIA CAMPAIGN’S” FASHION SHOWS

In the December 2003 Edition of the SCN we featured Jenny Toms in our “Where are they Now?” section.

Jenny Toms was a most remarkable woman who bubbled over with energy. Rhodesian-born, she was once runner-up in the Miss Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland competition. She worked in P.R. in Rhodesia, specialising in the fashion industry, but with the impending fall of Rhodesia she moved south to Natal. Being a staunch Rhodesian patriot, however, she almost immediately joined the Durban Branch of the Save Rhodesia Campaign (SRC), proving to be a keen and energetic activist within the organisation, and bringing her undoubted talents to its advantage. Chief among these talents was her ability to organise fashion shows, and she staged several spectacular shows to raise funds for the SRC during the late 1970s, featuring some of the leading local models of the time, including the then current University of Natal Rag Queen, a finalist in the previous year’s Miss South Africa competition, and even Charmaine Gale, the South African champion High Jumper who was also a semi-professional model.

Jenny Toms’ fashion shows not only brought in funds for the SRC, but also gained the organisation much publicity – and managed to reach out to a new section of supporters who wouldn’t have been attracted to a patriotic organisation which was only interested in politics. This perhaps is a lesson which the patriotic movement around the West should learn today. To be successful the movement must be far more “rounded” taking a keen interest in the activities which appeal to all sections of patriots away from politics – sports, music, and yes, even fashion!

Jenny Toms was a true and great Rhodesian patriot. Her energetic involvement with the SRC should never be forgotten, and the memory of her activism and the fashion shows which she organised should motivate a new generation of patriots!

In the February 2020 Edition of the SCN we observed how HRH The Duke of York had been accused – and then almost universally condemned – of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an American teenager, Virginia Giuffre, without being given any opportunity to defend himself, and then having to pay a rumoured £12 million to the former sex-worker, even though there was no form of collaborated evidence produced against him which would have stood up in a court of law. We further observed that there was widespread speculation that pressure had been placed on the Duke by mysterious forces inside the Palace to “settle” at any price in order not to distract from the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

We have also commented about how the only “evidence” which has been produced to show that HRH The Duke of York ever met Ms.Giuffre, a re-produced photograph showing him with his arm round the young woman, was clearly fabricated, for if this photograph was genuine then he must have an extremely long left arm! More recently we have learnt that a PhotoShop expert has asserted that the angle of the Duke’s head in this notorious picture is clearly unnatural, thus confirming that it was faked, and even more devastatingly a picture has been produced showing that the bath in the London mews house of Ghislaine Maxwell where Ms.Giuffre claimed to share in a love tryst with the Duke was too small to hold two adult people!

The most significant development in this saga, however, has been the withdrawal of similar allegations made by Ms.Giuffre against Mr.Alan Dershowitz, the prominent New York lawyer, with her now stating clearly that her “identification of Dershowitz might have been a mistake”. As a result of this back-tracking by Ms.Giuffre the Duke is now evidently being advised to take legal action both to clear his name and to recover the estimated £12 million extortionate settlement figure which he had been forced to pay.

HRH The Duke of York of course enjoyed a distinguished career in the Royal Navy, serving for 22 years and rising to the rank of Vice Admiral. During the Falklands War he served with great bravery as a Sea King Helicopter pilot on board HMS Invincible, when his very life was constantly in danger. His subsequent RN career was no less illustrious, as he served in potentially dangerous patrols during the final days of the Cold War and the advent of international terrorism. After his Naval service was over he carried on serving his nation by becoming the UK’s Special Representative on International Trade and Investment. In this post he was very successful, in spite of being dubbed “Air Miles Andy” by the Leftist press (how else could anyone boost trade and investments without clocking up lots of Air Miles?), and managed to secure many beneficial trade deals and investments for Britain. To be sure, his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the American multi-millionaire financier, without checking his bona fides was naïve and damaging, but his motivation in trying to obtain massive investments from him into Britain was good.

So why therefore is HRH The Duke of York still being demonised in certain quarters, especially after the late Queen gave her ostentations support to him by insisting that he accompanied her in one of her last public appearances. The suggestion has been made that it is because of “sibling jealousy”, for after all the Duke was constantly more popular than his elder brother during their younger days. Gavin Sandeman of course spoke at the Springbok Club's November buffet/meeting, when he read from some fascinating letters and diary entries written by his illustrious distant relative Cmd. E.C. "Teddy" Tyndale-Biscoe, who of course first raised the Union Flag over what became Salisbury, Rhodesia, in 1890. Unfortunately Gavin didn't have time to read all these letters and diary entries about life in Rhodesia during the 1890s on that occasion, so we have therefore invited him back to continue reading from these engrossing historical documents, and also to tell a bit more about the exploits of other members of his extended Sandeman family around the British Empire.

Gavin was proud to be born in 1946 when our King/Emperor George VI was on the Throne and we still had a worldwide Empire.

After school he went straight into advertising agency work during the "swinging sixties". He then migrated to Canada, before returning to work again in advertising and printing. He was made redundant in 2001 and thereafter worked for himself running a marketing agency; which he regards as the best days of his life.

His Edwardian and Victorian forebears travelled throughout the World to work and fight. Australia, India, Mesopotamia, Canada and Rhodesia all saw their presence. His Father was with landing craft flotillas in the Invasion of Italy, and gained an MBE.

Gavin is committed to fight against modern "wokery", the re-writing of our Imperial history, and all things connected with the desecration of our heritage.

If you arrive prior to 14.30 hrs then assemble in the main ground-floor bar, or in any of the adjacent rooms. Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese serves high-class food, which can be ordered either before or after the meeting.

In late March the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to Chislehurst in order to visit the famous Chislehurst Caves, and also the house where Emperor Napoleon III (Louis Napoleon) spent the final few years of his life. In late April the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will be staging a visit to the famous Rochester Sweeps’ festival. More precise details about both these events will be given in next month’s SCN.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS

The Patriotic Forum held its annual Burns Night/Australia Day celebration last month (it was Australia Day in Australia itself at the time!). This proved to be a most pleasant event, with a haggis meal being enjoyed after the haggis was addressed in the traditional fashion, and a message of greetings from an Australian supporter was conveyed via WhatsApp. Earlier this month a number of Patriotic Forum members also celebrated New Zealand Day in a small but enthusiastic manner.

MESSAGE FROM THE NETWORK FOR ANIMALS ORGANISATION

We have recently received the following most concerning report from the Network for Animals organisation about the plight of domestic cats in Zimbabwe (the erstwhile Southern Rhodesia). It reads as follows :-

“Annabel and the other cats of Zimbabwe DESERVE THE BEST WE CAN GIVE THEM - modern enclosures, comfy beds and access to a safe space to play. Please, help us!

“All Annabelle did to end up abandoned at an animal shelter was BE A CAT in Zimbabwe! Please, will you help us help her and many other cats and kittens who have been discarded?

”Annabelle clawed at a carpet in her owners’ home, and when she was punished, her fear made her lose control of her bowels. This caused more ‘damage’ to the rug and made her owners even angrier. It was the final straw for these callous, cold-hearted people, and they dumped her at a shelter and drove away, never to think of her again. Annabelle is only a year old and she will most probably live out the rest of her life at the shelter.

”Every year, unwanted cats and kittens pour into the Friend Animal Foundation shelter - it is their last, and only, hope. It isn’t ‘home’, but it’s all they have.

“There are so many difficulties facing animals unlucky enough to be born in Zimbabwe. The country’s dreadful economic state means that there’s barely enough food for the people, let alone the animals. As a result, helpless animals are born into poverty, left to die of hunger or disease, or abused to death by brutal owners. Only the ‘luckiest’ of these little souls end up at our partner shelter in Harare, the Friend Animal Foundation (FAF).

”FAF is not ‘home’, but it is the closest thing to it for the shelter’s 110 dumped, discarded and homeless cats - just like Annabelle. Some have been abandoned because they are “costly” or no longer “cute kittens”; others were born on the streets and were fortunate enough to be saved by the FAF team. And many are simply feral, fearful and fresh out of hope.

“Cats in Harare CANNOT be left on the streets. They risk being harmed by evil people, hit by cars, or starving to death. They WILL die - it’s simply a matter of WHEN.

“All these sweet creatures deserve loving homes, but few Zimbabweans are interested in adopting animals, or have the means to do so. The cats currently live in specially built enclosures, and FAF has done its best to make these ‘homey’.

“But, having recently come back from the brink of closure, FAF’s resources are pitifully limited. The enclosures are in real need of improvement - the beds are old and stimulation for the cats is sorely lacking. They languish in these bleak areas day after day, year after year.

”Despite this, so many of the cats are friendly and affectionate, desperate for any little bit of human attention. They purr when you touch them and nuzzle in for cuddles and affection. They are just so sweet, and so grateful to be safe.

“Would you want your sickly, beloved pet to recover from illness in a dreary, concrete room devoid of warmth? Of course, you wouldn’t. The cats of FAF deserve better too!

“The cats at FAF are unlikely ever to be adopted, so we must make their enclosures as comfortable and homey as possible. The quarantine area for sickly cats is currently a dismal concrete area - totally unsuited to recovery from serious illness or injury. Would you want to recover in a place like this - or worse, let your beloved cat recover here, with little comfort or cheer?

”The quarantine area, as well as the areas in which the cats live, are in desperate need of refurbishment. FAF also has plans to improve the area in which the elderly cats live out their final years - they dream of giving them safe access to the garden and a sunny, warm space to enjoy their last days or months after suffering so much hardship.

“If, with your help, we can raise the $5,000 (£4,100) required, we can give the FAF cat enclosures the upliftment they desperately need. We can give the cats more space to move around, warmer and comfier beds, and brighter, happier spaces in which to live and recover from their heartbreaking ordeals.

“Your support will help make the animals so happy. It will change their lives!

“Please, will you be a friend to the cats of Friend Animal Foundation, and donate now? They deserve so much better than what life has dealt them thus far, and with your help, we can give them the happiness and comfort they desperately crave and deserve.

SUPPORT THE WOMEN NORDIC COMBINERS

The decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) not to include a Women’s Nordic Combined event at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo is to be utterly condemned. Nordic Combined is now therefore the only discipline in the Winter Olympics where there are not events for both genders. Women’s events in Nordic Combined may have been rather slow in coming about, but there have been Women’s Nordic Combined World Cup competitions for several years now, and a Women’s Nordic Combined event was included in the Nordic World Ski Championships of 2020. So why therefore has the IOC refused to sanction a similar event in the 2026 Winter Olympics? It seems to be for no other reason than pure sexism, which is surely unacceptable in the Olympic movement. At this year’s Women’s Nordic Combined World Cup events all competitors raised their ski-poles in an X-formation to signify “no eXception”, and one competitor, Gyda Westvold Hansen of Norway, painted a “beard” on her chin in protest. We of course fully support this protest by the Women Nordic Combiners, and hope that as many of our supporters as possible will sign their petition at :-

SOUND WORDS FROM WETHERSPOONS

The Springbok Club’s Burns Night Haggis Dinner was held at a Wetherspoons’ pub in central London, where copies of the current edition of the pub chain’s publication Wetherspoon News were found. This publication turned out to contain a very interesting feature entitled “Down with Declinism”, which was basically a re-print of an excellent article written by Prof. Robert Tombs of Cambridge University which appeared in The Spectator of 8 July 2017. The inclusion of this superbly written article had been prompted by a pessimistic and defeatist article written by Matthew Parris which appeared in The Times of 29 July 2022, and argued that sentiments similar to those expressed by Parris that Britain was somehow in terminal decline – especially as a result of Brexit – were totally false, and that Britain was not declining in economic power nor in global influence compared to other major world players, and that “Brexit was a vote of confidence in our ability to shape our future as an independent democratic nation”.

Although we may not agree with all the points made (the assertions that the British Empire did not bring great economic benefit to Britain and that the abandonment of Empire did not diminish Britain’s influence around the world are clearly wrong), Prof. Tombs is even so to be congratulated upon writing such a well-analysed article – and the management of Wetherspoons are to be congratulated upon re-printing it and circulating it so widely. As they accurately assert, pessimism and declinism (or as we would call it defeatism) are the main enemies being faced by the British nation today – something which manifests itself as “despair (from the right) and glee (from the left)”. It is obvious that the Left have a vested interest in asserting that Britain is in terminal decline – but why do so many from the so-called Right also peddle the declinist/defeatist lie? As we have often implied in the past – particularly in the editorial of the August 2022 Edition of the SCN, specifically regarding the acceptance by so many so-called patriots of the exaggerated ‘official’ figures of non-Whites living in he UK – those who claim to be on our side, but who willingly propagate defeatism and hopelessness, are more insidious enemies of our cause than our more overt foes. Let’s hope therefore that these defeatists somehow manage to read Prof.Tombs’ brilliant article!

SHAMEFUL DECISION BY SOUTH AFRICA RUGBY

Earlier this year South Africa Rugby (the governing body for Rugby Union in the “new” South Africa) invited the Israeli Rugby club Tel Aviv Heat to compete in a second-tier competition – but 24 hours later this invitation was withdrawn following pressure placed on South Africa Rugby by the anti-Semitic ANC regime. The ANC had of course always opposed the policy of separate development in South Africa (when teams were still allowed to compete in the country, albeit on a segregated basis) condemning it as “racist” – yet here they now are refusing to let a team compete in the country at all purely on the grounds of their race! The hypocrisy of the ANC regime – and the cowardice of South Africa Rugby in meekly kow-towing to the ANC’s demands - are sickening.

No.291: Ms. JANET HALE of Rhodesia and Durban

Janet Hale was a Rhodesian by birth, and worked for a while as a croupier at the Victoria Falls Casino. Tall and attractive, she moved south to Durban in the late 1970s, and became actively involved with the Durban Branch of the Save Rhodesia Campaign. Alas however she didn’t seem to understand what the organisation stood for, and objected when the SRC gave a platform to Dr.Colin Barlow, the leader of the Rhodesian Action Party, when he toured South Africa in late 1978, and resigned from the organisation as a result. She formed a close relationship with David Dodds, the Durban Branch’s official photographer (see August 2002 SCN), but it is not known whether they ever married. It would be very interesting to learn what became of her.

DRUG CULTURE

Sir,

The article about the Global Covid Summit which you circulated is an excellent piece. As I've said before, I really feel (from a medical perspective) that the genesis of this social control - or a good chunk of it - was America's opioid crisis.

Once America cruised into 2015, suddenly a media hysteria developed about opioids in America. In fact, there was some abuse because of deficiencies in prescription, but what quickly happened next was a manageable problem became a media sensation which then rapidly turned into (mainly) a street crisis. However, rather than go after the Mexican Cartels & illegal Chinese labs which support them, or the illegal aliens who peddle in the street opioids which really cause most of America's high opioid deaths, what happened was suddenly long-standing, life-saving medications like morphine, etc., somehow became 'automatic addiction' and evil incarnate and any legitimate patient who needed them was branded a crook or a druggie.

So, then the U.S. government swooped in with ridiculous policies and chronic pain patients (like me) suddenly became criminals, or untouchables. Good doctors, like Dr. Forrest Tennant, who even invented methadone clinics to treat real addicts, were silenced and shutdown with their patients left to suffer or die. All the research became nothing more than bias-confirmation. The rights of chronic pain patients with horrible, incurable diseases (like me) were promptly destroyed, our privacy was violated in never-ending ways, our human rights no longer existed and I would mark that American opioid crisis as one of the earlier experiments in this kind of mass social control.

Understand, when I was a volunteer nurse at an AIDS clinic nothing came before human rights in that medical facility. In medicine, it matters not to me if someone is a criminal and the FBI might be outside waiting to arrest them, or even if they broke my country's immigration law & Immigration is waiting outside to arrest them, or if they were just a law-abiding, misguided soul. At least for so long as they were under my medical care, until they leave that clinic, I had a moral obligation to treat them. As these doctors said, medicine MUST be separate from anything else. Yet, with today's evil Medicrats, now we even have anti-Caucasian hospital admissions being proposed in several major American cities. Disgusting!

To close, I had a conversation with a 36-year old American nurse about this recently. He promptly rattled on about all of these opioid lies and said that most opioid patients become addicts after even the first treatment. However, when I replied: "Well, if that is true, why is it that none of this happens with opioid patients/chronic pain patients in Thailand? Why is it that Thailand can go months in a row without a single opioid overdose?"

I received no reply. The answer, however, is obvious - Thailand does not have hardly any opioid overdoses because these U.S. FDA approved, life-saving medicines, which in some cases have been used since the 19th century, are really not the problem. Culture, mass-media and government gone amuck is really the problem and this culture is very different.

So, I just wanted to add that. I know I mentioned it in our experimental Zoom meeting a year ago. Yet, as I watch my students' rights being violated with involuntary ATK tests shoved up their noses and watch this youth ruined by masks, forced home-stays and so on, I think we need to take a good look back at America's opioid crisis. I really do feel that, in large part, the set-up probably began there, as well as with the first SARS outbreak some years ago.

WORLD VIEW

Sir,

Thanks for my copy of the latest SCN. It was many years ago that I was a member of the Swinton Circle [now part of the Patriotic Forum – Ed.]. I moved from London to the west coast of Canada in 2008.

George Orwell gets a mention here. He got it right but of course had no way of anticipating the technology revolution that was to take place. I'm afraid that many of the very serious issues and problems that are described here were inevitable. A global population that grew from around 1.6 Billion to 8 Billion in 100 years and continues to grow by over 80 Million per annum come what may. I worked in between 35 and 40 countries over many years and for many companies (UK, Canadian, US, NZ and French), initially East and West Europe and Egypt, and from the mid 1970's all Middle East countries, including Iran, the Levant and the Maghreb and the whole of the Indian sub-continent. My work took me all over those countries and into industry and many levels of government. If I were living in poverty in any one of those countries then I to would do everything possible to move to the UK, US, EU or Canada etc.. I never did work in South America, sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean etc., and millions there could be described as living in poverty.

Corporations and Governments would now rather put their faith and investments into IT rather than humans. IT works 24/7, does not seek a pay rise or, often, get sick. Whatever the public needs, point them towards the web-site. Of course the many millions of migrants moving to the "developed world" are less likely to complain about their "Human Rights" than locals, and are more "flexible" in their attitude to being on minimum wage, being overloaded/abused. There are companies around the world who specialise in providing large groups of workers, either on a work permit basis, that so often leads to permanent residency, or as legal immigrants. At one time I knew the Filipino community in London. They had a duty to send funds back home and would take on all kinds of part time jobs. They would often sleep 4 to a room.

Another big problem is that even when serious crimes are exposed by whistle-blowers or investigative journalists the establishment (central/local government, the Church, the Police and Military etc) react by burying that news. "We must not undermine public confidence in these institutions".

Who is it that now sets the standards for the general public? Sunak, his wife and their billions? Other Ministers of State? Liz Truss? Tony Blair? Those "entrepreneurs" who made many many millions out of the Covid panic. Titles, consultancy contracts to old political friends and supporters? Princes Harry ? That old revolving door between Westminster, Whitehall and "The City" or industry.

It works like this: Cameron, BoJo, Sunak et al sit around the conference table in Downing Street. They discuss all current issues and challenges and agree on policy. Then all justifications are agreed and the scripts written using marketing and spin. Just like selling any other product. Self interest, family interests, a title, a fortune, nepotism, returning favours/you scratch mine and I'll scratch your old boy! All very difficult to resist for some. Again, much better to bury bad news than admit very serious failings by The Party and individuals. Nothing can change until the general public says enough is enough, and mean it ! Democracy and the "Party System" is corrupt and self-serving. Any idiot can become an MP. Join a Party, donate and support the Party and, if you are prepared to be "economic with the truth" and sell your soul then you may well get a safe seat. Once elected you MUST obey the party whips. Take a look at your ruling Conservative Party. What is their funding? Who provides it? What is it spent on? They go about their spin and marketing like any business/commercial operation. They have their script writers and "media" people.

Here in British Columbia, Canada, we have over 1 million people without a General Practitioner, Canada wide it’s way over 2.5 million. Still the population keeps on growing as does the demand on ALL services. A pulp mill just up the coast from me has closed recently, 300 direct and indirect jobs gone. In the UK all main services were sold off to the private sector. The government of the day relies on that private sector to produce the UK's GDP, jobs and tax returns.

The Drax Power Station over there in Yorkshire purchased logging companies here in British Columbia north of me. They clear cut forest, ship the logs to the coast, have them reduced to "nuggets" and then shipped over there to Yorkshire to be burned as "clean fuel" in the Drax Power Station. Lets save the planet folks.

KEN LAWSON – WHAT WAS HIS GAME?

In the September 2020 Edition of the SCN, in the tail-piece article entitled “The ‘White Rhino Club’ (Mk.1) – What Went Wrong?”, we recounted how after it was known that the organisation had been infiltrated by a security forces asset there was much speculation about the identity of this agent. The initial main suspect was a certain Ken Lawson, who had proved to be a troublesome member of the organisation who had not previously been actively involved with any other patriotic body. It was subsequently revealed, however, that it was another mysterious member who was the “spy”, namely a certain Alan Richards.

A short while ago we were contacted by a reader who had read the SCN item in question and who evidently knew Lawson vaguely. He told us that he found Lawson a highly suspicious character, especially as he had decided to remain in the “new” South African after the ANC took over, even though he clearly had the professional qualifications and the ancestral roots which would have made it simple for him to relocate to somewhere in the civilised First World. He further speculated that just because there was one identified asset of the security services who had infiltrated the WRC, this didn’t mean that there couldn’t have been another. There were after all three separate security services operating in South Africa at the time – all seemingly in rivalry with each other!

We wonder therefore whether anyone else can shed any light on the mysterious and trouble-making Mr.Ken Lawson, particularly if it can be confirmed that he was/is working for one of the South African security forces?

It is now three years since the global Covid-1984 panic and hysteria began. Throughout most of 2020 and 2021 draconian regulations were in force throughout the Western World – but then quite rapidly all these restrictions were lifted, even though there was no sign of the Covid-19 virus (in reality simply a variant of the influenza virus) being wiped out.

So how can this very strange – though extremely worrying – episode in human history be explained? The answer will probably only emerge in a hundred or so years, but there are undoubtedly a number of very important FACTS which we must bear in mind even now :-

Several countries, specifically Belarus, and, to a slightly lesser extent Sweden, but also Nicaragua and Cambodia, never enforced any of the ludicrous “lockdown” restrictions such as wearing ridiculous facemasks and standing six feet away from your fellow human-beings, yet – surprise, surprise – infection rates in these countries were no higher per percentage of population than in any comparable country.

In spite of the “woke” establishment trying to claim that some 150,000 people in Britain have died “of” Covid, official figures released by a Freedom of Information request showed that between February 2020 and December 2021 only 6182 deaths in England-and-Wales were recorded as being only due to Covid – in other words the balance were deaths “with” Covid rather than “of” Covid, i.e. there were other underlying causes which were undoubtedly the main cause of death. (This figure is of course no higher than the usual death figures for other variants of the influenza virus.)

Even if we were to accept that Covid-19 was as deadly as the “woke” establishment would have us believe, the fact remains that it was caused by a virus (i.e. a single-celled organism) and not a bacteria (i.e. a multi-celled organism), which therefore was so small that the only form of facemask which would prevent its inhalation would have to be so unporous that you wouldn’t be able to breath!

All viruses – including the Covid-19 virus – are small that they have practically no mass, and therefore float around in the atmosphere without restriction, and so can be conveyed from person to person no matter how distant they are to each other

Of course towards the beginning of 2022 the authorities in Britain, closely followed by those in all other Western nations, announced that everyone was going to have to “live with Covid-19”, and therefore abandoned all their draconian regulations. The result of course was that the Covid-19 infection rate and hospitalisations did not increase in any way – indeed they tended to go down! The reason which was given for this by the authorities was that the vaccination campaign had been successful, but there is no evidence that this is true – in fact there seems to have been more people who have suffered from the side-effects of the vaccinations than those who have suffered from Covid-19 itself! One has to ask therefore why if we could “live with Covid-19” in 2022 we couldn’t also “live with it” in 2020!

We are not by nature believers in conspiracy theories, but there have been so many disturbing and unexplained aspects of the whole Covid-19 saga that we cannot help but wondering whether it has been part of a deliberate plan to control and subjugate mankind around the world – just as George Orwell prophesied in his novel 1984. Furthermore, the fact that so many elected Western leaders went along with such ludicrous and unjustified actions simply seems to confirm Disraeli’s famous observation: “The World is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes”.

But it is not those in authority who – perhaps as puppets or perhaps as sinister operatives – enforced all the draconian restrictions that our main contempt and anger is reserved for, but rather all those millions of ordinary citizens around the world who voluntarily went long with the lunatic instructions to wear ridiculous facemasks and to stand six feet away from their fellow human-beings, without putting their grey cells into operation. Indeed there still seem to be a few idiots walking around who continue to dress up like Muslim women, even though the de-humanizing mask-wearing regulation has long since been rescinded. Surely these fools should be confronted and told what asinine characters they are!

Happily however not everyone behaved like sheep, and there were many Covid-sceptic and anti-“lockdown” groups which sprung up on social media, such as “End the Lockdown” and “Covid-19 Logic vs Strategy”, which counteracted the Orwellian thought-police – and it is perhaps no exaggeration to state that it was this brave opposition which caused the authorities eventually to abandon all their draconian regulations before they had achieved their full aims of population control. Those behind these groups were therefore the true heroes and heroines of our times, and deserve full praise! They have surely given us all great hope that the sinister international forces which seek to control mankind can be opposed and defeated!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club held its 2023 AGM earlier this month, which proved to be a very successful event. The current Executive Committee was re-elected en bloc, and a new member elected to fill a vacancy, and a most exciting itinerary of events was agreed upon for the early part of 2023. After the business side of proceedings was concluded Mr. Gary Vincent gave an extremely well-researched and very enjoyable PowerPoint presentation about the life and career of Jan Christian Smuts.

We are happy to be able to confirm that Mr. Gavin Sandeman will be addressing the Springbok Club in late February, carrying on from his enthralling talk of November when he read some most fascinating letters and diary entries of his illustrious distant relative Cmd. E.C. “Teddy” Tyndale-Biscoe and other prominent members of the Sandeman family. Full details about this event will be given in next month’s edition of the SCN.

MESSAGE FROM THE NETWORK FOR ANIMALS ORGANISATION

We have recently received the following poignant report from the Network for Animals organisation about the plight of donkeys in Zimbabwe (the erstwhile Southern Rhodesia). It reads as follows :-

“In Zimbabwe, donkeys endure the most horrific abuse every day. They are forced to work when they are too young to do so and made to carry loads far too heavy for their bodies. They work without rest, water or food, and when they weaken, they are beaten or stabbed to force them to continue. Then, when their bodies finally give up, after years of unrelenting abuse, they are abandoned on roadsides.

“When donkeys are no longer of ‘use’ to their callous owners, they are dumped - battered, emaciated and broken - to die.

“Tragically, this was the fate of little Lulu, a tiny four-year-old donkey we recently rescued with our partner, Matabeleland Animal Rescue and Equine Sanctuary (MARES) in Bulawayo. We were with MARES when it received a call from a good Samaritan who had seen an ailing donkey in the dusty, poverty-stricken township of Old Pumula. The donkey was so small and emaciated, the Samaritan thought she was a foal.

”We raced there, and when we arrived, Lulu was in one of the worst states we, and MARES, had ever seen. She had been lying grievously injured for three days, ignored by the authorities who are supposed to help animals in need. The sight of this tortured, broken animal brought every one of us to tears.

“Lulu the donkey had never experienced human kindness in her life - not for one day as she was worked to the bone, and not as she lay dying in the dirt. We could not have known it then, but Lulu’s tragic fate was already sealed.

“Lulu managed to stand up, but because of the extent of her injuries, including a horrifically damaged back leg, she could not walk - not even the ten steps it would have taken her to reach the MARES rescue vehicle. She was carried into the vehicle and simply collapsed. Alan, she was so close to death.

”Later, we discovered that - over and above her other debilitating injuries - Lulu’s back hoof was severely infected all the way up to her fetlock, the hoof pouring with pus and blood.

“It was all just too much for her severely and relentlessly abused body.

“Lulu died five days after being rescued - but we vow to fight for donkeys until tragedies like this stop happening.

“We will NOT stop fighting for the donkeys of Zimbabwe, and we hope you will support us!

“Lulu should never have died. It is a tragedy, but her death cannot be in vain.

“Corruption, ignorance and antipathy rule in Zimbabwe, and the animals suffer because of it. Hardly anyone there cares about the well-being of donkeys, who are simply a means to an end for people eking out a living. The abuse they experience, almost from birth, is beyond all imagining.

”Can you imagine being born into poverty, likely tied up outside as a mere baby, then forced to work grueling hours while being beaten when you felt tired or sore? Imagine that every time a bolt of excruciating pain shot through your overworked legs, you were hit or stabbed in a cruel attempt to force you to go on. Imagine having your body regularly punctured with sharp objects so you would work harder. Imagine being Lulu.

“Sadly, this is not the plot of a horror movie with a happy ending. It is the reality for countless donkeys in Zimbabwe and many other parts of Africa, and it is happening as you read this.

“We work closely with MARES to help rescue, rehabilitate and provide a haven for abused and neglected donkeys in Zimbabwe. MARES does a superhuman job of helping donkeys to overcome the most horrific abuses. Even after years of treatment, many of its animals still bear the deep wounds and scars of cruelty. Many are blind, and many drag their irreparably damaged limbs behind them as they walk. But they are safe, and they are loved, and they will NEVER work again or ever experience an ounce of suffering in their lives.

”MARES is the only haven these animals have in Bulawayo. Abandoned and abused donkeys who are not saved by MARES will either die of their injuries on roadsides, be hit by cars, or be euthanized by the authorities. Those in power don’t care that donkeys are tremendously emotional beings with feelings and a deep loyalty to humans. They adore being rubbed or cuddled - so forgiving, even after experiencing abject cruelty from humans.

“We must continue to support the incredible work that MARES does because there is no other hope for the donkeys of Bulawayo. If we can raise $5,000 (£4,200), we can help fund the rehabilitation of the donkeys pouring into the MARES sanctuary - donkeys just like Lulu who don’t deserve to die. Without the support of animal lovers like you, MARES cannot continue - and if MARES cannot go on, the donkeys will be left in the dirt to die.

One of our supporters, who is also a member of the Falkland Islands Association, has recently forwarded us a copy of a most interesting circular which he has received from the organisation, which included the following informative section which will probably be of interest to readers :-

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

In an article which appeared in The Daily Telegraph of 30th December 2022 it is revealed that whilst he was UK Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair sought the help of the South African terrorist leader “Nelson” Mandela to ensure the handover of the two Libyan terrorists subsequently convicted of the Lockerbie bombing atrocity, but then branded the terrorist leader as “unhelpful” when he called for the lifting of sanctions against the Libyan state – then ruled by Mandela’s fellow-terrorist Muammar Gaddafi – in return for this handover. One of Sir Tony’s advisers subsequently wrote: “Mandela is, at best, suffering from selective memory and a basic misunderstanding of international law.”.

Sir Tony Blair of course – along with most other Western leaders of his era – always seemed to be oblivious to the fact that Mandela was a convicted terrorist of much the same evil nature as Gaddafi himself. It is good therefore to learn that he subsequently came to have doubts about Mandela’s international image, and it is just a pity that he didn’t became aware of the reality of Mandela’s evil nature far earlier during his career.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.290: Mr. PETER WILLERS of Queensburgh

Peter Willers was an independent councillor in the town of Queensburgh, Natal, during the mid-1980s. He was keen to stand for election to Parliament at the 1987 General Election, and after being turned down by the Conservative Party (of which he was a supporter) approached the HNP to see whether they would adopt him. Alas his emergence on the HNP scene came at the same time as a power-struggle was taking place in the party’s south Natal region, and sadly Peter Willers not only took sides in this unfortunate conflict but furthermore was aggressively antagonistic towards those on the other side. As a result many HNP supporters refused to back his campaign and instead gave their active support to HNP candidates in neighbouring constituencies. The thing which made the whole situation so tragic was that Peter Willers initially impressed greatly as a most friendly, keen and intelligent person (and also a great animal lover!) who all thought was going to be a great asset to the patriotic movement in the greater Durban area. To give him credit, he did subsequently express regret for his part in the conflict, and it also emerged that he was experiencing severe domestic problems at the time, which probably explained for his perhaps unintended factionalism. A lot of water has flown under the bridge since all these unfortunate problems occurred of course, so now is probably a good time for reconciliation. If anyone could inform us how Peter Willers can now be contacted we would therefore be most grateful.

CORRUPTION THERE, CORRUPTION HERE

Sir,

Having lived and worked in both Moscow and Kyiv a number of years ago I would suggest that the borders between many countries in that part of the world are defective due to the activities of Stalin and other despots over many years. By blundering into a neighbouring country based upon a vague historical pretext is no excuse for the crimes authorised by Putin. Russia could be a prosperous, stable and healthy country given the vast natural resources it has together with the desire of people there to improve their lives. Instead the corrupt and frankly incompetent gangsters in the Kremlin can only think about enriching themselves. I could share with you evidence of a Swedish investment company that had developed a thriving food processing business near Moscow which had assets stolen by criminals backed by a corrupt judge. This is just one illustration why so many educated and ambitious Russians continue to emigrate resulting in a falling population which even Putin conceded is a serious problem.

I do support the aims and objectives of your organisation in Britain. One issue that in my view should receive more attention by the media and politicians is the problem with election fraud, particularly with postal votes. There have been numerous examples in Tower Hamlets over the years where women in the Asian community were coerced to vote for a specific candidate - the current postal vote system is wide open to such abuse. Perhaps we can return to this subject on another occasion.

OBITUARIES

DAVID DUCKHAM

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the recent death of David Duckham, the great Coventry, England and British Lions three-quarters.

Born and educated in Coventry, David Duckham was a “one club man” all his career, playing for Coventry RFC in the days when the leading Coventry-based club was called Coventry! He went on to play 36 times for England (scoring 10 tries), and 17 times for the British Lions (including three Tests), all during the 1971 Tour of New Zealand. He also played several times for the Barbarians, including the famous match against the All Blacks in 1973. In an era when Wales dominated Northern Hemisphere Rugby his talent was so outstanding that he was “coveted” by many Welsh supporters, who tried to discover whether he had Welsh roots and nicknamed him “Dai”! With his blond hair and athletic physique he looked every inch like a Nordic God, something which his prodigious talent tended to confirm!

Although injury alas ruled him out from the famous British Lions Tour of South Africa in 1974 (something which he stated was the biggest regret of his career), he played against South Africa both for England and for the Barbarians during the Springbok Tour of 1969/70, and was a good friend of South Africa throughout his career.

Our sympathies are extended to his widow Jean and to his three daughters.

GERRIE COETZEE

It was with much sorrow that we learnt of the recent sudden death of Gerhardus Christian “Gerrie” Coetzee, the only South African ever to become Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World.

Gerrie Coetzee was born at Boksburg on the eastern Rand in 1955, and was a proud Afrikaner. His father ran an amateur Boxing club where Gerrie won 185 out of his 192 bouts as an amateur, before turning professional in 1974.

Once professional his career on the South African stage was meteoric, defeating both Mike Schutte (previously considered the greatest Heavyweight who South Africa had ever produced) for the South African Heavyweight title, and Kallie Knoetze (who was also considered a contender for the World title) before losing two WBA World title bids against American opponents. After winning a famous WBA title eliminator against Leon Spinks at Monte Carlo (a bout watched by Prince Rainier of Monaco) he eventually won the World title by defeating Michael Dokes in Ohio in 1983. Alas a serious hand injury, extenuated in his World title win, meant that his career floundered after that, and even though he made two fairly successful comeback attempts he finally hung up the gloves in 1997.

In all Gerrie Coetzee fought 40 professional fights, winning 33 of them (including 21 knock-outs) and scoring one draw. Gerrie Coetzee was not only a great Boxer however, he was also a great South African. Even though he was forced to utter certain “politically correct” statements during his career in order to obtain fights against American negro opponents, he never sucked-up to the ANC terrorist regime like alas his contemporary Kallie Knoetze was prepared to do – indeed he initially moved to the US rather than living under the ANC regime, and it was only pressure from his wife Rina which persuaded him to move back to the “new” South Africa.

Our sincerest condolences are extended to Gerrie Coetzee’s widow Rina and to his three children.
