December 2005 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

December 2005 edition

Ever since the handover of South Africa to ANC terrorist rule we have constantly encouraged all Whites to leave that beleaguered country as quickly as possible.

Mandela and Mbeki's blood-brother in Zimbabwe, Mugabe, has surely illustrated to all but the most myopic just what is in store for the Whites of South Africa if they do not get out soon. Although there was a temporary pause in ZANU-PF's genocide campaign against those Whites foolish enough to remain in Zimbabwe, the recent horrific murder of Dave Stewart shows that Mugabe's systematic campaign of terror has now resumed in earnest.

But it is not only in Zimbabwe where Black Africa is descending deeper and deeper into primeval chaos. Ethiopia and Kenya are only the latest examples of where incoming governments overthrowing previous tyrannical regimes were originally hailed as "democratic", only then to prove themselves to be just as despotic as their predecessors. Democracy, alas, is an alien concept to Black Africa, and only enlightened White leadership can save the continent from itself.

So why should ANC-ruled South Africa be any different? It is now 15 years since the de facto abdication of White rule in South Africa - approximately the same period of time that it took Mugabe to unleash the full force of his anti-White terrorism. Already South Africa is internationally recognised as being the crime capital of the world, and the murder campaign against White farmers is statistically even greater than in Zimbabwe. Even more frighteningly we have recently heard that the ANC-regime is planning even more devastating anti-White measures for 2006, which will involve even greater suffering and victimisation.

Our advice to all South African Whites is therefore exactly the same as it was during the early 1990s following de Klerk's surrender and sell-out. Get out of the disintegrating country as soon as possible, and by whichever means possible.

SPRINGBOK CLUB UDI DAY DINNER

Alas all did not go smoothly concerning this year's Springbok Club UDI Day Dinner. Far fewer people booked to attend than was hoped and anticipated, which meant that a smaller dining-area had to be utilised, which unfortunately did not prove to be fully satisfactory. Even more regrettably the closing remarks made by the Organiser were rudely interrupted by what can only be described as a drunken rant by one malcontent present. If the gentleman in question had any complaints to make (and we accept that arrangements were not as ideal as we had hoped) then he clearly should have raised these matters privately at the conclusion of the dinner, and NOT in full view of all guests during the proceedings themselves.

Be this as it may, the Springbok Club was highly honoured to be able to welcome Mr. Bob Fernandes as Guest of Honour for this year's event, who in his after-dinner talk gave a most informative overview of the work currently being done by AgricAfrica and the Valuation Consortium in spearheading the international court cases against the ZANU-PF government of Zimbabwe on behalf of the dispossessed commercial farmers. It is hoped that the Springbok Club will be able to work increasingly closely with these two concerns in the extremely important work which they are trying to achieve in the days ahead.

SPRINGBOK CLUB DAY OF THE VOW COMMEMORATIONS

Details of the Springbok Club's annual Day of the Vow commemorations are as follows :-

Date : Thursday 8th December 2005

Time : Assemble from 18.30 hrs onwards, main proceedings to commence at approximately 19.15 hrs.

Venue: The CLARENCE (the upstairs Function Room), 4 Dover Street, Mayfair, London W1 (just off Piccadilly opposite the Ritz Hotel - nearest underground station: Green Park)

Guest of Honour : Mr. BERNARD TERRY

Bernard Terry first went to Rhodesia during the 1960`s for a two week holiday - but didn't return to the UK until 1981! He was employed by the Rhodesian State Attorney, before being transferred to become head of the legal department with the Ministry of Water Development. He subsequently joined the BSAP with whom he served until 1981. Upon his return to the UK he worked in security until 1999, by which time he had also taken on a part-time job doing research for a website devoted to the Victoria Cross. He became a member of The Victoria Cross Society as one of their earliest members. He has written two published articles about the VC, one of which being about Randolph Cosby Nesbitt, a South African who was awarded the VC while serving with the BSAP. He was chairman of the Three Counties Branch (Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire) of Rhodesians Worldwide for over 15 years. In his talk he will relay something of his expert knowledge regarding the Victoria Cross, particularly concerning those Southern Africans whose bravery resulted in being awarded this decoration.

Buffet-snacks will be provided at this function, and admission charges will be £6.00 per head for Life, Honorary and Full Members of the Springbok Club, £8.00 per head for Associate Members, and £10.00 per head for non-members. Although payment may be made on the night, it would help to gauge numbers if all those planning to attend could inform us in advance. This can be done either by 'phoning: 07711-188430.

FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB EVENTS

The Springbok Club's 2006 AGM will be held towards the end of January. Fuller details will be given in next month's SCN.

During February 2006 the Springbok Club is anticipating welcoming a guest speaker who has recently visited the Gaza Strip in order to express solidarity with the defiant Israeli settlers there, who will tell something about his experiences there and the Israeli settlers' struggle in general.

------------------------------------------------------------------

SPRINGBOK CLUB BRANCH NEWS

Unfortunately the Northern Ireland Branch's planned joint UDI Day/Day of the Vow meeting in December has had to be cancelled, but it is hoped that a replacement event to honour the struggles of both the Rhodesian and South African peoples will be held sometime early during 2006. For fuller details please e-mail: nispringbokclub@hotmail.com

The London Branch of the Springbok Club is planning to hold a meeting early next year when one of their leading members will be giving a talk on early Anglo-Saxon history. More details will be given in a future SCN.

Both the Kent and Chilterns branches of the Springbok Club are hoping to stage get-togethers in the new year. It is anticipated that a well-known personality from the British patriotic movement will be present at the Chilterns Branch gathering.

LONDON SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

The London Swinton Circle hosted two important meetings during recent weeks, the first of which was addressed by Mr. Peter Robinson MP (the Deputy Leader of the DUP and MP for East Belfast), and the second by Mr. Philip Davies MP (the Conservative MP for Shipley). Both spoke eloquently, and gave highly informative and indeed encouraging speeches regarding the struggles for self-determination by loyal British people on their respective sides of the Irish Sea.

In January 2006 the London Swinton Circle will be addressed by Dr. Alan Sked, the Senior Lecturer in International History at the London School of Economics. Later during 2006 it is anticipated that a prominent Gibraltarian visitor to London will address the LSC.

The London Swinton Circle supportive publication "Tough Talking from the Right" will be staging a special Winter Meeting and Buffet on Thursday 12th January 2006 (commencing at 19.00 hrs) in the City of London, where the guest speaker will be Mr. Nigel Farage MEP (the Co-President of the Independence and Democracy Group in the European Parliament). Tickets are priced £17.50 per head (inclusive of buffet and glass of wine) which should be made payable to "Allan Robertson" and sent to: TTFTR, P.O.Box 29208, London SE8 3ZU.

NEWS FROM THE CHIPANGALI WILDLIFE TRUST

Vivian Wilson of the Chipangali Wildlife Trust writes as follows :-

"I have just completed our latest News letter (September 2005) which gives a detailed update of all the projects that the Carnivore Research Institute is involved in. At the moment we are grounded once again due to the complete lack of fuel in Zimbabwe. I have not been able to purchase fuel at a garage at the controlled price for over 6 months now and I refuse to be intimidated and pay the black market rate of $100,000.00 a litre. At the official Bank exchange rate (Auction rate) of Z$26,000.00 to US$1.00 that means that 1 gallon of diesel costs US$19.00. Nor will I support other illegal transactions, which leaves me in an unenviable position.

"In spite of the above I can assure everyone that I do not intend stopping my field work and will continue regardless!"

To find out more about the work of the Chipangali Wildlife Trust and the Carnivore Research Institute, or to receive a copy of their newsletter, please contact Vivian Wilson on e-mail: duiker@ecoweb.co.zw, or visit their web-site at: www.chipangaliresearch.org.zw

CAN YOU HELP ?

Luis Amaral writes as follows :-

"My father, named Antonio Cardoso do Amaral (NECO AMARAL), was born in 1938 close to Tondela. In 1960 he arrived in Moçambique (region of Nampula and Porto Amèlia) with the soldiers of B.L.5. He was an assistant driver. In 1962 he was in Posto Administrativo de NANGADE (CELPOR). In 1964 he was Guard in the team CHAI - during this time he left the army, working as a bus driver (for a company named BOA VIAGEM from Nampula). In 1967 he was in Ribaué, and travelled much in the north of Moçambique. In 1971 he left Moçambique for Portugal because of a "problem" he had with a passenger who died in his bus. My father passed away in 1994, after emigrating to France in 1972. My brothers and I know he had a daughter (Cristina ?) born between 1964 and 1968 in the north of Moçambique. We know her mother was English, born in England. We want to contact our sister and we are asking for help from anyone who was in Moçambique during this period.

"The following persons might be able to help: 1) People who may know of English families in northern Moçambique in the 1960’s and 1970’s. 2) People who lived in the above cities and towns. 3) People who have families in this area (northern Moçambique, Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Niassa).

"I am certain with help we can contact our sister again.

"Many thanks. Luis Amaral"

CALLING ALL RHODESIANS

November marked the 40th Anniversary of U.D.I. and to mark this important event I want to hear from you. Where were you on that November day? What were your thoughts about U.D.I and the lead up to the momentous announcement, either for or against? If you weren't in Rhodesia at the time let me know what brought you to the country after U.D.I.

I am a Rhodesian born and breed and am currently engaged on writing a PhD for the University of London on Rhodesia's road to Independence, and I want to hear from you all. By studying the histories, government papers and biographies of the leading figures of the time I can piece together what was in the mind of the leaders on both side, but what I want to know was what was in the mind of the ordinary Rhodesian. This is your chance to have your say. Any and all information is most welcome as my thesis will only be as good as the sources I have to work from.

If you want to send me your thoughts please do so to Julian_Francis123@hotmail.com. I would be happy to supply a 'phone number for anyone who wants to talk directly to me and I will be happy to meet face to face with anyone in the UK. I will also consider travelling to any part of
the world to hear your thoughts.

I will be happy to provide more information on my project to anyone who is interested, and to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Julian Francis

----------------------------

"BETRAYAL IN HIGH PLACES" by James Mackay.

271 pages, some illustrations. Soft-back £5.00 including p.& p. (r.r.p. £10.00)

The compelling story of what really happened in a defeated Japan following the end of World War II. Merchant seaman James Mackay, whilst travelling in the east, started to hear stories of massacres and other atrocities committed by Japanese forces, not just against enemy troops, but against innocent civilian populations. His subsequent investigations revealed reluctance amongst Allied governments to discuss these incidents that seemed to amount almost to a cover-up. Why would the Allies want to overlook the crimes of a former enemy, especially when the leadership of another former enemy was being liquidated at Nuremburg? Using his own research, as well as material prepared by Australian Army war crimes investigator Capt. J.G. Goodwin, Mackay exposes the cover-up and names the guilty. Not only were the Japanese keen to sweep the past under the carpet, but the US government of the time also had its own reasons for preserving the political and industrial elite in Japan. A provocative book, which calls into question the morality of US policy towards Japan after WWII.

Payment can be made by credit or debit card. To order on line, log onto www.paypal.com and enter postmaster@gcartwright.demon.co.uk as payment destination.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.85 : Mr. DAVID HABBITTS of Benoni.

David Habbitts was a British patriot who emigrated to South Africa during the 1960s. He became active with the Transvaal chapter of Ivor Benson's National Forum and with a number of other patriotic organisations, before becoming one of the earliest supporters of S.A.Patriot. Alas contact with him ceased during the early 1980s, and we are uncertain whether he returned to the UK at that time or not. If anyone could inform us what eventually happened to him we would be most grateful.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

SEX AND THE CITIES

Sir,

One of the main root causes of kaffir poverty is that each Black woman, on average bears no less than 12 children in her lifetime. Their progenitors couldn't care less who supports these poor little devils. Hundreds of them infest the South African city centres. They are all boys. Girls cannot survive.

Yours etc.,

Richard Deane, Cape Town.

ROGUES GALLERY

A short while ago we were contacted by Mrs. Deirdre Fields from the United States, the daughter of Stephanie van Heerden from Johannesburg and the niece of our very close (though now sadly deceased) friend and supporter from Durban, Tom Hawkins.

Tom Hawkins fought with distinction in the SADF during World War II, and was extremely proud of his British ancestry and the part which he played in the struggle against the scourge of Nazism. His patriotism didn't end with WWII however, for he was subsequently very active in the patriotic movement in Durban, standing as a Conservative Party candidate in the 1988 Durban municipal elections. His sister Stephanie van Heerden was no less of a South African patriot, and stood as an HNP parliamentary candidate on a number of occasions.

Needless to say, we were initially extremely delighted to be able to make contact with Deirdre Fields again, but alas in spite of sending her a quite long and detailed reply we never received the decency of any further direct response from her. Instead, however, she started to inundate us with a stream of unsolicited e-mail circulars, most of which were of a quite unsavoury paranoid nature, with some being of a completely offensive anti-Semitic (and indeed neo-Nazi) composition. As a result we asked Mrs. Fields on several occasions to cease sending us all this unsolicited poison, but alas it still keeps on arriving.

We don't know whether her mother is still alive or not, but undoubtedly her Uncle Tom Hawkins would now be turning in his grave if he were to know the kind of sickening anti-Semitic material which his niece is now circulating. We would certainly advise everybody to be extremely wary of any dealings with this young woman therefore.

OBITUARY

DENIS LINDSAY

It was with much sadness that we recently learnt of the death of Denis Lindsay at the age of only 66 after a long battle against cancer. Denis Lindsay was undoubtedly the greatest wicket-keeper/batsman of his generation, and played 19 times for South Africa. He represented Northern Transvaal (formerly North-Eastern Transvaal) at provincial level, with the high-spot of his career being during the 1966/67 series against Australia when he scored 606 runs at an average of 86.57. It was not for his cricketing prowess alone that Denis Lindsay should be remembered however, for during the 1970s he was prepared to stand up and be counted when alas so many of his team-mates tried to appease the international leftist anti-South African trouble-makers when they attempted to isolate South African sport. On a number of occasions he gave television interviews in which he was uncompromising in his statements that South Africa had every right to select their teams and to decide their policies in whichever way they chose. Unfortunately in later life Denis Lindsay decided to remain in ANC-ruled South Africa and appeared prepared to kow-tow to the new sporting authorities - though perhaps in view of subsequent revelations his struggle against cancer gave him very little alternative. We chose to remember the brave and brilliant Denis Lindsay of the 1960s and 1970s however.
