Although this year’s local elections in the UK contained some quite encouraging aspects, the two most important polls which we highlighted in last month’s SCN alas produced extremely disturbing results.
In spite of the fact that the Blairite invention of the post of “Mayor of London” is in reality meaningless and of symbolic relevance only, the fact that it was won again by a Pakistani immigrant who managed to obtain the official Labour Party endorsement is sickening. Even more worrying, however, is the fact that the official Conservative Party candidate was also a non-White immigrant, in this case being a Negro West Indian. The fact that neither of the two candidates who topped the poll was British in an election - symbolic though it might have been - for the leading representative of Britain’s capital city is alarming in the extreme, especially when it is remembered that there were several truly British candidates also standing in this election.
But was the Pakistani Labour Party candidate the real victor in this election? The turnout was only 42%, meaning that the real winner was the “Stay at Home Party”! If all of London’s electorate had turned out and had all voted for one of their own kith-and-kin then the vote would have been very different. By their laziness in not turning out to vote Londoners have heaped great embarrassment and humiliation on their city, and made it an international laughing stock. But what of those who did vote and were prepared to vote for one of the mud race candidates? This was undoubtedly the result of several decades of egalitarian brainwashing by the international media and the establishment in general. Quite clearly therefore patriotic forces have a lot of education work to do.
Of equal concern of course was the result of the Scottish Parliamentary elections – this quango being another unnecessary invention of the Blair years. Although much of the mainstream media have implied that those who supported a Scottish split from the rest of the UK won a majority of the votes this wasn’t exactly true. The splitists (SNP + Greens) won 48.99% of the constituency vote compared to the total Unionist vote of 51.01%. A very close and worrying outcome to be sure, but not a majority for “independence”. It should furthermore be born in mind that the turnout was surprisingly low at only 63.4%.
But there was one very encouraging development for supporters of the Union – not in Scotland however, but in Wales. Here a new movement has emerged called “Abolish the Welsh Assembly” which has grown into a full political party and put up candidates at the recent Assembly Elections. Although their vote was not sufficient to gain any Assembly seats, they did perform far better than might be expected for a party with such a radical agenda, and almost out-polled both the Liberal Democrats and the Greens. The important thing however is that in Wales at least Unionists are now on the offensive rather than simply fighting a rearguard action. If the “Abolish the Welsh Assembly” movement can grow in strength and influence then hopefully a similar movement will emerge in Scotland. We may well then be able to witness the end of the Alex Salmond/Nicola Sturgeon Punch and Judy show at tax-payers’ expense, and the death-knell for the seditious SNP!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS
Sadly technical problems - most notably a “power outage” in Brisbane where the guest speaker, Scott Balson, was due to speak from – meant that the Springbok Club’s planned April Zoom meeting encountered some severe obstacles. A number of attendees stepped in to “save the day” however by giving some interesting cameo contributions, most notably Mr. Tony Williams who told something about the experiences of the famous 1976 Rhodesian Tour members. Sincere thanks are therefore due to all these people.
The Springbok Club will however be making a second attempt to stage this Zoom meeting with Scott Balson as guest speaker shortly. This is most likely to take place during the final weekend in May, and all those on the SCN circulation list will of course be informed of the full details as soon as arrangement have been finalised.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS
Happily the Patriotic Forum’s latest Zoom meeting proved far more successful than the Springbok Club’s latest attempt! The guest speaker at this event was Mr. Rodney Atkinson, the former UKIP leadership candidate and founder and administrator of the FreeNations web-site and news post. Mr. Atkinson gave a most enlightening speech on the theme of "Corporatism will kill us all", with particular reference to the continuing machinations of the EU, last year's US election coup and the Covid panic crisis. There was an encouraging turnout at this meeting, with supporters from as far away as the United States and Belgium, and it was particularly good to welcome a number of Patriotic Forum supporters who for various reasons hadn’t been able to attend any “live” meetings for several years. There were also a number of excellent contributions from some of the attendees, so full thanks are therefore due to them as well as to Mr.Atkinson for giving such an informative and eye-opening speech.
A number of suggestions for future speakers at Zoom meetings were given at this May meeting, and these are now being followed up. Details about the next planned June Zoom meeting will therefore be given in next month’s SCN.

MESSAGE FROM NETWORK FOR ANIMALS
We have recently received the following most disturbing message from the Network for Animals organisation about the appalling situation in post-colonial Kenya, which reads as follows :-
“In Lamu, a small island off the coast of Kenya, donkeys are starving, forced to scavenge for food on garbage heaps. They need our urgent help.
“There are an estimated 2,000 donkeys on the island of Lamu alone, and many suffer from shocking injuries, malnutrition and skin diseases. Donkey abuse is rampant; beatings and whippings are common. The poor creatures are also forced to pull overloaded carts using badly designed harnesses which cause them serious injuries.
“Some owners have abandoned the sad creatures and left them to fend for themselves. The donkeys have only one remaining source of food and that is from garbage dumps. The donkeys are so hungry that they eat plastic waste, which makes them sick and blocks their digestive system so they slowly and painfully starve to death.
“Donkeys are dying every single day in Lamu and, without our help, they will continue to do so until the last one dies.
“With our partner, the Kenyan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (KSPCA), we have promised both short and long-term help. When our team arrived in Lamu, they found that the local donkey haven had just one bag of food left.
“We immediately provided enough food for the next two months.
“Because of cutbacks, Lamu’s only donkey haven has such limited resources that often sick donkeys are treated in a shady place under a tree, with a cover for the poor creature’s eyes to stop it being frightened.
“The sanctuary is run by Mohamed Swaleh, a passionate and dedicated man who deeply cares for Lamu’s donkeys. Sadly, he showed us empty laboratory cupboards that were once full of medicine; and empty stalls that used to be full of food.
“While we were still recovering from the shock of seeing how bad the situation is, the team got a call from a neighboring island where a donkey was found with terrible wounds.
“We rushed to the rescue to find that a makeshift harness had caused a gaping wound that was so bad that, without treatment, the donkey would certainly have died. We saved that donkey but the awful reality is that horrors like this are happening every day!
“We can’t stand by and watch this happen. We need to rush emergency food and medicines to the island as soon as possible. We can only help if good people who really love animals, make a donation to allow us to do the work. Please, if you possibly can, make a generous donation today. Even a small amount will make a big difference to donkeys.

THE OLYMPICS SHOULD NOT BE CANCELLED
The 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games which should have taken place in Tokyo, Japan, were of course postponed until this year because of all the international paranoia about the Covid-19 virus (Wuhan Flu). Now however there are calls to cancel this Olympiad completely because of the emergence of the so-called Indian variant of the virus.
It should be remembered in this regard that the Covid-19 virus itself is simply a variant of all the other family of influenza viruses, and that its extent and severity have been exaggerated quite significantly by the medicrats who have a vested interest in extending the power of the medical profession. There is therefore absolutely no reason why the 2020/2021 Olympiad should not go ahead as re-planned, especially as previous Olympic Games went ahead during earlier viral pandemics – most notably the 1920 Antwerp Olympics which were held during the tail-end of the Spanish Flu pandemic.
Tokyo of course staged the 1964 Olympic Games, which although the first Olympics to be held in a third world country still proved to be a highly successful and well-organised event. This was at a time when Japan was emerging as the first “Asian Tiger” economy of course, and the financial bonanza which the Olympics brought undoubtedly accelerated the country’s economic advance. Since then however the “Asian Tiger” economies have all but collapsed, with Japan itself experiencing three decades of economic stagnation. Could it be that the Japanese authorities are using the Wuhan Flu pandemic simply as an excuse to cancel the Games entirely, as they know that the economically-hampered staging of them will be viewed unfavourably in comparison to the successful 1964 Olympics?
It is now too late to move the 2020/2021 Olympiad to another country of course, so if the Japanese authorities do pull-out then the IOC should progress full-steam ahead towards the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympice – and should let the Japanese know that after this debacle they will never again be allowed to bid to become hosts.

DONALD TRUMP IS BACK!
An Australian supporter has recently informed us of a mesmerising speech given by President Donald J. Trump at the Conservative Political Action Conference held at Orlando, Florida, in late February. In his speech President Trump makes it clear that he does not intend to found a new political party and therefore split the patriotic vote in the States, but rather to concentrate upon establishing new media outlets and thereby to neutralise the power of the mainstream media and the big-tech conglomerates. President Trump’s early re-emergence after the disputed 2020 Presidential Election and the enthusiastic response which he received from this mainly youthful gathering gives great hope that the GOP will be able to re-capture the Senate in 2022 – and maybe also the House! Diane McCracken was a leading official in the American Aid to Ulster (AATU) organisation, a patriotic American movement which sought to oppose the malevolent influence of “Noraid” and other pro-SF/IRA outfits in the United States. She first made contact with us when we were still based in South Africa and we established very friendly links based upon our mutual support for the Loyal people of Ulster. I remember, back in Israel in 1997, I went to the market for shopping. It was as busy as ever. Five minutes after I left two Arab suicide bombers blew themselves up in the market. In the same week a coffee bar got bombed in town. The best bit was a suicide bomber who was spotted by a school bus driver and reported to the cops got blown up by a young IDF soldier with a US Army Laws rocket from off the back of an old Ford Jeep! Damn amusing! The terrorist leader old Arafat of the PLO mob was a big friend of Mandela. I had just arrived from South Africa, an even more violent country, with Mandela and the ANC vs the Zulus. Real tribal mega violence!

THE LULL BEFORE THE STORM
Sir,
I will give you an update of what life is like in the States; or at least my perception of it. Basically, what I have found is a country which is in a temporary and odd lull. The election of Joe Biden has (for various reasons) left both sides clutching romantic dreams which shall never come true; and thus cometh the little "lull" in the action. On the right, you have the "conservatives" calculating romantic victories from failures which they can neither create nor really control and, on the left, you have "progressives" of all kinds dreaming of victories-upon-victories which are already starting to come crashing down upon their foolish heads. The simple reality is it is a country which is not yet confronting reality, so the "lull" will end when reality comes to confront the society. Then, I expect the fighting and/or decline to resume once anew. I have also come home to a country which is commonly suffering from mental health issues from last year; to say nothing of their normal dreams of grandeur which shall never come to pass. Signs of a failed democracy exist within almost every person, if you push a conversation enough. Person by person, they get stuck on fine details even more so than do attorneys and, person by person, everyone seems to get stuck on procedures, codes, and the empty rhetoric of the day. Meanwhile, none of our problems really get addressed and society seems to lurch around looking for a convenient scapegoat of the day. [For several years, it was opioids. Now, it is The Wuhan Flu {which they insist on calling something else}, and who knows who it shall be next year.]

THE STRANGE CASE OF DAVID CULVERWELL
A chance remark at a recent small gathering of supporters caused us to remember a certain Mr. David Culverwell.
David Culverwell ran a small-holding at Fawn Leas in the Natal midlands, and was an early subscriber to the original S.A.Patriot (No.44 in fact!). We congratulated him on his efforts to establish a branch of the HNP in the Greytown Constituency in edition No.4 of the magazine, and he also started to purchase a batch of 50 copies of each edition for re-distribution in his area.
During the 1981 General Election campaign several members of the editorial board of the magazine journeyed up to Greytown for an outdoors rally in support of the National Conservative Party’s candidate at the election, Chris Botha, (the HNP were not contesting this constituency) and for the first time we met David Culverwell in person. He was euphoric in his praise for S.A.Patriot and seemed overwhelmed to meet us in person, insisting that we returned to his home after the rally for dinner. He also went out of his way to inform us that he and his wife Georgie were adherents to the British-Israelite sect (followers of the theories of Richard Brothers, a mystic from the latter 18th century who believed that the Nordic peoples of northern Europe were somehow the real Jews!).
A year later the notorious political phony and National Party agent Brendan Willmer mysteriously re-surfaced in Durban, and almost immediately managed to weasel his way into the newly-founded Conservative Party of South Africa. Willmer of course was well known by the HNP and other existing patriotic movements because of his earlier involvement with the Save Rhodesia Campaign and the short-lived South Africa First Campaign, before he was exposed as a charlatan who was in the pay of the NP government to divert support away from other more authentic patriotic opposition movements. It didn’t take the CP long to realise their mistake in taking this viper to their bosom, and belatedly removed him from their party as a result of “the case of the missing receipt book”.
Following his exit from the CP Willmer established his own “Civic Action League” outfit with the aid of a mysterious source of funds, and then managed to start producing a magazine in apparent rivalry to the increasingly popular S.A.Patriot, which he called “South African Monitor”. We were however dumbfounded to see in the second edition of this rag a letter apparently written by David Culverwell praising the initial edition and stating that he would now be taking half-a-dozen copies of each issue!
Believing of course that Culverwell was well aware of Willmer’s notorious past and phoniness and that this alleged letter from him was therefore fake, we wrote to him alerting him to this apparently false letter bearing his name. His reaction to this was astonishing however, for he wrote back to state that he found S.A.Monitor a far better magazine than S.A.Patriot, and that he therefore wanted nothing further to do with us! He then went on to state that if the HNP and the CP continued to oppose each other at elections then he would withdraw his support from both parties. So much for his claimed devotion to the patriotic cause!
A few months later Culverwell turned up at a meeting in Durban where a couple of members of S.A.Patriot’s editorial board were also present, and caused a scene by arguing heatedly with the editor claiming that it was he who had started the whole conflict, when of course it was quite clear that it was Culverwell himself who was guilty of betrayal! The next that anything was heard from Culverwell was at the time of the Klip River by-election in 1986, when he apparently contacted the HNP election campaign to state that he and his British-Israelite colleagues from the area would not be supporting them if those behind S.A.Patriot were also active in the campaign! As a result the HNP candidate, Chris Wolmarans, cowardly asked us not to help in his campaign – and was subsequently heavily defeated.
Nothing more was ever heard from David Culverwell after this, and it is suspected that he must now be dead. What motivated him to first heap so much praise on S.A.Patriot and then to betray those behind the magazine so terribly must therefore remain something of a mystery. Certainly his connection to the notorious con-man Brendan Willmer seems to be the main factor involved however. Willmer of course was also an overt homosexual, a fact well known by all those actively involved in patriotic activity at the time. Was David Culverwell also a homosexual we therefore wonder, with his marriage to Georgie being just a sham? Alas we will now probably never know.
As a footnote, S.A.Monitor only lasted for three editions (and consisted of mainly articles “lifted” from other publications without any sort of permission!), whereas S.A.Patriot has metamorphosised into The Imperial Patriot and still exists to this day!
