As we approach a decade and a half of ANC rule in South Africa
There are many who claim that the situation in South Africa Zimbabwe Zimbabwe Zimbabwe
The critic in question goes under the pseudonym of "The Uhuru Guru" and previously ran the "South Africa Sucks" web-site, which was probably well known to many of our readers. "The Uhuru Guru" has received criticisms in the past for the graphic nature of his web-site and some of his associations, but the fact remains that he provided an excellent on-line service by publicising to the world the true state of rampant crime, government corruption and breakdown of society in the "new" South Africa - and that the rights of free speech should be fundamental in any democratic country. The unspecified charges against "The Uhuru Guru" allegedly date back all the way to 1993, and yet in spite of not being informed of the nature of his alleged offence he had his door ripped open at 6 o'clock in the morning, his wife and young daughters terrorised by the police action, his family's mobile 'phones and computer equipment confiscated, and was locked up in a cell at a police station with about a dozen Black criminals. There seems little doubt, however, that his arrest was ordered by high-ranking officials of the ANC regime because his "South Africa Sucks" web-site was proving increasingly effective, and therefore embarrassing for South Africa
But it is not only within the boundaries of South Africa Cape Town Canada
One has to ask the question, however, why it is that the ANC government seems so keen to have Brandon Huntley expelled back to South Africa when their entire ideology ("One Settler, One Bullet" and "Bring me my Machine-Gun") is based upon anti-White hatred. The only explanation is that they are so lacking in common human decency that they wish to humiliate and victimise as many Whites as possible, not only in South Africa itself but throughout the world.

At the end of October members of the Springbok Club/ELC enjoyed a most enthralling "Pirates of the London Docks" walking tour of the north Thames docks area conducted by Dr. John Pope-de Locksley. The organisation plans to stage other similar conducted tours next year.

Mark Pilbeam served as a Senior Trooper in the Rhodesian Light Infantry from 1977 to 1979. The RLI was a parachute regiment respected around the world which honed the art of "Fireforce" to its ultimate deadly perfection during the Rhodesian Bush War.
Mark is now the Chairman of the UK Branch of the RLI Regimental Association, a worldwide organisation of ex-servicemen who served in the regiment, which was re-formed in 2008. FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB/ELC EVENTS
In December the Springbok Club/ELC will be holding their annual Day of the Vow commemorations, at which it is hoped a prominent British politician will be guest of honour.
The Springbok Club/ELC is also planning to stage a get-together in London South Africa
The 2010 Springbok Club/ELC AGM will be held in January 2010. More precise details about all these activities will be detailed in future editions of the SCN.

The Swinton Circle held a very successful meeting last month at which they welcomed two prominent guest speakers, Mr. Michael McGough of the Freedom Association and Mr. Bob Vinnicombe, a visiting leading official of the Australian One Nation party. This was the first meeting staged solely under the auspices of the Swinton Circle since the infiltration problems which plagued the organisation last year, and proved that in spite of the efforts of the enemies of our movement this important wing has not only survived but has indeed prospered.

ENCOURAGING NEWS FROM ZIMBABWE
We have recently received this most encouraging report from the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force (http://www.zctf.mweb.co.zw) :-
ZNSPCA are pleased to inform the international community that the ten wild elephants captured by Basil Steyn for commercial purposes are scheduled for release.
ZNSPCA would like to thank the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, the Attorney General’s office, officials from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority for their integral role in the release of these abused elephants. We are proud of our Ministry’s recognition of animal cruelty and the prevention of such acts.
Furthermore, ZNSPCA extends its gratitude to elephant specialists Karen Trendler and Dr. Lucy Bates whose reports clearly indicated that these elephants had been subjected to cruelty. We acknowledge the role of Dr. A. Dube (BVSc Zim) who carried out the veterinary inspection of the elephants. These specialists’ opinions, and the ZNSPCA Inspectorate reports have paved the way for a brighter future for these elephants.
This cruel capture resulted in ZNSPCA having numerous meetings with National Parks and it has been agreed that Parks will organise workshops with relevant stakeholders in order to address loopholes and prevent such incidents re-occurring in the Country. Controls and codes of conduct for the management of the remaining wild elephants in captivity will also be put in place. ZNSPCA commends National Parks on this positive move.

"This morning Clarin [an Argentine newspaper] reported the appointment of the new Governor of the Falklands - Mr. Nigel Haywood - who will take office in September. The Clarin report is factual and is largely based on Mercopress - which has a good article about him. Clarin concentrates on his experience as consul-general in Basra Britain Britain Falklands . It also makes the point that he is informed about post-war tourism and biodiversity. It also mentions his military background, earlier postings and family."

THE DEAFENING SILENCE
We have recently received the following most poignant message from the Flame Lily Foundation of South Africa (http://www.flf-rasa.org) reminding us all about an earlier but similar act of terrorism to that enacted over Lockerbie :-
Much has been said and written recently regarding the release from a Scottish prison of convicted terrorist Abdelbaset al Megrahi. Pan Am flight 103 exploded in the sky above Lockerbie shortly after taking off from Heathrow on 21 December 1988, killing all 259 passengers and crew and 11 innocent people on the ground.
World leaders were silent when, ten years earlier on 3 September 1978, an unarmed Air Rhodesia civilian airliner, Viscount VP-WAS (named Hunyani), in flight from Kariba to Salisbury was shot down by a gang of ZIPRA terrorists using a Russian SAM 7 missile. Of the 56 men, women and children on board, 38 perished in the crash landing. 10 survivors, including wounded woman and children, were then murdered on the ground by another gang of ZIPRA terrorists. This event must stand as one of the most terrible acts of terrorism in modern times, along with the Lockerbie disaster and the events of 9/11 2001.

The Silence is Deafening
Sermon by Very Rev. John da Costa, Anglican Dean of Salisbury
Clergymen, I am frequently told, should keep out of politics. I thoroughly agree. For this reason, I will not allow politics to be preached in this cathedral. Clergy have to be reconcilers. That is no easy job. A minister of religion who has well-known political views, and allows them to come to the fore, cannot reconcile, but will alienate others, and fail in the chief part of his ministry.
My own ministry began in Ghana kingdom of God
Clergy are usually in the middle, shot at from both sides. It is not an enviable role. Yet times come when it is necessary to speak out, and in direct and forthright terms, like trumpets with unmistakable notes. I believe that this is one such time.
Nobody who holds sacred the dignity of human life can be anything but sickened at the events attending the crash of the Viscount Hunyani. Survivors have the greatest call on the sympathy and assistance of every other human being. The horror of the crash was bad enough, but that this should have been compounded by murder of the most savage and treacherous sort leaves us stunned with disbelief and brings revulsion in the minds of anyone deserving the name "human."
This bestiality, worse than anything in recent history, stinks in the nostrils of Heaven. But are we deafened with the voice of protest from nations which call themselves "civilised"? We are not. Like men in the story of the Good Samaritan, they "pass by, on the other side."
One listens for loud condemnation by Dr. David Owen, himself a medical doctor, trained to extend mercy and help to all in need.
One listens and the silence is deafening.
One listens for loud condemnation by the President of the United States
One listens for loud condemnation by the Pope, by the Chief Rabbi, by the Archbishop of Canterbury, by all who love the name of God.
Again the silence is deafening.
Who is to be blamed for this ghastly episode?
First, those who fired the guns. Who were they? Youths and men who, as likely as not, were until recently in church schools. This is the first terrible fact. Men who went over to the other side in a few months were so indoctrinated that all they had previously learned was obliterated. How could this happen if they had been given a truly Christian education?
Who else is to be blamed?
The United Nations and their church equivalent, the WCC. I am sure they both bear blame in this. Each parade a pseudo-morality which, like all half-truths, is more dangerous than the lie direct. From the safety and comfort of New York Geneva
Who else? The churches? Oh yes, I fear so.
For too long, too many people have been allowed to call themselves "believers" when they have been nothing of the kind. Those who believe must act. If you believe the car is going to crash, you attempt to get out. If you believe the house is on fire, you try to get help and move things quickly. If you believe a child has drunk poison, you rush him to the doctor. Belief must bring about action.
Yet churches, even in our own dangerous times, are more than half-empty all the time. We are surrounded by heathens who equate belief in God with the Western way of life. In many war areas, Africans are told to "burn their Bibles". If this call was made to us, what sort of Bibles would be handed in? Would they be dog-eared from constant use; well-thumbed and marked? Would they be pristine in their virgin loveliness, in the same box in which they were first received?
There are tens of millions of all races who call themselves believers, who never enter any house of prayer and praise. Many are folk who scream loudest against communism, yet do not themselves help to defeat these Satanic forces by means of prayer, and praise and religious witness.
For, make no mistake, if our witness were as it ought to be, men would flock to join our ranks. As it is, we are by-passed by the world, as if irrelevant.
Is anyone else to be blamed for this ghastly episode near Kariba? I think so.
Politicians throughout the world have made opportunist speeches from time to time. These add to the heap of blameworthiness, for a speech can cause wounds which may take years to heal.
The ghastliness of this ill-fated flight from Kariba will be burned upon our memories for years to come. For others, far from our borders, it is an intellectual matter, not one which affects them deeply. Here is the tragedy!
The especial danger of Marxism is its teaching that human life is cheap, expendable, of less importance than the well-being of the State. But there are men who call themselves Christians who have the same contempt for other human beings, and who treat them as being expendable.
I have nothing but sympathy with those who are here today and whose grief we share. I have nothing but revulsion for the less-than-human act of murder which has so horrified us all.
I have nothing but amazement at the silence of so many of the political leaders of the world. I have nothing but sadness that our churches have failed so badly to practise what we preach. May God forgive us all, and may he bring all those who died so suddenly and unprepared into the light of His glorious presence.

BUILDING THE NEW SOUTH AFRICA

A prominent building firm in Cape Town
The contract was for several million, but shortly after the tenders had been opened, the successful tenderer (White) was told that he had to go into partnership with a second (Black) builder, as well as form an association with COSATU, the Black trade union body, as there were two hundred Blacks on his staff. The White builder began to have his doubts, but decided to sign the contract. In due course a certificate was prepared for two million Rand. This was awarded, not to the White builder but to the Black. The latter saw no necessity to notify his White colleague thereof, but paid the entire amount into his own bank account instead of that of the White builder, who had of course single handedly financed the undertaking. But when the White builder advised the PWD that he now had no option but to go into liquidation, he was immediately told he could not do this without the consent of his "partner "and the Trades Union Congress! Such consent was not of course forthcoming. He has given the Public Works Department notice that he is now winding up his business. He was told that he could not do this either, but of course he has no alternative.
This is one of the inevitable results of MacMillan's Winds of Change speech. He cheerfully consigned South African Whites to wholesale victimisation in order to preserve his "democratic" image. A large amount of the blame must also be laid at the doors of those Whites who put the interests of the Blacks before that of their own White fellow countrymen.

KICKING OFF

The trade unions, led by COSATU, are exploiting the government's commitment to the 2010 Soccer World Cup by demanding wage increases in just about every industry. On top of this, taxi associations are threatening to bring the urban areas to a standstill if they don't get their pound of flesh too. Township unrest on lack of service delivery is also fanning the fires of discontent, so the next few months are going to really test the government's ability to cope with the situation.

DRIVING YOU MAD

Can you believe this government of ours? They fire all the doctors in South Africa Durban
They sold it for R70 million, but then within 1.5 years lent the owner R30 million, for operating costs. In effect, after the loans, he had only paid R40 million. He then declared bankruptcy and they bought the company back, which was by now absolutely useless, for R450 million, using ratepayers money.
The interesting thing is, that they buy it back, but according to themselves this is illegal. Now comes the good bit; with R410 million profit in his pocket, the local government hand over the running of the bus service back to him! It now has come to light that he should never have been able to buy it in the first place as he has been convicted of fraud. "Which nobody knew about." Now the ratepayers of Durban have to walk around on filthy, crime ridden streets with names that nobody knows or can even pronounce while our city manager, Mike Sutcliffe, drives around with bodyguards and goes home, to his flat (valued at more than R1 million) at the Point waterfront, with wonderful clean streets, which by the way has been declared a rates free zone till 2014.

ROGUES GALLERY
Most readers will undoubtedly recall how the SCN previously gave good publicity to a small political party called "New Britain
We received some criticism for so doing as Mr. Delderfield was very much of a one-man-band, and his "New Britain" party had got absolutely nowhere in spite of almost 40 years of existence. We rejected these criticisms however, not only because we very much liked and admired Mr. Delderfield personally, but also because - small though it was - New Britain
Initially our faith in Mr. Delderfield seemed well-founder. He remained loyal to the official Swinton Circle (of which he was a member) at the time of the crisis which engulfed the organisation last year, and indeed performed the invaluable task of acting as temporary Chairman during the EGM of 17th January 2009. Suddenly however, shortly after this, he inexplicably contacted us and asked us to stop advertising his events! No specific reason was given for this hurtful request, but it appeared that he had chosen to change sides and to back the breakaway rebels.
Confirmation of this came recently when we were forwarded a leaflet advertising a meeting which Delderfield was organising. This not only involved his own "New Britain Swinton Circle Swinton Circle 22nd July 2008 , has been exposed as a former Chairman of the far-right National Front, and is rumoured to be a leading power-behind-the-scenes in the neo-fascist BNP. Ironically, moreover, Delderfield himself attacked Anderscum fiercely and exposed his political extremism a few years ago in his "New Britain
So what has caused Delderfield's sudden volte-face? Alas we haven't got a clue - but one thing is for certain, and that is that by his recent betrayal of friends and his decision to change sides in order to support the same most undesirable elements which he previously so forthrightly opposed, he has put to naught all his efforts and achievements of 40 years of political endeavour.
