SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

April 2011 edition

On Friday March 18th an extremely revealing programme entitled "African Railway" was broadcast on BBC2. This documentary reported on the current position of the Tazara Railway which runs from the Copper Belt in

Zambia

(Northern Rhodesia) to Dar Es Salaam in

Tanzania

(

Tanganyika

), and was devastating in its findings.

This railway was built in the late 1960s/early 1970s at the behest of the Zambian despot Kenneth Kaunda as an alternative route to export Zambian copper to the traditional export route through

Rhodesia

and

South Africa

. It was not built by the Zambian and Tanzanian Africans however, nor was it built by the former European colonial powers (who of course had discovered and developed the copper deposits in this part of Africa in the first place) - it was built by the Communist Chinese.

Now, merely 40 years after it was originally constructed, this railway has practically collapsed. Instead of the original six train services per week there are now only two scheduled - and these are constantly subjected to day-long delays and cancellations due to constant breakdowns and accidents. Not surprisingly the result of this disintegration of the service is that the railway has become completely bankrupt. Unable to mount a rescue package themselves the Zambian and Tanzanian governments have been forced to look elsewhere - yes, you've guessed it, back to the Chinese!

But for how long will the People's Republic of

China

be prepared to subsidise this chaotic service? With internal dissention increasing at home (and not only in

Tibet

and Xinjiang), and with the administration of Hu Jintao apparently less keen on overseas involvement than its immediate predecessors, it would appear not for very long. Indeed those on-the-spot Chinese officials who appeared on the programme seemed to be half-hearted (at best) in their interest in the project to which they had been tasked.

It was not only the railway itself which was shown to be disintegrating by this programme however, but the whole of Zambian and Tanzanian society - just as other honest documentaries about current-day Africa have constantly illustrated. We've said it before and we'll say it again - only the re-establishment of colonial rule by

Britain

and the other great European powers will be able to save Africa from its own follies and self-destruction.

SPRINGBOK CLUB'S MARCH EVENT

In March the Springbok Club held a most pleasant and well-attended "sports day" at a venue in central London, at which matches from both the Cricket World Cup and the Rugby 6-Nations tournament were viewed on the large screen. This new format for events staged by the organisation which was agreed at January's AGM seems to be proving a good success therefore, so similar such activities are being planned for the future.

SPRINGBOK CLUB'S APRIL ACTIVITY

The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will be staging a social get-together in Canterbury on Saturday 23rd April, to which all members and supporters of the organisation are warmly invited. This will consist of a conducted tour of Canterbury Cathedral during the late morning, followed by an informal pub-gathering in the afternoon. All members and supporters from Kent will be informed of the precise details of activities during the next few days, but if anyone from elsewhere is interested in attending then please e-mail springbk@netcomuk.co.uk for more information.

FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB EVENTS

In late May the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to Hatfield House in Hertfordshire in order to celebrate Empire Day. During this visit respects will be paid at the RLI "Troopie" Statue which is now situated there, as well as a tour of Hatfield House itself.

In June the Springbok Club will be holding its summer braai in London, at which there will be special musical and other entertainment.

During July the Springbok Club will be staging a special event in order to celebrate Rhodes & Founders Day. More information will be included in next month's SCN.

SPRINGBOK CLUB BRANCH NEWS

The London Branch of the Springbok Club will be staging an informal pub gathering during late Spring 2011, and the Northern Ireland Branch of the organisation is anticipating staging another get-together during the Summer.

It is also hoped that a get-together to re-establish the Hampshire Branch of the Springbok Club will be staged shortly.

Full details about all these events will be appearing in future editions of the SCN.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

Unfortunately the planned April meeting of the Swinton Circle has had to be postponed until May because of other important commitments involving the planned guest speaker. During the Summer the Swinton Circle will be staging its annual buffet at which there will be a special guest of honour, and in October the organisation will be holding its 2011 AGM. Later during the year meetings will be held in the Houses of Parliament complex involving Parliamentary guest speakers from both the Conservative Party and the DUP.

We would also like to remind everyone that the Swinton Circle now has a presence on Twitter, on which news about the organisation and policy statements are periodically posted. This can be found on Twitter@SwintonCircle.

KLEINFONTEIN BOEREBELANGE KOöPERATIEF BEPERK

Kleinfontein is a community of approximately 1000 members of the Afrikaner people. OPEN LETTER TO KEVIN MYERS OF THE IRISH INDEPENDENT

One of our supporters, Allan Banfield, has recently sent the following excellent letter to Mr. Kevin Myers, a journalist on "The Irish Independent". We alas do not know whether any reply was ever received from Mr. Myers :-

"Dear Mr Myers,

"The recent murder of a British tourist in a Cape Town (Black) township/suburb/ghetto has become quite a talking point in the South African ex-pat' community in the UK.

"What has astonished us is the uproar the UK media is making about one of their citizens whilst for the past 16 years they have been remarkably silent about the 300,000+ (conservative estimate) South Africans who have been randomly and brutally slaughtered since majority rule and 'Freedom' in 1994.

"Within that figure are about 40,000 White citizens and within that figure are 3,700+ farmers - mainly Afrikaners. One of the knock on affects of this White genocide (Ref.: www.genocidewatch) is that nearly 1 MILLION White South Africans (i.e. about 20% of the White population) have chosen to emigrate to safer first world countries to find work and a safe haven in which to raise their children. The majority of these emigrants are professionals and business entrepreneurs. The country can ill afford this loss of skilled man power.

"However, what no one in the West wants to acknowledge is that Black South Africans are very adept at killing their own. At least 80% of all these murders are Black on Black. This is the gruesome harvest that universal franchise, multiracial elections and inept Black government has bequeathed the country.

for tearing their families and communities apart by forcefully trying to impose Western culture and customs on them. Conversely White South Africa which left the Black societies intact and transferred Western ways through a gradual parallel process of osmosis are vilified as oppressors. Ironically Black South Africans are the best educated and most prosperous indigenous ethnic community on the continent today - whilst fully retaining all their own languages and customs. Even during the apartheid days

had an illegal immigrant problem with Blacks from the northern nations trying to access its prosperous economy.

"Within this melting pot of cultures, conflicts and politics we have the Dutch/Boer/Afrikaner community who can rightly claim that they have been probably the most oppressed ethnic community in the country, by both Blacks and Whites since their arrival in 1652, and yet there is no apology from Britain for taking their Republics from them and in the process presiding over the deaths of 23,000 of their children and 4,000 of their women.

"In 1994 they lost their country which they had built in partnership with their erstwhile oppressors - the British/South African English. From 1902 to 1948 and on to 1994 this is could be justly described as one of the most remarkable reconciliation processes the world has seen.

"Yet still today no-one in the West - neither governments nor the media - wants to publicise their current plight to the rest of the world, and certainly the British Government does not appear to have any intention of apologising to them for their injustices of the past.

One thing which you didn't mention was that - warped and unbelievable though it might seem - during the 1980s leading members of the BNP including present BNP leader Nick Griffin visited Libya at the invitation of the Gaddafi regime, and subsequently condemned the American bombing raids of this terrorist haven. This I have had confirmed from two separate sources.

THE CURSE OF SPRINGBOK

There were no tears when we heard the news of the recent death of Ian "Anderscum" Anderson. Although Anderscum had been in an exchange agreement with S.A.Patriot during the 1980s he didn't seem to have any direct connection to

South Africa

, nor any specific interest in southern African affairs. Furthermore, the initial impression which he left after he made direct contact with us during the early 1990s was of an extremely conceited and supercilious man, and as a result no on-going links were established.

The next contact which we had with Anderscum was when he turned up unexpectedly at a Swinton Circle meeting some dozen years later. He subsequently became a fairly regular attendee of Swinton Circle meetings, although he never actually joined the organisation, always being brought along by a sidekick who had taken out membership. Anderscum's contribution to Swinton Circle meetings proved extremely negative and detrimental however. His questioning of guest speakers was invariably aggressive and antagonistic, which caused the organisation great embarrassment and potential loss of reputation. The views which he expressed, furthermore, were often in direct conflict to the patriotic principles of the Swinton Circle - though in some cases they were simply downright weird (he once even expressed opposition to a central NHS database being set-up - no, we're not making this up!).

It wasn't only Anderscum's arrogant behaviour at Swinton Circle meetings which caused great disquiet within the organisation however. It was soon revealed that he was a member of a grouping called the "Conservative Democratic Alliance", a now defunct outfit which comprised a small handful of "moan and groan" malcontents who never had a good word to say about anyone outside their own jaundiced circle. Indeed the CDA once vowed that they would "smash" both the Springbok Club and the Swinton Circle on their web-site forum - for no apparent reason! The founder of the CDA was the late and unlamented Michael Keith-Smith (see SCNs passim) with whom Anderson seemed to share many character defects. Both would oppose every policy emanating for any government no matter what its colour and regardless of the merits of the policy (note Anderscum's irrational opposition to a central NHS database!), and both would attack and smear anyone and everyone who was not a member of their own "I hate the world" clique of malcontents. This trouble-making grouping (which never numbered more than about a dozen adherents) was accurately nicknamed the "sickly clique" within authentic patriotic circles, and indeed it was widely noted that Anderscum never had a good word for anyone whose name was not Ian Anderson!

But even more damning evidence was soon to come to light about Anderscum - thanks in no small part to readers of the SCN. It was revealed that during the 1980s Anderson had been first Deputy Chairman and then Chairman of the extremist National Front. Even worse, when he was Deputy Chairman the Chairman of this party had been a certain Andrew Brons - who is now an MEP for the overtly neo-fascist BNP! Within the National Front, furthermore, he had been a leading member of a faction called the "National Front Support Group", which advocated close co-operation with this same BNP - and indeed we have recently been sent a picture (the authenticity of which we do not doubt) showing Anderscum marching side-by-side with the neo-fascists' leader Nick Griffin!

As a result of his disruptive behaviour at meetings and his proven connections to unacceptable organisations such as the CDA, NF and BNP it was decided that he should be barred from attending future Swinton Circle meetings. This barring worked well for several months, and the support for and reputation of the Swinton Circle rose accordingly. At the problematic meeting of 22nd July 2008, however, he turned up again together with four other known members of the antagonistic "sickly clique" (two of whom had also been barred from attending Swinton Circle meetings), but when instructed to leave he and the other uninvited and unwelcome gate-crashers started to cause a scene.

Around 1990 Anderscum had apparently been expelled from the National Front, evidently because of his arrogant and obnoxious attitude (no mean achievement!), yet somehow had managed to gain control of the party's house publication known as "The Flag", which he continued to publish firstly in support of his short-lived rival "National Democratic Party" (named after the German neo-fascist party, but which collapsed after only a few months following Anderscum's ignominious humiliation at the hands of the Monster Raving Loony Party in a by-election!), and then as a privately-published publication. Following his barring from the Swinton Circle, however, he wrote a most offensive and libellous article attacking the Swinton Circle Chairman in "The Flag" - but attacking and smearing everyone who he came into contact was Anderscum's stock-in-trade by this time, for in the same edition he smeared Nigel Farage MEP, the Leader of UKIP, and members of the BNP as well (yes, he had fallen out with them also!)

Anderscum's only contribution to national life was negativism, disruption and hatred. The world is undoubtedly a better place for his demise.

ROGUES GALLERY

Anderscum hasn't been the only member of the "sickly clique" who has disappeared from the scene over recent months, as we learnt a few months ago that the notorious Arthur Kemp had been recalled to

South Africa

. Kemp had mysteriously become a leading official of the neo-fascist BNP during the early 2000s, but on 6th March 2011 he issued the following statement on his blogspot:-

"Dear All,

"Please be advised that I am, with immediate effect, stepping down from the positions of party web editor, AC member and foreign affairs spokesman [of the BNP].

"As you might now [sic], I have not been on any payroll, nor subject to any contract, and thus have no notice period to work out.

"Yours sincerely

"Arthur Kemp"

It is uncertain what the initials "AC" stand for, nor why it took Kemp several months after his recall to

South Africa

to resign his positions within the BNP.

The following undisputed facts about Kemp should be born in mind:-

1) He was widely believed by leading members of the HNP to be working for the SAP Special Branch to spy on the White right-wing during the 1980s, when he was officially doing his national service in the SAP uniformed branch.

2) He wrote (or co-wrote) a discredited book entitled "Victory or Violence: The Story of the AWB" in 1990/91, which received ominous publicity in the South African media and which was used to exaggerate the size and importance of the AWB outfit out of all proportion. The alleged influence of the absurd AWB was then used by the NP establishment to demonise the "Vote No" campaign during the 1992 Referendum.

3) He turned State's Witness in the show trial of that great South African patriot Clive Derby-Lewis, stating in the witness box that he had supplied Clive's wife Gaye with a list of addresses of leading ANC operatives, including that of Chris Hani. Clive Derby-Lewis was convicted of Hani's murder in spite of the lack of any real evidence - apart from the claims of Kemp.

4) Kemp was dismissed from his employment by the Conservative Party of South Africa during the early 1990s. Although no official reason was given for his dismissal, it was widely believed to have been because the CP hierarchy were convinced that he was spying on the party for the security services.

5) A report in "The Mail & Guardian" of February 18th 1997 stated: "Intelligence and police sources have confirmed to the M&G that Kemp, a former police security branch member, has been an informant for the NIS [National Intelligence Service]. It is alleged that after the assassination [of Hani] the NIS decided to play 'open cards' with F.W. de Klerk's government: the agency told the then-president of its relationship with Kemp". This allegation was never withdrawn by "The Mail & Guardian".

All these facts have been openly in the public domain for many years. The fact that Kemp could have gained high rank in the BNP and retained his position for the best part of a decade surely says everything which needs to be said about the phoney nature of the BNP.

International headlines over the past couple of months have been dominated by the popular uprisings in certain Arab countries against despotic regimes - though in the case of

Libya

even the term "despotic" probably seems too polite to describe Gaddafi and his henchmen!

Perhaps the most encouraging factor about these uprisings is that they have in the main been orchestrated the younger, more secular, more media-savvy and pro-Western sections of the population, and have not involved Islamic fundamentalist elements such as the Muslim Brotherhood. It is also a fact that these uprisings have undoubtedly been encouraged, if not actually influenced, by Western intervention to remove similar tyrannical regimes in the Islamic world, specifically in

Iraq

and

Afghanistan

. The Libyan freedom-fighters may proclaim that they can liberate themselves without any need for Western military intervention, but alas more recent developments in that unfortunate land have demonstrated that forces loyal to the madman Gaddafi cannot be defeated by internal opposition alone, and that some form of Western muscular aid is necessary.

But perhaps there is another more basic factor regarding these uprisings which has been overlooked. The discontent with the ruling regimes hasn't simply occurred overnight - there has clearly been massive opposition to the rule of the tyrants for many decades, indeed right from the moments when they usurped power. In the regard the post-WWII Western mindset is probably to blame. Had the French not abdicated power in

Tunisia

then the Tunisian people would not have suffered under Ben Ali. Had

Britain

not capitulated to UN pressure after the Suez intervention then the Egyptian people would not have been under the yoke of Mubarak (it should never be forgotten that Mubarak is the direct second-heir of the despot Nasser). Had the Italians not abandoned

Libya

then the Libyan people would have been infinitely less suppressed.

Even after their abdication of colonial authority the Western powers still alas acted in a most reprehensible - maybe even cowardly - manner. It didn't take long for the deranged megalomaniac Gaddafi to reveal his true colours after he deposed King Idris some 41 years ago, yet the Western powers did nothing - nothing - (except for a few ineffective bombing raids during the mid-1980s) to remove this tyrant. As a result Gaddafi's regime was able to enact the bombing of PanAm 103 over Lockerbie, murder WPC Yvonne Fletcher in London, and to supply arms to their brother-terrorists of SF/IRA. Had the West possessed leadership with courage and determination 41 years ago to intervene once the true nature of Gaddafi's evil regime became apparent then not only would the Libyan people have been spared 41 years of unnecessary suffering, but WPC Fletcher, all the innocents killed at Lockerbie and the countless innocent citizens of Northern Ireland who were slaughter by SF/IRA scum using weapons supplied by Gaddafi would all probably still be alive today.

But how does all this relate to those of us from Southern Africa? For two main reasons. Firstly Gaddafi enjoyed very close personal friendship with the unreconstructed ANC terrorist leader "Nelson" Mandela (indeed a picture of Gaddafi and his brother-terrorist Mandela hugging one another appeared in S.A.Patriot-in-Exile No.35). How much longer, we therefore wonder, before the Blacks of South Africa rise up against the tyrants of the ANC regime in a similar manner to which the Arabs of Tunisia,

Egypt

and

Libya

have risen up against their own despots? - and likewise in "

Zimbabwe

" and "

Namibia

" against the tyrannical ZANU/PF and SWAPO regimes also?

Secondly it has been extremely encouraging to observe that the Libyan freedom-fighters have not only totally rejected the plain green flag of the Gaddafi regime, but furthermore, instead of adopting some form of new flag, have eagerly reinstated the former flag of King Idris's Libya! There have been many who have cynically dismissed our own adherence to the only true and real South African flag, saying that "it will never be reinstated" - yet here now is the third example since the NP capitulation to the ANC terrorists where a country has reverted to their former authentic flags after a period of suppressive dictatorial rule - firstly in Russia (and indeed, with minor alterations, in other former Iron Curtain countries also), then in Afghanistan, and now in Libya. As far as world history is concerned, therefore, it's probably best never to say "never"!

SPRINGBOK CLUB FEBRUARY EVENT

The Springbok Club held a happy and constructive social get-together in south London last month, at which ExCo member Susan Gordon gave a most informative illustrated report-back on her recent trip back to

Kenya

where she was born. Unfortunately the new location in south London didn't prove very convenient for many supporters, and the turnout was therefore somewhat lower than hoped and anticipated. This was a pity, as those her weren't able to attend because of the location missed a most pleasant and convivial evening's activity.

SPRINGBOK CLUB'S MARCH ACTIVITY

As agreed at the Springbok Club's 2011 AGM in January, the organisation will be staging a special informal "Sports Day" in March, the details of which are as follows :-

Date : Saturday 19th March

Time : Turn up at any time from mid-day onwards

Venue : The Bok Bar, 56 Blandford Street, London W1U 7JA (nearest underground station: Baker Street. Cross the Marylebone Road [A501] then head down Baker Street, where Blandford Street is the fourth on the left.)

Screenings of both the Cricket World Cup matches between South Africa and Bangladesh (East Bengal) and Australia and Pakistan (the North-West Frontier Districts), as well as all three Rugby 6-nation matches will be shown at this venue during the day. The location is also very adjacent to Madam Tussaud’s Waxworks, the Wallace Collection with its fine armoury, a comprehensive bookshop with a good history section at 91 Marylebone High Street, and Regents Park - so all are therefore invited to what promises to be a most enjoyable and uplifting informal day out.

FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB EVENTS

In April 2011 the Springbok Club will be holding a full day's activities to celebrate Van Riebeeck's Day, which it is anticipated will include a braai and special musical entertainment.

In May the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to Hatfield House in Hertfordshire in order to pay respects at the RLI "Troopie" Statue which is now situated there, as well as touring Hatfield House itself.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

The Swinton Circle held a most successful and enthralling meeting earlier this month which was addressed by Mr. Christopher Gillibrand MA, MBA. Mr. Gillibrand, who is a highly respected political commentator and the director of a Brussels-based pro-free market think-tank, gave a highly informative talk entitled "EU - the Final Act?" in which he demonstrated why Britain's entanglement with the EU was the main reason for the UK's current political, social and economic catastrophe. He finished his talk on a far more optimistic note however, asking the question "what will happen now, and what can we do about it?", which was a call to action to defend traditional British liberties, advocating that Britain should once more look towards the outside world (particularly the United States) rather than to the European continent for its closest relationships.

A further most encouraging development from this meeting was that a number of excellent new contacts were made, which could lead to several similar interesting guest speakers being invited to address the Swinton Circle in the near future - in addition to the MP speakers who are already scheduled for later during the year.

We have recently been forwarded the following significant media statement by the Transvaal Agricultural Union of South Africa :-

"TAU SA objects in the strongest terms imaginable to the newly-appointed Deputy Minister of Police Maggie Sotyu's statement that Whites are sentenced too light by the courts and that they should be punished heavier.

"She stepped close to the same ill-considered and irresponsible trap of some of her colleagues in the past, by making wild statements without a single fact to submit to her unsubstantiated assertion, even just to try to substantiate it.

This was clear from the sentence of the Skierlik-shooter and from the fact that a rugby player gets R100,000 bail in connection with the death of a cop. Even Mr. Clive Derby-Lewis's case shows that Whites are more heavily punished and denied their rights, in contrast to the treatment of Mr. Zuma's friend, Shabir Shaik.

"'The deputy minister again creates an environment where Whites are given an unfair sense of guilt and where whites will become victims of hateful racist elements. This can lead to violence against whites, which can include farm attacks,' said Mr. Ben Marais, President of TAU SA.

"TAU SA calls on Mr. Zuma immediately to recall his newly appointed deputy minister as she has not yet entrenched in her new position, because she is blowing up racial hatred, and shows a callous disregard for the work of the judiciary, said Marais."

No.148 : Mr. DAVID OVERTON of Cape Town.

David Overton was one of the four original founders of the Save Rhodesia Campaign in Cape Town during the mid 1970s. Alas, following the internal friction which affected the organisation shortly after its formation, when Brendan Willmer staged a coup to eject his fellow-founders Stanley Deane and Bernie Foyle, David Overton initially sided with the wretched Willmer - though this was a decision which he subsequently lived to regret. He was a highly talented and extremely likeable political operative, and acted as a supremely effective press officer for the SRC during the early period of its existence. Once he saw through the phoniness of Willmer, however, he left the organisation, and is believed to have moved to Europe in order to embark upon a writing career. Willmer, and alas Stanley Deane and Bernie Foyle also, are all now dead, but we have no idea of what became of David Overton. Any further information about him would therefore be most appreciated.

The nail that sticks up gets hammered down, the tall trees catch the wind. The price we pay for honesty is the attacks of the dishonest, who vastly outnumber us. You may recall that after President de Klerk repealed all the apartheid legislation

was plunged into an orgy of violence. Some 12,000 people (mainly Blacks) lost their lives between 1990 ad 1994. The security forces killed about 700 trying to maintain peace in the townships. Blacks were responsible for killing about 11,000 of their own.

Question: What was it all about? Answer: To terrorise the proletariat into voting for the ANC in the forthcoming elections - which the West duly declared free and fair.

We now also know that some 3,700 White farmers in

have been randomly and brutally slaughtered in the 16 years since "freedom" in 1994.

Question: Again we ask the question - Why? Answer: Look at

Has the time not come for you to start informing your readers of the truth behind all the nefarious activities of the ANC? Has the time not come for the civilised world actually to make a stand and restore capable government to these previous Western allies before they fall into the opposition camp forever?

The eloquent illustrated address by Roy Bennett to the UK Parliament clearly laid out the game plan of ZANU-PF and the ANC. Is anybody going to do something or are we just going to tut-tut and continue with our 'politically correct' lives for fear of being labelled "racist"?

ESCAPE ROUTE

When word got out that Canada granted Brandon Huntley asylum, the ANC regime put great pressure on Ottawa to have it reversed, since it 'embarrassed' the illicit Marxist regime in South Africa. Not many people know that more than 800 White South Africans have been granted political asylum in the past ten years, numerous of those being in the UK. Why the Huntley case drew so much attention is not known.

DIRTY TRICKS

Thankfully we have received no further reports of the circulation of the vile and evil fabricated obscene pictures claimed to be of the editor of the SCN, no doubt because this disgusting smear has been reported to the Police - and the person responsible for this depraved concoction knows this to be the case!

We have however recently been informed of a very similar degenerate smear campaign which has been waged against a well-known EuroSceptic maverick (we won't name the EuroSceptic in question or the web-site on which this smear appears in other to spare him embarrassment). This attack also involved a fabricated picture of an individual in a perverted pose - though in this case with the head of the victim superimposed upon a semi-naked male body (probably by means of Photoshop software, which we were informed by an expert had obviously been used on some of the earlier doctored pictures of the editor). Although this recent fake picture claiming to be of the EuroSceptic maverick is clothed in somewhat different fetish attire to the previous concocted photographs, the body-build of the figure pictured indicates that the same male model was used in both cases.

It of course brings us no pleasure to learn that there is now another innocent victim of the evil fabricator of these pornographic pictures, but it does even so confirm that the culprit is a totally sick individual, who is in dire need of psychiatric treatment.
