August 2009 edition

One of the most unfortunate and worrying recent developments which we have detected in the "new" South Africa has been the apparent resurrection of stirred-up antipathy between the Afrikaner and British-South African sections of the White community. Over he past few months we have read a number of articles which have unjustly blamed the English-speaking section of the population alone for South Africa's current plight, and our organisation has been subjected to a series of deranged and infantile insulting e-mails from one particular apparently Afrikaans gentleman who seems to prefer South Africa to remain under ANC terrorist rule than for British-South Africans to play any part in the liberation of the country.

Such "divide and rule" tactics by the enemies of the South African nation are nothing new of course, for orchestrated antagonism between Afrikaners and British-South Africans was one of the main weapons in the armoury of the NP/ANC alliance in their softening up and sell-out of the country during the late 1980s/early 1990s. There was the notorious SABC drama about the aftermath of the 2nd Anglo-Boer War which needlessly re-opened wounds of almost a century previously, and who can forget the ludicrous AWB outfit (later of course exposed as a front-organisation established by the sell-out authorities precisely for this purpose) with their sickening call to "drive all English-speakers into the sea".

Our movement - right from our beginnings during the 1970s - has always believed passionately in White unity. We must never forget that the South African national motto during the days of responsible government was "Unity is Strength". To be sure, the Anglo-Boer Wars were complete and unnecessary tragedies, but there is no point, no point whatsoever, in returning to that sorry era in order to accredit blame. Both those two great commanders of Boer forces during the 2nd Anglo-Boer War, Louis Botha and Jan Christian Smuts, realised this fact even during the immediate aftermath of the tragic hostilities. They were both TRUE heroes of the South African nation who chose to forget the horrors of the conflict and to move on - to move on to build a united and vibrant South African nation which became a beacon of hope for the rest of the civilised world. Had the spirit of Smuts and Louis Botha survived into the 1980s then possibly, just possibly, South Africa would not have fallen to the forces of evil during the 1990s.

Today once more there is no point in dwelling upon the past. What has happened has happened, and we must all look to the future. Our task therefore is to work towards the re-establishment of a vibrant and civilised South African first-world nation - but this can only be achieved if Afrikaners and British-South Africans are united in opposition to the common terrorist enemy. In this respect those who continue to try to divide Afrikaners from British-South Africans - such as the deranged gentleman referred to above - must be regarded as just as much an enemy as our more overt ANC foe.

SPRINGBOK CLUB/ELC LONDON BRANCH EVENT

The London Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC staged a small but highly enjoyable trip to Crystal Palace Park last month. Crystal Palace Park is the home of not only one of the main athletic stadiums in the UK, but also still possesses a number of most fascinating sculptures of dinosaurs dating back to the Great Exhibition of 1851 (the original "crystal palace" exhibition hall of the 1851 Great Exhibition was of course moved from Hyde Park to what became known as Crystal Palace Park on the Bromley/Croydon border following the closure of the Exhibition). After a somewhat problematic year or so the London Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC now seems to be firmly back on the road again under the keen leadership of Dr. John Pope-de Locksley, and further branch trips and activities are being planned for later during the year.

SPRINGBOK CLUB RHODES & FOUNDERS CELEBRATIONS

Unfortunately circumstances prevented the Springbok Club from staging their annual Rhodes & Founders Day celebrations during July itself this year, but arrangements have now been finalised for a delayed celebration, the details of which are as follows :-

Date :  Thursday 20th August 2009

Time :  assemble from 18.00 hrs onwards, meeting to commence at 19.00 hrs.

Venue: THE ANTELOPE (the upstairs function room) 22 Eaton Terrace, Belgravia, London SW1W 8EZ  (nearest tube station: Sloane Square - turn right out of the main entrance, then right into the north side of Sloane Square which becomes Cliveden Place, then finally left into Eaton Terrace where The Antelope is on the left).

Mr. Mark Pilbeam served as a Senior Trooper in the Rhodesian Light Infantry from 1977 to 1979. The RLI was a parachute regiment respected around the world which honed the art of "Fireforce" to its ultimate deadly perfection during the Rhodesian Bush War. Mark is now the Chairman of the UK Branch of the RLI Regimental Association, a worldwide organisation of ex-servicemen who served in the regiment, which was re-formed in 2008. He is also a teacher of law and politics at the North Warwickshire and Hinckley College. In his talk he will tell the story of the Bush War through his own personal introspection, as well as commenting upon its consequences and aftermath. He will also tell the story of how the "Troopie" bronze statue honouring those RLI members who made the supreme sacrifice during the Bush War was smuggled out of ZANU-PF Zimbabwe, first to South Africa and eventually to the UK, and its continuing relevance to the men and women who served in Rhodesia. (The Springbok Club of course staged a visit to view the "Troopie" statue in order to pay their respects when it was housed at the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum in Bristol in 2001.)

A sumptuous array of buffet snacks will be provided at this gathering, and the costs will be £10.00 per head for Full Members of the SC/ELC, £12.50 per head for Associate Members, and £15.00 per head for non-members. We would however ask everyone to let us know one way or the other whether they expect to attend by Monday 17th August (by 'phone if possible on 07711188430) so that numbers can be estimated as accurately as possible for the ordering of buffet snacks.

FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB/ELC EVENTS

In September the Springbok Club is planning to stage an autumn braai in eastern London, at which it is hoped that one of the leading members of the organisation will give a "report-back" on his recent international travels.

In November the Springbok Club will be staging their annual UDI Day buffet, at which a prominent Rhodesian personality will be guest of honour.

In December the Springbok Club will hold their annual Day of the Vow commemorations, at which a prominent British politician will be guest of honour.

SPRINGBOK CLUB/ELC BRANCH NEWS

A meeting to re-constitute the Northern Ireland Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC will be held during the evening of Tuesday 25th August in central Belfast. Will all those interested in attending please 'phone 07711188430 in order to obtain the precise details.

The London Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC is planning to hold a get-together during the autumn, when a leading expert will be giving an informal talk about Anglo-Saxon archaeology.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

The Swinton Circle has continued with its various policy campaigns by initiating a letter-writing campaign advocating that defence spending should be doubled. The following is the copy of a letter recently written to the mainstream media in the UK on this subject :-

"Dear Sirs,

"Over the past eleven years, and to some extent from earlier, there have been significant reductions to Defence spending in Britain. This has proved seriously damaging to our defence capability and has undermined our security, both at home and abroad. It has directly caused loss of life to many of our soldiers.

"It is completely unacceptable that our safety should be jeopardised by lack of military equipment and personnel.

"The view of the Swinton Circle is that Defence spending must be doubled without delay.

"The money for this restoration to a proper level of Defence financing may be obtained by recognising that there is in reality no reciprocity in 'paid-for' medical care between the EU and Britain. People not paying taxes in Britain should be required to have Health Insurance, or to pay directly for health treatment. This will be the same as almost every other country. The E111 or 'European Health Insurance Card' does not prevent the requirement to pay.

"The question 'do you have Health Insurance?' or 'do you have money or credit card?' is a simple one.  Emergency life threatening events are handled differently.

WORRYING REPORT FROM THE ZIMBABWE CONSERVATION TASK FORCE

Since the inauguration of our new Government of National Unity, contrary to what we expected, we are receiving more and more requests for assistance in raising funds to try to preserve the wildlife. We know that a lot of people around the world are finding life a lot more difficult now with the world-wide recession so we are reluctant to ask for help but if anyone is in a position to assist with funds for any of the following projects, we would be extremely grateful.

CAPTURE OF WILD ELEPHANTS

We have just circulated a report from the ZNSPCA regarding the capture of 10 wild elephants from the Matabeleland area in Zimbabwe. The elephants have apparently been bought by Basil Steyn, part owner of "Elephant Experience" in Victoria Falls and it is alleged that Chengeta Safaris near Harare intend to purchase 5 of them from Mr Steyn.

The ZNSPCA found the elephants on Sondelani Ranch in West Nicholson, which belongs to Basil Steyn. They are chained up in a metal boma with no shade or shelter and are only released for training.

The Director General of National Parks assured the ZNSPCA that they have not issued a permit for the capture of the elephants but it is common knowledge that it is not possible to capture any animal in Zimbabwe without their approval.

Karen Trendler of South Africa has agreed to come to Zimbabwe to inspect the elephants providing the ZNSPCA can pay for her trip and they have requested our assistance in raising funds for this. If anyone is able to help, it would be greatly appreciated.

ELEPHANTS IN MUTARE

We are receiving an increasing number of reports about wild animals being seen in urban areas, possibly because humans are encroaching more and more into areas previously reserved for wildlife resulting in the destruction of their habitat.

For the past few months, people have been reporting seeing leopards and servals in the Greystone Park area of Harare but nobody seems overly concerned about it because they feel this might account for the low crime rate in the area. However, we were asked for assistance recently because a Greystone Park resident woke up one morning to discover that all that remained of his Boerbull, was his head and hind leg. We called in the wildlife vets, Keith Dultow and Lisa Marabini to examine the evidence and they confirmed that the dog was killed by a leopard. The resident's wife claims she has also seen a small leopard on her property so it is possible that the offending leopard has a cub. We have set a number of traps around the area to try and catch the leopards so they can be released into a wildlife area.

We have been asked to assist with the relocation of 3 elephants who have taken to wandering through the City of Mutare. National Parks wanted to shoot the elephants before they kill somebody but the ZNSPCA has managed to obtain a permit to relocate them instead. The problem is funding for the relocation. National Parks won't wait for much longer before destroying the elephants so we need to raise funds urgently for this.

FENCING FOR IMIRE

Imire Safari Ranch is one of the few private game ranches left and they are desperately in need of new game fencing, especially in view of the fact that they have 4 black rhinos there. They are losing animals every week to poachers and it is very important that their fencing is renewed but again, funding is the problem.

ENCOURAGING NEWS ABOUT GAYLE HOENIG

In the May edition of the SCN we reported the most sad news that Gayle Hoenig, the animal welfare activist from Colorado, had suffered a serious stroke. Since then we have received a slightly more encouraging report about Gayle's condition from Steve Gassaway, the Executive Director of "Rescue Without Borders" :-

"I visited Gayle today in the nursing home she is staying at in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (The Aspen Living Center). Right there was a beautiful card with a lion on the front and a beautiful message. I wish you could see how Gayle's face lit up when I brought it to her attention. Gayle held it and read the message and loved the thoughts behind it. Please let Gayle's friends know that the cards mean a lot to her and they brighten up her room and her life. I told her of the victory for the Canadian Harp Seals with the decision by the E.U. and Russia to ban the skins/pelts from Harp Seals form Canada. Gayle is such a wonderful spirit, even now, and I hope that everyone continues to pray for her. She is a real champ."

LATEST FALKLANDS NEWS

We recently received the following interesting item from a pro-Falkland Islands circulation list :-

"La Nacion [an Argentine newspaper] has an article this morning, and Clarin [another Argentine publication] has two, expressing Argentine anger at the submission by Britain of a claim to the UN to extend its seabed sovereignty beyond the 200 mile limit around the Falklands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The articles are all much the same. Clarin quotes Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana as stating Argentina's 'most energetic rejection' of Britain's move, and goes on to say that it is 'unacceptable and inadmissible'. It also quotes a British source as saying that it is all a 'normal process' and that London 'has no doubt' that the sovereignty of the Islands belongs to Britain. Clarin also mentions that Argentina did the same in April."

RHODESIAN LIGHT INFANTRY DVD

The Rhodesian Light Infantry Regimental Association in the UK (part of the world-wide RLI Regimental Association) has recently had a series of films on a single DVD created which tell the story of the Rhodesian Bush War, as seen through the eyes of the men who fought in it. This is a new set of films which are not in anyway related to those that have been around for a number of years, and the proceeds are to be used to maintain our Troopie statue, smuggled out of Zimbabwe, as well as the creation and maintenance of an RLI museum.

WORLD CUP WILLIES

We have recently received the following most revealing report about draconian media laws in the "new" South Africa, which could well effect the staging of the 2010 Soccer World Cup :-

"Draconian media laws that almost resulted in a blackout of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which begins in South Africa on Saturday, could red-card major sporting events heading to the country, including the 2010 World Cup. The Sunday Independent reports that the South African National Editors' Forum (SANEF) is locked in a duel with FIFA over restrictive media proposals. These include censorship and a ban on independent websites covering the upcoming Confederations Cup matches, as well as a proposal that prevents a new agency from supplying material to a third party."

VICTORY FOR ZIMBABWE FARMERS IN DUTCH COURT

Most encouraging news has recently reached us from the AgricAfrica company about a ruling in the Dutch-based International Court for the Settlement of Investment Disputes awarding compensation to a group of dispossessed Zimbabwe farmers. A further 50 such cases are still pending, so the omens therefore seem very encouraging for all farmers who had their properties seized illegally by the ZANU-PF regime. The report, inter alia, reads as follows :-

"Late on Wednesday 22 April 2009, the ICSID Tribunal ruled in favour of the 13 Dutch farmers in their case against Zimbabwe, in which the Dutch farmers alleged a breach of the Netherlands-Zimbabwe bilateral investment treaty ('the Treaty'). The damages awarded were Euro 8,220,000 plus interest of 10% compounded every six months from the date of breach. Therefore the total due today equates to approximately Euro 16 million, and interest continues to accrue each day until payment. The award must be paid within three months."

TAU MEDIA RELEASE

We have recently been forwarded the following most revealing media release by the Transvaal Agricultural Union of SA concerning crime statistics in the "new" South Africa :-

"The report of the Auditor-General, stating that up to 79% of calls to police stations - including the 10111 number - are not attended to, is shocking.

"President of TAU SA, Mr Ben Marais, says farmers in rural areas have difficulty in reporting crime. 'Long times of waiting for calls to be answered are not new to us. Excuses of a shortage of personnel and vehicles are also not new to us. But we welcome the fact that the Auditor-General took this old news and put it in a new report, so that the poor delivery of services by the police are now formally documented'.

"Mr. Marais says TAU SA has problems with the SAPS from the lowest to the highest ranks. 'We wanted to communicate about issues like the crime situation in Kameeldrift with the police, and sent letters in this regard to the Minister and the Commissioner, only to be referred back to the Station Commander, where we have the actual problems'.

"Mr Marais says that no solution can be achieved unless the total problem has been investigated. 'We are glad that this report exposes part of the problem, but the whole problem needs to be exposed. In this regard TAU SA urges government to release the latest crime statistics (which should have been released before the general election) very urgently, so that the full problem can be attended to'."

Douglas Reed was the son of the controversial author of the same name. He himself had a highly-tuned intellectual mind and was extremely well-read. For a while he ran a bookshop in central Durban, but towards the end of the 1970s he took up an appointment in Saudi Arabia - of all places. It would be very interesting learn what eventually became of him.

Was his sidekick that bearded nut? The Joe Pearce mentioned in this context was an ex-NF member, who was twice jailed under the Race Acts. He is now a Catholic author of biographies.

OBITUARIES

TINY NEETHLING

Jacobus Burger "Tiny" Neethling, the Springbok rugby international who died at Paarl earlier this year, was born at Rawsonville in the Cape in 1939. A loose-head prop, he played 81 times for Western Province and 23 times for the Springboks, including 8 tests. He was a member of Dawie de Villiers' famous Springbok side who toured the British Isles in 1969/70, when they bravely withstood the threats from Peter Hain's anti-South African scum. During this tour South Africa experienced a hooker crisis, and Tiny Neethling played one match in this unaccustomed position with great skill. This of course gives the lie to today's rugby thinking that all front-row positions are totally specialist! Tiny Neethling will always be remembered not only as a great rugby player, but also as a member of the 1969/70 Springbok team which brought so much hope and inspiration to freedom-lovers around the world.

JOHN FAIREY

It was with great sadness that we recently learnt of the death of Captain John Fairey. A scion of the Fairey Aviation Company family, John Fairey was born in 1935 at Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire, and educated at Eton and Cambridge. He followed his family tradition in aviation by becoming a commercial pilot, but his support for the Rhodesian cause persuaded him to volunteer for the Rhodesian Air Force where he held the rank of Flight Lieutenant, flying Dakotas with the RhAF's No.3 Squadron. After the fall of Rhodesia he returned to the UK, where he became heavily involved in various aviation enterprises. He was also a keen member of the Conservative Monday Club, and through his membership of the RAF Club he was always able to acquire excellent facilities at the Club's premises in Piccadilly for the receptions held in honour of the Hon. Ian Douglas Smith during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was also a supporter of the Springbok Club, though unfortunately his geographical location in western Hampshire and his various other interests meant that he could never become an active member of the organisation. Our deepest sympathies are extended to his wife Beverley and to the rest of his family.

July 2009 edition

In the five months which have elapsed since Morgan Tsvangarai entered a power-sharing government with the ZANU-PF regime not much has changed in the beleaguered land between the Zambezi and the Limpopo.

To be sure Zimbabwe's worthless currency has disappeared and all financial transactions can now take place in the U.S. Dollar, the Rand and the Pound Sterling (a new form of colonialism surely - and what an opportunity the British government missed by not offering Zimbabwe a place in the Sterling area, so that the Pound Sterling could become the new official currency of the country!), and as a result goods are once more appearing in the shops, but with Mugabe's ZANU-PF lackeys still controlling all of the security portfolios the terror campaign against both the remaining White farming community and the masses of ordinary MDC supporters continues.

Tsvangarai seems simply to be following in the footsteps of Joshua Nkomo almost three decades earlier, who was prepared to kow-tow to Mugabe in order to gain some minor trappings of personal power, whilst condemning his Matabele ZAPU supporters to the tender mercies of 5th Brigade of the PDRK Army! It was not surprising therefore to witness Tsvangarai being booed from the pulpit when he attempted to address his erstwhile exiled supporters at Southwark Cathedral in London last month.

If sanity and civilisation are to return to that land between the Zambezi and the Limpopo then what is needed isn't simply a few new faces in minor government positions, but a total roots-and-branches removal of the old corrupt and tyrannical regime. A complete new start is essential, and as the very name "Zimbabwe" will always be associated with Mugabe and his hellish policies this must mean a new flag, a new anthem, and indeed a new name for the very country itself.

Meanwhile south of the Limpopo there has been much criticism of Dr. Pieter Mulder, the Leader of the Freedom Front Plus, for accepting a post as junior Agriculture Minister in Zuma's new ANC regime. Dr. Mulder's position is far different to that of Morgan Tsvangarai however, as he does not lead a major opposition party which is slating for power, but rather a party which simply seeks to protect the interests of a minority of the electorate (albeit that by so doing it seeks to help the country as a whole). With the White community in South Africa facing an escalating terror campaign of violence and murder Dr. Mulder undoubtedly believed that he had the moral duty to use any opportunity available to try to curtail the prevailing lawlessness, even though this opportunity came in the form of a job offer from a most unexpected source. We therefore fully support Dr. Mulder in accepting this position, even though, alas, we believe that his chances of exerting any significant influences under the present dispensation are negligible.

SPRINGBOK CLUB/ELC KENT BRANCH TRIP

The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC staged a most pleasant and informative trip to view three ancient stone megalith structures in mid-Kent last month. This proved to be an extremely happy and successful event, with the party visiting Kit's Coty House, Little Kit's Coty (also known as the Countless Stones) and the White Horse Stone. Local members were most fortunate to be joined on this trip by John Pope-de Locksley, the Organiser of the London Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC and an expert on the subject, who was able to explain something about the origins and history of all these stone megaliths - even giving an enthralling and somewhat amusing re-enactment of what he believed ceremonies would have been like at the White Horse Stone!

SPRINGBOK CLUB/ELC LONDON BRANCH JULY EVENT

The London Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC will be organising an away trip to Crystal Palace Park later during July, specifically to see the famous Crystal Palace dinosaurs (only statues, we hasten to add!), to which all supporters and friends are invited. Details of this visit are as follows :-

Rendezvous arrangements : Either meet at Brixton tube/mainline station between 12.30 hrs and 13.00 hrs, or else rendezvous at Crystal Palace Station itself around 13.30 hrs. (By bus, catch the No.40 from Aldgate or London Bridge to Dorset Lane Library, Dulwich, then the No.185 or No.186 to Crystal Palace).

As well as viewing the dinosaurs and the other attractions of Crystal Palace Park, the branch will also be holding an unstructured outdoor picnic in the Park, so please bring along your own snacks and liquid refreshment. A couple of informal talks about experiences in South Africa and Rhodesia will also be given, as well as an opportunity for general discussion. SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

We are pleased to be able to announce that the Swinton Circle has now initiated several policy campaigns, with letters being sent to the press regarding the issues in question. One such letter was published in the Daily Mail of July 6th 2009, and read as follows :-

"The Swinton Circle is embarking upon a campaign to suggest to Commonwealth countries that they provide subsidised holidays to British people of limited means, providing assistance with transport and accommodation in their respective countries.

"Those who currently can't afford to go on holiday, such as the old, disadvantaged children and the disabled, would benefit greatly from such a scheme. Many Commonwealth countries receive a great deal of aid from the UK taxpayer, yet we have seen little or no improvement in the conditions in these countries. A scheme of assisted holidays for impoverished British citizens would not only enrich their own lives, but would also help strengthen Commonwealth friendship and co-operation.

"In the past several other countries have provided free holidays for their poorer citizens, which have proved great successes. We therefore urge the Commonwealth to do the same.

ISRAEL SHOWS THE WAY

Israel has created a precedent by submitting the world's first nationwide bill "Prohibiting the Industry of Fur". Knesset member Nitzan Horowitz proposed on March, 18th 2009 a bill to prohibit the fur industry in its entirety, including all importation, production and all sales in Israel; illuminating that his intention is "not to lend a hand to this cruelty towards animals."

In light of this bill, Israel takes a giant leap forward; from having no existing law concerning fur; to becoming the first nation on the planet to completely protect all fur bearing animals from the suffering and death inflicted upon millions of animals at the hands of the fur industry the world over.
     
The International Anti-Fur Coalition' thanks MK Nitzan Horowitz for his proposal and we call on all MKs to support this bill," said Jane Halevy, Director of the 'International Anti-Fur Coalition'. "We hope that Israel will inspire other countries and they too will propose comparable bills throughout the world".

Last month, a report on Israel's Channel 10, led by SPCA Israel and International Anti-Fur Coalition, had revealed that items from the top fashion chain stores to cheap toys in bazaars, that what was being sold as fake fur was indeed real fur. Lab' tests had shown that several articles taken from leading Israeli brands and sold as fake fur were made of dog and rabbit fur!

Each year millions of animals are brutally killed for their fur throughout the world. Animals live in tiny cages made only of wire, before being gassed, electrocuted or even skinned alive! Footage shows that some of them fight against death for up to 15 minutes in total anguish after being skinned alive!

The International Anti-Fur Coalition is a collective of more than 50 organizations from around the world that fight against the fur industry. This coalition, created in 2006, organizes on a regular basis international days of action against the fur industry.

LATEST FALKLANDS NEWS

We have recently received the following interesting item from a pro-Falkland Islands circulation list :-

"Clarin (an Argentine newspaper) had an Easter Sunday present for us all yesterday - a report that the Argentine 'Families of the Fallen' organisation has asked the Argentine Government to harden its stance over the Falklands and stop the weekly LanChile flight from going through Argentine airspace to the Falklands - in order to force Britain and the Islanders to allow the huge inauguration visit by 649 Argentine relatives to the new cemetery at Darwin to take place by plane.

"The article appears to doubt whether the Argentine government would actually do this as it would be a breach of the 1999 Communications Agreement, but it wonders openly about this. It mentions that it was Argentina that stopped charter flights in 2003, but also mentions the Argentine argument that a 'humanitarian' flight shouldn't be compared with commercial charter flights.

"Comment: It's ironic that the 'Families of the Fallen' should be demanding a breach of the very same treaty that established the new monument at the Darwin cemetery that they so want to make their mass visit to. But it's certainly not surprising; after all Argentina has already broken the fisheries provisions of the 1999 Agreement, and Clarin's article itself mentions that Argentina has also annulled the oil agreement. It may all be bluster to intimidate Britain and the Islanders into doing what Argentina wants. But it all goes to show how vulnerable Falklands links are with South America - and how dangerous it would be for Islanders to make themselves even more dependent on South America through a second weekly flight there."

UK IN CRISIS - THE MUSLIM MENACE

Dr Alan C. Clifford of the Norwich Reformed Church has recently sent us the following most thought-provoking circular :-

"Labour Party MP Shahid Malik has predicted the total Islamification of Britain and a Muslim prime minister, 'Allah willing', within the next thirty years. The people of Britain cannot say that they have not been warned. The remarks were made at the October 2008 'Global Peace and Unity' conference held at the Excel London centre, but were deliberately withheld from the video coverage released of that event.

"The video speech in which Mr Malik made his remarks has now been released on the Internet - nearly five months after the event.

"But where are the protests against this outrageous possibility to come from? Indeed, too many churchmen as well as politicians are gripped by cowardice in the face the Muslim menace. One fears that the oft-stated 'clash of civilisations' will inevitably erupt with violence on British streets when expected demographic predictions reach a critical point. Irrespective of the naive incompetence of 'PC' government policies, it is the amazing and long-suffering tolerance of British people that keeps a lid on such terrible possibilities. But for how much longer?

"As a Christian pastor, I pursue a mission which seeks the conversion of Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Religiously and politically, I desire compassion for all and malice towards none. Whether people follow the dictates of a false religion like Islam or they prefer the decadent life-style of much modern British secularism, all need the life-transforming message of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

"I believe there is simply no realistic hope for the peace and stability of the UK without a revival of authentic Christianity. However problematic it is to penetrate the minds of today's White secular materialists, the Islamic threat is an altogether 'mega' problem. The relatively peaceable attitude of the Muslim majority is simply a phase on the road to eventual fulfilment of the jihadic goal of global Islam. The 'militant-moderate' distinction is ultimately meaningless. While the Government bleats about 'integration', Muslims are only interested in 'domination'. Give them time and they will achieve it. 

"From my perspective, there is only one solution. If UK Muslims will not exchange the essentially-backward and barbaric tenets of their fanatical faith for the wonderfully soul-saving and civilising faith of Jesus Christ, they must emigrate to countries that share their outlook. For their safety's sake, I urge them to follow this advice. 

"Muslims must cease abusing the hospitality of our tolerant culture and, where applicable, the generosity of our social benefits. They must take their money, their mores and their mosques elsewhere. Otherwise, the consequences of the growing crisis in the UK will prove too dire for words.

"In conclusion, I refer the reader to my two publications:

WORLD CUP WILLIES

The following most revealing report about the state of preparations for next year's soccer World Cup in South Africa has been received from the Southern Cross Africa news service :-

"FIFA official Jerome Valcke, general secretary of soccer's world governing body, has expressed his concern about the low number of tickets sold for an international soccer game in Rustenburg in the western Transvaal. "We were told there were only 900 tickets out of 43,000 not sold - and yet the stadium looked half empty," he said. "No matter whether France or England play a small country or are not playing well, the stadiums are full at home." Valcke emphasized that the game 'was not a FIFA event', blaming SAFA [the South African Football Association] instead.

"As the World Soccer Cup series next year approaches, and the expensive huge new stadiums near completion, the ruling regime's soccer sport authorities are running into problems getting enough tickets sold. In what is seen as a desperate ploy to cover up the lack of interest among potential White fans on the one hand, and the unwillingness or inability to pay among Black fans on the other, the ruling regime's Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has approached private institutions and business to buy tickets in bulk."

No.128 :  Mr. "Big Hearted" BILLY McCALL of Durban.

Billy McCall hailed from the west of Scotland, and was working his way around the world when he made contact with our movement in Durban during the mid-1980s. Having previously been based in Cape Town, his next aim was apparently to move to Australia. He gained his nickname of "Big Hearted" because of his generous attitude and friendly spirit, but he also had a great sense of humour, particularly regarding alleged Scottish meanness! Very much of a ladies' man (he would invariably turn up at parties in the company of young beauties and with his own bottle of cheap wine) he was also a gifted soccer player, playing regularly for Durban Collegians (it was said that the only reason he was not made captain was because of fear that he would pocket the coin at the toss-up!). A number of old friends would like to know whether he ever finished his tour round the world.

LAW OF THE JUNGLE

Sir,

Another ANC criminal goes free in South Africa. I am absolutely dumbfounded to hear that Jacob Zuma's criminal charges have been dropped on technicalities. This does NOT mean he is innocent it just means he got off on a technicality. The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) are obviously protecting their jobs.

They saw what happened to the Scorpions. If I was Zuma being falsely Accused and I was innocent I would have insisted on going to trial to prove my innocence. Sheik was found guilty, therefore it follows that Zuma cannot be innocent. Now that the Scorpions have been closed down by the ANC and the NPA is now under the control of the ANC it begs the question: WHO IS GOING TO ARREST THE ANC CRIMINALS? I supported and trusted the Scorpions and even referred many cases to them. The NPA are now ANC "Yes men" cowards, so who can we trust? Who do we report crime to? The Police are obviously using Robert Mugabe's instruction manual. The ANC Government in South Africa is the most incompetent corrupt government we have ever had in South Africa. Almost every ANC Municipality is bankrupt. Mismanagement, bribery, fraud, theft, kick-backs and corruption everywhere. Jacob Zuma says he is a man of GOD? All I can say is that God is watching, and so are the rest of us law biding citizens. We need zero tolerance on all criminals.

NO SURRENDER!

Sir,

I have particularly tried to get something going which would link supportive people in all the Commonwealth Realms to counter the sort of moves that Gordon Brown is proposing to amend the Act of Settlement. I have also been in touch with associates in Canada to mount a campaign also.

The thing is to make our Prime Ministers realise that any moves towards change will meet with great opposition and even Court challenges. However the head of Australians for Constitutional Monarchy has seen fit to write to oppose virtually everything I have said. He also holds that: "The proposal for change is that the rule against the succession of Catholics or those married to Catholics is to be repealed. While this had political relevance in the 17th century, it has none today."

However, despite this lack of personal support from the one organisation that should be standing so very strongly alongside me to fight against change to the Act of Settlement, I continue to battle on and prepare for the Commonwealth Summit in November where Brown proposes to raise the issue with the Prime Ministers of the other fifteen Realms. I will be soon undertaking the horrific task of writing personally to all members of all parliaments in all Realms.

REMEMBER OUR HEROES

Sir,

The 13th of April marked the 90th Anniversary of the Amritsar Incident. Regrettable though the loss of life was, the background of anarchy and Murder should be remembered.

For instance there was the threat of Soviet Communist subversion in India, and upon the 9th of April 1919 Miss Marcella Sherwood was the victim of a cowardly attack by a brainwashed mob of thugs in Amritsar, and of course Brigadier General Dyer was angry about this outrage.

Upon the 10th of April 1919 the banks, the Town Hall and the Railway Station in Amritsar were attacked and set on fire, with 5 Europeans being murdered. In other parts of the Punjab railway lines were cut and 3 Europeans were murdered, resulting in most of the Punjab being placed under martial law.

The Defence of India Act 1915 and the Rowlatt Act had empowered the Viceroy's Government to deal with terrorism and treason. Had not Brigadier General Dyer an Officer of the Crown taken action there may of well of been a repeat of the infamous Indian Mutiny of 1857 to 1858 with events such as the Cawnpore Massacre occurring. £26,000 was raised to help Brigadier General Dyer by the Morning Post, and he was called the Saviour of the Punjab. A 13 Woman Committee gave Brigadier General Dyer a Sword of Honour.

The Gurkhas, the Punjab Rifles, the Pathans Infantry, the Dogra Regiment and the Baluchi Regiment did their duty in serving the Crown and preventing further anarchy in Amritsar.

The ill-treatment of Brigadier General Dyer by certain traitors to the United Kingdom and the British Empire was and is disgusting, but then so was most of the terrible 20th Century which wrecked and ruined the world.

The Phil Andrews mentioned in the April edition of the SCN later became an Independent "community" councillor in Hounslow. He may still be. I believe he outgrew his 80s lunacies.

ROGUES GALLERY

In the April and May editions of the SCN we told how we had been sent copies of some quite bizarre documents dating back to the 1980s, for no apparent reason whatsoever. We have subsequently been sent two further photocopies of the same kind and from the same era, also relating to the apparent activities of the extremist political party known as the National Front (NF).

In amongst the obscenities, distasteful anti-Semitic paranoia and split infinitives of these documents there are however some very interesting revelations :-

One of the documents states the following "We wouldn't have to do this but for Nick's stupidity. It shows lack of judgement especially in a 'Chairman'". A note underneath this document seems to indicate that the "Nick" referred to is Nick Griffin - presumably the same person who is now Chairman of the neo-fascist BNP. Does this therefore mean that this character was previously Chairman of the NF we therefore wonder - and if so what was the reason for him apparently desertion of the NF to join the even more extremist BNP?

The other document contains extracts from two apparently official NF circulars, both of which contain even more interesting references. One states "In February, a number of houses were raided [by the police] in South East England, including the homes of Joe Pearce and Ian Anderson." The other, which is written on official NF notepaper, is signed by this apparent same Ian Anderson - who describes himself as "Deputy Chairman"!

As we stated in the revelations of our May edition, we are fairly certain that the Ian Anderson referred to is the same person who in more recent years turned up uninvited and unwelcome at Swinton Circle meetings, and who caused great embarrassment at these events by circulating copies of his privately-produced controversial publication "The Flag" (no connection to the periodical of the same name published by the Flame Lily Foundation in South Africa) and asking some very aggressive and antagonistic questions of guest speakers.

Could the person who has sent us these strange unsolicited articles be trying to tell us something we therefore wonder? Certainly the more we learn about this Ian Anderson character the more convinced we become that we are wise to distance ourselves from him.
