December 2016 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

December 2016 edition

It is a truism that wars are nasty, but civil wars are nastier. There is therefore nothing particularly unusual about what has been happening during the current civil war in Syria, nor unique about the atrocities occurring there in the city of Aleppo. Indeed in the days before mass communications and social media the situation would undoubtedly have been even worse.

Alas only one Western nation has had the courage and determination to intervene in Syria to bring the civil war to a conclusion, namely Russia (and yes, we do regard post-Soviet era Russia as part of the West!), but this intervention has unfortunately came far too late to prevent the initial years of carnage and destruction, and the resulting fleeing of swarms of Syrian migrants into western Europe. It was to prevent this predictable development, rather than concern over the plight of the bedraggled Syrian masses so beloved of the bleeding-heart liberal brigade, which was the main reason for our own forthright advocation of far earlier and far stronger Western military intervention.

In the British Parliamentary debate which took place on Tuesday 13th December there were two brilliant speeches from the Conservative benches. The first by Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson correctly emphasized that Britain’s ability to influence events in Syria had been “severely limited” by Parliament’s vote against military intervention in 2013. The other even more dynamic speech came from a moat unlikely source, namely from George Osborne, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer. In view of his less than outstanding tenure in office as Chancellor Mr. Osborne is not somebody who we would previously have expected to praise, but his speech in this debate was probably the most accurate examination of the harmful consequences of the absence of Western action in Syria which has been spoken by anyone. He correctly stated that “The tragedy of Aleppo did not come out of a vacuum; it was created by a vacuum, a vacuum of Western leadership – of American leadership, of British leadership”. He ended this stirring speech by stating: “Let's be clear now, if you don't shape the world, you will be shaped by it.".

By these closing remarks Mr. Osborne stated exactly what our movement has been saying ever since we evolved during the mid-1970s. The failure of the West to intervene in Syria has not only been reprehensible in itself, but has also badly damaged the safety and security of the Western nations themselves. Those members of leftist parties who voted against military action certainly have the blood of all the Syrian civilians who they claim to care so passionately about on their hands, but they have also betrayed the interests of their own electors. We on the other hand, by correctly observing and stating that if the West doesn’t resume its duty and responsibility of controlling the third-world minions, then the third-world minions will control us – as is now beginning to happen through the mass migrant invasion of Western Europe during past couple of years – have shown that we have the best interests of all in our aims.

But it is not only the West’s failure to intervene in Syria which has been a problem during recent years. In spite of the fact that Western military action did take place in Iraq and Afghanistan to remove the demonic Ba’athist and Taliban regimes, Western forces on the ground in both places were withdrawn far, far too early (mainly it would appear simply to appease the extreme left-wing “Stop the War” protestors, who in any case are opposed to Western interests in general!), thus allowing the Ba’athist regime to metamorphosise into ISIS/ISIL and the Taliban to re-group. Even more reprehensible was the fact that after limited Western military intervention to depose the criminal Gadaffi regime in Libya western forces were immediately withdrawn, thus allowing a vacuum to form in that unfortunate country and for it then to become a conduit for a third-world invasion of southern Europe from its unguarded coast!

In this regard it is not only the extreme-left who should be roundly condemned for supporting the invasion of Europe by the swarms of third-world migrants, but also those who we term the pseudo-right who join forces with the extreme-left in opposing Western military action anywhere in the outside world. It is these same pseudo-rightists who we have increasingly come to realise spread defeatism and hopelessness about the present situation and the future. The hypocrisy of these phonies is therefore dumbfounding. They are surely more contemptible and dangerous than the extreme-left and the migrants themselves put together!

But all is certainly not gloom. The election of Donald J. Trump in the U.S., the Brexit victory and departure of the crypto-liberal David Cameron in the U.K., and the recent referendum result in Italy are all clear signs that the tide has turned, and that a rejuvenated, strong and determined West is about to arise. This revitalised West must be prepared to resume “the White Man’s burden” and to shape and control the world in our own interests once again. In order to do this, however, it is essential that defence spending must be increased throughout the West – far more than simply to 2% of GDP as proposed by NATO. Several years ago the Swinton Circle issued a press statement advocating the doubling of defence spending. Not for the first time therefore our movement has been in the forefront of the patriotic cause!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

In November the Springbok Club staged its annual UDI Day celebration buffet, and were most privileged to be able to welcome Mr. Pat Murphy as guest speaker. Mr. Murphy, who served in the British, South African and Rhodesian armies, gave a most fascinating talk about his period of service with the Rhodesian Army Service Corps, which included many amusing anecdotes about the period following the handover to the Muzorewa government. Although the turnout at this event was lower than expected (mainly we believe because of the inclement weather) it still turned out to be a most happy and memorable occasion, and several new contacts and decisions for the future were made as a result. All those who weren’t able to attend therefore certainly missed a treat!

----------------------------

Unfortunately the Springbok Club’s planned special Day of the Vow meeting which was intended to be a special tribute to the memory of Clive Derby-Lewis had to be cancelled because the planned guest speaker who knew Clive well personally was unable to attend during December. Instead this tribute in honour of Clive will now be held at the organisation’s AGM in January. In place of the planned December meeting the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will however be holding an informal belated Day of the Vow gathering in east Kent on Friday 30th December. For more information either e-mail springbk@netcomuk.co.uk or ‘phone: 07711188430.

----------------------------

In February the Springbok Club will be staging a fascinating historical walking tour in London, and during the Spring of 2017 will be welcoming a prominent wildlife conservationist as guest speaker. Two more long-term events for 2017 have also already been arranged, firstly a trip to the WWII battlefield at Arnhem in the Netherlands during mid-August, and secondly the organisation’s participation in the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony in Norfolk on Sunday 10th September. We ask all supporters therefore to try to diarise both these dates.

DENNIS DELDERFIELD’S FUNERAL

Sad though the occasion quite naturally was, we believe that many readers will be keen to receive a report of the funeral last month of that great British and Imperial patriot Dennis William Delderfield. His funeral took place at the historic church of St.Lawrence Jewry in the City of London, which in view of his long association with the City of London (he was for 18 years a Common Councilman of the City of London) was his wish and very appropriate. There was a large attendance for the service, which included not only members of New Britain (the organization which he founded in 1976 and led for the following 40 years) but also representatives from the Swinton Circle, the Springbok Club, and the Royal Society of St.George, all organisations which he supported and worked closely with. Dennis’s coffin was draped only with a Union Flag and a simple cross, though single flowers were laid on the top by many of his 11 godchildren. A stirring funeral oration was given by his successor as leader of New Britain, Mr. Patrick O’Dwyer, in which he emphasized Dennis’s strong Christian faith and total commitment to the British patriotic cause. He also told of several other facts regarding Dennis’s life which not many people knew about previously, namely the fact that he was an enthusiastic Boy Scout during his youth, and also that he had been a keen boxer and cross-country runner. This probably explains why he became such a firm patriotic activist later during his life with such a determined outward-looking attitude. It was also very interesting, and indeed poignant, to note in view of Dennis’s strong commitment to Commonwealth and Empire solidarity that as well as several regimental colours hanging in the church there were also the flags of Australia, New Zealand and Bermuda (Britain’s oldest remaining colony, and perhaps the “morning star” of a revived Empire). It is frequently said that good often comes out of funerals, and this was no exception, for re-contact was made at the service with two previous staunch supporters of our movement who we hadn’t seen for years, and who have now both indicated that they have a renewed enthusiasm. As has been revealed previously, moves are now afoot to merge New Britain with the Swinton Circle in order to ensure that all of Dennis’s great work over the past 40 years doesn’t go to waste, and talks with Patrick O’Dwyer in this regard are expected to take place within the next few weeks.

MESSAGE FROM “NETWORK FOR ANIMALS”

We have recently received the following quite concerning message from the Networks for Animals organisation :-

“Today, as governments of the world meet at the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) in Johannesburg to draw up rules governing the trade in wild animals, their citizens march in unison to stand up for wildlife. Network for Animals will be amongst the campaigners on London and Cape Town, and have helped organize and finance the march in Edinburgh.

“It is a sad parallel that as so many stand up to bring safety to the animal kingdom, the government of Zimbabwe is reaping utter terror. Wicked and evil; those are the words to describe their action. Last year Network for Animals led an international outcry about their export of 24 baby elephants to China. This year they are doing even worse: 40 elephants all under the age of six have already been captured and more are being taken from their mothers at the rate of five a day. They are being held in a secret area in the Hwange National Park.

“As well as 40 baby elephants, Zimbabwe has so far captured eight lions, four giraffe, eight hyenas and an unknown number of antelopes. Their new owner is the Chimelong ‘Safari Park’, in China where elephants are forced to do tricks in a circus auditorium. Some of the captured animals – those with large horns – have been beheaded so that they may be mounted and sold as trophies. Recently Zimbabwe announced it was going to ‘relocate’ 500 elephants within the country. Now we know where they are really going – to a life of hell. We have to fight this evil.

“CITES meetings happen only once every three years, so this is a rare chance to take action. Please sign the CITES petition telling its leaders to ban the export of baby elephants. If two thirds of the governments agree then the babies can be saved.”

The CITES petition can be accessed at :-

TIME TO DISBAND FIFA!

It is universally accepted that FIFA has been unfit for purposes for many years because of its rampant bribery and corruption – particularly under the presidency of Sepp Blatter. For the world’s most popular game this has clearly been a most damning state of affairs. More recently, however, a far more reprehensible development has occurred which must mean that demands should seriously now be made for the organisation as currently constituted to be disbanded, This development has been FIFA’s disgusting ruling that symbolic poppies commemorating all those for died and suffered during two World Wars against Germanic aggression and in subsequent wars against international terrorism should not be displayed on the team shirts of the England and Scotland teams in their match during the World Cup qualifying competition. Furthermore FIFA officials have also complained against poppies being displayed on the screen at the match in question whilst a minute’s silence was being observed for all those who perished during these conflicts – and even against the wearing of poppies in the crowd at matches involving Wales and Northern Ireland which took place at the same time.

It is surely impossible to think of a more sickening and evil ruling than this. The precise identity of the officials at FIFA who made this outrageous ruling are unknown, but with Germany wielding so much power and influence in current world Soccer it is difficult to think of any other culprit. With the present-day German government facing so much increasing opposition to their EU project they undoubtedly don’t want to be constantly reminded about the criminal acts of their predecessor administrations twice during the last century.

We therefore call upon the Football Associations of the four Home Nations to withdraw immediately from FIFA in protest against this disgusting ruling, and to form an alternative body for world Soccer, together with all other decent and civilized countries who are equally sickened by FIFA’s ongoing corruption, and their insult to all those from throughout Europe who fought and suffered against the scourge of Germanic aggression during the 20th century.

MESSAGE FROM PEGIDA UK

We have recently received the following important though disturbing message from our friends at the PEGIDA UK organisation :-

“Anjem Choudary and Mohammed Mizanur Rahman were found guilty on 28 July 2016 at the Old Bailey of encouraging support for the proscribed terrorist organisation Islamic State; that between 29 June 2014 and 6 March 2015 both men invited support for a proscribed terrorist organisation, namely ISIL, also known as ISIS or the Islamic State, contrary to section 12 Terrorism Act 2000.

“Mr Justice Holroyde sentenced both defendants to five and a half years in prison, which PEGIDA UK feels is an outrage. With parole they will both be eligible for release after just two and half years.

“Please help us to get these unduly lenient sentences reviewed by contacting the Attorney General. We also ask you to contact your Member of Parliament, asking that they make representations to the Attorney General on your behalf.

“The Attorney General can be contacted here: www.attorneygeneral.gov.uk uls.referrals@attorneygeneral.gsi.gov.uk

“Your email needs to say something like-

“Dear Sir,

“Please review the unduly lenient sentences handed to Anjem Choudary and Mohammed Mizanur Rahman who were found guilty at the Old Bailey on 28 July 2016 of encouraging support for the proscribed terrorist organisation Islamic State.

Their crimes showed a high level of culpability and potential harm, targeting impressionable and vulnerable young people.

There is very little evidence to mitigate any reduction from the maximum sentence of 10 years. Mr Justice Holroyde sentenced both defendants to just five and a half years imprisonment. With parole they will both be eligible for release after just two and half years.

“PEGIDA UK Co-ordinator Tommy Robinson said

“’ I have seen many friends, and myself get harsh sentences for lesser crimes. Considering the hate/violence that Anjem Choudary and his followers have spread over the years and their support for ISIS (a known fact), I believe (and I am sure) that many of you will also believe he should have been given the maximum sentence possible. Please support this campaign by PEGIDA UK’.

“The Attorney General has 28 days to review a sentence and make a decision. Once they’ve reviewed the case, they may send it to the Court of Appeal.”

REQUEST FOR HELP

An anonymous supporter has recently sent us the following e-mail requesting help in tracing some most interesting news film footage :-

“Around two to three years ago I was viewing a SKY History Channel (or another of the SKY Docs), that documented the German surrender to the Allies. You know there was two such occasions. One surrender was at a location which the Russians did not approve of, and thus demanded another, this time in Berlin, which was held the following day. Now, at one of these surrenders, which was documented/shown by SKY, included a very interesting "clip" which I have not seen repeated on any of the repeat programmes. On that "clip" it showed a German General, (was it Keittle, Jodle or another?), speaking - very firmly - to either Monty or another, and saying something like: ‘You think you may have won the military battles and the war, but you have not. And you will not win the next war which will be an economic war. We will rise and rule with an economic war,. which you will loose and we will rule .... or similar’.

“Question : Can you or the Swinton Circle find this ‘clip’ and put it out on video? It will confirm what most of us have always believed.”

Unfortunately no name was given with this request, but if anyone can help the person who made it please contact them directly at: CarnegieCo@aol.com

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.217 – Ms. INA ABERDEEN of Rhodesia

Ina Aberdeen has been a long-standing subscriber to the SCN, but unfortunately our latest few editions have been returned to us as evidently her last known e-mail address is no longer valid. We know nothing about her other than the fact that she is an ex-Rhodesian who we believe is now living in South Africa. If anyone can help us with her new e-mail address then we would of course be most grateful.

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE OF THE MONTH

A full obituary to the late, great Clive Derby-Lewis appears later in this edition, but we have also been informed of a series of interviews which the great man gave following his release from incarceration, which subsequent to his death have now been placed on YouTube. The first of these interviews, which contains an apparent confession that he did know about the planned assassination of the terrorist leader Chris Hani before the event, and which also contains a number of revelations about harmful internal disagreements within the CP, can be accessed at :-

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

CHANNEL VIEW

Sir,

Excellent Olympic article [SCN, Augusr 2016 – Ed.]. but the British team is not just GB&NI but GB&NI plus Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man (the Crown Dependncies). Indeed a Channel Islander won a silver in dressage at Rio (Carl Hester) after winning a gold in London.

On another note, I read a book about the Algerian terror rebellion against civilised rule. What a bastard De Gaulle was. What a disgraceful outcome and what disgraceful treatment of the Harkis, who fought against the terrorist savages for the civilised French forces only to be left behind and tortured and slaughtered. Over 100,000 massacred in the most awful torture. Absolutely awful. Then what do the French do? Import millions of Moslem savages (who fought against French rule) for cheap labour. Well they are reaping the whirlwind now. Some do have a lot to answer for.

Yours etc.,

“Loyalist”, Glasgow, U.K.

RHODESIAN HERALD

Sir,

“Guardianistas” cheered when Mugabe came to power in 1980, turning a blind eye to his mass intimidation. They called this terrorist and Marxist a "freedom fighter." Comparing and contrasting Rhodesia and Zimbabwe, I believe that they owe those of us who supported Rhodesia an apology. Whatever Rhodesia's faults and failings, mass starvation and hyperinflation were not among them. Indeed, while I would have had no censorship or banning of opposition parties, I believe that Southern Rhodesia's non-racial qualified franchise should have been the role model for the whole of Africa.

Yours etc.,

Mark Taylor, London, U.K.

MAD, BAD AND DANGEROUS TO KNOW

Sir,

Claudia Dalgleish (or Claudia Bryan or whatever she calls herself nowadays) tries to make out that she left the BNP because she didn’t realize how extreme they really were, but as J.B. accurately points out [“Letters to the Editor”, SCN, September 2016 – Ed.] the real reason why she left was probably because Nick Griffin, the perverted leader of that party, sexually harassed and exposed himself to her. After leaving the BNP she was however closely associated with another extremist former member, one Eddie Butler, who had his own reason for leaving but then became a leading member of the equally squalid English Democrats Party. Judging from comments which she makes she is still associated with several other leading neo-Nazis, both within and outside the BNP.

Yours etc.,

George Freeman, London, U.K.

AMERICAN SUPPORT

Sir,

Thanks for a great SCN [September 2016 Edition - Ed.] I have passed it around at the Brit-expat D.C. area 'meetup' group, which includes many South Africans.. A 'meetup' is a group which usually holds dinners, events etc and is open to all. The British expat group based on the tri-state area (D.C., Maryland and, Virginia) is long established and sometimes has over 100 attendees, (mainly British, but also South Africans and Australians, etc and others who are interested) and even a few who 'commute' regularly from across the Atlantic! Many work in IT, medicine, the law, and the World Bank, etc. Best wishes to Springboks!

Yours etc.,

Alan Truelove, Washington D.C., U.S.A.

RUSSIAN SUPPORT

Sir,

I think the general purpose of the British nation must be the struggle against Islamic expansion. The EU leaders show they are IMPOTENT. We hope you, the British, can DO IT and really resist invasion. You can do it WITHOUT the continental impotents! Stand firm, Mother Britannia. Do not bow to German swindlers.

Yours etc.,

Boris Grig, Kaliningrad, Russia

AUSTRALIAN SUPPORT

Sir,

What a wonderful event the “Raising of the Flag” ceremony in Norfolk seems to be. I would of course love to come, but now I am dependent on the pension, I have to admit, it would be difficult. You might be interested in that I will be addressing, albeit only briefly, the Australian Constitutional Monarchy conference in Sydney at the end of this month, of which I am Tasmanian representative. Thanks for the copy of the speech at this year’s “Raising of the Flag” ceremony. Yes, we shall be in contact again.

Yours etc.,

OBITUARY

CLIVE DERBY-LEWIS J.C.M.

As reported in last month’s SCN, and as mentioned elsewhere in this issue, that great South African patriot and hero, Clive Derby-Lewis, sadly died in November.

Clive Derby-Lewis was born in Kimberley on 22nd January 1936 (the anniversary of the heroic defence of Rorke’s Drift in 1879). As his name suggests, he was of British descent, though throughout his life he was a great admirer of the Afrikaner people, and indeed was often referred to as an “English-speaking Afrikaner”. He was extremely talented as a youth, and excelled both academically and in sport, and took an early keen interest in the South African political scene. Blessed with entrepreneurial flair he began a successful business career after leaving school, but also became a reservist with the Citizen Force in the SADF, serving in the Witwatersrand Rifles wherein he gained rapid promotion until at the age of only 32 he was appointed as the youngest ever Commandant of the Regiment. He saw active service during the Angolan War, and was awarded the John Chard Medal, South Africa’s highest military decoration (named after the British Army Officer who commanded the garrison at Rorke’s Drift) for his bravery and outstanding meritorious service.

Whilst serving in the SADF he came into contact with Colonel Charles Stallard, a veteran conservative politician who had once served in Jan Smuts’ United Party government. Later Clive was to found a conservative think-tank called the Stallard Foundation in honour of this great elder statesman of South African politics. Clive’s interest in South African politics was galvanised by Col. Stallard, but rather than joining the by now declining UP wherein Stallard himself had served, he was advised by Stallard to join the increasingly dominant National Party where the true power now lay. Soon after joining the party he stood for election, and was victorious, winning a seat on the Transvaal Provincial Council.

During the late 1970s, however, Clive came to realise that the NP government of John Vorster was abandoning many of the conservative policies for which they had previously stood rock-firm, and saw that the “reform process” on which the NP government had embarked was a recipe for disaster. When Dr. Andries Treurnicht, the leader of the NP in the Transvaal, resigned from the party and founded the Conservative Party of South Africa in 1982 Clive was thus one of the first prominent English-speakers to join this new party, and soon established himself as the party’s leading English-speaking spokesman and representative. He proved a most eloquent orator, and became highly popular among the party’s increasing number of English-speaking supporters – indeed to many British-South Africans he was the Conservative Party! He also became the CP’s unofficial overseas ambassador, visiting the UK and Europe on several occasions to explain to overseas politicians and businessmen why, by maintaining stability in South Africa, it was in all their interests that the CP came to power. He also of course established many important and lasting friendships with British and European patriotic activists through these trips.

Although he was unsuccessful when he stood for election for Parliament in his home constituency of Krugersdorp in both the 1987 and 1989 General Elections (only narrowly losing on both occasions), he was however selected by Dr. Treurnicht to be the CP’s nominated MP (the concept of nominated MPs had been introduced by the NP government as a means of increasing their own numbers), and immediately found himself on the CP’s frontbench as a highly respected and influential parliamentary debater.

In 1986 another important development occurred in Clive’s life, as he married Gabrielle “Gaye” Graser (née O’Keefe), an Australian-born conservative activist who had previously worked as information officer for former NP cabinet minister Dr. Connie Mulder, but who had by then also joined the CP and was one of the party’s most prominent journalists and spokeswomen. It proved an extremely happy and successful marriage, and together they proved a highly effective partnership in advancing the CP’s cause. All this was alas to change in 1992 however, when Clive was arrested in connection with the assassination of the ANC terrorist leader Chris Hani.

It is difficult to imagine the shock and disbelief which greeted his arrest. Here was a man who was one of the most famous politicians in South Africa, and whose name was known by everyone regardless of their political leanings! It seemed impossible that such a high-profile politician who was fighting so effectively in Parliament, in print and on the air-waves would ever dare to become involved in such an act of direct action, and as a result most friends and supporters around the world assumed that his arrest must have been a frame-up by the new NP/ANC coalition to silence their most effective English-speaking opponent. Clive’s comments on the recording of his last interview (see “Recommended Web-Site of the Month” section above) indicate that he at least knew about the planned elimination of Hani before the event however, so if he was in any way involved it was clearly a bad, surprising and highly untypical lapse of judgement. At his trial very little evidence was laid against him, except for the fact that the admitted gunman, a Polish immigrant named Janusz Walus, had ‘phoned him up after the event to “boast” about it, and that a former associate who had turned state’s witness and traitor had testified against him by claiming that he had given him a “hit-list” of the names and addresses of potential targets, but in spite of this lack of evidence and the fact that his lawyers advised him not to take the witness stand in his own defence (a great mistake in retrospect) he was found guilty by the new regime’s court and sentenced to death (although following the abolition of the death penalty this was changed to life imprisonment).

He thus spent the next 23 years of his life in Pretoria Central Prison, but as has been recently revealed he bore his incarceration with phenomenal fortitude and resignation, and without bitter complaint. In spite of the fact that he most certainly wasn’t “flavour of the month” with ANC-supporting members of the prison’s population (there were actually two attempts on his life whilst inside) he proved surprisingly popular among his fellow, majority Black, inmates, and was elected over and over again as Chairman of the prison’s Recreation Committee. He also chaired the prison’s Soccer Association, through which he arranged matches and kit sponsors, as well as organising prison family days and teaching matric subjects and creating a gym. On a more personal level he started to raise song-birds and Mallard ducks, and also nurtured tree seeds which were later distributed around South Africa, producing trees which are flourishing today! Through all his tribulations he was maintained by his strong Christian faith. Although born a Roman Catholic he had later converted to the Afrikaanse Protestantse Kerk.

Many attempts were made to procure his release on parole, but predictable the ANC regime continuously refused this. As his health declined due to the hellish prison conditions and the two attempts on his life (he was diagnosed with cancer and developed gangrene in one leg) his family and legal team applied for release on medical grounds, but this alas was also initially refused. Following the death of the ANC terrorist leader Mandela and thus the last main hate-filled opponent, he was eventually released in 2015, but alas only on strict conditions which more or less entailed house-arrest. He wasn’t even allowed to attend church or to visit Loftus Versfe!d to see matches played by his beloved Blue Bulls!

Although his release conditions included the stipulation that he was not allowed to write articles or to communicate by written means, a loop-hole in the regulations meant that he was allowed to have access to the Internet. He quickly became proficient in e-mailing and the social media and made good and regular contact with his previous friends and admirers around the world – including with our own movement – and showed clearly that in spite of his 23 years’ incarceration he had lost none of his previous verve and patriotism. In what was to prove his final message written to the editor of the SCN he stated: “Great pleasure, Alan. All of the very best to you, you are doing a great job. Alles van die beste vir jou ook.”.

On his wishes his ashes have been taken secretly to be scattered on a mountain top in the Karoo overlooking a panoramic view of so much of South Africa. Clive Derby-Lewis’s ashes may be resting in piece, but his soul – and his spirit - live on, live on to inspire a future generation of South African patriots. When civilized rule is eventually restored to that beleaguered land and it is free again the exact place where his ashes have been scattered will probably be revealed, and will become a place of pilgrimage for all true South Africans and other patriots from around the Western world.

Out heartfelt commiserations are of course extended to his widow Gaye and to the rest of his family – and if he could only understand the sentiments to his beloved cat Boykie.
