As 2023 draws to a close we seem to detect that a complete sea-change has been taking place, largely below the surface, throughout the West – and a sea-change very much for the better!

Away from the two main international flashpoints of the year – Russia’s military intervention in the Ukraine and Israel’s response to Hamas terrorism in the Gaza Strip – a perhaps even more dramatic global development has taken place recently, namely the surprise triumph of the Party for Freedom (PVV) at the recent Netherlands General Election. Even though the traditional plethora of single-issue political parties in the Netherlands means that the PVV could not obtain an overall majority, they did even so emerge as by far the strongest party, who must form a dominant faction in the next Dutch government. By so doing they have caused an earthquake in the European Union (EU)!

But it is not just in the Netherlands that the forces of the patriotic Right have proved to be on the ascendancy. Patriotic parties had earlier made significant breakthroughs in both Italy and Sweden, and of course patriotic governments have been in place in both Hungary and Serbia for some time (the latter though of course being outside the EU). With nationalist parties and movements also making massive advances in other European countries – particularly in France – it seems clear that the days of the wretched multi-national EU are now numbered.

In Britain the situation seems to be potentially even more encouraging. The takeover of the traditionally patriotic Conservative Party by foreign elements who clearly have no loyalty or interest in their country of residence has predictably resulted in the destruction of this once great party, as they have been decisively defeated in by-election after by-election in previously rock-solid safe seats. At the same time the disparate factions which resulted from the redundancy of UKIP/The Brexit Party seem to have coalesced around the Reform UK Party, who are now establishing themselves as a viable opposition patriotic alternative. Perhaps of even greater long-term significance has been the establishment of the GBNews TV channel which gives a voice to many expressions of patriotic sentiment which have for long been ignored by the mainstream media.

Elsewhere around the Western World the situation seems much the same. In the United States all observers – including even those of the liberal-left – now agree that Donald J. Trump is a shoo-in for the GOP presidential candidacy in 2024, with far more being resigned to the fact that he is also the likely winner in November than was the case in 2016! Meanwhile in Australia the ALP government of Anthony Albanese took a drubbing at the recent Indigenous Voice Referendum so decisive that it is very difficult to see them ever recovering.

It seems therefore that the brief ascendancy of the untermenschen which emerged during the height of the Covid-1984 hysteria in the form of the “Black Lives Matter” mentality has now come to an abrupt end. With epoch-marking elections looming in both the US and the UK next year where a sea-change of fortunes as fundamental as that in the Netherlands seems highly likely, the triumphs of 2023 are poised to be accelerated during 2024. The days ahead will inspire us!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club held a most successful and enthusiastic buffet-meeting last month in order to celebrate UDI Day. There was a good turnout with several supporters attending an event for the first time, and as a result a number of new friendships were made, as well as many old ones cemented! The guest speaker was Mr. Stuart Agnew, the former UKIP MEP for the East of England, who gave an masterful speech about his years living in the then Rhodesia (illustrated with some immaculately drawn maps), and then telling something about his experiences appearing on the Farage programme on GBNews. After Stuart’s enthralling speech everyone enjoyed the sumptuous array of buffet-snacks which had been provided, before finishing the day with a convivial social get-together.

The Springbok Club will be marking the Day of the Vow with an informal gathering at Westcliff–on-Sea near Southend this year, the details of which are as follows :-

The Springbok Club’s 2024 AGM will be held in January 2024, and full details will be circulated to all fully paid-up members in due course. In February the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to a Rugby match featuring a side with strong South African connections, and in the spring the organisation will be making a visit to Portsmouth in order to see HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS

The Patriotic Forum will be staging its long-awaited re-constitution meeting at which a re-established Executive Committee will be elected and policies and activities for the future agreed upon early in the New Year. Already a number of supporters have put themselves forward for election to the Executive Committee and several high-profile guest speakers arranged for the early part of next year. More precise details will be given in next month’s SCN.

MESSAGE FROM THE NETWORK FOR ANIMALS

We have recently received the following most worrying report from the Network for Animals organisation about the plight of cats and dogs in the “new” South Africa. It reads as follows:-

“It is the festive season, and a time to celebrate and share gifts with those you love. It is a time for happiness, but for many animals, the holidays are a time to dread – because when the festive season begins, animal shelters are bombarded with abandoned dogs and cats.

“When some people go on holiday, their pets become a nuisance – so they dump them on the street or at a shelter, never giving another thought about them or even considering the cruelty they inflict on these creatures who love them.

“Some people will even abandon an older dog in favour of a young puppy.

“To animal lovers like you and us, it’s incomprehensible that people could do such things, but for our South African partner TEARS, it could not be more real.

“Our partner TEARS experiences a massive surge in the number of animals dumped at its shelter over the holidays.

“These animals have only one hope: You.

“The TEARS shelter serves one of the toughest and most dangerous Cape Town slums. People there are poor, and very few have the vaguest idea of how to treat animals.

“In normal times, TEARS cares for 120 dogs and puppies, and 140 cats and kittens. During the holidays, they will have an extra 300 cats and 500 dogs – abandoned by their owners and found by our team, sick or injured, on the streets.

“Another 300 dogs and cats will be dumped at the shelter (many owners say they will collect their pets after the holidays, but only 10% of them ever return). Others lie and say they found an animal on the street – when actually, they simply no longer want their pet! No animal deserves to endure this terrible trauma and disappointment.

“The only consolation is that the dogs and cats find themselves in the care of the compassionate and dedicated TEARS team – but without your help, this care would be impossible.

“We need your support today to bolster TEARS’ resources so the shelter can take in tragic animals, thrown away like old wrapping paper by their ‘families’, this festive season.

“Without TEARS, there would be nowhere for these now-homeless animals to go – but TEARS is financially stretched and turned to our supporters for help. TEARS never turns a sick or abandoned animal away. Please donate right now to ensure that we and our partner can continue to save lives during this holiday season.

THE 2023 WORLD CUPS

The “new” South Africa must be congratulated for their victory in this year’s Rugby Union World Cup, even though this victory only came after three narrow one-point wins! The thing which made this victory even more remarkable was the fact that for the players who were still based in the “new” South Africa (most White players now being based in either Europe or Japan) even to go out for an evening training session means taking their lives in their own hands, so bad is the anarchy and chaos now engulfing the country!

The “new” South Africa was not so successful at the 2023 Cricket World Cup of course, but even so by reaching the semi-finals they far exceeded expectations. Australia’s triumph in the competition was both exciting and inspiring of course. Once again Australia proved that they are head-and-shoulders above most other cricketing powers, and we cannot help wondering whether had South Africa not fallen to the forces of darkness they would have been able to be a constant match to the Aussies. The other great achievement of the competition was the performance of the Netherlands team, who defied predictions that they would not win a single match. With the former power-house of world cricket, the West Indies, having declined in standard so much that they did not even qualify for this year’s tournament, does this mean that there is now a growing shift in cricketing dominance from the third world to Europe?

THE DUBLIN RIOTS

The recent riot in central Dublin in protest against the escalating influx of third world immigrants into the Republic of Ireland evidently came as a big shock to the Irish establishment. Perhaps it shouldn’t have been such a great surprise however, for in percentage terms there are now more non-Whites living in Dublin than in Greater London – and indeed more in the Republic as a whole than in the UK! The most ironic aspect of this riot however were the flags and placards on display. There were several Republic of Ireland tricolours and placards reading “Irish Lives Matter” – these subsequently being condemned by the current Taoiseach Leo Varadkar as “racist”! But when the Republic of Ireland was established in 1922 (albeit initially as the Irish Free State) by nationalist trouble-makers, for whom the tricolour was of course their symbol, they stated that they wanted independence from their fellow Britons because they regarded them as “foreigners” and didn’t want to endure “foreign rule” any longer! Now however, after 101 years of “independence”, their island is flooded with true foreigners, and they even have a foreign Taoiseach! It could be argued of course that the situation is only slightly better in the UK, with both lands enduring a non-White invasion and an Indian head-of-government – though Rishi Sunak is at least a heterosexual! What is needed now surely is a united front by all Britons on both sides of the Irish Sea in order to oppose both the foreign invasion and the imposition of true foreign rule!

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.301: Mr. LAO WATSON-SMITH of Rhodesia and Woodbridge.

Lao Watson-Smith was born into a farming family in Rhodesia who had to flee the country after being terrorised following the advent of “Zimbabwe” under the ZANU/PF regime. He settled at Woodbridge in Suffolk and helped to establish the Zimbabwe Agricultural Welfare Trust (ZAWT). He made contact with our movement some years ago, informing us about a fund-raising venture for the ZAWT in London, but unfortunately a mix-up over time meant that we weren’t able to rendezvous with him as planned. We did however maintain written communication with him for a while, until invitations to Springbok Club events sent to his last known address in Woodbridge started to be returned to us, as he was evidently no longer living at this same address. His name was mentioned favourably at a recent Springbok Club activity however, so it would therefore be great if we could learn his latest contact details.

Re. Boris Johnson - he imposed the net zero nonsense on us!

I wrote to the BBC about the Windrush Generation. Their descendants have left us with drug gangs, crime, graffiti in the cities, single mums etc.. The BBC are running a “woke” series on Radio 4 about them.

Also our local council flew the homosexual pride flag last week. I moaned to them. Now they are flying the Armed Forces Flag!

I am also astounded at the Albanian criminals we see in London. I am writing to the Metropolitan Police about this.

OH CANADA

Sir,

I do not have any "special" stories for you from British Columbia, Canada, but we have the same political system. Any idiot can become an MP or PM. Join a party, repeat like a mantra the parties dogma on every subject, never ever embarrass the party by touching on sensitive un-“politically correct” subjects and donate lots of Dollars to the Party! Of course Canada is a massive country, the second biggest on the planet. Each Province has quite a lot of autonomy. Despite its wealth we have 6 million people across Canada without a general practitioner, 1 million in BC alone. Our health authority (Vancouver Coastal Health) now sends cancer patients down to the US for surgery in an effort to cut down waiting lists. Canada does have massive natural resources, every kind of mineral from mining, forestry, oil and gas fields, fisheries etc., and we do have the world's biggest economy, and our biggest export market, the USA, on our doorstep. We also have massive debts.

Trudeau and his left-wing government have increased the civil service by 40% to 357,247 since 2015, and this is only the Federal government. I must also pay taxes to the government of BC, to my regional district government and my local district! Of course as Canada's population continues to grow by around 750,000 per annum then the civil services, taxes and all social services must grow to cope, however that means taking on more debt! Trudeau is paying VW over $13 Billion over 10 years to build a plant in Ontario to manufacture batteries for electric cars. He is committed to "Net Zero" whatever the costs and consequences. Fortunately here in BC we do have lots of hydro-power. The government of Ontario has purchased the land on which this VW plant will be built, 1500 acres of what was farmland. All high risk and all financed by the taxpayer.

Immigration, refugees and asylum seekers, the support services necessary to support these people, the ever increasing levels of government debt etc can simply never be mentioned. Very difficult here, as there, to see how the situation can improve. Where will the new wealth come from? The demands on ALL services will continue to grow as our populations continue to grow. A very recent report stated that AI will replace 30 to 40% of all existing jobs.

Gang crime, the drugs trade, the lack of social and affordable housing are just examples of ongoing major problems here in BC. I am now on phase 2 water restrictions and yet am surrounded by water!

One bizarre story is that Drax Power up there in Yorkshire owns forestry companies here in BC, north of where I live. They clear cut the forest, reduce the trees to pellets and ship them across the planet to Yorkshire to burn and power Drax Power Station - the biggest wood fired power station on the planet. This whole operation produces massive amounts of C02. All subsidized by the UK taxpayer. Sadly two members of the governments Climate Change Committee, the Chairman John Selwyn Gummer and board member Dr Rebecca Heaton, are very much commercially involved with Drax. Selwyn Gummer's private company has Drax as a client and Heaton is a director of Drax Power. Just one example, amongst very many, of conflicts of interest.

RUSSIAN ROULETTE

Sir,

This is South Africa very soon to come....

US Intelligence has suggested that South Africa’s government has deepened its military relationship with Russia over the past year, as accusations suggested a Russian cargo vessel subject to US sanctions docked in South Africa where the government covertly supplied Russia with arms and ammunition that could be used in its war in Ukraine. THE ANC IS PLAYING WITH FIRE.

Russia accounts for a paltry 0.2% of South Africa’s global export trade, while the US, UK, and the EU account for a combined 35%. This means South Africa is risking almost 40% of its export revenue.

The South African government doesn’t seem to care....

Russia is isolated; it can’t trade fluidly with 60 countries, LOCKED OUT BY SANCTIONS. The extreme weakness of the Rand and the collapse of government’s finances will most likely bankrupt South Africa to the point of mass food riots and total collapse of law and order in most cities, with mass murder and arson. South Africa will likely face its worst crisis to date if it undergoes full sanctions from the West that will destroy its economy. ANC terrorists are playing Russian roulette – threatening the worst economic crisis in its history.

OBITUARIES

PETER PENFOLD

It was with much sadness that we learnt of the recent death of Peter Alfred Penfold. Born during 1944 in Norfolk, Peter Penfold joined the Foreign Office in 1963, and unusually for a grammar school boy rather than a public school boy, he quickly rose through the diplomatic ranks. After serving in Bonn and Nigeria he was appointed Deputy High Commissioner to Uganda and then Governor of the British Virgin Islands, before achieving the pinnacle of his diplomatic career and lasting fame as High Commissioner to Sierra Leone.

Peter Penfold’s appointment to Sierra Leone in 1997 came during the start of a civil war in that erstwhile British colony, which resulted in the overthrow of the elected government. But his arrival in Freetown to take up his position was far from normal, for instead of flying there direct he drove all the way from Dakar to Freetown in his Range Rover. This act of derring-do was typical of the man, and afterwards he stated that he did it in order to show people that if he could travel across the country then so could they. No sooner was he ensconced in Freetown than he started organising the evacuation of thousands of Britons and other foreign nationals, braving gunfire in so doing. He also managed to supervise the escape of the popular elected president Kabbah, who had been overthrown by the rebels, to Guinea, and then assisted him in establishing a government-in-exile. In this he was fully supported by Tony Blair’s recently elected New Labour Government (one of the few praise-worthy actions of the early years of Blair’s administration!), and then secretly arranged for Kabbah to receive private military assistance from Lieut.Col. Tim Spicer’s Sandline mercenary company. This resulted in Kabbah being restored to power, but it didn’t meet with the approval of the then EuroCentric Foreign Office mandarins, or with Tony Blair’s ultra-Leftist Foreign Minister Robin Cook! It did however result in him receiving massive appreciation from the Sierra Leone natives, who lionised him and hailed him as a hero - with the restored Kabbah government even giving him the title of a Paramount Chief! Ironically – and sickeningly – in spite of this great triumph for British foreign policy, which brought the country renewed prestige and influence in not only Sierra Leone but also much of West Africa, Peter Penfold was ostracised by the Foreign Office mandarins, who not only refused to give him any further meaningful appointments, but also denied him any further honours to add to the OBE which he had gained in Uganda.

By his brave and inspiring actions in Sierra Leone Peter Penfold showed that he was cut from the same cloth as the great British colonial governors of the 19th and early 20th centuries, and by so doing gave the lie to those who claimed - and continue to claim - that British Imperial power was all in the past. His actions therefore act as an inspiration to those who assert that with sufficient will and determination British global hegemony can be re-established. Our sincere condolences are extended to Peter Penfold’s widow Celia and to his four children.

Dr. DAVID ABBOTT

It was with much sorrow that we recently learnt that Dr. David Abbott had died in 2020. Dr. David Frederick Abbott MRCP was born at Southampton in 1943, and trained and qualified as a doctor of medicine, practicing as a general practitioner not only in his native Hampshire but also in the United States. He was a proud British patriot and also a great advocate of the preservation of the British countryside, being a staunch supporter of the Council for the Protection of Rural England. He was a long-standing member of the Swinton Circle, and through it becoming aware of the Springbok Club which he subsequently joined, though alas due to his failing health he was never able to become an active member. Our sincere sympathies are expressed to his widow Catherine and to his two children and two grand-children.

As far as we are aware nobody connected to this publication has any Jewish blood in their veins, and needless to say no-one has any Arab or Islamic connections either. We therefore observe the current Israeli/Gaza conflict from a completely neutral standpoint – but having said this it is surely patently obvious that the State of Israel, which suffered the most heinous terrorist atrocities imaginable, is beyond all doubt totally in the right, and must therefore receive our full support.

Let us first remember some important salient facts. Prior the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 the Jewish people had been deprived of a homeland to call their own for 1870 years. Although there were many Arabs living in the land which was re-claimed by the Israelites, the two communities lived mainly in harmony together throughout the years of Ottoman rule and the British Mandate. After the State of Israel was proclaimed it was recognised almost universally throughout the rest of the world. The local Arabs (who increasingly referred to themselves as “Palestinians” rather than “Arabs”) were allowed to remain in the new State with full rights and with the ability to stand for the Knesset and to play in Israeli national sports teams. There are 18 Arab countries in the world, but only one Jewish nation; those Palestinians who were not happy living in the State of Israel were always free to re-locate to any of the 18 Arab countries - one of which, Jordan, being populated by identical Palestinian people (note their practically identical flags!). After fighting the second War of Survival (the 6-Day War) Israel managed to obtain secure recognisable borders – the Suez Canal, the River Jordan and the Golan Heights. Almost immediately liberal world opinion started to demand that Israel withdraw from its newly-acquired safe territories, and alas successive weak-willed Israeli governments then started to make concession after concession – firstly withdrawing from Sinai, then recognising a Palestinian Authority to govern Judea-Samaria and the Gaza strip, and finally forcing the removal of Jewish settlements from Sinai and the Gaza Strip!

It is against this background that the horrendous 7th October terrorist atrocity against Israeli civilians, when over 1,200 innocent people were murdered and 247 kidnapped, must be viewed. After all the concessions which Israel has made to the Palestinians, what on earth justification can the Hamas murders have had for conducting such a heinous act of terrorism?

Surely such a deed of pure evil should never be left unpunished, otherwise it would give the “green-light” to other terrorist groups around the world to commit similar horrors (and in this regard it has been interesting to note the de facto support given to the Hamas vermin by both SF/IRA and the ANC government in the “new” South Africa!). The subsequent military action taken by the IDF to hunt down and destroy the Hamas terrorists and those who give them support and succour must therefore not only be approved of, but also applauded. As Field Marshall Viscount Montgomery once accurately observed: “There is only one way to destroy terrorism, and that is to destroy the terrorists!”. What actions therefore could anyone realistically expect the IDF to take against Gaza – the home and base of the Hamas vermin other than to destroy them and their infrastructure completely? They shield behind children and they create their headquarters under hospitals, so collateral damage is therefore inevitable. Make no bones about it therefore, those innocent Palestinians who have died were in reality killed by the actions of the Hamas terrorists just as surely as if they killed them with their own arms. It should also be remembered that at the last elections that took place in Gaza Hamas received 63% of the vote. There therefore don’t seem to be all that many “innocent” Palestinians living in Gaza!

But if there is one thing even more sickening than the Hamas terrorists themselves it is the support given to them by thousands of marchers around the world, for surely no decent or civilised person could possible support the evil atrocities committed by Hamas. These fellow-travellers of course maintain that they are marching for “peace” rather than supporting either side – but in that case why is it only Palestinian flags and banners on display and not Israeli flags also? Their claims are therefore merely weasel-words; they are either Islamists who overtly support Hamas terrorism (in which case they should all be deported back to their countries of ethnic origin!) or else they are highly sinister individuals who the authorities should keep a close eye on!

Stuart Agnew was born in Norwich and educated at Gordonstoun School and the Royal Agricultural College. His work took him both to Kashmir and to Rhodesia, where he worked as a Soil and Water Conservation Officer, and he also served in the Rhodesian Army. He was elected as a UKIP MEP for the East of England in 2009, a position which he held until 2019, and served as UKIP’s Spokesman on Agriculture and Food. He is currently a pastoral and arable farmer in Norfolk and is a member of the National Farmers Union. He was particularly vocal in the European Parliament in drawing attention to the ongoing farm murder campaign taking place in the ‘new’ South Africa and was part of a European Parliament Delegation that visited South Africa in mid-March 2019, with the specific aim of learning more about attacks on White farmers. More recently he has made a number of appearances on the Farage programme on GBNews when he has spoken about his time and experiences in the erstwhile Rhodesia, and also voiced his highly well-researched arguments debunking many aspects of the theory of man-made climate change.

MESSAGE FROM ANIMAL SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL

We have recently received the following worrying report from the Animal Survival International organisation about the plight of penguins in the “new” South Africa. It reads as follows:-

“We’re working to help rescue, treat, rehabilitate and release endangered penguins - a vital first step is to renovate and upgrade our partner’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). We need your help. Please!

“African penguin populations have declined by 98% in the last century. If we do not take IMMEDIATE ACTION, the species could be extinct within the next few years. We have a plan to help them! Please, will you join us?

“Tragically, , it’s no longer unrealistic to imagine a world without these charming and ecologically vital creatures. There are only 10,000 African penguin breeding pairs left in South Africa. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were millions.

“Endemic to the coasts of Southern Africa, the African penguin is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Climate change, oil spills, pollution, food scarcity because of overfishing and disease are taking a deadly toll, and it's getting worse.

”We are working with the Seabird and Penguin Rehabilitation Centre (SAPREC) in Mossel Bay, South Africa. SAPREC is a haven for the endangered African penguin, endangered Cape gannet, and the Cape cormorant. Founder, Carol Walton, began rehabilitating sick and injured penguins and other seabirds in her garage 20 years ago. Over time, SAPREC was born and is driven by a single goal: to help save seabirds.

“SAPREC has successfully rescued, rehabilitated and released over 1,000 penguins and seabirds who would have had a slim chance of survival without the organization’s help. But the situation is getting worse, not better, and now is the time for critical action.

“SAPREC urgently needs to improve its intensive care unit (ICU) to cope with the influx of injured birds it knows is coming. At the moment, the ICU is housed in a rusting shipping container that has recently succumbed to severe weather damage. It is entirely ill-suited to accommodate sick and injured seabirds flooding through the centre’s doors. To help the penguins, we desperately need to completely renovate the ICU unit. Doing so will help scores of injured penguins.

“The ICU unit is an essential part of the lengthy rehabilitation process. The birds need regular monitoring, feeding, fitness and waterproofing assessments, and sociability. Once necessary milestones have been achieved, SAPREC chips the birds and releases them to a nature reserve nearby. It is imperative that we take every step necessary to maintain life-saving facilities like SAPREC to help save penguins.

“If we can raise $5,000 (£4,200), we will immediately start work to protect and preserve South Africa’s dwindling penguin and seabird populations by creating an efficient ICU.

“Right now, we urgently need to repair and seal the container, improve the infrared heating lamps, install well-sealed flooring to help prevent infection and install an air circulation system for sick birds with respiratory issues.

“Endangered African penguins and seabirds are suffering terribly as a result of human encroachment on their habitats, and they will not survive without our help. Please, please, donate generously right now.

“Our solution is simple, but we cannot do it without you.

SOME SANITY RETURNS TO 2028 OLYMPICS

Next year’s Paris Olympic Games has been severely criticised for including a number of pseudo-sports in its programme, the most ridiculous being “breakdancing”. Happily this monstrosity seems to have been removed from the schedule for the 2028 Olympic Games at Los Angeles, and in its place a number of real sports have been re-introduced, most notable Cricket, Squash Rackets and Lacrosse. We welcome this sane move for 2028, but believe that more re-structuring still needs to be done in time for the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane. There are still too many pseudo-sports which rely upon judges’ opinions rather than hard-and-fast rules still remaining (such as “artistic swimming” and “rhythmic gymnastics”), whereas there are still a number of true sports which should be included, most notably Snooker and Tug-of-War. Hopefully therefore this move towards sanity will continue through into 2032!

PAKISTAN PROVIDES US WITH A USEFUL PRECEDENT

Almost obscured by all the more dramatic recent international developments has been the news that Pakistan was expelling an estimated 1.7 million Afghan migrants. Although if these migrants were to head for Britain or elsewhere in Europe (rather than returning to their own country or elsewhere in central Asia) this would be very bad news, it could even so provide a very useful precedent for us for the expulsion of our own unwanted immigrant and immigrant-descended population. As was stated in edition No.43 of The Imperial Patriot, there have previously been two large movements of populations in the recent past – the removal of millions of Germans from East Prussia in the immediate post-WW2 period and the expulsion of masses of Ghanaian guest-workers from Nigeria in the aftermath of the oil price crisis of the early 1970s. There have now therefore been three such precedents! All that is needed now is for a government to come to power with the political WILL to expel our own unwanted immigrants - and if overseas liberal opinion objects then simply to quote Pakistan’s action as a precedent!

Paul Sissons was the official UK representative of the Conservative Party of South Africa (CPSA) when we first made contact with him during the late 1990s, though it is not clear how he obtained this position. He proved a very friendly and supportive person, and indeed managed to persuade Dr.Ferdi Hartzenberg, the then leader of the CPSA, to speak at an early Springbok Club meeting. Firm and mutually-beneficial liaison with him seemed to be established as a result, and indeed he himself spoke at a Springbok Club meeting a few months later. Unfortunately, however, contact subsequently became less frequent, probably because of his marriage and start of a young family. Alas copies of the SCN started to be “bounced” a couple of years ago, and an invitation to this year’s “Raising of the Flag” ceremony in Sudbury sent to his last known address in near-by Bury St.Edmunds was returned to us as he was evidently no longer living at this address. We would therefore be very keen to re-make contact with him, and wonder whether any reader can help?

You are to be congratulated upon writing an honest “obituary” to Sam Swerling, rather than conforming to the deferential practice of “not speaking ill of the dead” [see October 2023 SCN]. Swerling was a truly horrible and obnoxious personage. Many people thought that he was a deliberately planted agent provocateur, but I always very much doubted this as his trouble-making antics were always far too obvious. But he was certainly a phony. He called for the re-nationalisation of the railways and opposed Western military action during the War against [Islamic] Terrorism – hardly the views which one would expect from a former Conservative Councillor, particularly one associated with such right-wing bodies as the Monday Club and the British National Party! One interesting tale which I heard about Swerling from a lady acquaintance was that he once turned up at a meeting having forgotten to put on any trousers. The man was clearly mentally unbalanced.

CIVILISED RULE

Sir,

Well, being a foreign teacher and also a man who recognizes the chaos which transpires when breeds that are not mature enough to govern themselves are allowed to, I sometimes have very poignant moments here in 'old Siam.' One of the things I participate in is called 'historical re-enactment.' You may think of that as rather like the men who go out and reenact Civil War battles etc., but many of us are actually very quiet and we keep America's culture alive by doing things like making 18th century food, 18th century clothes, etc.

Now, I cannot speak to British affairs, but I would say that our historical re-enactors are very important because we represent everything that was once good about America. With no doubt, the 'rock star' re-enactor in America today is James Townsend, a man who I deeply admire, and I sometimes play some topical videos of him making historic food etc. for my students as I try to expose them not just to things they would never otherwise discover, but also to what Civilized Rule looks like - and that led to an unplanned very explosive moment (make it two) on my way out of school.

The big moment came as I was walking up to teach my last class of the day. A young man, Mr. Dome [10th Grade] was standing there, and I know him well because he wants his English to sound like mine, so we're working on vowels. He asked if I would be teaching M5 next year because he wants me to be his teacher. I said yes, if the school agrees to another contract - but then (and this is the moment where I was very proud of him), he asked me if I had ever had 'butter chicken' and he held up his phone featuring none other than - you guessed it - James Townsend in traditional 18th Century American clothes.

It turns out that he's been going through all the videos and has an insatiable appetite to learn all about American culture - or, that's what he thinks and he's kind of right. He also thinks that he wants Thailand to be a democracy, or that's what he thinks and he's kind of right. But, I know what he really wants and I quietly know that he's drawing very close to me because he found what he really wants: Civilized Rule.

I offer that to my students. I defy Thailand's rules and, in my classroom, I offer them an oasis that few other people can. He's responding this way, and Mr. Bank is also responding in a similar way for private tutoring because this is the first time they've actually had Civilized Rule. That's what they want, so my task is very gently to teach them enough so that they discover the truth; and they must discover it without me saying it: You only get Civilized Rule and all of the modernity if you put Caucasians back in charge.

My task now is to work another year at His Majesty's school and very gently lead them to where they find the truth on their own - and, once they do, then it slowly starts to spread, because they will teach others.

Okay. I must rest now. But, it's been a powerful day. When Dome or Bank are ready (when they find the truth) I will share some of the reading materials with them like the newsletter, etc.

NATIONAL HORROR SHOW

Thank you for the June SCN.

I was interested in the Windrush article as I was nursing in London in the sixties and had some of these so-called nurses working alongside me. They were given qualified status and were ignorant and had very poor training, mostly they ignored ill patients and were so incompetent they were dangerous to life. Many worked for Nursing Agencies and were moonlighting. They would come on night duty and after doing the drug round would take two chairs into the laundry store and sleep. No help whatever but cheap labour for the government, and they helped retain the poor conditions for nurses with their low pay. We had a hugely obese Black night sister. Usually sisters would come round and inspect the wards at night, but again this one never came and I guess she too was sleeping. Idle, sullen and unpleasant to work with. The Windrush nurses were appalling, but a cheap option for the hospital and the NHS. My memories of them are bad. Windrush was a disaster for the indigenous population.

GET BACK TO WHERE YOU ONCE BELONGED

Sunak’s proposal to pay the French £500,000 to set up a migrant centre/camp in France is nothing short of stupid and scandalous.

I recently went for a short break to Amsterdam. On the way there I had to show my passport. On the way back I had to show my passport. I would have been arrested if on my return I refused to show my passport and burst through the barriers. Yet I am a UK citizen who has lived here and paid taxes here for most of my working life.

The boat people are making a mockery of border controls and ARE entering the country illegally. If a person arrives in the UK on a scheduled flight without a passport I believe it is the airlines’ responsibility to take them back where they came from. Likewise, the migrant boats should be intercepted in mid channel and turned round. All existing boat people should be rounded up and returned to France. The Conservative government’s attitude for the last few years has been totally pathetic and useless. Let any migrants apply for asylum at the British Embassy in the first country they enter. Better still, make them apply in the country they want to leave!

THE STRANGE CASE OF THE NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL FRONT

We first became aware of an organisation called the New Zealand National Front whilst we were based in South Africa during the late 1970s, when we obtained copies of a publication issued by “The National Fronts of Australia and New Zealand” edited by a lady named Rosemary Sissons (see April 2022 SCN). Shortly after we launched S.A.Patriot in 1980, however, we were contacted by a New Zealand organisation called The New Force which was run by three men named Keith Bolton (sometimes called Kerry Bolton), B.W.Zandbergen and Ron Zandbergen. Good liaison was maintained with this organisation for several years, during which time they changed their name to the Nationalist Workers’ Party (see S.A.Patriot No.20). Subsequently, however, their name was evidently changed again to the New Zealand National Front, though we are uncertain whether this was because they merged with the New Zealand branch of Rosemary Sissons’ Australian-based organisation, or whether this body became defunct and Bolton and the Zandbergen’s simply resurrected the name.

Around the time of our forced re-location to the UK in 1990 we lost contact with the New Zealand National Front however, but during the early 1990s we made contact with another patriotic activist from New Zealand named Anton Foljambe (see October 2016 SCN). Foljambe was a good man and a seemed sincere patriot who fully shared our own forward-looking Neo-Imperialist opinions – which as he was based far way in New Zealand seemed natural and logical views to hold. Anton Foljambe was a member of an organisation which, like the party of Bolton and the Zandbergen’s a decade earlier, constantly seemed to be changing its name, until likewise settling on the title of the New Zealand National Front. Alas all contact with Foljambe suddenly and mysteriously ceased around the time of the millennium.

The next we heard of the name of the New Zealand National Front was in 2015 when we spotted reference to the organisation whilst “Googling”, and e-mailed them as a result asking whether they knew what had happened to Anton Foljambe. The response which we received from them, which simply bore the name of “Peter”, was somewhat disturbing however, as he seemed to be smearing Foljambe by claiming that he had an Asian partner. Further responses from “Peter” were moreover even more disturbing, as not only did he disparage our policy of Neo-Imperialism, but furthermore seemed to have no time for his kith-and-kin around the world, being particularly dismissive of the plight of White Southern Africans. From what we could make out therefore “Peter” was simply a “geographic nationalist” who regarded the Maori people who also happened to live in New Zealand as his “blood brothers” rather than his true kith-and-kin from other parts of he globe! “Peter” happily disappeared completely from the scene in mid-2016 however– which in view of his totally wacko and illogical views was not at all surprising! In early-2018 we started hearing from another representative of the New Zealand National Front named Kevin Gibson however, and pleasingly he seemed to be far more supportive and sane than “Peter”. Just as good and friendly liaison seemed to have been established with Kevin Gibson, however, circular e-mails sent to him started to be “bounced”, and we then discovered that the New Zealand National Front’s web-site had disappeared completely!

That was not the end of the mystery concerning the New Zealand National Front however. In the “Where are They Now?” column of the March 2022 edition of the SCN we featured Keith/Kerry Bolton, but the comeback which we received proved very worrying, as it seemed that Bolton had radically changed his former patriotic views and was now espousing opinions which were totally poisonous! (see June 2022 SCN). It would be very helpful to learn the truth behind all these most puzzling developments in the history of the New Zealand National Front therefore, and we would be particularly keen to be able to make contact with Anton Foljambe again. If anyone could assist with this then we would of course be most grateful.

On Saturday 14th October Australians will go to the polls in order to vote in a plebiscite termed “The Australian Indigenous Voice Referendum”. In a nutshell this vote will be to approve or reject a proposal by the current Australian Labor Party (ALP) government to alter the country’s constitution in order to “recognise indigenous people” and to establish an assembly for them whereby they could lobby the democratically elected Government of Australia.

This proposed saccharine-coated legislation may seem very nice and proper, until it is considered just who the “indigenous people” being given proposed preferential treatment are. They are the Australian Aborigines (a sub-grouping of ethnically Melanesian people) and the Torres Strait Islanders (a separate ethnically Melanesian people, though with some Polynesian ancestral origins). The Australian Aborigines are the most primitive racial grouping on earth (even more primitive than Negroes) who have produced no form of civilisation or advanced scientific achievements whatsoever, and prior to European settlement in Australia did nothing other than roaming around aimlessly in the outback and making primeval daubings on rocks and their skins. They now number less than a million people (only 3.8% of the Australian population) with a high percentage of these being the result of White miscegenation. They are also particularly prone to alcoholism and domestic violence. The Torres Strait Islanders, although somewhat more advanced than the Aborigines, are even less numerous, numbering only just over 65,000 people!

It is often said that the Aborigines were the first Australians, but even though they may have been the first to roam the land this is not accurate. The very name “Australia” was given to the country by British navigators, and all manifestations of infrastructure and development in Australia today are entirely the result White – mainly British – settlement and colonisation. So why therefore is the current ALP government attempting to extend such favouritism towards these primitive people who nature forgot? The answer is that this retrograde proposal is simply another sickening example of the egalitarian mindset which alas has infected the West for the past couple of centuries. It is the Australian equivalent to the way in which Negroes are pampered in North America and South Asians are pampered in Britain!

The current proposals are alas not the first steps taken by egalitarians to destroy the true Australian identity. The Australian National Anthem has already been altered to cater for Aborigine sensitivities, and totally ridiculous Aboriginal “Welcome to our Country” ceremonies now have to take place to suck-up to the pampered “indigenous peoples” prior to all major public and sporting events. Happily most true Australians are contemptuous of these acts of appeasement however, with the word “YOUNG” now being belted out during the National Anthem and the ridiculous Aborigine “Welcome to our Country” ceremony being greeted with sarcasm!

On 6th November 1999 Australians confounded “received wisdom” by decisively voting against earlier socialist proposals to turn the country into a Republic, thus acting as a full-stop to the “politically-correct” 1990s which had caused so much damage throughout the West, and ushering in a far more civilised global era during the first two decades of the 21st century. Now that “wokism” – the successor to the “political correctness” of the 1990s - has reared its ugly head around the West, let us hope that Australians will again vote “No”, and thus vote for sanity in order to put an end to similar retrogressive nonsense!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club maintained the tradition of the “Raising the Flag” ceremony last month, commemoration the first raising of the Union Flag at Salisbury, Rhodesia, in 1890, and continued so heroically by Peter Sladden at his manor in Norfolk for 37 years after Rhodesia’s handover to terrorists in 1980. This year’s event was held at Sudbury in Suffolk, a venue chosen because it was the childhood home of Sir Leander Starr Jameson, and proved a great success. The day started with a rendezvous at the “Painters at the Angel” hostelry, a most congenial establishment which served sumptuous food and good ale, and then continued with the unfurling of the BSAP Flag by Glenn Seymour-Hall, a leading official of the BSAP Regimental Association UK Branch, across the road outside the actual house where Sir Leander Starr Jameson lived as a boy. The party then moved on to the former Sudbury Grammar School building where Sir Leander Starr Jameson received his early education, outside which the actual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony took place. Martin Stewart-Whyte acted as Parade Commander this year, with the Union Flag being raised by Alan Williamson, the Rhodesian Flag by Barry Cameron, and the BSAP Flag by Glenn Seymour-Hall. Gary Vincent then read the poem “If” (which had been written by Rudyard Kipling as a tribute to Sir Leander Starr Jameson) followed by the singing of the Rhodesian and British National Anthems, led by Neil Thane. The ceremony concluded with toasts in Sandeman’s Port being raised to the King and Queen and to the immortal memories of Sir Leander Starr Jameson and Peter Sladden, with Nigel Gerrans proposing a further toast to the immortal memories of all those who fought and died for Rhodesia. The party then proceeded to the near-by Sudbury Hive Community Hub, where key-note speeches were given by Stuart Agnew (the former UKIP MEP for the East of England) and by Glenn Seymour-Hall, who told the fascinating and at time moving story about his service in the BSAP, speeches which were followed by a captivating PowerPoint presentation about the life and career of Sir Leander Starr Jameson given by Gary Vincent. Finally the party returned to “Painters at the Angel” for a convivial ending to what had proved a most memorable and inspiring day. The Springbok Club’s trip to see a Rugby match featuring a club with strong South African connections has now had to be put back to later during the season because of preoccupations with the current Rugby World Cup, but plans for the organisation’s annual UDI Day celebration buffet-meeting to be addressed by a prominent expatriate Rhodesian in November are still on course, and full details will be given in next month’s SCN. In December the Springbok Club will be marking the Day of the Vow with a gathering in the Southend area, and the organisation’s 2024 AGM will be held in January.

PATRIOTIC FORUM NEWS

A small group of Patriotic Forum members met up with a visiting Australian supporter who was visiting the UK last month. Although we feel it best not to name this Australian supporters as he holds a prominent position in he Australian civil service, we can relay that he was able to tell us a lot of details about the forthcoming “Australian Indigenous Voice Referendum” and other current developments in Australia, and thereby strengthened links and solidarity between supporters from different part of the Commonwealth.

It is still hoped that the Patriotic Forum will be able to hold an AGM before he end of the year, whereat current vacancies on the organisation’s Executive Committee can be filled, and thereafter to resume regular monthly meetings during 2024.

MESSAGE FROM ANIMAL SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL

We have recently received the following most disturbing report from the Animal Survival International organisation about the threats to wildlife in Nigeria and the “new” South Africa. It reads as follows:-

“We support pangolin projects in Nigeria and South Africa - but critical emergency funds are running dry. An URGENT NEED is to establish a critical care rehabilitation centre.

“Critically endangered pangolins are the most trafficked mammals in the world, with more than ONE MILLION poached over the last decade. The insatiable demand of the illegal wildlife trade has driven all eight species of pangolin to the brink of extinction. Every year, tens of thousands of pangolins are poached and killed for their scales - falsely believed to serve medicinal purposes - and their meat, which is considered a delicacy among the ultra-rich in many Asian countries.

“If we do not act fast and do everything we can to help preserve pangolins, we risk losing these unique creatures for good.

“Animal Survival International (ASI) supports important pangolin projects in Nigeria and South Africa, but our emergency funds for critical operations are running dry. We must ensure that our partners on the ground are ready to respond immediately to any emergency, and that they are well equipped to deal with challenges we may encounter.

“Currently, numerous pangolin smuggling routes operate in and out of Mpumalanga [Eastern Transvaal], South Africa. There are increasing incidences of wildlife trafficking and successful sting operations confiscating the poor creatures – but unfortunately, there are no suitable facilities for treating them.

“There is an URGENT need to establish a rehabilitation and release facility for seized pangolins.

”Our partner, the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary in Mpumalanga [Eastern Transvaal], South Africa, plans to do exactly that - and with your support, we will help.

“We work closely with Care for Wild (CFW), a registered wildlife rehabilitation facility and the largest rhino sanctuary in the world, and is the best candidate for the job. CFW has successfully rehabilitated and released nearly one hundred orphaned rhinos. This devoted team has the expertise to extend their care to vulnerable and threatened pangolins - but they desperately need the resources to do it.

“If we can raise $10,000 (£8,445), we will provide funds to start equipping the sanctuary with the tools they urgently need to deal with injured, traumatized, and dying pangolins. Your donation will save lives and ensure healthy pangolins are released back into protected areas.

“Pangolins are extremely vulnerable to stress. Most die within six months of capture or rescue, which is why it is SO important that they are rehabilitated fast and returned to the wild as quickly as possible. During the rehabilitation process, pangolins are as vulnerable as newborn infants. They require intensive, round-the-clock care if they are to make a full recovery following the physical and psychological damage inflicted on them by poaching.

“Rescuing individual pangolins from traffickers, rehabilitating them, and releasing them into protected areas with high-tech tracking equipment is vitally important in the fight to save the species.

”Extinction is looming, and every pangolin life is critical to the survival of the entire species. Without your support, we will see more and more cases of rescued pangolins succumbing to their injuries from the sickeningly cruel illegal wildlife trade. THE WORLD CUPS

At the moment both the Rugby Union and the Cricket Mens World Cups are taking place. The fact that they are both taking place at the same time is highly unfortunate, as it means that sports-lovers have split-loyalties about which matches to view. Surely it should not be too much to ask the administrators of all major sports to liaise and to co-ordinate the times of all their major competitions, so that no such clashes of schedules occur again.

But the clash of schedules is not the only criticism which we have regarding the organisation of both current Mens World Cups, as both clearly do not have enough national sides participating. Rugby Union is a growing sport, particularly in the more civilised parts of the world. At the moment the Rugby Union World Cup consists of only 20 teams comprising four groups of five, but with five being an odd number this means that the group-stages are uneven and cumbersome. Encouragingly some of the emerging Rugby Union nations have performed relatively well in this year’s tournament, notably Chile, Portugal and Uruguay, but alas a number of the better sides haven’t even qualified, namely Canada, Spain and the United States. If the final stage of the tournament could be expanded to 24 teams comprising four groups of six then it would be fairer and both of these problems would be eliminated. The Cricket World Cup grew steadily from only eight teams at the inaugural tournament in 1975 to twelve in 1999, fourteen in 2003 and sixteen in 2007. In spite of administrative difficulties and organisational problems during the final stages, the 2007 competition, which was held in the West Indies, proved by far the mot exciting. This was basically because of its structure, comprising four groups of four, and with Ireland emerging as the most memorable side of the tournament, beating both Pakistan and Bangladesh and thus qualifying unexpectedly for the final stages. Subsequent competitions saw the number of competing nations slowly reduced for some inexplicable reason however, until for this year’s tournament they are back to only 10 teams – with several top sides, most notably Ireland and the West Indies, failing to qualify! Public interest in this year’s competition has therefore declined accordingly, so we therefore call upon the Cricket authorities to increase the number of competing teams back to the 2007 level of 16 for the 2027 tournament.

The recent death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the private Russian army known as the Wagner Group, has not only focused attention on the Wagner Group themselves, but also on Russian military and strategic involvement in the African continent.

When the great European nation states abandoned their duties and opportunities in Africa a vacuum was created – and as is well-known nature abhors a vacuum. Initially during the post-colonial years Communist China seemed to be stepping into the void, and this of course led to widespread fears and anxiety in the West that the People’s Republic of China was engaging in a policy of global expansionism. Happily the early years of the twenty-first century have shown that this hasn’t been the case, as the Chinese soon became totally exasperated with the utter incompetence of the African Negroes, and swiftly started to scale-back their activities in the African continent – and in the case of the Tazara Railway (which the Chinese Communists financed and built) they abandoned all direct involvement entirely.

Only France of the great European Colonial powers maintained any significant presence in their former African colonies, but this presence was only in order to safeguard their own interests, and rather than restoring order and some form of civilized rule they gave their de facto backing to some of the most despotic post-colonial rulers. Not surprisingly therefore the local natives lost all confidence in the French and wanted them out, so with France discredited and China losing interest a vacuum was once more created across the dark continent – and into this vacuum stepped Russian interests in the form of the Wagner Group, and for this all those who wish to see an orderly, civilized and environmentally-friendly planet can only be thankful.

Russia however has never had any historical experience of ruling in the African continent. Unique amongst the great European Colonial powers Russia’s Imperial expansion was contiguous, stretching eastwards and southwards into Asia. At the moment of course – tragically - the Russian Federation is engaged in a fratricidal civil war with their Ukrainian ethnic brothers. We can only hope and pray that this tragic conflict can speedily be brought to a conclusion, hopefully with neither side losing face and thereby enabling reconciliation, extremely difficult though it will undoubtedly prove, to be negotiated.

If such a desirable termination of the current terrible military conflict does come about then we wonder whether it might be possible for the Wagner Group combatants and Ukrainian troops to stand together in west and central Africa striving to bring about order and stability in that sorry part of the world. Even more desirable in the long run, of course, would be if the seven historical European powers in Africa could resume their traditional roles and to take over from the Wagner Group, so that All the Russias could then likewise resume their involvement in their traditional spheres of influence in eastern Asia and the eastern Caucasus.

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club held a most enjoyable and memorable informal gathering in central London last month in order to welcome Mrs. Susan Beresford, the scion of a prominent patriotic South African family, to the UK. Special thanks are due to Mr. Peter Lindsay who attended this event and brought along a world globe from circa. 1950, which enabled all present to point out places of their own personal interest and significance. It is hoped that once fully established in the UK Mrs. Beresford will become actively involved with the Springbok Club.

The Springbok Club will be organising the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony at Sudbury in Suffolk this year. This venue has been chosen because it was the childhood home of Leander Starr Jameson, “Dr. Jim”, who of course was a close colleague and loyal assistant to Cecil Rhodes, and thus played a significant and most praise-worthy role in the foundation of Rhodesia in 1890. The details of this event are as follows :-

Date : Saturday 30th September 2023

Times : Assemble between 12.00 noon and 14.30 hrs at Painters at the Angel, 43 Friars Street, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2AG. Ceremony to commence outside Leander Starr Jameson’s boyhood home at approximately 15.00 hrs.

Following the flag-raising ceremony and the singing of the national anthems the party will proceed to the near-by venue where two speeches will be given by prominent personalities, and a PowerPoint presentation will be given about the life and achievements of Leander Starr Jameson.

ENCOURAGING NEWS FROM THE SANWILD WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Long-standing readers will undoubtedly remember the name of Louise Joubert, the most remarkable woman who founded and ran the SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary in the Northern Transvaal. Louise tragically died in 2018, and even though those who she left behind at SanWild pledged that they would continue her magnificent work for wildlife conservation we feared that the task might have been beyond them. Now however comes the uplifting news that not only has SanWild survived but is actually thriving, and indeed is now advertising for volunteers to help with their work. The encouraging message which we have recently received from them reads as follows :

YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS ……

The Spanish Women’s Soccer side is of course to be congratulated upon winning this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, but alas this tournament will probably be remembered mainly for controversies off the pitch.

The obscene gesture made by Luis Rubiales, the President of the Spanish Football Federation, by grabbing his crotch when Spain secured victory in the tournament was disgusting, and was rightly subject to widespread condemnation. But it wasn’t this revolting act which attracted most odium however, but rather his subsequent innocent action of kissing the leading Spanish player Jenni Hermoso during the victory ceremony.

So what was so wrong about a kiss – particularly when taking place at a moment of high emotional ecstasy following an outstanding national triumph? If it was a man kissing a man or a woman kissing a woman then it would rightly have been criticized, but this was a man kissing a woman – a natural expression of heterosexual respect. There therefore seems to be something rather sinister about all the following venom which was heaped upon Luis Rubiales. Women’s Soccer – indeed many women’s sports – have for long been plagued by the curse of lesbianism. Is this attack upon Luis Rubiales therefore in reality just a perverted attack upon normal healthy heterosexual sentiments in women’s sports?

MESSAGE FROM JOHN REDFERN

In the December 2022 SCN we reported the sad news that our very good friends John and Mary Redfern would be scaling-down their active involvement with the estimable ex-Rhodesian organization the Flame Lily Foundation because of failing health, and were about to relocate from Pretoria to East London. We have now received a further message from them in which John announces his formally resignation as National Secretary of the Flame Lily Foundation. It reads as follows :-

“It is with a heavy heart that I decided to resign as Honorary National Secretary of the Flame Lily Foundation (incorporating RASA) on 31 July 2023.

“As some of you may know, Mary and I relocated to the East London area in August 2022 because of my deteriorating health. I was already on "home oxygen" 24/7 due to chronic lung fibrosis and both our daughters thought that I would benefit from living at sea level. The fact that I am still alive shows that they were right. However, I am no longer able to carry out my duties and responsibilities formulated over the past 40 years. John Parsons and Lawrie Marshall have undertaken to take these over jointly. They can be reached by email as follows:

We have recently received a most interesting circular from the British Freedom Party arguing that because of its chronic anti-British bias the ‘British’ Broadcasting Corporation should be de-funded. This posting, together with a link to the petition site which the BFP has set-up on this matter, reads as follows :-

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.298: Mr. PAUL KINGSLEY of Hull, Birmingham, Southsea and Coleraine

Paul Kingsley came from Hull and studied Philosophy at the University of Birmingham. He was very active with the patriotic movement in the UK during the 1970s when he was a keen founding member of the National Party of the United Kingdom. Upon coming down from varsity he moved to Southsea near Portsmouth, where he worked for the local council and continued his patriotic activism by founding and running the Institute of National Studies think-tank, which published a number of educative publications under the imprint of the Wessex Study Group. He took a particular interest in the struggles of Ulster and Rhodesia, which he saw as very similar against the same internationalist enemies. When a number of his colleagues emigrated to southern Africa and became actively involved with the Save Rhodesia Campaign and founded the magazine S.A.Patriot, he became a staunch long-distance supporter of their endeavours. At much the same time he expertly organized a protest march through Bridgwater, then the constituency of Tom King, who at the time was Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, in protest against the increasing betrayal of the loyalist cause in Ulster. As a result of his strong support for Northern Ireland he was offered – and accepted – a position as lecturer in philosophy and modern history at the University of Ulster in Coleraine. Alas his acceptance of this academic appointment meant that he had to curtail his political activities, and as a result he sadly lost contact with our movement. Recent copies of The Imperial Patriot (the successor magazine of S.A.Patriot of course) have however been returned to us as he has evidently now retired as a lecturer, and alas nobody at the University of Ulster seems to know where he is now living. It would be most encouraging to be able to re-make contact with him of course, especially if he could be persuaded to resume his patriotic activities with our movement.

PROPHETIC PROFESSOR

Sir,

I suggest you take a look at a YouTube show called Redacted with Clayton & Natali Morris, as well as The Dive with Jackson Hinckle. Yesterday, they covered mounting attempts by those evil, lunatic internationalists to do the same in Denmark by closing 3,000 farms who cannot meet insane goals on reducing nitrogen. With no nitrogen, there's no fertilizer. Without modern fertilizers or pesticides, crop yields crash by up to 50% which is precisely what happened in Sri Lanka.

However, these lunatics have somewhat learned from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's mistake was going 100% organic and banning fertilizers/pesticides overnight. So, Greta Thunberg and her fellow lunatics are going a little slower. I'm very worried about food shortages in America within the next year, and Europe may be much earlier. I've spoken to Europeans here (particularly from Poland) who are confirming the news I am getting through shows banned and demonetized in the West is not only true, but actually understating how bad it is.

So, that all said, when I told you that America is now really 1933 Germany all over again, I was quite correct. It looks to me like Nazi-like governing is also spreading through Europe. In Denmark, many of those 3,000 farmers protested and I have video of police using heavy machinery to try and turn their tractors over with farmers still inside, as well as men in black vans hauling the farmers about to lose their livelihoods away.

Yet, I suppose this was inevitable when the internationalists started the mass-immigration and mass-indoctrination which was really intended to wipe out Caucasians from the beginning. I mean, honestly, when you look at how far gone this is really is, how long is it going to be until we're taken to concentration camps?

Well, I have to work soon, but I will tell you the next step is they'll putting writers like me in jail. I already know I'll be in jeopardy someday, so I really do commend the Bangkok Post for publishing me so often.

THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER

Sir,

I agree - there seem to be more and more people who are becoming increasingly critical of the government's response to the pandemic. I am very grateful that my wife discovered Toby Young's Lockdown Sceptics website (now the Daily Sceptic) in September 2020 which helped me to see what was going on. How much was sheer incompetence and how much was something worse we will never know. I'm also so pleased that we were able to resist all the propaganda about the so-called vaccines. You did well to stop at one dose. They are neither safe nor effective. In the past, previously trialed medial products which have caused ten times less fatalities than these experimental substances have been withdrawn due to safety concerns.

As I also mentioned, I am utterly fed up with Tory talk but no action. There are some very good MPs and party activists but somehow they can't seem to set the party in the right direction. I fear that we are heading for a Labour government in 2024, which will be an utter catastrophe for the country, but the fault lies at the very top of the Conservative Party and the failure to be truly Conservative.

The lunacy of the Left has reached such extremes that surely a bout of common sense must break out sooner or later!

WHO IS OR WAS ANTHONY TRAVERS?

The recent sad death of our good friend Jani Allan (see Obituary in August 2023 SCN) has reminded us of a very strange and sinister incident which took place during Jani’s “Libel Case of the Century”, when she sued Channel 4 Television for libel after they had screened a bizarre programme in which the unbelievable insinuation was made that she once had a sexual relationship with the hideous Afrikaner-separatist leader Eugene Terre’Blanche.

During the lunch interval of the 11th day of this case, which was heard at the Royal Courts of Justice in The Strand, London, a man who gave his name as Anthony Travers was stabbed in the gents toilets of The George pub on the opposite side of the road to the Royal Courts of Justice. Travers was then rushed to hospital, but shortly thereafter discharged himself against medical advice. Travers had evidently been observing the court case, and made a number of very strange and unsubstantiated statements both about why he was attending the case (he claimed that he was the “British representative” of Terre’Blanche’s tin-pot Afrikaans-separatist outfit known as the AWB) and about who he thought was responsible for the stabbing (claiming at various times that it had been carried out by a supporter of the AWB who believed that he was about to disclose some damaging information about Terre’Blanche, and then that it was conducted by an operative of the ANC terrorist organisation who thought that he was spying on them!).

Travers proved a complete enigma however. Nobody in political circles in either the UK or South Africa knew anything about him prior to the stabbing incident, and indeed his name was never heard of again. His background was investigated by various media outlets, but their findings proved inconclusive. One story was that he was an EastEnder involved in the criminal underworld, whereas another less convincing account claimed that he was a gun-dealer from Twickenham. The weirdest aspect about Travers, however, was his farcical claim to be the “British representative” of the AWB outfit (the AWB was a virulently anti-British organisation, advocating that “all English-speakers should be driven into the sea”, so they therefore would surely never have had a “representative” in “enemy territory” – and neither would they have had sufficient resources to send a supporter over to that “enemy territory” to carry out a stabbing!). Quite obviously therefore the man Travers – if that was indeed his real name – was a complete Walter Mitty!

There have been several explanations for the stabbing. One was that Travers was mistaken for one of the main legal counsels involved in the case, either Peter Carter-Ruck who represented Jani Allan, or George Carman who represented Channel 4 - but this is highly unlikely as nobody in their right mind would have believed that a leading lawyer in such an important high-profile case would have spent his lunchtime in a pub! Jani Allan herself once told us that she believed that there was a “political” motivation behind the stabbing, though she never specified any details about what this motivation could have been. We ourselves, however, believe that the stabbing had nothing whatsoever to do with Jani’s libel case, but rather was simply the result of a gangland feud.

Press reports at the time (1992) stated that Travers was “in his 60s”, meaning that if he was still alive he would now be in his 90s. If any reader has any information or theories about who the mysterious Travers was and/or why he was stabbed then we would be very keen to hear from them.
