August 2017 Edition.

August 2017 edition

The fact that Leo Varadkar has been elected leader of Fine Gael, and thereby the new taoiseach of the Republic of Ireland, has been met with incredulity around the rest of the world. As his name suggests, Varadkar is an Indian – or more accurately a half-Indian. Furthermore he is an open and seemingly unashamed homosexual. If this scenario had been made up even only 20 years ago nobody would have believed it!

It should be remembered in this regard that Fine Gael owes its origins to one of the terrorist factions which operated during the insurrection of the early part of the 20th century, which included the notorious IRA terrorist Michael Collins. Irish Nationalist terrorists such as Collins and others who went on to found Fine Gael of course maintained that their aim was to release the island of Ireland from “foreign” rule (which in reality simply meant that they rejected Union with their fellow-Britons from the other side of the Irish Sea). Furthermore it should also be remembered that sodomy was illegal in the Republic of Ireland until as recently as 1993. We wonder therefore how the likes of Collins and his fellow IRA terrorists would have reacted to this latest amazing development occurring in their artificial statelet?

Fine Gael has traditionally not been the worst of political parties in the Republic of Ireland however. Fianna Fáil contained some of the more hideous IRA terrorists of the ilk of Eamon de Valera, but over the years Fianna Fáil has become the establishment party, and as such has become far more pragmatic and realistic in its policies. It is also important to remember in this regard that – although relative - Fine Gael tends to be even more pro-EU than Fianna Fáil. Furthermore, we also recall that when Ian Paisley addressed the Swinton Circle a couple of years ago he stated that the DUP found it far easier to negotiate with Fianna Fáil than with Fine Gael, mainly because both sides understood their fundamental positions so much better.

Traditionally of course Unionists who remained in the lost 26 counties after the partition of the British Isles in 1922 tended to support Fine Gael as the lesser of two evils. Ideally of course it would be marvellous if a strong pro-Unionist party could arise in the 26 counties, but we must be realistic and accept that this won’t happen immediately, and that Fianna Fáil has now probably become the lesser of two evils, and so is now more deserving of support – albeit reluctant.

With such a bizarre leader it would certainly seem highly unlikely that Fine Gael will be able to win the next RoI general election, and that Fianna Fáil will soon be returned to power with Michael Martin as the next taoiseach. It is widely accepted that the RoI will suffer more than any other member state from Britain’s forthcoming withdrawal from the EU, but to us the solution to their problems is obvious – the RoI must also leave the EU and then negotiate a mutually favourable customs and trading agreement with the UK. The big question therefore is has Fianna Fáil become pragmatic enough and does Michael Martin possess sufficient political vision and daring to realise this fact and to act accordingly?

Needless to say, the most ideal development would be for the 26 counties of the RoI to become re-united back into the United Kingdom, but we must be realistic and accept that this isn’t going to happen in this generation, and in all probability not in the next either. A start could however be made, most conceivably by the RoI rejoining the Sterling Zone – which would not preclude the Punt once again becoming their unit of currency in replacement for the Euro which has proved so highly damaging to the RoI economy. This surely would be something which would delight the more hardline nationalists!

A more significant development however would be if the RoI was to join the Commonwealth – a move enthusiastically advocated by former RoI President Mary Robinson during the 1990s. The core Commonwealth could of course develop into a global free-trade area infinitely preferable to the authoritarian self-contained EU, but Commonwealth membership would also enable sportsmen and women from the 26 counties to compete in the Commonwealth Games. If once the ridiculous Leo Varadkar has long been forgotten the RoI does make such a move then it will probably be too late for Dublin to be awarded the hosting of the 2022 Games (where the host city still remains undecided), but perhaps it would be possible for Dublin to host the Games in 2026. This is a potential outcome which truly excites us!

The Springbok Club held a most successful and enjoyable buffet-meeting to commemorate Rhodes & Founders Day last month. The guest speaker, Mr. Peter Jewell, gave a most inspiring and captivating speech in which he recounted his early years in the UK, the reasons for his move to Rhodesia, and his sporting exploits and contacts there. He then went on to tell something about his important work for Air Trans Africa, and finally about his active involvement with UKIP since returning to the UK. A delicious selection of buffet snacks was provided at this event, but perhaps most importantly there was a fantastic spirit of camaraderie at this gathering, with several new supporters being present, and well as many old faces!

The Springbok Club will be staging a very important meeting in August, which we trust as many friends and supporters as possible will be able to attend. The details are as follows :-

Date : Friday 11th August 2017

Time : Assemble from 18.30 hrs, meeting to commence at 19.00 hrs.

Venue : The GOLDEN FLEECE (the downstairs Cellar Bar), 8/9 Queen Street, City of London, EC4N 1SP. (nearest tube stations: Bank, St.Paul’s and Mansion House)

Guest Speaker : Mr. JOHNNY RODRIGUES

Johnny Rodrigues moved to the then Rhodesia with his family in 1955, and grew up in the country, living since then until very recently entirely in Southern Africa. During the Rhodesian Bush War he served in both the Rhodesian SAS and the elite Selous Scouts. In 1974 he married Cheryl Whyte (who tragically died in 2016) and they had three children.

A lifelong conservationist with a keen interest in wildlife, and being alarmed by the endemic poaching which was taking place as a result of the ZANU-PF regime’s “Land Reform Programme”, he founded the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force in 2001. Since then he has worked tirelessly and unselfishly for the protection of wildlife in Zimbabwe, particularly battling against poachers, and has gained an extremely high reputation among conservation groups around the globe as a result of these efforts.

He was particularly involved with the exposure that Cecil the Lion (and his son) had been killed by trophy hunters, and has also exposed the extent of the capture of wildlife to be exported to China. These campaigns have cost Johnny dearly, particularly as they occurred at the same time as he lost his wife. There have been eight attempts on his life, including a poisoning attempt, and as a result he has had to emigrate with my family. In spite of now being out of the country he is still continuing his fight for the protection of Zimbabwe’s wildlife by creating awareness about conservation and wildlife issues and the enormous damage being done to the African continent.

On Sunday 10th September The Springbok Club will again be participating in the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony at Southrepps in Norfolk. Please try to diarise this date and make every effort to attend this inspiring and awe-inspiring event.

In October The Springbok Club is anticipating welcoming a very important visiting South African personality to address a meeting, and in November will be staging a meeting in Sussex. In December the organization plans to join with other South African expat organizations in order to commemorate the Day of the Vow. More details about all of these events will of course be detailed in future editions of the SCN.

The Springbok Club’s planned trip to the WWII battlegrounds at Arnhem in the Netherlands is now being arranged for May of next year. Please try to let us know as early as possible if you are interested in participating in this visit.

The Patriotic Forum will be staging a trip to Westerham in Kent as a belated celebration of Canada Day during the afternoon of Saturday 26th August. Westerham is the home town of Major-General James Wolfe, who of course commanded British forces at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759, a victory which ensured that Canada remained part of the British Empire, subsequently of course to become the first self-governing dominion in the Commonwealth. Assemble at the statue of James Wolfe in The Green, Westerham (just off the A25) at approximately 13.00 hrs. After paying respects at the statue the party will then journey to the near-by Church of St.Mary the Virgin where James Wolfe was baptised, before visiting Quebec House where he was born (and which is now a museum) before finishing the day at a pub in the town which is reputed to be the last hostelry where he stayed before travelling to Portsmouth to board his ship bound for Canada. For more details about this trip please ‘phone: 07711188430.

In September The Patriotic Forum will be staging an event to celebrate Gibraltar Day, and later during the year the organisation will be holding a meeting to be addressed by an expert on the subject who will be talking about the ongoing threat that the West is facing from expansionist Islam.

Plans are still afoot to launch a successor publication to S.A.Patriot-in-Exile which will support The Patriotic Forum and which will be called The Imperial Patriot. All donations to assist in this new venture should be made payable to “Patriotic Press” and sent to: Patriotic Press, BM SAPAT, London WC1N 3XX, U.K. (If however you would prefer to make a donation via direct bank transfer please e-mail: and we will inform you of the bank account details.)

We have recently received the following informative report from the SanWild Wildlife Trust :-

“About 10 days ago we shared the wonderful news that Nellie the Rhino has been relocated to the safety of an Intensive Protection Zone, or IPZ as we call them, where she and other rhino poaching survivors and those rescued from trophy hunting can hopefully once again learn to trust and not fear man.

”If you have not yet seen the video of her relocation to safety you can view it at:

”We are even more pleased to let all our donors know that the veterinary report and results of the blood test that was taken during her capture and received this morning confirmed that indeed Nellie is between 5 to 8 months pregnant. Both her and her unborn calf are doing well and if all goes according to plan we will expect the little one in about 8 -11 months’ time. White rhinos have a gestation period of approximately 16 months.

”While we celebrate her rescue and pregnancy the threat of poaching of Nellie and her unborn calf is very real.

“Many of you may or may now know that the South Africa Government, on the insistence of the rhino owners in the country that breed rhinos commercially to harvest the horns, intend opening the domestic trade in rhino horn soon. A limited international trade is also being considered and as much as we support all efforts to curb rhino poaching we know that the reopening of the trade will not end the brutal slaughter. All indications already are that in anticipation of the re-opening of the trade, poachers are targeting and killing rhinos on an increasing level. The danger to Nellie and her unborn calf is very real and we must ensure their safety, but we can only do this with your help and support.

”We are concerned about the slow progress of our Fundraising Campaign and would like to appeal to our supporters to help us in ensuring the safety of rhinos in the IPZ's. We cannot rest until we have reached our goal of making it impossible for poachers to target rescued rhinos.

It has been good to see women’s team sport receiving far more media coverage over recent months – Soccer, Rugby Union, and perhaps most noteworthy of all Cricket. The recent Women’s Cricket World Cup produced a most splendid and exciting victory for England – albeit only against third-world opposition in the final. It was however very surprising to see the “new” South African team reach the semi-finals of this competition, particularly amazing when the current anarchic and disintegrating state of South African society is taken into account. Inevitably this “new” South African team had to be multi-racial in composition, and it thus seemed bizarre to witness the players go into a multi-cultural prayer-huddle after their defeat by England in the semi-final. With so many religions being present in this multi-racial side one cannot help but wonder which God they were actually praying to!

Following the praiseworthy luncheon staged by The Council of United Commonwealth Societies of Tasmania to celebrate the 91st birthday of H.M.The Queen which we reported on in last month’s SCN, it has been equally encouraging to receive notification from our very good friend and supporter from Tasmania, Reg Watson, about a luncheon to be held by the Tasmanian Branch of the Australian National Flag Association on Tuesday 5th September at Parliament House, Hobart. For more details please e-mail Reg Watson at:

No.225 – Ms. JENNY RAMSAY of Durban

Jenny Ramsay (the name may have been spelt Ramsey) worked as a part-time barmaid at the Riviera Hotel on the Victoria Embankment in Durban at approximately the same time as the attempted Seychelles Coup was planned there during the early 1980s (though she was not involved with this in any way). She was a most beautiful and friendly girl, albeit somewhat shy. It would be very interesting to learn what happened to her and where she is now.

The US-based Mass Resistance movement, which has now established a presence in the UK, campaigns in favour of what they term Family Values (something which could perhaps better be described as Civilised and Moral Values). It undoubtedly would not meet with the approval of the new RoI taoiseach Leo Varadkar, but we believe that many if not most of our readers would fully support its aims and objectives. Its web-site can be accessed at:-

Viscount St Davids was jailed for calling an anti-Brexit Guyana immigrant various names. Seems as if she’s a fat-mouth Non-White who is so deluded that she thinks she’s one of us! Brexit will not be stopped. It’s our vote and our land. She is for sure a police informer for cash.

Many thanks for an interesting and entertaining read in the July Edition of the SCN - a monthly treat if there ever was one!

As someone who has recently started travelling to Germany regularly on business, the changes that have happened to that great country as a result of Mrs. Merkel's suicidal and inexplicable open-door policy are really alarming. One books into an upmarket historic hotel and finds that a large proportion is being used to house newly arrived immigrants from the Arab world. Walking down the streets of pleasant, prosperous cities like Wiesbaden and Mainz, one sees gangs of threatening youths on every street corner, up to no good - you simply didn't see this 5 years ago. So many of these immigrants come from peaceful and stable countries like Morocco, which thousands of British holidaymakers flock to each year - they are safe in their own countries, and have no cause to be living in Western Europe. The situation is completely out of control and the German government does nothing to address this. I applaud your suggestion that the pre-1871 boundaries of the states of the German Zollverein are restored!

Yours etc.,

Richard P. Kent, London, U.K.

It seems as if people are fed up about the land claims/"stole the land" issue and are digging in. I read elsewhere that the SANDF is effectively broke. I know that SAAF squadrons are barely hobbling along. As always not a peep from the liberals in the UK!

Do you have ex-MP Peter Hain and John Simpson of the BBC [married to a South African] on you mailing list? I think it would be wise to keep them informed to curtail their drivel when they make their extremely rare public utterances. Have you considered contacting Piers Morgan? He is mates with Kevin Petersen and seems to enjoy debating contentious issues - e.g. 2nd Amendment of US Constitution. If you could get him going public on the real issues in South Africa it would help many people out of their darkness and end “The Rainbow Nation” illusion.

Do you read American Renaissance ( Excellent commentary from the USA saying what White Africans have been saying since the beginning of time

Yours etc.,

It was with great sadness that we recently learnt of the death of Norman “Skip” Rausch. Although born in the UK, “Skip” Rausch moved to Rhodesia at an early age and became a Rhodesian through and through. He was a farmer by profession, but also served in the BSAP Reserve, becoming a “stick commander” – hence his nickname! After the fall of Rhodesia he returned to the UK, but never lost his Rhodesian pioneer attitude to life, always wearing shorts even during the coldest weather! He discovered The Springbok Club late in life, but the organization then became his main interest and passion. Quiet and unassuming, he became a popular and much valued member of the organization, until failing health sadly curtailed his regular activities. We mourn the passing of “Skip” Rausch – a true Rhodesian and a true son of Empire. His pioneer spirit will live on and continue to inspire us however. Our race has produced the likes of him before – and will do so again in future!
