February 2018 Edition.

February 2018 edition

The SCN does not take sides in party politics, certainly not in British party politics. We are aware, however, that many of our readers are supporters and even members of UKIP, and furthermore we regard ourselves as candid friends of this party. We believe therefore that we are justified in commenting upon the recent internal conflict which has alas embroiled UKIP.

Following the resignation of Paul Nuttall as leader of UKIP in the aftermath of their disappointing performance at the 2017 General Election there was of course a plethora of candidates standing to replace him as leader. One of our supporters who is a prominent member of UKIP told us that in his opinion Henry Bolton was the best candidate on offer – in spite of the fact that earlier during his life he had been a member of the Liberal Democratic Party! We must admit that at the time we have never heard of Henry Bolton previously, but following his surprise election as leader we started to investigate his background and study what he had to say – and found that we very much liked the man - his past flirtation with the LibDems notwithstanding!

Quite obviously with so many unsuccessful candidates and consequent bruised egos Henry Bolton gained many unwarranted enemies within the UKIP hierarchy, and it is against this background which the subsequent attempts to remove him as party leader by the UKIP National Executive should be viewed. Henry Bolton has evidently been enduring an unhappy marriage for quite some time – but alas in our world today this is by no means an uncommon experience, so therefore not something which Henry Bolton should be condemned for. His main “crime” in the eyes of his detractors within the UKIP hierarchy seems to have been to have fallen in love however – again nothing which any normal person would condemn anyone for!

We of course knew nothing about Jo Marney, Henry Bolton’s new amour, prior to all the media carfuffle. From what we have subsequently read and discovered she seems to be a truly outstanding woman however – intelligent, vivacious and dedicated to the cause of British sovereign independence. The main criticisms of her seem to centre around her brave and honest comments about the suitability of Prince Harry of Wales’s proposed bride. These comments of hers are however simply the same as those being expressed openly in every pub and club around the country, and throughout social media – indeed most of the comments being made in these other environments tend to be far more forthright and crude!

It is not for us to say whether UKIP should or should not replace Henry Bolton as leader of course. All we will say is that we hope both he and Jo Marney find true happiness in future – and dare we say it, perhaps Jo Marney would have made a far better bride for Prince Harry than the totally unsuitable foreign divorcĂ©e who he has unfortunately chosen.

The Springbok Club successfully held their 2018 AGM last month, at which the existing Committee were re-elected en bloc. It was also agreed at this meeting what steps to take in order to ensure that the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony is continued following the sad death of Peter Sladden at the end of last year. Following the business side of the AGM Mr. Gary Vincent gave a most fascinating PowerPoint presentation about the life and career of Gen. James Wolfe.

The Springbok Club will be staging a visit to the National Army Museum in Chelsea on Saturday 24th February. There will be no charge for this event, so simply assemble outside the main entrance of the Museum at approximately 14.30 hrs. For more information either e-mail: or ‘phone: 07711188430.

The Springbok Club is anticipating staging a meeting to be addressed by a prominent visiting South African personality during March, and in April will be holding a special event to celebrate van Riebeeck Day. Later during the year The Springbok Club will be staging another visit to Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, and will also be involved with the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony. More details about all these activities will be included in future editions of the SCN.

The Patriotic Forum held a most inspiring and enjoyable “double-decker” of events last month. They started with a short ceremony celebrating Australia Day at the bust of Admiral Arthur Phillip (the founder of Sydney and the first ever Governor of New South Wales) in the City of London – thus continuing the great tradition of commemorating this day which was organized for so many years by the late, great Dennis Delderfield. After this ceremony a meeting was held in conjunction with the on-line EuroSceptic publication EU Today in central London which was addressed by Mr.George Major, the Life President of The Pearly Kings and Queens Guild. This proved to be a fascinating illustrated talk, in which George Major told much about the history of the Pearly Kings and Queens movement- - not only a great London cultural tradition but also a great British cultural tradition - and about Cockney culture in general.

The Patriotic Forum will be celebrating New Zealand Day this year by staging a trip to St.Paul's Cathedral in London, where inter alia they shall be visiting and paying their respects at the grave of Sir George Grey KCB, who served twice as Governor of New Zealand and subsequently became the 11th Prime Minister of New Zealand. After this visit the Patriotic Forum party will be adjourning to a near-by hostelry where a PowerPoint presentation about the life and career of Sir George Grey will be shown.

This event will take place on Tuesday 6th February. Assemble beside the statue to Queen Anne at the front of St.Paul's Cathedral between 14.00 hrs and 14.30 hrs. N.B. There will of course be a small charge for admission to St.Paul's Cathedral - £18.00 per head, or £16.00 for concessions. For more details either e-mail: or ‘phone: 07711188430

In March The Patriotic Forum will be holding a meeting to be addressed by a prominent member of The Campaign for an Independent Britain, who will be speaking on the aftermath of the glorious Brexit Referendum victory, and about the way in which he predicts the Brexit negotiations will develop, and in April The Patriotic Forum is planning a special event in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the RAF. Further details about both these events will of course be detailed in next month’s edition of the SCN..

We have recently received the following quite concerning report from the SanWild Wildlife Trust. Although now somewhat dated we thought even so that readers would be interested to read about the struggle to save yet another rhino in South Africa :-

“For the past 25 days; a small group of dedicated rhino lovers and activists have worked very hard to prevent a rhino named Omkhulu from being trophy hunted.

”With your help we have managed to raise 46% of the total needed, but time is running out fast and at this stage it seems unlikely that we can raise the balance needed in the next couple of days so we had to come up with interim solutions to ensure Omkhulu is not killed by trophy hunters.

“We continue to push ahead and do whatever is necessary to ensure this rhino lives!

”With the help of some wonderful people and individuals; a stay of execution has been secured for Omkhulu and an extension has been grated on the sales agreement up to the 15th December 2017 providing that we raise at least 50% of the total needed by the end of this week and pay it over before month end.

”In the interim Omkhulu will unfortunately be dehorned by the current owner and will then be moved to another non-hunting farm for his protection. Providing that we can secure the balance of the required funding, Omkhulu will be relocated to the IPZ by end of January 2018.

”This measure has been taken as all the permit offices will be closing for the festive season around the 15th December 2017 and will only reopen in early January 2018 leaving us unable to secure relocation and capture permits before then.

”While we fight hard to rescue individual rhinos, South Africa’s official approach to rhino conservation involves a contradiction. While calling for the protection of rhinos as a species, it promotes their use as a resource to be exploited for human gain. It is bound to fail. To read more on this go to :-

Association Football – Soccer – is of course the most popular sport in Britain. This fact has for long made it a centre of attention for all shades of the political spectrum. During the mid-1970s The National Party of the United Kingdom (viewed by many as the ideological forerunner of UKIP, and indeed a predecessor of our own movement) was perhaps the first patriotic political party really to appreciate the potential of using Football to galvanise popular support. Articles about the game were featured in its publication Britain First and large contingents of Football supporters took part in its massive anti-immigration marches in both Blackburn and London. Alas the financial demise of the NPUK meant that this early initiative by patriotic forces was lost, and this opportunity unfortunately then passed to the liberal-left “politically correct brigade”, who slowly but surely ensured that ever increasing numbers of non-White players (and subsequently foreign players in general) were forced into the English and Scottish leagues – and that any objections to this by supporters and officials alike were greeted with the inevitable parrot-cries of “racism”!

In spite of almost four decades of enforced integration in the game and the best efforts of the “political-correctness police” Kick It Out campaign, the natural desire by the majority of Football fans to see their own people playing for their own local teams has not been eradicated however. Of late two occurances have shown that in spite of the efforts by the Kick It Out gestapo there have still been both supporters and officials brave enough to stand up to them.

The first occurred following the death of the former West Bromwich Albion player Cyrille Regis. Now the French Guianan-born Regis was undoubtedly a very nice and decent fellow, but unfortunately he was used as a pawn by the “politically-correct brigade” during the late 1970s and early 1980s in order to force multi-racial sides into the Football League – and even more sickeningly he has been used as a pawn even after death, with special TV features being shown about him and enforced “clapping sessions” in his honour being staged at all Premier League games, seemingly simply because he was one of the first “Black” players. This over-the-top honouring evidently didn’t go down too well with all supporters however, as many bravely refused to join in the “clapping sessions”. Many also remarked about the fact that there was hardly a murmur from the English Soccer establishment when that great Blackpool and England player Jimmy Armfield died at roughly the same time as Regis – no special TV programmes in his honour, and no “clapping sessions” at all league matches etc.

The other recent interesting incident centred around remarks made by West Ham United’s Director of Player Recruitment, Tony Henry. Tony Henry stated openly that the Club would not be signing any more African players because “they have a bad attitude” and “cause mayhem”. As anyone with any experience of African and African-descended people can confirm these remarks were fair comment. Sadly however the reaction of the West Ham management was predictable, as they sickeningly fired Henry from his position – and even more reprehensible the Football Association state that they are now “investigating” his comments. In spite of these cowardly reactions by Football officialdom the reaction of grassroots supporters has seemed to be far different however, for apparently Tony Henry has received much backing both directly and on social media.

Hopefully Tony Henry’s courageous voicing of his glaringly-obvious opinions may prove to be a catalyst for patriotic forces therefore, so that they can re-gain the initiative among basically loyal and patriotic Football supporters around the land, and thus wrest control of the game from the “politically-correct brigade”!

Reg Watson from Tasmania has recently informed us about a most praise-worthy reception which was held towards the end of last year by The Council of United Commonwealth Societies in order to celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of H.M. The Queen and H.R.H.The Duke of Edinburgh. It was held at Parliament House in Hobart, and was hosted by the Hon. Guy Barnett MP.

We have recently received a copy of the following most revealing Media Release issued by The Transvaal Agricultural Union (South Africa). It reads as follows:-

“The initiative of all organisations, individuals, congregations and groups involved in organising and supporting protest action involving farmers, and their willingness to pray together and taking a stance against continued and increasing violent crimes on farms and agricultural small holdings, is highly appreciated, according to the president of TAU (SA), Mr Louis Meintjes.

“’The current situation on farms and small holdings, which is characterised by murder, torture, rape and assault, is extremely serious and demands appropriate and decisive action. Therefore, TAU (SA)’s advice to farmers are the following: :-

Remain clear minded and keep a cool head;
Improve home and hearth security;
Become involved in community security initiatives;
Establish good cooperation with all role players;
Exercise good neighbourliness in practice;
Maintain sound labour relations with employees;
Act pre-actively regarding access to and movement on farms using the existing Protocol which regulates access to farms.’

“TAU (SA) has already discussed the situation with Dr. Theo de Jager, the Chairman of The International Farmers Union requesting him to inform other international representatives of the current situation in South Africa.

“It is planned to request an urgent meeting with the Minister of Police and the Acting National Police Commissioner to discuss the crisis on the highest level personally with them. Effective reaction to the crimes which are classified as a National Priority requires immediate attention.”

No.231 – Miss A.M. UYS of Scottburgh

Miss A.M. Uys was an early subscriber to S.A.Patriot and a regular donator to the original Natal-based Patriotic Forum, although she alas never attended any of the organisation’s meetings and indeed no-one connected to the movement ever met her. She worked as a high-ranking nurse at the Scottburgh Hospital in Natal, and was remoured to be a very large woman who had visited the United States in the 1970s, where she had developed strong anti-Communist and patriotic sympathies. She was therefore always very much of an enigma, so it would therefore be very interesting to learn not only where she is now, but also any further information about her.

Following the inclusion of The Coalition for Marriage in this section last month another organisation which also campaigns for good moral standards and decency has been recommended to us. It is called CitizenGO and its web-site can be accessed at :-

Yes, we have always been plagued by the “All talk but no action” types [see January SCN – Ed.]. This actually went all the way back to the Save Rhodesia Campaign in the 1970s where there were many who showed initial enthusiasm but who quickly developed other interests and disappeared from the scene. There was the Murray family from Montclair of course, and then Dermot O’Dea and his wife from Glenashley. The worst of them was Chris Edmunds from Durban North who initially offered his photocopying services from his estate agency business to the campaign, but who then terminated this offer speaking disparagingly of “that political organisation”. At least George Hazelden of Somerset West made a success of the estate agents business he founded – unlike Edmunds!

Rhodesia was a British colony. The mighty British Empire could have saved it if they wanted to. Why did it allow it to go down?

It was with great pleasure that we recently learnt that the “LibertyGB” organisation had decided to disband.

Long-standing readers will recall how The Swinton Circle (before it merged with New Britain to form The Patriotic Forum) invited the leader of “LibertyGB”, Paul Weston, to speak at its meeting of 31st July 2015, this being following a recommendation from a then Committee member of The Swinton Circle, a certain Paul Griffin. This meeting turned out to be a complete disaster however, as it was gate-crashed by some two dozen uninvited attendees, most of whom turned out to be members of “splittist” or neo-Nazi organisations which The Swinton Circle wouldn’t normally touch with a bargepole, who then proceeded to disrupt and then wreck the meeting. Even worse was to follow however, for Griffin was seen merrily chatting away with one of the main neo-Nazi disrupters after the meeting had collapsed, thus showing that he must have known him previously and been in league with the wreckers of the meeting. It was subsequently confirmed that all the uninvited gate-crashers had actually been informed and encouraged to attend this meeting by a leading figure within “LibertyGB”, a certain Jack Buckby, apparently in a ham-fisted attempt to takeover the organisation. Griffin resigned from The Swinton Circle three days after this disaster, and the only conclusion which could be reached was that he was deliberately infiltrated into the organisation by “LibertyGB” about a year previously precisely in order to orchestrate such a takeover. Even worse was to follow which only confirmed this theory however, for Griffin arranged to meet two other Swinton Circle Committee members and either by spreading smears about the organisation or by putting the “frighteners” on them, induced the two cowards also to resign. Without a quorum on Committee this meant that the organisation had to be totally re-constituted, which successfully came about a year later – though sickeningly this meant that The Swinton Circle was inactive during the vital Brexit Referendum period!

What motivated “LibertyGB” to act in this way and to bite the hand of friendship which The Swinton Circle offered to them will probably never be known for certain, but we have made it our duty to monitor its activities ever since – and as a result we have actually been pleased that The Swinton Circle never established any close fraternal links with them as was hoped and anticipated would be the case before the disastrous meeting of 31st July 2015. They certainly appear to a poisonous outfit, as was well illustrated when they decided to put up a candidate – the same Jack Buckby who orchestrated the unauthorized “invitations” to the disastrous Swinton Circle meeting - in the Batley and Spen by-election following the tragic murder of Jo Cox MP, when every decent and respectable party decided not to field candidates against the Labour candidate as a mark of respect.

In the on-line announcement that he was disbanding “LibertyGB” the outfit’s leader, Paul Weston, stated that this was because they had never been able to attract any meaningful support – but is it any wonder that they failed to gain support when they go round wrecking other peoples’ meetings and tastelessly standing a candidate in a by-election following the evil murder of the sitting MP? Interestingly, however, Paul Weston stated that he was going to throw his support into a newly-established party called “For Britain”, and advised his handful of remaining supporters to do likewise. Now this new “For Britain” party also gives us much reason for concern. It was founded by a certain Anne Marie Waters after she resigned from UKIP in a fit of pique after failing to be elected as UKIP leader. Prior to this leadership election, furthermore, many leading UKIP MEPs and officials had stated that they would resign from the party if she was elected. There must surely have been something particularly unsavoury about Ms. Waters in order for so many leading figures to contemplate such a drastic step. Our own investigations have moreover revealed many unexpected facts about Ms. Waters. She was evidently born and brought up in Dublin in an apparently devoutly Republican family. After moving to the mainland, however, she became a firm supporter of the Labour Party, described herself as a secular agnostic, and openly revealed herself as a lesbian – indeed being an active campaigner on pro-homosexual issues. All this isn’t reason in itself to reject Ms. Waters and her new “For Britain” party of course, but if she does welcome the remnants of the poisonous “LibertyGB” outfit into her fold, Mr.Buckby in particular, then as a result of our own bitter experiences we can only advise all our readers not to have anything to do with her new party.
